Thanks to intervention from the Moment, Gallfrey was saved while keeping the timelines preserved thanks to the cleverness of a certain Doctor.. The Time Lords have returned from their pocket universe, bringing order back to the world of time and dimensional travel. The gaps between worlds are open once again, monitored by the people of Gallifrey. However even with the Time Lords returning to a time of peace, there are always enemies out there and some of their enemies are within.
Meanwhile on Earth, Torchwood is thriving within its four bases. Torchwood London has set up again and Torchwood Dublin has finally been in touch with the others. They are continuing to expand their organization while still liasing with UNIT who are also keeping a watchful eye on the stars. Trouble can come from anywhere after all.
The Doctor is still travelling around, seeking adventure and stepping in to save the day where he is needed. The people who have stayed behind are now rebuilding their lives on Earth, all striving to make it a better place.
We are set within Season 4 of Doctor Who, just after the episode 'Midnight' and just after Torchwood episode 'Adam'.
