Triumph Burns The Par’Jila — the flagship and pride of the Mandalorian fleet — has been destroyed. Mandalore the Regulator is missing, presumed dead, and otherwise unable to lead his stunned people through this catastrophe’s aftermath. With his disappearance, a new Mandalore must rise to take leadership over the clans, but there is no clear heir apparent to the position. Several contenders — from clans Deshra, Fett, Kelborn, and Vizla — have made their claims to the role. The remaining clans are as of yet undecided on who to support and so it will fall to these claimants to make their case, whether by guile, by force of arms -- or any means necessary. Victory Conditions A claimant must amass at least 40% of the total available clan support to be declared Mandalore. If all support has been claimed and all major event plot points have been covered, the claimants will be presented with the option of participating in moderated duels to settle any close ties. Failing to rally at least 67% of the total available clan support will have negative repercussions for the Mandalorian faction moving forward. Failing to declare a new Mandalore will have negative repercussions for the Mandalorian faction moving forward. Rounds A round is 1 month of real time. While the Dark Age of Honor event has no hard end date, its conclusion will be pushed along when greater Galactic events call for it. Each Claimant may have up to 2 Alliance Missions running at any given time, though they may only begin 1 per round. Threads may continue as long as needed. At the beginning of each round, a mix of 8 recruitable factions and Mandalorian clans will be randomly drawn. Their Alliance Missions will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Alliance Missions Each mission has 1 primary objective and up to 2 side objectives. Primary Objectives are indicated in the mission prompt, while Side Objectives are statements of intent provided by the Claimant when they sign up for the thread. Each objective will require a dice roll from the Claimant, otherwise called a Challenge. The Primary Objective's pool will always be related to the boon listed in the prompt. Expenditures of Conquest Points, the participation of other players, or boons granted by recruited factions may alter the difficulty and pools of your Challenges! Consider Side Objectives an opportunity to flex your Claimant's skills! Find creative uses for your best Attributes and Disciplines. Participation & Moderation Due to the nature of Alliance Missions, character sheets and Discord access are required for all participants. Each Alliance Mission requires, at minimum, the participation of 1 Claimant & 1 Moderator or Admin. Other players may join at the Claimant’s request. A Helpful character may assist (+2 dice) on challenge rolls if they themselves possess an Attribute + Discipline total of 6 or greater in the challenge’s relevant statistic. An Adversarial character may oppose the Claimant by declaring their intended action to the staff moderator and rolling an appropriate dice pool. What Are Conquest Points? Conquest points abstractly represent a Claimant’s resources, momentum, and morale. They are spent on undertaking Alliance Missions, unlocking valuable side objectives, and boosting the Claimant's chances of overcoming challenges within these Missions. Other uses may be made available during the later stages of the event. Earning & Spending Conquest Points Mission Cost = Base 3, Side Objectives 1 each Additionally, a Claimant may take extra care to prepare for each challenge, spending 1 extra Conquest Point per +2 dice to his pool for that particular challenge. The Claimant may spend up to 3 additional Conquest Points in this manner per Mission. Conquest Rewards are tallied once the Claimant and Moderator both agree the thread is complete. Completing a Primary Objective awards 6 Conquest. Completing a Secondary Objective awards 3 Conquest. Uncompleted Objectives reward 0 Conquest. Failure to complete the Primary Objective results in that Claimant failing to obtain the alliance they were seeking. They may try again for no cost in the next round by forgoing all side objectives – this option becomes unavailable if that Faction is drawn again and another Claimant chooses to pursue their mission. Additionally, the Moderator may grant up to 6 bonus Conquest due to added challenge presented by undertaking a mission with Adversarial characters. Mandalore the Conqueror

A capable and ruthless commander in the field, Cyrus' whole life has been spent in the thick of the fighting wherever he could find it. He has actively sought out bloody conflict to bring the spoils of battle to his people. A fierce and fiery radical expansionist, he most often preaches to young Mandalorians of the Crusader ways of old, and the glory that was had. It is his belief that where previous Mandalores had failed, this generation has the right temperament and mettle to win the galaxy for the Mando'a.

Cyrus is a firebrand true believer in the old ways. He doesn't believe that the Mandalorian Wars were a failure, he believes they've never ended. His people have merely fallen back for the time being. The Sith suit his aims as allies better than the Republic, as he harbors old hatreds for the Jedi, but all things are a means to an end. That would fall away in time, when the Empire inevitably overextended itself. His foreign policy is simple: if a planet can be seized, take it and hold it. Be aggressive, and grab any opportunity that presents itself. If they fail the test, so be it. Death and glory await.

Genthus has little regard for Mandalorian traditions. As a result, he very much applies his own sense of honor to what the Mando'a as a culture should and shouldn't be doing. Old rivalries and friendships need to die; ties to the Empire need to be terminated with prejudice while negotiations with the Republic must not only open them up to the idea of the Mando’a culture, but indeed reach an understanding on how the democracy and the clans can co-exist. Worlds conquered by the Mandalorians must be returned, and further conquests must be prevented; they were taken in greed as undue spoils of war, and nothing will undo that.

In short, Genthus insists that Mandalorian culture has become too obsessed with the crusades of old. If the culture is to survive, it must worry less about borders and conquest, and more about picking the right battles and inclusion. The Mandalorian state is secondary at best and non-essential at worst; it is the reputation of the Mando’a that must persevere. No one will ever join a clan again if they come across as power-hungry, desperate, or worst of all, no better than the emperors and senators that dominate the galaxy.

Hal is a traditionalist, but one who recognizes the opportunities presented by progressive and forward-thinking. He believes a tactical retreat is far better than a defeat, and would rather see his people grow and nurture on the safety of their homeworlds until such a time that the Clans can be united against common enemies once more. Theirs is a fury not often seen, and Hal would be remiss if he'd let the vengeance of the Mando'ade wither and die uselessly like an unattended flame.

Hal believes, as many natural-born Mandalorians do, that strength and endurance in the face of hardship is paramount to a warrior's success. Their people were never diplomats; whatever debt they once had to the Empire is paid, and their budding war with the Republic will not involve them in any way. He would see them become not raiders and conquerors, but honorable and wise enough leaders to show that their valor is worthy of setting an example to be followed by others. He would see them expand not out of sheer desire, but because, in his mind, it would be for the betterment of their portion of the Galaxy.
