There is splashes of white and red through his head and body. Vese is athletic and strong, with powerful muscles under his feathered, scaled skin. His eyes are a cool orange color, intelligent and curious and searching every face he talks to. On the left side of his beak, going into his coarse skin is a long scratch and scar from a blaster bolt that went by too close for comfort when he had no helmet on. He is rarely out of his Beskar'gam, and as he is making a claim for the title of Mandalore, it has been repainted to a snowy white color with stripes and a red trim. Vese takes time to care for his equipment, and likes to keep it clean. It has a black line on the side that matches his facial scar. Personality Profile Vezze is cool, calm, and collected under pressure. He isn't one to let such things as honor completely overrule his life, and believes in the philosophy that honor has no use to the dead. He wasn't born into the Mandalorians, but is one of them, through and through. Him seeing battle after battle, and war after war, left him wanting to see more than the destructive nature of his people, and see them become the true dominant power in the galaxy Due to his species long life, Vese has great patience, and would rather back away from a losing fight rather than throw lives needlessly in a losing battle. The dead cant fight, so if one was to live to see another day, then that is true victory. Vese is patient in his quest, willing to wait hundreds of years for one little goal in his life. Much of the time, Vese seems distant and disconnected, not readily making solid connections with most people. In truth, he does this so he doesn't need to feel the loss that would be caused by their death, be it natural or through war. This doesn't extend to his clan, however, as they are all his family. This is why he wishes to see his people live as long as possible. Background Father • Jes La. Deceased Mother • Pri La. Deceased. His parents were basically pirates and were in a battle over the planet. Once planetside, the pod was found, only with the Infant, which was founded by the then clan leader of Clan Vizla, a human named Jace. Vese's birth mother was dead on the scene, reasons still unknown to Vese. Jace took the infant Vese to his house and husband, Mark, and together, the two raised the child, and he had to be raised by their adopted children in turn as before he was a teenager, as both Jace and Mark were too old to give proper training that involved hard physical effort. Even at this rate, Vese was closing in on 50 before he was old enough to be considered an Adult in the Mandalorian tradition. Even so, for a Talortai, he was fairly young still. Vese knew that he would outlive everyone he knew, and that even at such a young age that he was, and was already looking at things as he was simply an observer to the greater galaxy. Much of his younger life, age 50 though 75, Vese was known to be more of a scholar rather than a warrior, going through all sorts of ancient history of the Mandalorians and the galaxy and ancient wars and battles, both space and ground alike. His young mind sucked down and held the knowledge almost as if it was an encyclopedia. Soon enough he was a more senior member of Clan Vizla, with much of his currently adult life dedicated to study. He had no aspirations to be a clan leader yet, simply wanting to observe how these people ruled and their style. He kept close to the Clan Leader, and those after, as well as studying other leaders and Mandalore's. Soon enough, when he was generations old, a Mandalore, soon to be known as Mandalore the Betrayer attacked the Republic, and lost horribly. Quickly after, the Arasuum Treaty was signed, and the clans were shattered. Vese wasn't active during his crusade, staying back home with his venerable parents. Two of his siblings instead decided to fight, losing their lives for the cause. Vese chose to take the next 40 years to wander the galaxy as a mercenary, using this time to build up a vast amount of combat skills as well as studying tactics of the motley bunch of people he generally had to work with. The most exciting was they had to attack a prison ship with the intention of breaking someone out, a fellow Mandalorian. They were being sent to a high security facility at this time. The attack was swift, two sets of gunships taking out weapons on one side of the ship then landing and fighting their way through the few Republic soldiers that stood in their way. He was shot a few times but his Beskar'man took all the force of the bolts. His fellow mercs were less well off, with them loosing three men before the Mandalorian Prisoner was freed. They managed to make their way out and off to safety before the Republic could send in reinforcements. It was also during this mission where he got his facial scar. It was this mission that Vese decided it was his last in this manner. The mission was poorly planned, Vese decided, as they had days to plan the breakout. Moving his study to battlefield study, Vese moved back towards Old Mandalorian Space. He felt more comfortable here, and with access to the Net, he was able to still resume his studies. In the years leading up to 3602bby, There was quiet activity in the Galaxy. The Mandalorians rose, getting back a single War Droid, and taking back a number of their old planets such as Mandalore. Vese once again was out of the spotlight, working as a guard on Nar Shaddaa and was aware of the news when the rest of the galaxy learned about it. Vese was one of the first Mandalorians back on the reclaimed planet, being only a few dozen light years away when the conflict was over. From there, he reestablished himself as a prominent member of Clan Vizla, a more advisory roll compared to many others in his clan. This was his comfort zone and he was satisfied with staying out of the spotlight. By 3600bby, there had been a number of different Mandalores, most being killed off by being, in Vese's eyes, reckless and unsafe. The fallowing war as Mandalore the Reclaimer took the crown was overly aggressive, especially with their allies being the Sith, also newly established in their old ways. The previous treaty was completely cast away and they were on a new mission to reclaim their old territory. Vese couldn't help but study how he worked and compared it to the previous Mandalores. Nearly 5 years of war and they were no longer full allies with the Sith, having attained enough power for themselves. Clan Vizla was active but Vese himself stayed away on Mandalore, rarely venturing out onto the front unless he was ordered to. Instead the man took up his time as a scholar, studying the tactics of the other factions. He studied continuously in how to block any of their attacks and route opposing forces. In 3956, Mandalore the Reclaimer was assassinated in her sleep, and a new one, Mandalore the Regulator took power for himself, keeping the clans United in the time of mourning, and they continued in their march through the galaxy. Vese mourned, saddened by the death of their leader, and like the rest of his clan, pledged his support to Mandalore the Regulator. However, as he wasn't the clan leader, he was not directly called upon for any reason by him, going only through his clan leader for any matters that were important. Vese, though he was an adept fighter, felt better using his hundred and fifty years of life and knowledge directing battles, but not once did he try to become the head of the Clan, preferring to stay in the background and let those who didn't live as long as him have their time to shine. Under his guidance, battles fought with him involved, mostly those consisting primarily of Clan Vizla, were victories, and those that were not had minimal losses as Vese chose to pull his men out. In the battles he grew into the nickname Shield of the Mandalorians, as his strategy acted like a shield in keeping many Mandalorians alive. Many didn't care for his strategy in pulling people out when victory could still possibly be won, but the way Vese saw it is that even if they may win, the loss in warriors would be too great to be a standing victory and they could be routed, where if they pulled back and regrouped, they could strike in a more efficient way and bring greater victory and honor in the end, as well as save more lives. However, as he was just one small piece in the in the war, they were still beat back until they eventually would have lost the war due to them being much to aggressive with their reaching out for more and more. At least that the line that Vese drew forward. Mandalore proved a good leader, and brought peace, or rather relative peace, to the war in 3594bby. A new treaty was created that brought them into a new age for them. The Pact of Kad Ha’rangir was what led them to this new golden age. In a few years beyond the Pact, something known as the Archeri attacked the galaxy, taking the full force of the Republic and Sith Empire while Vese and many other Mandalorians were invading Sleyheron, aiding in the slave rebellion there. He, once again, played a background role in his clan, but their then clan leader was killed, leaving Vese as the oldest and most senior member. He didn't fancy himself a direct leader , still being an advisor and director, recommending how his clans forces should be placed. The leadership had yet to be fulfilled by the next major event. Mandalore's ship was subjected to an explosion and he was one of the expected fatalities. Terrorists were found in Mandalorian armor, and Vese was sad that he wasn't around to bring his own justice. Instead he was in the talks with the rest of his clan's leadership. Finally, he decided to take a major step in his life, as he was fed up with seeing how the Mandalorians were constantly being handled in the recent years. A change needed to happen, and Vese believed himself to bring it to his clan and all of the Mandalorians. He felt he needed to skip being a clan leader and become Mandalore, the leader of his entire people and culture, and shape it how he thought was best. |
