His above average size has assisted him greatly in his life as a mercenary, bounty hunter and devotee of the Mando'ade culture. Outside of the physical pros his size offers, Tork tends to have a natural commanding presence about him that inspires awe from his comrades and subordinates. Bred from birth physically and mentally to be Mandalorian, his size all but support any claim to badassery. The few who have seen Tork without his helmet would say that he is a rather handsome in that stoic soldier way. Short, cropped brown hair with a beard to match. Green eyes the color of emeralds which are not displayed nearly enough if his mother had her say. Square jaw and a proud bearing all give him the look of someone meant to be on posters for being some type of war hero. But that isn't his way. And so this is all hidden the majority of the time behind his helmet. Closed off to all but his family, closest companions and clan mates. Personality Profile Tork Bralor was not adopted into the Mando'ade lifestyle. He was born and bred into it. Raised in the absolute certainty that he was Mandalorian and no one or nothing could take that away from him. Proud, concise, smart and sometimes reckless with a hint of sarcastic humor. He is the best values from either of his parents while still developing his own flaws to balance out the scale. Having been the son of a Chieftain, it was never written in stone that he would succeed his father. That was not the Mandalorian way and so his father knew that he would need to breed his successor. As soon as Tork could walk he was taught all the qualities, physical or mental, of what it took to be a Mandalorian. Especially of what it meant to be Mandalorian. It was not about race, creed or ones past. It was about a unified culture and the actions and merits of that individual person. And this all spoke to Tork and he wholeheartedly accepted the lifestyle, knowing no better. His adventurous side eventually caught up with him and he set off to make a name for himself outside of Mando space. Needing to create something of himself when faced by the myriad of different things the galaxy could throw out him. His parents shaped him to be the best warrior he could be and he needed to test that against everything he was not familiar with. His stoic, quiet and often rigid personality eventually morphed into his current day sarcastic, reckless and sometimes outspoken manner. He kept his clans traditions and teachings but slapped a piece of every place and person he met into himself. Bounty hunting was not only good for credits but also gaining experience and insight into other cultures and ways of doing things. Now that he has returned to his clans ancestral home and taken over as the new Chieftain, Tork is finding his skills as a leader tested. Competent as a warrior but faced with the challenge of leading others into battle, he is finding a whole new outlook in life. Though he still retains his sense of adventure he is finding leading a clan to be no small task. And he needs to meet new expectations while trying not to feel burdened by his new position. A balance he has yet to master. Background Father • Vang Bralor, 59, Chieftain (Dead) Mother • Cere Bralor, 51, Engineer Siblings • Elia Bralor, 30, Bounty Hunter Other Important Connections • Arx Bralor, 44, Mentor Overall History • -Childhood- Tork was born in the year of 3626, at his families traditional home of Norg Bral on their peoples homeworld; Mandalore. The town was already seeing its first efforts to modernize and become a trade hub for the Clan as well as the Chieftains attempts at improving its defenses. The Mando'ade were starting to rustle their feathers once more and planned to once again spread off their homeworld in conquest. or at least, that was some of the rumbling from such leaders as Torks father. His father spent decades improving the Clans lot and building up for what he planned to be their emergence into the greater galactic neighborhood. But all this was not on young Torks mind. Being born into the culture rather than adopted like most, Tork grew up with a strong sense of tradition of what it was to be Mandalorian. His people were strong, proud and independent warriors with a sense of honor. His father never let him forget that ever since the day he could walk. Which is also the around the time his training began. Growing up the son of the Clans Chieftain had its perks. Tork was surrounded by veteran warriors of all caliber and he learned as much as he could from all of them. How to fight with every weapon he could, including his hands. His father taught him how Clans worked, their ancestry and what it takes to be a good leader. His mother taught him the proud traditions of their clan and people and how to always strive to better one self for a person could never be complete. All of this was ingrained into him early, so that by the time he left home for his own path in life, he was prepared to face any adversity the galaxy could throw at him. And considering the state of things, there would be a lot of challenges. Growing up on a world like Mandalore with its tough society was a blessing in disguise. It taught its inhabitants to be stout and hardy. Taught them how to face and overcome challenges in life no matter their origin. Tork spent these early years mostly at Norg Bral, watching it become a regional hot spot for trade, mercenary work and culture. Though it could never rival Keldabe they sure could try and mimic the cities success. To Torks mother, personal prowess wasn't the only way for the clan to be strong. She was the main advocate to bringing in trade and new peoples to better their prospects. It was her ideas that led to the founding of Bralor Constructs. The company that would eventually bankroll most of the Clans forays and operations and ensured they had stability when war wasn't always the answer. Tork learned as much from his mother as he did from his father. And he learned to find the balance between their two ideologies. How important it was to keep their martial tradition so that their people remained strong no matter what enemies came. But to also temper that bloodlust with strong convictions and a stable home to provide for his people. -Young Adulthood- By the time he turned 18, Tork was already a competent warrior. His father assigned him a mentor by the name of Arx. The man was one of the Clans most accomplished warriors and a known Bounty Hunter. He would hire both Tork and his sister Elia on as somewhat of apprentices and teach them all he could. While their parents provided them the foundation for what they were to become, Arx took them out and showed them the world. How to survive on hostile planets, do business, track and capture their targets and who was who within the galaxy. Tork absorbed it all. He liked the Bounty Hunter lifestyle. It just felt right. Traveling from system to system and doing work for whatever faction, criminal or otherwise, required them. Security work, track and bag, track and kill, even sabotage and recon. Their skill sets grew as did their knowledge of other cultures and peoples and how to interact with them. It was important they learned about other species and who ran what. Tork learned to become bilingual and study other languages. Tork and Elia learned the importance of modifying their armor and weapons. Using their credits from contracts to upgrade their gear and ship to better assist them in their careers. It all was important and they loved every bit of it. Six years went by as they traveled the fringes of the galaxy. Working for all sorts of people and learning all sorts of things. Arx had become something of an uncle to them and he looked on them just as fondly. The trio had become rather successful together and made quite the amount of creds while also establishing their names. Not only were they individually great bounty hunters but they also helped establish Clan Bralor to the wider galaxy. Efficient, brave, honorable though morally dubious and above all; they always got the job done. They never once went back on their word or failed a contract. They only accepted the one's they knew they could complete or else their Clan would suffer. Tork knew, even from an early age, that being a Mandalorian meant not only establishing your values but representing that of your Clans as well. To fail or resend your word hurt every member to bear the Clans crest. So they ensured whatever they did they put all they had into it, simple task or not. Being seen as dishonorable was something Clan Bralor would not have. It's reputation was one of proud, honorable and brave. Though at times stubborn and blind to political maneuvering it simply wasn't their forte. Backhanded dealings behind closed doors was not how they operated. Their Clan was open and relied on the opinions of its warriors no matter their status. They protected their vassal houses just as they would their own kin. But this would change at the start of galactic war once more. -The Tide- Tork, his sister Elia and Arx had heard the call. The call to war. Clan Bralor was supporting the Mand'alore in reclaiming lost worlds and reestablishing Mandalorian space. The Sith and Republic were back at eachs others throats and the Mando'ade were capitalizing on the chaos enveloping the galaxy. Their father rallied the aliit and set out under the Mand'alore to reclaim their glory. Tork used all the skills he had learned throughout life and put them to use. This was no longer a simple contract shootout, this was war. And he contributed in every action the Mandalorians took. From Shogun to Onderon he fought to expand the Mando'ade borders and uplift their civilization once more. He didn't find it difficult to adapt to warfare, all Mando'ade shouldn't. It was what he was taught to do and trained everyday in expectation of conflict. The only difference was the scale of the fighting. Seeing the Mandalorian fleet with so many different Clan colors and warriors of all origin pouring onto worlds and reclaiming them in a haze of blaster fire for the good of all Mando'ade. It was exhilarating and a great time to be a Mandalorian. Their Empire was reaching out and taking planets one by one as they introduced their culture to their new conquest. Mando ships were being pumped at and providing defense and protection to their new borders and a fresh stream of new warriors was constant. Tork spent all of his mid to late twenties conquering places in the name of Mandalore. His father being a stout supporter of Mandalore the Regulator and one of his top commanders. They were always in the field and doing operations all across Mandalorian space. It was during this time that Clan Bralor started erecting bases of operation across many worlds, one of which was Velmor. Torks father, Vang, was the one who led the assault on the world and subdued the royal family and their forces. At first things were tense and ready to break away what little peace they had established. But eventually, over time and years of effort, they came to accept Clan Bralor and the Mandalorian presence in general. Velmor was able to supply things like food, water and other necessities while Clan Bralor provided them with security and base materials for construction and weapons. Bralor Constructs established a field office in Velmors capital city and aided in their civil works while the nature between their agreement only grew stronger, becoming a stronghold for the Clan. The dangerous jungles of Dxun also proved to be an attraction as they established an outpost there for the training of new clan warriors. Though the hostile population of Onderon was always a reminder to remain wary of not only the fauna and wildlife. The planet Ordo become home to a Clan Bralor base as well as they traded materials for ships to use in further Clan security and to answer the Mand'alores call for warriors. Tork learned much of leadership during these times as being put in command of fellow clan warriors taught him many ways to do things tactically and how best to play warriors to their strengths. Leading men into war was never easy, though he did come to enjoy the challenge. -Present- Now, in the current year of 3590, Clan Bralor is as strong as its ever been in recent years. Decades of preparation and establishing their presence has led to them being one of the most prominent clans on Mandalore. Though they remain neutral in the current campaign of the claimants, the new Chieftain has eyes to eventually choose a side. Tork took mantle of Aliit'alor of Clan Bralor after his fathers recent death. Tork was away on Mandalore when news reached him of the destruction of the Par'jila and the assumed deaths of both his father and Mandalore the Regulator. Though these are unsteady times, Tork remains steadfast in his beliefs and in the comfort that his Clan is strong and ready for what comes next. Though traditionally, Clan leadership is not passed between blood relations, Tork was chosen for his skill, leadership and being the very embodiment of Clan values and traditions. Now, with his warriors behind him he seeks alliances to further secure the Clans position and looks forward to choosing a claimant to aide in restoring leadership back to the Mandalorian Empire. For if they do not, they will lose all they spent years working toward. And he would not let that bloodshed be for nothing. He had watched too many warriors die to simply back down now. Vode An. |
