Aedria embodies the genetic traits of two exceptionally well-trained and physically blessed individuals. Being half-Epicanthix on her mother's side she inherited a larger than average body profile that, when combined with her father's natural size, made her significantly taller and broader than baseline human standards. Among the Epicanthix she could be considered somewhat lithe in build but her upbringing and rigorous training habits make her exceptionally toned and fit. She isn't lacking in strong, conditioned muscle over her body and she's well known for her grace and flexibility when she moves. Grey eyes give off a steely and unflinching gaze and light brown, shoulder-length hair adorns her head. Typically her hair is styled into some form of a bun or ponytail out of practicality and she is noted for her visually and physically strong jawline. A single large scar on the right side of her forehead is the only blemish on her otherwise attractive face and while smaller scars adorn her body they do little to take away from her natural beauty.
The warrior-princess' sense of style was once quite bombastic and bold. She wore intricately-made and detailed clothing that accentuated her form and she was frequently observed forgoing modest clothing in favor of more revealing adornments and occasionally for going without modesty and shame entirely. With maturity, however, her wardrobe has changed drastically and she tends to wear pragmatic and tactically advantageous apparel. Air circulation, comfort, durability, and protection are her priorities now. Aedria is modest in civilian wear and very seldom equips risque or revealing outfits. Despite the change in wardrobe, though, she maintains an unapologetic, albeit non-sexual, view on nudity and holds little in the way of insecurities about her body.
Personality Profile
A stoic and outwardly mysterious woman by appearances, Aedria's behavior is befitting of a veteran Mandalorian warrior. Her presence is filled with an intimidating quietness and stern, fearless gaze that she seldom lets fall among those unfamiliar with her. Approaching and conversing with her is a challenge in and of itself and personal interaction with her seldom met with anything other than an outright challenge in her eyes to talk with her. That is not to say that she is anti-social as she's perfectly capable of holding conversation and isn't uncomfortable in social settings. Rather, Aedria appears to simply desire calm and silent solitude and when she desires socializing she will actively seek it out, despite how rarely she seems to do it. While her introversion and distant presence is an inherent aspect of her personality she is far more welcoming, warm, and trusting to her fellow Mandalorians than she is to outsiders and strangers. Innate suspicion and caution are tenets she follows strictly and voices as a lesson to those younger and more naive than herself. Among fellow warriors she is notorious for her strict and domineering style of teaching and leadership and while she values comradery and closeness in her subordinates and pupils she is not quick to offer such things without proof of worth. In combat, whether live or practice, she is fierce, unyielding, fearless, and without mercy. Competition, passion, and ambition are core values in her life and she strives to instill those beliefs in her fellow warriors as she views them as integral parts of the Mandalorian culture. She holds high expectations for all who call themselves Mando'a, herself included, and that shows in her demanding style of training and unrelenting drive for improvement. When assessing others she shows a liking to confidence, capability, modesty, and, most importantly, accountability. The Mandalorian culture itself she holds in fervently high regard and will not stand those who shame or disparage it, either through words or actions. She is surprisingly calm, respectful, and patient in most situations and only tends to show rudeness in the wake of someone annoying her. That said, rumors can't do justice to the temper she keeps under wraps. While her fuse is long, her temper when properly angered can make even the most steel-nerved individuals sweat. Outwardly, Aedria conveys confidence in who she is and is guarded to what lies beyond the surface of her exterior appearance.
Inwardly, however, the true nature of Ghalor Vizsla and Kaekella Varak's daughter is shrouded in self-hatred, shame, and an almost unattainable desire for redemption. For as hard as she is on her peers and subordinates she is ten-fold harsher on herself. Within her mind, she views herself as an embarrassment for her past misdeeds and feels self-inflicted guilt for the tragedies in her life, including the shame she brought upon her mother and the death of her father, not to mention her abhorrent treatment of her twin brother and many other individuals in her youth. Despite this chaotic interior, however, she has repressed and internalized much of her pain, using it as fuel for self-improvement, which ends up being nowhere near as effective as it could be due to her internal guilt. These feelings are incredibly difficult to discern from her and she is more likely to outright deny them than to share them with anyone outside of her blood-related family. The most anyone would notice is a regretful look in her eyes when she fails or her occasional nights of alcoholic over-indulgence.
The trauma that has been inflicted on her has manifested in both her professional career as an assassin and supercommando as well as in her personal life. Aedria is exceptionally chaste for a woman with her looks and she undeniably excels more as a lone wolf style fighter than in a group. Not to say she is incapable of leading or cooperating but she is much more lethal and effective when she doesn't have comrades to defend. Likewise, in her civilian life she has few close friends and more acquaintances than anything else. She is constantly on the move, constantly taking new jobs and missions and seemingly avoids relationships as repentance for her flirtatious and pleasure-seeking lifestyle as a youth. Affection from her is usually shown through proud looks in sparring practice or small congratulations for achievements.
Hobby-wise, Aedria adopted weapon and armor tinkering during her training as a teenager on Dxun. She is adept at it and often spends her time improving her equipment and testing different calibrations for her weapons. Her upbringing on the Epicanthix homeworld of Panatha also instilled an appreciation for art, music, and beauty. She privately paints in what little spare time she has, capturing the views of her many excursions across the galaxy, although she doesn't tend to talk about this hobby much. Evidence of it can be found in her armor, however. Finally, Aedria's vice due to her internal pain is in the consumption of alcohol and other recreational substances. Normally she is a quiet and polite drunk who tends not to intrude on others and is quite happy in an isolated part of a bar or in the confines of her home on Dxun. On the rare occasion, though, she can become very clearly flirtatious, a callback to her more carnal, youthful tendencies. When in this state she can become quite charismatic and much more talkative than normal which can be quite a shock to those who are more familiar with her more reserved nature. In the wake of such days and nights, Aedria has shown a knack for picking up all manner of different "companions" to spend her nights with, although the affection she shows never goes beyond anything but physical pleasure, a sign of her subconscious desire to distance herself from companionship.

Overall History •
The life of Aedria Varak-Vizsla began on the Epicanthix homeworld of Panatha within the heart of Clan Varak's jungle territory. As one of the twins of the greatly respected Chieftain Kaekella and the mysterious offworld warrior, Ghalor Vizsla, Aedria's life began with prosperity that few in the galaxy may lay claim to. This prosperity was bestowed upon both her and her twin brother, Dormin, although she would quickly lay claim to the lion's share of her heritage. The young "princess" of the vast and powerful Clan Varak grew up in an adolescence filled with praise and doting fit for none but the most prodigious of children. She was a shining example of her clan's and mother's values: Strong, nimble, beautiful, and dangerously intelligent. From the moment she could speak she was the recipient of countless compliments among her peers and elders. The young girl excelled in all manner of subjects from athletics and combat training in a multitude of different fighting styles to problem solving and art. Aedria was placed on a metaphorical pedestal as the next great leader of her clan and the expectations of all who praised her quickly made their impression on her developing mind and personality.
From a young age, Aedria always held a personal rivalry with her mother, the wise and unrelenting chief of the Varak Clan. Kaekella acted as a dissenter in the midst of the overwhelming praise and support that her daughter quickly began to receive as she grew. For every success the young Aedria accomplished, Kaekella was an ever-present reminder of her young daughter's imperfection, noting on critical improvements to be made and never showing satisfaction with Aedria's success unless it truly exceeded her expectations. While her efforts were made to temper Aedria's quickly bloating ego and pride, an unintended side-effect was the brittle, combative relationship she would soon develop with her daughter. On the other hand, the mysterious, dry, and stoic Mandalorian warrior known as Ghalor Vizsla was the much preferred parent of Aedria as his hand's off approach to raising her and his subtle congratulations for her early success made him much more approachable and comforting to the developing elder twin. The bond she held with her father was unmatched by anyone and he became the heavens of her desires, romanticizing and being awe-struck at the stories and lessons of her father's infamous kin.
In spite of both her parents' best efforts, however, Aedria's successes continued to pile on and with them, so to did her ego, pride, and selfishness. She became conceited and arrogant in her youth, overshadowing and upstaging her twin brother, playing with the emotions of her peers and competitors, and finally, disregarding any form of compliance and politeness to her seniors. While her talent and ability were widely known by the time she was ten years old, the aloof young girl came to receive a reputation within her clan as being problematic, arrogant, and egotistical. While strangers who met her were almost always amazed by her natural talents, gaining familiarity with her led to those feelings being replaced with disdain. Despite that, though, as Aedria matured through her adolescence and through puberty she continued to fall into her negative personality traits, dismissing the criticisms of others, pursuing shallow and toxic relationships, and becoming far more combative with her family.
Her behavior led to an explosive head when, on her thirteenth birthday, she demanded to be included with her mother in land negotiations involving another Epicanthix tribe. When she was denied, her anger got the better of her and she proceeded to make a mockery of her mother's leadership by criticizing and mocking her in front of the chieftain's most senior advisors. The shame she brought to her mother was to be repaid with a harsh punishment: the loss of her claim to the clan's title of Chieftain. Her sentence sent shock waves through the clan and cast Aedria into a dark depression as her now younger twin gained favor as the future leader she was intended to be. As the months following the punishment continued, the strain on Aedria and her family continued to grow until her father, Ghalor, suggested an alternative to her endless shame on her homeworld. With the blessing of Kaekella, Ghalor took his daughter at the traditional age of maturity for his people, the Mando'a, off-world and into the depths of space. The thirteen year-old girl was immediately enamored with the thrill of exploring and spending an extended amount of time with her usually reserved father.
The first stop on their journey was to Ghalor's homeworld, the deadly and dangerous jungle-moon, Dxun, within Mandalorian territory. While Aedria was excited to experience the culture and camaraderie of her father's people, whom she had grown up hearing stories of from her father, the truth was told to her upon landing that Mandalorians, while similar to the Epicanthix in many regards, they place an extreme important on the following of a code of honor, one that Aedria has never had enforced on her. Ghalor's intent was clear. Aedria would not leave Dxun without changing the inherent flaws within herself. So followed four and a half years of some of the most brutal, thankless, and demeaning training that Ghalor could put her through, all in isolation so as to separate her from pride and praise. It was during this time that Aedria, in the little free time she was afforded, began experimenting more seriously with weaponry and armor. She had acquired a keen interest in her father's native weapons and equipment that gave her another avenue of focus beyond training and surviving.
Ghalor's extreme training was not without results and by the time Aedria turned seventeen she had been molded into a far more mature individual in line with her father's behavior. Although she still had a knack for occasional over-confidence and brashness she was successfully weened off of her toxic tendencies as she displayed far greater respect for others once she was introduced to a few of Ghalor's Mandalorian brethren. With a newly instilled appreciation for the Mando'a culture and the importance of bonds, Aedria and her father set out from Dxun to return to the Varak Clan on Panatha. Their long absence would surely be appreciated once Aedria could show how changed she had become and the pride her father had in her for overcoming her flaws. Sadly, that appreciation would never be felt by Aedria in the years to come.
Unbeknownst to the pair, their arrival and stay on Dxun was not unnoticed by Ghalor's old enemies in the galactic underworld and prior to their departure they were confronted by a group of mercenaries from off world, seeking a a massive twenty year-old bounty on Ghalor Vizsla's head on the night of his daughter's eighteenth birthday. Despite Aedria's and Ghalor's teamwork and exceptional combat prowess the half dozen mercenaries were able to mortally wound Ghalor before being dispatched. Aedria could only clutch her dying father in tears and isolation as he succumbed to his wounds, all while he offered nothing but praise and love to his daughter despite the risk he took when he left Panatha.
Aedria was a shell following her father's death. She took what little time she had to grieve before setting off back to her homeworld with his body, dreading the response she would get from her family and clan mates. Her arrival was met with scarcely hidden distrust and a sort of discomfort once she reunited with her mother and brother. They were shaken by the news of Ghalor's death, although Kaekella admitted to knowing the risk of her husband and partner leaving the planet. This revelation, rather than anger Aedria, spun her into despair as she felt her mistakes that lead him to suggest leaving were responsible for his death. Despite Kaekella's softened treatment towards her daughter and her reassuring that his death was not on her hands, Aedria became noticeably reserved and downtrodden. The day after Ghalor's ceremonial cremation and ash spreading, Aedria's mental fortitude was tested further when her brother announced to herself and their mother that he would be leaving Panatha to pursue his own goals in life, unbound by his Mandalorian and Epicanthix heritage. Once again, Aedria blamed herself for her brother's departure and a desire for redemption overtook her as she gave her apologies to her mother, took her father's possessions including his weapons, his armor, and his war droid before setting back out for the Mandalorian homeworld, Mandalore.
Arriving on Mandalore, Aedria set out to establish herself within the larger Mandalorian populations by acting as a border guard while she patrolled the major starways into Mandalorian space as well as occasionally taking off-world jobs including assassinations and bounties on wanted criminal underworld agents and other notable lowlifes. Her career picked up steam to gain a respectable level of notoriety within the criminal underworld of the Outer Rim alongside some respect as a warrior and, later, as a trainer, teacher, and combat instructor on Mandalore. Over the years, her teaching philosophy was to instill a drive for greatness and a unyielding desire to learn in the Mandalorian youths she came across, basing her goal on the shortcomings of her past. That philosophy along with her willingness to help in times of emergency or danger made her a trusted warrior amongst the few Vizsla Clan members she had become acquainted with, as well as with non-Vizsla Clan warriors. As the years went by she remained relatively isolated beyond the scope of her training and hunting career and eventually she took up residence on Dxun where she spent extended periods of time attempting to grow, mature, and change herself to fit her new role in her father's culture while acting as an instructor. It wasn't glamorous nor glorious but it was satisfying work all the same. To have some small part in the continuation of a people she admired almost without match was more than what she felt she deserved. Little did she know that the focus of the galaxy would soon come to Mandalore and now, she finds herself on the precipice of a new age in Mandalorian history... one she could help shape in the hopes of finding redemption.
