Hello,
I have a simple question that spired from an idea that I suddenly got.
One:
What faction is a Gray jedi considered to be? Mira said that they were neutral, but if that is the case, wouldn't it make more sence to have them sanctioned in military, or fringe, maybe even dark jedi, instead of jedi?
Two:
Does a gray jedi count as a jedi/darkjedi character, seeing as you are only allowed one jedi character and one dark jedi character?
Three:
Is it possible to create a gray jedi, who now functions as either a military, a fringe or a civil character?
Four - this is more of a note than an actual question:
Gray jedi are not allowed to keep their lightsabers, and there is no way that they could, unless they:
A: Hand in another lightsaber upon resignition, fx a modified trainings saber,
B: if they shortly before their resignition repport their lightsaber lost/destroyed,
C: If they never do resign (and just doesn't show up anymore), or atleast not face to face. I suppose the jedi council could be reached by comlink...
D: If believed dead.
as far as I can tell, these are the only reasons a gray jedi would be allowed to keep his intitial lightsaber... Good luck stealing it back... Sure they gonna let you keep it if you make pup eyes...
I mean, even if the GJ said that he didn't bring it with him, I believe that they would detain him untill he would reveal the location of his hidden saber.
The reason for this comment is that the most reason gray jedi character I read about wanted to keep his initial lightsaber. Ofcourse, this is not meant as a personal attack on that person as he obviously was not aware. However, it seemed that Mira who was sanctioning his character, also was not aware, and if the mods don't know about this, then fat chance this rule will count, no offence meant to Mira either, we'r all human here and i might just be wrong, which leads me to my final point:
Is this a rule that the council still enforces? After the near-destruction of the jedi order I mean.
Five - This is the actual idea that my 4 questions spired from, I'd like some comments, on possible complications:
While I am interested in clarification on this subject, what I really wan't to know is if it is allowed to create an ex-jedi who left the order willingly and now opperates as a bounty hunter. The twist of the character is that he has nearly fallen from the light, and now doubts the councils judgement. He believes that if you wish to rid the galaxy of evil, you need to start with the criminals. The reason for this is that, after hunring a very powerful crimelord for several years with his master, he alone dealt a powerfull blow to this crimelord while his master was elsewhere (first mission alone). This resulted in the council seeing him fit for knighthood, and on the very day he was promoted, his master was killed by an assasain, hired by this crimelord. He then hunted the crimelord on his own, using the order as resource. On his way to his goal, he violated the code several times, and so on and eventually he gets his man and tears him apart, and then leaves the order, spitting on the floor of the council chambers as they ask him to consider re-evaluation.
