The ships are grey. They have a pair of large sublight engines on each side on the ship's aft, supported by a smattering of smaller boosters under a protrusion that extends from the rear. On the inside, the ships are unremarkable. They sport several decks with support for all of the necessary in-and-out of combat functions. Function The Achlis-class cruisers are the main ships in the Cartel fleets. They're generally balanced, and designed to be customizable for a number of specialized roles. Their default configuration strikes a balance between fighting other capital ships and picking off strike craft and is competent in both while excelling and neither. They sport a normal amount of shielding and armor, as and are neither outstandingly good or bad in terms of movement speed or manueverability. These ships have primarily served as escorts to Cartel merchant fleets within and beyond Hutt space. They also patrol in packs to ensure Hutt Space's borders are secure and to fend off any pirates bold enough to challenge the Cartel's supremeacy. While the ships can enter and operate in planetary atmospheres, they cannot land due to their design. In the exceptionally rare cases that the Cartels need a ground invasion, the Achlises carry landing ships that ferry ground forces to the surface. |
