Daren moved through the top of the valley in silence. He had learned his way around here quickly and didn't have to stop. He kept low keeping himself guarded from view. He didn't see any reason to reveal himself early. He still had the element of surprise. That alone had won him many battles. He then stopped and turned around. The silence of Korriban left no comfort. He stopped...something was wrong. He scanned the area using all his senses. It wasn't what he could find that upset him...it was the lack of feeling. There was someone blocking his senses. He felt the metal of his lightsaber and held it in his hand. He stood to his full height. He knew one thing for sure. This was no Jedi... "Come out and Face me!" Daren said holding his blade to his side. He looked down to the valley one last time making sure they hadn't noticed him. Then he quickly moved up towards the lack of presense he felt.

Jeh'rad made contact to Lon. "Relax Lon, calm yourself. I think we'r all a little tence here... Don't shoot it before we know what it is. It could be anything... " Jeh'rad seems very sarcastic as he speaks again "Even a cute little bunny-rabbit... " The message hidden inside his words was clear to him, and porbably him alone. Nothing friendly was to be found here, AT ALL. They wouldn't wan't to anger anything that was "neutral" though.

"Come out and face me!" echoed through out the valley. Lon's ears pricked up in the limited space under his helmet. His fur also stood on-end. His gaze snapped upward. He saw a man in a black cloak holding a lightsaber in his hand. He also saw another man approaching the first. The approaching man seemed to stink with the Dark Side, both in fact stunk with it. It seemed to radiate off of them in an engolfing cloud. But, now wasn't the time to reveal themselves. Lon continued to march behind the others. Lon reached back to make sure his lightsaber was secure.
He actually made it look like he was searching for something. He sighed again, continuing to follow the group. He tapped the side of his helmet again. "Look up... Two men. I suspect Dark Jedi. Masters?" Lon spoked to everyone via their comm channel. Lon closed his eyes for a moment, then abruptly opened them, having heard the ignition of a lightsaber... a slight hesitation, then another ignition of a lightsaber, perhaps two more. He looked up against his will, seeing, to his horror, the two men holding active lightsabers.

Daren moved silently up the hill towards his foe. He hadn't seen him yet and he watned to get as far away from the valley as he could. He had given away his position and it was better to keep a low profile as long as he could. This idea was shattered however as the hole in the force emerged. A man stood beside a speeder bike in a dark cloak. Daren walked in front of him and stood his ground. He held his lightsaber close hidden in his robe. "What is your buiness here..." he watched the other man who stood in silence.

Jeh'rad was quick to alert the team, and everyone took cover. "Remind me never, to doubt you bothan ears again, Lon!" He turned his attention to the entire group, hating the fact that Jace still had not decided on where to go first. "Alright men, let's wait this one out... "

"Thank you, sir!" Lon smiled under his helmet. He ducked behind a boulder next to Jeh'rad. He unhooked his helmet from the neck piece on his suit, then set it next to his feet. He ran a hand through his hair, feeling sweat quickly accumulating on it. He stroked his beard once, then looked around. He slipped the survival pack off of his back and set it in front of him as well. Lon started thinking of different ways to speed this "waiting process" up.
He peeked around the rock to see where the men had gone. They were no where in sight, however. "Sir, they've taken cover or gone out of sight for a reason. I think they know we've spotted them. Instinctively, Lon slowly reached for his blaster rifle. He pulled it onto his lap, then re-hooked his helmet onto his armor. Lon brought up a pair of binoculars from his pack and began to scan the area for the two unknown men.

Post by Grawn on Nov 10, 2008 0:55:34 GMT -5
As the Dark Jedi approached him, Grawn had a massive urge to break his neck. Not only had he revealed both of them with his noise, it put them in danger. He locked eyes on the Dark Jedi, he stayed his hand which desperately wanted to use the Force and shatter the morons neck bone. Grawn could sense the spike of activity down in the valley, which could only mean the "Mandalorians" were all to aware of their presence. He kept his rage in check as the Dark Jedi asked his question. "My business is of little importance to you whelp. However, seeing as how you've foolishly revealed us both, i would suggest we flee. I have things to do and cleaning up your mess is not one of them!" he replied harshly, the venom in his voice all to clear.
Grawn looked down to the Valley to see that the Mando's had taken cover. Something still didn't feel right, despite the Dark Jedi whelps interference. The large group of life he sensed down there had force sensitives in the mix, but that wasn't what bothered him the most.
It was the fact he was familiar with two of the presences.
Grawn looked back to the Dark Jedi and regarded his activated blade and smirked slightly. "Can you properly wield such a weapon?", he asked sarcastically. The Dark Jedi was different then the trash he had sensed in Dreshdae, that much was for sure. For him to be able to not look for a presence but actually look for a lack OF presence was clever to say the least but nothing impressive. He waited for the Dark Jedi's reply with a smirk.

Jeh'rad was typing in some commands on his belt-commt, "I know what you mean Lon, but we need to stay put. I also have a bad feeling about this... Especially because I... Sence something. " Jeh'rads voice grew thoughtfull as he discretly turned his gaze to Ryn, who's mind was one big confirmation, that he could read openly, right now. He nodded to Ryn. "This is your call boy... Don't waist time here...." Jeh'rad's voice and tone was a bit harsh, and taunting, as he wanted to prepare Ryn mentally, and wanted him to innerly wish to succeed. Jeh'rad then tried to reach Jace again. His thoughts dwelled on Grawn. It would have been wiser if he had taken care of Grawn himself... But it was Ryn who had gotten the mission. Jeh'rads mission was personal. He could only hope that they both, orperhaps all three survived.... "Activate stealth-field generators! And further shiled your minds!"Jeh'radspoke on the comm to everyone. he wanted the dark jedi to think that only the commandoes were left behind, maybe to take care of eventual trouble. Maybe those Dark Jedi had not senced them at all... Maybe they had only seen them, in that case, he wanted them to think they were gone.

Daren laughed and looked to the Dark Jedi, "I only revealed us so you'd have no intent to be unreasonable." Daren smiled and looked back to the valley, "If we fight here...they will take us both by surprise and surely kill us. Even if you defeat me you'll be weaked to the point they will kill you. And If I win...well I won't stay around here to find out. I have an offer for you Dark Jedi..." Daren smiled and looked to his blade, "Oh...by the way...I can use this..." He said raising his blade into and aggressive stance, "It's your choice..." Daren smiled and waited.

Jeh'rad was trying to figure out what they were doing. Apparently they both had lightsabers... Were they gonna fight? Maybe this would resolve itself. He cought himself cheering for Grawn in the back of his head... Which was wrong. But he needed Grawn to complete Ryn... But why was he even thinking like that? Ryn was no his student, he was just a guy with ambitions. He shook his head for and looked in the direction he figured the now invisable Lon would be. "Lon, can you hear what they say?" Jeh'rad whispered into the comm, hoping that this wouldn't endager the entire mission. "Everyone, this might be a distraction, Lon, you keep an eye on them, and an ear... Make that two eyes and two ears... And the rest of you, follow Jace. " Jeh'rad spoke in a commanding voice. Ryn knew he was not included. The commandoes were left behind as a defence.

Something was odd, it sure was not the fact that a pair of Dark Jedi discovered their little "knowledge party", one of those Dark Jedi looked familar. Ryn let a silent curse fly from his lips, he wished that he had more time to get familiar with the suit's many features. The mando helmet had to have a magnification setting. . . . somewhere. After a few minutes Ryn just gave up. Ryn poped up from his cover slightly, not that it would matter, unless the Dark Jedi had blasters.
"Good, you can always count on the Dark Jedi to implode before anything else" Ryn thought one of the DJs pulled a lightsaber on the other. Suddenly, the young knight decided that it was in his best intrests to stay low, for now atleast, and watch from afar, he was not exactly in a big hurry to remind the Dark Jedi of his presence.
"Well, Jeh'rad. What do you propose we do?" Ryn asked, without turning his head towards the Watchman.

Jeh'rad spoke to Ryn via his comm. "Ryn, the council gave you a mission regarding Grawn. You must finnish it... I have to get the others to their destination, but then I promise I'll be back. What happens when two dogs get in a fight? At worst, one is beaten down and leaves in shame.. Be patient, and wait untill thesetwo have resolvedtheir conflict. I suggest getting close to the cliffs, and hide where you absoloutely cannot be seen and then rely on Lon's infor for when to strike or follow. I think one of them came on a speeder, so you should locate it and disable it. Good luck soldier.. " Jeh'rad looks around. "And may the force serve you well!" He says in a humorous tone. "Remember, we don''t ahve any business with the other one.. And we cannot stop to take out every single dark jedi we encounter here... So, stay on the target. If Grawn dies and the other one makes a run for it, then neutralize him. " Jeh'rads sences a bit of confusion within Ryn, and suddenly remembers that Grawn never revieled his identity to Ryn. "And by the way, Grawn is the name of the Dark Jedi you encountered on Coruscant, and I believe that man up there to be the exact same person. Don't ask questions no.. We both have better things to do. Jeh'rad out. "

"Your not worth the effort.", Grawn spat back at the fool before him. He didn't buy his story but at the moment that didn't mean much. Then he averted his gaze to the Valley, noticing several large pillars that dotted the area, all fallen and in pieces. A distraction would be nice he thought. He didn't intend on getting himself killed over the matter of pride, nor just for the pleasure of killing.
He looked back to the Dark Jedi and deactivated his lightsaber. If the fool wanted to attack him, it would prove fatal, for Grawn was no fool. Conjuring lightning was a task that took little effort, a swing would give him the chance to unleash a storm that would tear into the Dark Jedi and destroy his nerve system. "We will need a distraction. We can discuss this situation when the threat of others intruding is gone.", he stated. As he finished his words, he closed his eyes and concentrated on several of the fallen pillars.
Slowly the ancient stone rose from the ground and hovered in the air, Grawn showing no trace of the task taking any effort. "It would only be convenient for us to kill one another for them. Don't let your pride cloud your judgment, else it will kill you." With that, he launched the pillars at the squad of "Mandalorians" and quickly to turned to his speeder, not even caring of the pillars results.
"As i said before, i have business. If you wish to follow, that is your choice.", Grawn said, looking at the Dark Jedi. He would await a response, but not for to long.

Lon looked up to find pillars flying through the air. With his fur and ears peeking to maximum height, Lon yelled,"Everybody-!" He cut off, seeing the pillars stop and drop to either side of the valley, then others flying back up. He heard his name, and nodded to Master Beleron. Lon took point as commanded, strapping the pack back to his back. He held his blaster rifle even tighter, preparing for conflict, but now wasn't the time to focus on anything else.
He cleared his sense, rather quickly. Then, he adverted all of his sense to finding a path tot he nearest tomb. His sense peaked with the sensing of a tomb. He nodded in the direction, begging to jog down the path he had just found. Soon enough, the group came across the tomb. Lon looked at Jace. "Permission to open the door, Master?" Lon waited for an answer before turning back to the door.

(OOC:woah you guys are going fast, sorry schools kept me quite busy, I shall be more involved)
Jace had been keeping his calm the whole time this escapade was happening, a anxious mind gets one nowhere.
I had not intended to run into trouble this early, we must avoid these people if possible. Now Jeh'rad wants to go out on his own, and to top it all off one of the Dark Jedi is a person Ryn has encountered.
"Ryn you are by no means to go chasing after that..."
Jace was cut off as a couple of pillars came flying towards their group. Jace cleared his mind and held out both his hands and with his will the Pillars stopped before they could hit the group. Jace wasn't done yet, he focused even harder and sent the pillars flying back in the direction they came from.
He then turned to the rest of the group
"Now everyone, we make for the nearest tomb. We must avoid open conflict at all costs. One of our opponents is quite strong to have done what he just did. Damnit Jeh'rad couldn't have run off at a worse time. Well he can take care of himself, I must look to the safety of the others"
He looks at Lon
"Lon you take point! your pathfinding skills are second to none! lets move people!"
Jace didn't like the way this was going at all, but he shouldn't have been so surprised considered where they were. If they could lose these group of possible Dark Jedi's, complete their mission and get out without conflict it would be quite nice.

Jeh'rad had was already at the tomb, waiting for the others, he had expected them to move a lot sooner, he did find it weird that Lon had decided to go with them this soon. Jeh'rad looked at Jace. "Ryn is tasked with a mission to deal with... That one" Jeh'rad points at one of the Dark Jedi. "He is a killer from coruscant, and must be neutralized. They are bound to face eachother again Jace... No need to stop that from happening. I still think Lon should be helping from distance, chances are that he can warn Ryn of dangers to come. .. Jcae, I suggest that we get this door open for the time being, then you let Lon help Ryn for as long as he can, and once he is nolonger doing any good to Ryn, he will join you in the tomb. I have a small matter I need to take care off first. I'll rendevouz with you inside, within 45 minutes... Can you accept my current plan? " He spoke directly to Jace, demanding an answer. Jeh'rad would certainly seem to know what he was doing. The situation was stressing, and it would only confuse the others more if they suddenly took orders from two persons. Ryn might not be a master, but he was a fully trained jedi knight. He was allowed to do missions on his own. He was qualified.

He looked at Jeh'rad straight in the face and replied
"I cannot and will not accept this plan. We are Jedi, and Killing another person, even if they have killed is not our way. He may have been tasked with the mission, but if it is truly fate, than they shall meet another day. I will not have Ryn run off, only to find himself surrounded by a group of Dark Jedi. I do not doubt Ryn's skills but there is only so much a person can do. I know you have come here with your own intentions, I cannot really tell you to not do something. So you can go and take care of what you came here to do, I will see you in 45 minutes"
He then turned to Lon and his face relaxed a bit
"Lon lets get this door open and find out what we can before anything else happens. Lets move guys"

Post by Vreem Took on Nov 10, 2008 18:01:59 GMT -5
(OOC: Sorry it took me a while to post, but you guys post too darn quick. Perhaps you should consider some sort of posting order? Right now it seems a little chaotic.)
His legs were crossed. His eyes were closed. His mind was open. Vreem sat within one of the rooms of the ship completely alone, as he had been since they had embarked. When he had come on board he had requested a room where he would be able to meditate alone throughout the flight, Jeh’rad had been kind enough to grant his request. It was imperative that he have the time to clear his thoughts before this mission, for he doubted it would be a simple one.
Vreem had thought this an odd mission from the moment it had been brought up and he also felt strongly about his opinions regarding the matter. At first he had been completely against the idea, in fact he would still prefer it if they never set foot upon that rock, but when the majority of the council had decided that it was in their best interest to search the planet; his mind had become clouded with thoughts. Master Beleren was chosen to from a team and lead the expedition. After hours of meditation and contemplation, Vreem made a bold move in the Council Chambers. He felt that visiting the planet was a dangerous endeavour, especially to those who had never visited it before, he knew more than any present. So he proposed he go along with them, in order to try and stop any of the Jedi straying too far from the path of light after all, even the oldest and wisest mind could be corrupted by a world which swam in darkness such as that rock. He, and the other council members it appeared, believed that as he had managed to overcome the planet after years of influence he would be able to help with its effects upon the party.
Even he had been surprised when they had agreed with his proposal; usually they were all uncertain of how to approach him regarding such things, those who knew his past at least. Luckily there were also not many around now who knew of his experiences, in fact it was only the members of the Council from that time, his friend Jayne and any Knights who may have been involved in someway, but they were few. In all honesty it was a mission he’d rather avoid entirely, yet he felt compelled to participate, for the sake of those on the expedition.
Jeh’rad and Jace were the only two who directly knew of his involvement in the mission, although neither really knew of his purpose upon the trip, even Jace hadn’t been informed about his past and thusly why he would want to travel with him. He knew little of those who made up the rest of the group, but he suspected he’d discover more about them in due time.
So he sat alone in his small private area throughout the duration of the flight, in a constant state of meditation. He sat upon the cold rough surface of the metal floor, legs folded in a position they were extremely used to by now. Upon his knees rested his hands, their fleshy palms clasping the hard bone gently but with a subtle firmness. Before his calmly closed eyes floated two long, shining spherical objects, both with their own unique and personalised design. They moved soothingly through the air, individually rotating at a nice and calming race and from there they moved through the air to build the shape of sphere in the air. They were both lightsabers he had a past with, the first was his own blade, the one which had seen him through a large number of confrontations, deflected blaster bolts which sought his life, met blades which looked to decapitate him and alerted foes to the threat he would possess.
It was the second blade which was not typically seen out in the open. The blade of his Master, its glorious silver blade had not been on display since all those years ago, but for this mission in particular it served as a strong reminder for the maturing Master of the Force. It was on this planet that he had acquired the blade; all too quickly the memories of that battle came flickering back like a slideshow in his mind. It was his turning point; the battle signified his return to the light, his redemption. It was the most difficult fight he had ever endured, one slight error in his use of the second form and he would have been missing a limb. But now the weapon would serve as a beacon from which he would be able to draw memories, in order to fortify his mind against the ravages of darkness.
After the first few calls he faintly heard over the internal communications system, Vreem felt the shake which any frequent flier knew was the tremor created by the thick metal ship crashing into a planet’s atmosphere. With that he slowly slipped out of his meditating state and got to his feet. He had decided that he would take a different approach to this mission, as he gathered the equipment which Jeh’rad had supplied, after all of the others had come and gone, he sent a brief telepathic message to both Jace and Jeh’rad ”For this mission I will be completely invisible, but ready to support any of you should you need it. I’ve created a separate channel for you two if you wish to speak to me individually. I will be keeping my distance, so don’t try and look for me, or even try to signal to me, I’ll be ready.” He had to approach this mission with a sense of detachment; otherwise it would be too easy to get pulled into the moment.
With that he moved back into the small room which he had previously been in, picking up the two lightsabers, he placed them within the bracers of the armour and then got ready. The armour was fairly comfortable, more so than Vreem had expected. After sealing himself in the thin plating of armour, he his robes into a pack which he slung over his shoulder, his robes were quite unique and he didn’t really want to leave them behind.
There were two stages to his invisibility trick, the first was simple and technology based, it dealt with the visual aspect and thanks to the stealth field generator he was wearing, it was quite a simple trick. The second stage, however, was much more difficult, it dealt with the mental side of his invisibility, to disappear from the Force, reduce the immense Force presence he was exuding so that he appeared to no long exist, that the Force flew naturally around him as it did an empty space of air. This way he would be invisible to everyone, friend or foe.
Vreem exited the ship a little bit after everyone else, rifle firmly in his grip, he’d held and fired a rifle before, but he didn’t find it even remotely enjoyable, he much preferred his lightsaber. As the group moved out, Vreem still maintained his distance, managing to keep a close eye on them and their surroundings. When things slowly became more active, he stopped himself from intervening, even if his instincts as a Master told him to do so. With the appearance of the Dark Jedi, Vreem became slightly more alert and prepared yet still keeping his distance from his comrades.
And then the pillars came flying towards the group and the Jedi Master was torn between what to do, using any form of force technique would most likely not end well. But then again, it was unlikely that they’d all survive if they just tried to avoid the large heavy towers of rock if they simply used their basic reactions and muscles. However, the remedy to this problem was applied when Master Beleren stepped up to stop the pillars through the Force; the protection of the group came before maintaining the stealth and secrecy. But now they were exposed, maybe even to any other Dark Jedi who were around, and not just the two who were currently focused on them.
As he approached the tomb, he could hear the conversation, already there was confusion in the ranks, people splitting up to take upon their own goals. Things were not going well, whether it was conflicting leadership or the effects of the planet already dawning upon them Vreem couldn’t be sure, but if things carried on, he would have to intervene and that meant revealing his presence. They needed to get this mission done as quickly as possible and without attracting any more attention, if only they could be so lucky.

Lon nodded to Jace. He really didn't know which to listen to, but he turned to the door, summoning his lightsaber to his side with the Force. In a flash of brilliant dark green light his lightsaber ignited. Lon gripped it with two hands, dropping his blaster rifle. He stabbed the lightsaber's blade through the door's left side. In one swift motion, Lon cut a line across the door. He closed the weapon down, then positioned his hand over the door.
The door collapsed inward, being pushed slightly by the Force. Lon stepped aside, re-clipping his lightsaber to the back compartment of his armor. He bent down to pick his weapon up. Lon strapped the weapon to his armor with a rope from the pack on his back. It dangled on his armor like a limp limb. "Would you like me to take point again, Master?" Lon's voice floated to Jace's ear.

( OOC: lol sorry Jace, it gets intense sometime, anything to keep it moving. If im going to fast, just say and i can wait a little before posting ;D)
Grawns eyes went wide as the pillars were stopped in mid-air. I knew it!, there were Jedi in that group! But Grawn had little time to think about that as he noticed a different set of pillars lifted off the ground and came flying towards him and the Dark Jedi. Crap, Grawn yelled in his head and shoved the Dark Jedi out of the way before he could reply, as the pillar soared towards them.
Gathering the Force, he gripped onto the pillars and concentrated, trying to stop them. Whoever had thrown the blasted things were no novice, as it took alot more willpower to stop the pillars before the crashed into Grawn, they stopped merely a few centimeters before his face.
"Bastards", he hissed angerly and dropped the pillars. Stopping the projectiles had took more then a little effort. Who the hell were they?! was all he could think. Forgetting about the Dark Jedi he had shoved, he closed his eyes and expanded his mind. The Dark side of Korriban reinforced his powers as he sought out the Force sensitives in the group of soliders down in the Valley.
"Four.", he mumbled, his eyes still closed as he viewed them in his minds eye. The Force sensitives glowed a light blue, the rest were gray which meant that had little to no Force potential. As he concentrated, few of the Force users were on the move near one of the tombs, it struck him like a full blown punch.
Two of those were the Jedi from Tatooine and Coruscant!
His face twisted with rage as the images of his defeats flashed in his mind. Grawn knew he would meet them again, but now wasnt a good time. He wasnt anymore powerful then he had been during either of the encounters.
