(OOC:Sorry about that, Well I am just going to make this post in such a manner that we are about to land in our designated location)
Jace had spent most his trip just sitting and meditating. He had worked out multiple approaches to various scenarios should they occur once they landed. He ran into even more troublesome aspects during these meditation periods. As they neared that vile planet, his thoughts began to become clouded, and it became harder to focus.
The Dark side, its power is quite overwhelming, so much wrong with it yet it grants so much power Shaking his head at the thought.
Jace walked to the cockpit and found Jeh'rad sitting and almost as if waiting for him to arrive.
"Jeh'rad, I sense that we are almost at our designated location. I leave it up to you to decide how we make our approach and where we land. Inform the others of our approach to Korriban, I shall be in the briefing room if you need me."
With that, Jace nodded, turned around walked off towards the briefing room.
So it begins....

Jeh'rad sighed. He hated taking orders. He didn't complain though as he walked to the comm-system. It was Jace's expidition afterall, and being crazy enough to take a position in the high-council would make him entitled to feel he was in charge once in a while... Jeh'rad looked uo for a second, as he tried to convince himself that Jace WAS in charge... "This is your captain speaking. Gear up, we'r landing in a few... Don't leave your crap on my ship, we might not be leaving in this vessel. " The council was in charge... He tried to convince himself again. No, he simply didn't believe in it anymore. But the council was wise, and Jace seemed like a decend guy. Jeh'rad finally got the loadouts, as they came out of hyperspace Dreshdae was not exactly a city. It was more like an outpost. It was now located next to the ruins of the original settlement, further away from the valley. He could sence them down there. The Dark Jedi were living here... The very planet attracted them like a flashlight in the dark attracts bugs. There was a small anti-aircraft turret down there, but it didn't seem active. It pretty much seemed like people came and wen't like they cared to... Better not flash lightsabers, or jedi garbs while there though... "This is your captain speaking... All VIP passengers, meet me in the situation room... I have an update on our situation" Jeh'rad remained calm as he spoke, and headed for the situation room.
Once everyone had gathered, Jeh'rad spoke. "It seems that Dreshdae is still opperational as an outpost, and too well defended for us. No sign of Sith troopers, but I sence Dark Jedi..." Jeh'rad frowns. " And I think there must be about, a hundred mercs down there..." Jeh'rad pauses briefly allowing people to do the math. "The good news is, that the actual outpost is now lying further away from our goal. If they think we'r also mercs, they might leave us be, as long as we don't threaten them. We'r gonna land in the valley afterall, but close to the far side... And, I brought these..." Jeh'rad opens a crate, revieling some mandalorian design light battle armours in metal colour. "If we wish to go about un-detected, er must do our best not to reveal ourselves as Jedi. That means, NO lightabers visable... A normal sized lightsaber can be hidden within the bracers... I don't know about a double bladed... " Jeh'rad looks at Ryn and shrugs. "Sorry partner, can't take everything into account... Oh, and if the armours, smell sweaty? Then it's because they have been used before... By mandalorian scouts. They've been repaired and so on, but don't expect them to save your lives, rather run for cover, and wait untill we can surprise them by flashing sabers, okay? " Jeh'rad grins as he realizes how much the others are gonna hate this. "Weapons in those crates, and armors in those... And be sure not to take the one that can be further sized down, I only have one that would fit a bothan!" Jeh'rad points at the different crates as he finnishes, and get's dressed up in his own set of armour, now applying his helmet aswell.
(( this part of the most may be over ruled if anyone was gonna complain about having to be stealthy and dress up. ))
An hour later, the Gray Sparrow lands safely on Korribans surface, at the planned location. The shields are kept primed, and the guns ready. Jeh'rad sendt a brief transmission to the outpost:
"This is the captain of the Gray Sparrow speaking. We'r a group of merc's, currently on a mission, assigned to us by a Dark Jedi who calls himself Master Ri'tok'an. We are to search for his lost student here on korriban. His name is Lebarid Ashlorn, he is an Iridonian. If you have him in your costudy, we wish to bargain for him. We will not interfer with your work. The Gray Sparrow out."
He had done what he could... He could only hope that they were gonna believe that load of bullshit he just delivered to them.

Post by Grawn on Nov 6, 2008 16:24:30 GMT -5
Grawn had spent most of his time in hyperspace within the dark cargo bay of the Red Fury, meditating for his return to Korriban. Intent on find his uncles hideout out on the rugged terrain of the planet, he was hoping to discover something of use to him. He had recalled his uncle having a few holocron devices and books that pertained to the Seven Forms of Lightsaber combat, along with a sizeable knowledge base of several Dark side Force techniques.
The Dark Jedi opened his eyes, as the electronic voice of his ship came over the ships intercom. "Entering the Korriban space sector in 1 minute." Grawn nodded and stood up, making little noise as he left the cargo bay. As he entered the cockpit and sat down in the pilots chair, hyperspace disappeared and he found that he was looking at the large brown sphere of Korriban from space.
"Excellent", he said quietly. Once he was upon the planet, he could track his uncles hideout through the Force, maybe even retrace his steps from the time he had first departed it. His years of assassian training was a boon to him when he was required something that wished to not be found.
Gripping the ships controls, suddenly the Force whispered to him. A strange feeling overtook him, a feeling he couldnt quite describe. Looking to the planet of Korriban from his cockpit, Grawn could only wonder. Would be leave this planet alive? The Force had given him a warning, that much was for sure.
The Dark Jedi sneered, he would destroy anything that wished to stop him. As he thought this, images of his defeat at the hands of the Jedi on Coruscant flashed to him, but he swatted it away as if it was a fly.
Failure wasnt an option.
With that, his ship fired its thrusters and sped towards the planet.

Lon's ear pricked as the master mentioned his species. Lon suddenly felt like him being a different species would jeopardize the mission. He walked up to Master Verai'cal and spoke. "Master, if I'm going to jeopardize the mission, I can stay on-board with the troops as extra defense..." He turned back and walked to the Situation Room, not even waiting for the master's answer. Lon felt his lightsaber clipped to the back of his belt horizontally. An odd place for a Jedi to carry his weapon, but Lon though it strategic, a surprise of sorts.

In little to no time, Red Fury had entered through the planets atmosphere and Grawn was enabling his com unit. He was aware the Sith had occupied the planet even before he had left Korrbian. Ibapo had from time to time, gone their to purchase supplies from the people their at the outpost that was built only a fair distance from the original settlement.
He didnt doubt the Sith would wish to speak to him before wanting him to land in Dreshdae. Suddenly, a voice crackled over the the com unit as Dreshdae came within view of Grawns cockpit. "This is Dreshdae starport, what is your business here." The Dark Jedi smirked, and pressed the reply button, using the Force to intermix with his voice. "This is Grawn Ianie, i require landing. Could you assist me in this matter?". He let go of the button and waited. A reply soon came back, "I--think we can get a spot for you here. It will cost you 1000 credits though."
Grawn only smirked, greedy punks. "I dont believe ill need to pay that, do you?" he said calmly back, using the Force to persuade the person on the other end. "Um..I dont th--..Yes. Yes, it will be no problem at all", came back the voice, clearly confused at what was going on. "My thanks, ill be landing soon." was all Grawn replied before turning off his comm link with the station.
He put the ship on autopilot and closed his eyes. He had sensed them all before he had even come into range of Dreshdae, Dark Jedi gathered here in masses. All of them searching for power and their desires, thinking they would get it here. The Sith allowed their presense easily enough but Grawn highly doubted they truely understood what they allowed in their outposts. He had fooled the station in hopes that he could remain undetected by the Sith as a Force user, he would similarly cloak himself off to any preying Dark Jedi as well.
He had no desire to "team" up with anyone, he felt attachment to another being only allowed yourself a weakness that sometimes, unknowing to yourself, you could not afford. If Grawn died on this planet, he would do so alone.

Jeh'rad was cought off guard, he looked up from the rifle he was assembling with a surprised look on his face.
"Wha..? NO wait, Lon! Jeopardize the mission? You fit in perfectly! Bothans are reknown scouts and spies... No-one will wonder... C'mon! I even spend hours trying to figure out, how to make room for bothan ears, don' let me down here" he smiles and hands the armor to Lon. "Besides, you we wouldn't have brought you along if we didn't think you could handle it... "

Lon smiled a little, taking the armor. He slipped out of his Jedi garments and into the armor. He slipped his lightsaber into the back compartment of the armor, making sure it was accessible as well as hidden from plain view. He slipped the helmet on, took a weapon, then proceeded to the exit ramp, waiting for their landing.

Ryn rubbed the stubble on his chin, for some odd reason he had neglected to shave. "Part with my lightsaber? In the presence of Dark Jedi? That is beyond stupid. . . . it is suicidal" Sundar thought as he strapped his armor on. He searched for anything that his double bladed lightsaber would fit, the handle of his weapon was the length of two lightsaber hilts linked together.
This would pose a problem. "At least this is Mandalorian Iron. . . . resistant to lightsabers. . . ." He trailed off. Suddenly, Ryn saw one of the "mercenaires" packing an equipment bag, he instantly walked over to the man and asked him if he could use it for the mission. With a quick nod the man relinquished his backpack "Thank you, you have not seen the last of your bag, I assure you." Ryn said, it was not that equipment bags are expensive, the young knight was just being polite.
With that, he gave the contents of the bag to the man and packed his lightsaber inside. Ryn slung the pack around his shoulder and then proceeded to pick up a blaster carbine "So uncivilised. . . ." Ryn said as he slipped his helmet on. Honestly, he was a mixture of scared manure-less and reassured that he heard the hiss of the helmet sealing him in its atmosphere. Suddenly, his visor lit up with many strange symbols; a green dot representing each of the Jedi wearing the armor, his own heart rate and vitals, and small-scale sensor array.

Daren hadn't been on Korriban long but it's power had already heavily influnenced him. His abilities grew more powerful daily but he still was no where near prepared for his mission. To find the Truth about the Jedi hunting him. Was it a cover up? Or a mistake? Either way he wanted to be a even match to any Jedi on the council before going before any Jedi. This idea was shattered as he felt a large disturbance in the force. "Jedi..." He sighed seeing the vision of their ship landing in the valley. He shook his head and tried to get the visions of the battles ahead away. He looked around his small shack and gathered his supplies. He hadn't wanted to deal with the Jedi this soon but there was no other way. He left his house closing the door using the force and went into the valley, he looked up and saw the ship arrive and concealed himself from it's view. Korriban's power would shield him from their view so he had nothing to fear. He focused his energy into figureing out how strong these Jedi were...
"Strong...Stronger than I." He said to himself frustrated. Ironic he wanted to face the Jedi but they confronted him to soon. He waited comtemplating what to do next...

(my apologizes if im going to fast, im just bored ) Grawn walked down the streets of Dresdae, his hood low and his lightsaber hidden beneath his robes. The Force allowed him to cloak himself to the presense of anyone who would be interested in him, which he hoped would make it easy for him to leave Dreshdae with little to no issues. Although, he could only laugh at the novice fools who called themselves Dark Jedi traversing the place. All of them radiated their power freely, not caring who saw or what the consequences. To them, they were invincible. To Grawn, they were mere children, unaware of greater power beyond themselves and their acclaimed "godhood". They wielded the dark side like one would wield a crude club, while he used it like a scapel in the hands of a doctor. Lack of self control led to ones eventual downfall, this Grawn knew, so he made sure his power was always in check. He continued down the street, not speaking nor making direct eye contact with anyone. He would sometimes glance at something that caught his eye but only for a moment, what he really was looking for was a speeder. The one he used on Tattoine had been damaged so he was without land transport at the current time, but he knew their had to be a vendor willing to rent him one around here somewhere. Following the beckonings of the Force, he took a left and saw a man standing before several crude looking speeder bikes, a sign above him affirming he was a vendor. " Evening.", Grawn said as he approached the man. The man smiled and bowed before the Dark Jedi, though he was unaware of whom he actually spoke to. " Ah! Welcome to my vendor, we sell speeders here. You find someone of interest, yes? A nice Mark IV perhaps?"Grawn glanced around the bikes, not really caring of which one he took but making sure none of them had any obvious flaws in them. Each looked like they had previous owners, weither the bikes were purchased or stolen, he could care less. " Im looking for a craft that wont break down on me in the middle of a trip. Think you can pull that off?", he replied, lifting his head slightly to lock his yellow eyes upon the man. The man gulped slightly as he made contact with Grawn's unnatural eyes. " Aye, sure, this one here", he quickly came back, pointing to the speeder closest to Grawn. The Dark Jedi regarded the craft. He was no expert with such things but he sensed nothing out of place with the craft itself, nor did the man give off any feelings of deception, just a large amount of fear. After looking over the craft, Grawn turned his head to face the man who had broken into a cold sweat. " I havent any credits, perhaps your life is worth giving this to me?", he stated simply, crossing his arms across his chest. He really had no intention of actually killing a man over such petty things but he would get the speeder one way or another. " Sure! Just leave me alone, please!", was all the man said, fear radiating from him and made apparent from his stuttery speech. Then the man pulled out a key card from his cargo vest pocket and tossed it to Grawn, who caught it with ease. " My thanks.", was all Grawn said as he turned away from the man and went towards the speeder. Just as he came close, something didnt feel right. Turning quickly, the Dark Jedi was able to duck the blaster bolt that would've hit his head. The man stood some feet away, a pistol in hand. Several people took notice of this as they watched intently upon the two, apparently, fights on Dreshdae werent uncommon. Losing his patience quickly, Grawn raised a gloved hand in a gripping motion. The Force latched on the mans blaster pistol and with little thought, the Dark Jedi crushed the weapon to uselessness. The man, realizing finally who he dealt with, dropped the twisted weapon and ran away, pushing through the minor crowd that had circled the two. Growling in disgust, Grawn quickly jumped onto the speeder and revved the engine. He didnt want to catch attention and the fool had made the exact opposite happen! He revved the engine once more and accelerated through an opening in the crowd that led to outside the outpost.

Jeh'rad looked at Ryn and walked over to him. "Smart... Here, stuff this equipment in your bag aswell, and make sure you can still reach your saber. I didn't forget about you Ryn... " Jeh'rad goes throguh his pockets and hands him two modified training sabers, and an odd device. The training sabers were slightly longer than normal, and had an odd rear end. "These belonged to my master... He made them when he wanted to learn staff-fighting. With this device they can be combined. " Jeh'rad looks up at where Ryn's face would be under the helmet. "You can stuff the in your bracers..." Jeh'rad gears up himself and heads for the ramp. Before he even made it there, he could feel the ship land on the barren wastes. Him and Ryn were the last to make it out there. Two small sensory droids were the first to leave the ship as the ramp lowered. If they weren't all dressed in armours, they would feel the korriban air greet them. "Jeh'rad looked around. Except for the short bothan, he was the only one who looked different from the rest, in his black armour. "Moveout... " Jeh'rad spoke in a commanding voice. Already had he fallen back into the role as Jedi General.
The leader of the mercs nodded and as he and his troops began to move out. "Yes sir!"

Daren watched the ship's ramp open growled in anger, "Far to many." he said counting them. He looked down to his blade and up into the sky. He breathed in deeply and calmed himself. The Jedi might not sense him now but if he let his anger overwelm him there'd be no hiding. He watched in silence depating his possible attack plans. The Jedi would overwelm him obvoiusly...he decided the best thing to do was to wait. He would follow them and he smirked thinking "The lure of the Dark Side is strong...I'll let them destroy themselves." with this he raised his hood over himself and watched from afar. He would retreat far away from the group. If he could sense something was wrong he knew the master Jedi could. He quickly moved farther into the valley but he wouldn't let the Jedi out of his sight.

Jace didn't like the idea of parting with his Jedi robe, he wasn't supposed to be attached to such trivial things but it had been with him through thick and thin. Jace put on the Mandalorian Armor, making sure to hide his lightsaber, and grabbed a blaster. He also noticed a backpack and tucked his robe into it, he had a feeling he might need it before this day was out.
Jace walked outside the exit ramp and the harsh climate of Korriban hit him right in the face.
Ahhh the wonders of the universe thought Jace to himself.
Jace wasn't exactly a fan of walking around as a mercenary, it would fool other meceneries but walking past a Dark Jedi would be enough for them to know their true identity. Jace walked up behind Jeh'rad and whispered into his ear.
"You are of course no doubt aware of this but we need to get out of this place soon. We are very vulnerable and I can not tell how many Dark Jedi are in this vicinity. I know you must already have some plan to deal with this, I was just curious as to what it was"
Jace had no intention of trying to tell Jeh'rad had to do his job, especially since Jeh'rad had been doing it longer than he had. He just needed to know the full scope of this part of the plan to better react to the any occurrences.

Lon turned to see an extra survival pack. He ran to it, scooping it and his Jedi robes up. He placed them within the pack. Lon had a plan to do with his Jedi robes... He then took a small pistol to strap to his thigh, to look more like a Mercenary. Checking his lightsaber once more, Lon fell into march behind the others. He swept the landscape with his black eyes, trying his hardest to stay calm. He closed his eyes for a moment and went over the Jedi calming techniques he had learned over the years. He opened his eyes, a little more calm. He tightened his grip on the blaster rifle in his hands. The pistol stayed firmly strapped to his right thigh, very easy to grab if need be.

(Well I don't understand how he could sense us so clearly and easily. It might be part of his characters special traits. I know this though...The dark side clouds everything, so we shouldn't be able to sense DJ's easily...and honestly elder jedi like us can mask our presence so it should be difficult to sense us too)

Jeh'rad accessed the comm system in his helmet and transmitted only to Jace. "Dark Jedi? Unorganized, unruly, untrained... If one comes looking for us, he will be alone.. And if not, then yes, ofcoruse I have a plan for this. If we can handle them, we do, if we can't we run. Maybe we can reason with them... depending on weather or not they know what we are... Right now, I don't think anyone has an interest in comming here, to get us... So let's worry about that when we'r in trouble. " Jeh'rad then accessed a portable device he had broguht and activated his ship's defence systems. If anyone had picked up on the Jeid landing there, they would expect them to be onboard the ship, seeing all the merc's leaving. The ship and the battle droids unboard were set to destroying all hostiles, unless "Overwhelmed", then the autopilot in the ship would take off. Jeh'rad swtiched channles so he know spoke to all of the VIP crew. "We will use the ship as a base of opperations, but we will only return there when night falls. Incase we are unable to do so, you all carry a small one person tent, and a module that amkes it possible to interlock several tents... All of them. You also carry a sleeping back, and a soft underlayer. In your bags, there are enoguh rations to keep you alive for 2 full weeks. You also all carry first aid equipment, and survey gear. You carry, no extra ammunition, or explosives. That was sacrificed to make room for the survey gear, and the extra rations... Yes, extra rations. I'm usually not a fan of pre-briefin, but in this case, I'll let you in on our worst case scenario. If the commandoes are taken out, we still have a mission to do here. That measn if we are somehow stuck here, we have a duty to return home with what ever we ahve uncovered. That could mean staying here for several weeks. So every time we return to the ship, stock up on ammo and provisions. Also, currently, your helmets comm system is set to transmit to all in the VIP crew member. I am the only one who has contact to the commandoes. If any of you know how to change channels in your helmets, then your well off, if not, try to learn. I might show everyone at the dinner table... Now, I think that Jace would like to tell us all about our mission. " The Jedi walking away from the ship escorted by the republic soldiers in disguise were all dressed the same, except for the collours of their armour trims. The darker the colour, the higher the rank. They were all wearing light mandalorian battle armours, allowing free movement, and light travel. This means that certian areas were left vulnurable, and only protected by the underlayer of armourweave ( a material somewhat resistant to lightsabers ). Their helmets were somewhat advanced (( be creative)). They were all carrying light carbines, and side arms. Each had two thermal detonators attached to their belts. A small vibro knife was strapped to the right boot, another one to their belt, and a third was applied to their carbines. The valley was desolate and empty. Skeletons were spread across the ground and pillars had been knocked over, and could now be used as cover. There was a way out the east, that lead into the barren lwastes of Korriban. To the south, there was a big ruin, and beyond it, the settlement of Dreshdae. It was impossible to get to Dresdae without using the force to leap over the cliffs and ruins, or having means to fly, which was indeed a possiblity. There were 4 tombs in the valley, one in each cornor. (( map: www.gamebanshee.com/starwarskotor/locations/valleyofthedarklords.php ))

Daren watched from far away using bionculars. He shook his head, "Who are these soldiers." He watched over them and smirked, "They don't look very proffesional. They are very new to the blaster." He chucked seeing a short soldier, "I've seen taller bothons..." he said scanning the soldiers one last time. He then checked the time and had about ten hours of daylight left. He would wait, and obserb. These may or may not be who he sensed but they looked important never the less. He quickly left from his place and moved down the Valley. He kept low making sure these men wouldn't catch sight of him. He moved towards the settlement he'd been there once and thought he might be able to find help.

(What's with everybody calling Lon short?)
Lon heard the messages come through the comm system. He swept the landscape again with his dark eyes. He started - he could have sworn he had just seen a shadow. no, just this imagination... He held the rifle across his chest, feeling the mist of uneasiness creeping up on him yet again. He sighed slightly, trying to remain calm. He raised one hand from his rifle and tapped the side of his helmet.
He spoke into it to Jeh'rad. " Sir, I advise we be cautious about our descent into the valley. A few feet back I could have sworn I saw something, so please be on your guard, just incase..." Yes, Lon used "sir" instead of "Master". He did so, because someone could have tapped into their comm channel. His hand found it way back to his rifle. He waited for a reply.

Grawn sped forward on his "borrowed" speeder, the rocky, desolate landscape wizzing by. It reminds him alot of Tatooine, save the annoying amount of sand that always seemed intent in getting places you didnt want it to. He was constantly searching mentally through the Force even as he controlled the bike, searching for any hint of his destination. Ibapo's hideout had always had a different feeling for Grawn, he had always found it after missions with little problems during his days as an apprentice to his uncle.
He was coming close to an area known as the Valley of the Sith Lords. The Dark Jedi held high respect for the area, for the dark side was in its purest, most powerful form in this valley. In it, held several tombs of many powerful Sith Lords back in the day when the Sith werent greedy rich men squabbling over their wealth and power. As he came over a small hill, he came to a halt and his eyebrow raised slightly in curiosity. A ship had landed close to the valley and several armed men were coming out of it, all carrying blasters of some sort. "Strange..", mumbled the Dark Jedi.
The men were in Mandalorian gear...which was odd, cause the Mando's held no place in Korriban, this was Sith space. A scouting party for possible invasion? Grawn wondered.... highly unlikely. Something wasnt right, he could feel the dark side repelling from the men as if it didnt want to come in contact with them. Grawn's eyes narrowed, then he scanned the rest of the valley for movement. Nothing of interest, until the Force dictated his attention to a particular area. Looking hard, he saw a cloaked figure watching the men as he did and Grawn could feel the Force radiate from it.
A dark jedi? Grawn dismounted and used the Force to mask his presence as he walked towards the figures direction. He would see what the hell was going on.
