The Imperial garrison ordered a mandatory evacuation following an initial skirmish with the pirates just beyond the Sriluur system. Upon their arrival, the pirates were identified as The Hammered Nails, a known outfit formerly operating in the area of Akrit'tar. Following an unmet demand of ransom, multiple pirate vessels fired modified munitions containing corpses infected with the Archeri Plague, rendering most inhabited locales inhospitable for the foreseeable future. It is unclear whether or not the pirates themselves are infected. Regardless, similar raids have since been reported at smaller stations around Sriluur, with the Imperial navy vowing a "swift, absolute response".
