Give rough estimates in metric measurements (meters) - Height: 73m - Width: 163m - Length: 396m Appearance • The Scythe-class Destroyer is a classic designed ship built from the shipyards over Kenekes. As such is has angular designs and 2 power nacelles. Unlike most other ships of the line created over Kenekes, the Scythe class is dedicated combat ship. It has thick armor plating, inset windows with shutters, and powerful weapons. The Bridge sits in the spine, forward section of it protected by thick armor. In addition to the power generators in the nacelles, the main hull holds a oversized generator to give a surplus of power. It is protected by thick armor and force fields. There are vent ports on the nacelles and besides the spine to vent extra heat in a combat environment. These vents are normally sealed up behind extra armor and shields. Function The Scythe-class Destroyer is a dedicated combat ship, as such has powerful weaponry. Compared to other Legion ships, it is slower to move, but can turn fairly sharp. Its primary weaponry are three lance-type heavy turbolaser cannons on the nose of the ship, fed by the central power generator. In addition, there are 20 dual turbolasers, 30 medium laser cannons, 2 capital ship size concussion missile launchers with 30 missiles each, and 4 starfighter size with 100 missiles each. It can hold a compliment of one squadron of 12 starscream starfighters, as well as 2 shuttles. This mass of armor and weapons means that the Scythe is slow for a ship its class and size, taking extra thrusters to bring its primary weapons to bear. It is mainly set up against ships of a large cruiser size and bigger to offset its slower speed. It relies on smaller, quicker ships like corvettes and frigates to ensure its survival in a prolonged fight. d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net/sto_gamepedia/b/be/AvengerBattleCruiser.jpeg?version=280a8f82e08d808093d4ca5c0b0cb30f |
