I recently got this idea concerning the currently non existant organization of Dark Jedi.
A little background on my idea, as it's still a work in progress: The Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic are currently at war. The protectors of the Republic are the peacekeeping Jedi. They may not be soldiers, but they ARE protectors of the Republic, and sworn to uphold democracy. That means, that they pose quite a thread to all enemies of the Republic.
Now that all the Sith Lords have gone buhbye, the Sith Empire has nothing that can be compared to a Jedi in thier service. This means they are defenceless against lightsaber and forcepowers. If I was a Sith Generel, I'd try to get some Jedi to see things my way. The Sith Empire is based on Dark Side ideals, which means many Dark Jedi could also come to agree with such views. Also, if there is one thing a Dark Jedi usually craves, it is a chance to kill Jedi and to gain power. Both could be accomplished by becomming a Sith Trooper.
And I know that the most realistic thing for a Dark Jedi to do, is crawl for himself and try to gain power through vengence and cruel selfish acts... But I think my idea offers better oppertunities to RP, and I am not suggesting that ALL Dark Jedi should be forced to make their characters wan't to join (because that would be outright redicules), I simply think that it would be cool if people had the option.
Requirements:
This idea would require the following: 1 Powerfull Sith Generel, 5+/- Dark Jedi with ambitions, 3 Sith Troopers who are willing to work with Dark Jedi. ( I suppose more will be added to this list)
Is this even allowed/possible?: I asked the mods some time ago if it was allowed, and I believe their answer to have been a yes.
Weather or not it's possible, I don't know. It depends on if anyone will join in on this idea I guess.
If you'r interested, let me know.

goof idea and all..but the Dark lords are coming back... The main problem in my eyes is that dark jedi cannot work together aswell as lets say the edi because they wil end up killing one another. The dark lords shall grant the DJ positions if they see fit but i will let jenno have his say as he is the boss =)

As Iota had already said, the Dark Lords are staging a return, Dark Jedi have been recruited along side the few Sith that there are (although they have yet to meet the two leaders of the Sith) they have also come into contact with some leading figures in the Sith Empire and there will soon be some missions for the integration. So, it is a good idea, but we are already doing it .

Well, that sounds cool Looking forward to see the evil rise again... I'm not sure we ahve the exact same idea though. Mine doesn't involve any Sith Lords. My idea is basically just to gather some of the... "ignition-switch happy" dark jedi who are out there and have some Sith general who's sick of getting his troops back as kebob, to hire them as Jedi killers. Eventually, I had hoped that some of them would gain some power and influence within the ranks of the Sith (emprire) and maybe become officers. That way, we have a nice cross-venue. I don't mind infights at all, it just gives the whole thing a more realistic feel. The Sith-Lords seems to be rising very slowly, why should the Sith Empire wait? Any Dark Jedi who chooses to follow are likely to submit to the rule of the Sith's anyways, right? I mean, if they wanna learn, they gotta follow... So I don't think it'l ruin any plot either, it's just gonna unite two factors that need eachother to survive... But I'm sure you wouldn't ahve wrote that you guys are already doing it, if you actually weren't, so let me ask in a different way, can we use this thread to get more people in on the idea?

Well, i'm no General, but I AM a new rear admiral for the sith military, and I need a few things to get my 'ducks in order' as it were, so if you'd like Jade to get involved he's....interested.

it would only really work with dark jedi knights and below..dark jedi masters wouldn't take orders from a mere general

I'm up for it. I need to find a way to get my character involved. This seems as good a way as any.

Cool, well Admiral, general, potato tomate... No, wait a minute?... Anyways. I suppose me making this thread somehow requires me to get involved? I am working on a jedi who's been kicked out an now works as a merc, so I might. But untill then, go for it... Jade You should find a way to make it official that your character is hiring dark jedi. Maybe post a new thread and get some people to join, like I tried to here. To catch interest, I suggest that you offer away powerfull positions, and lots of resources, plus the chance to kill Jedi and torture jedi. Iota: You know, not all dark jedi masters proud SOB's who won't walk them selves. Some are cunning, and wouldn't miss out on a chance to take over the Sith Empire by starting out as, maybe a generals advisor?

but also..not all DJM's crave to destroy half the galaxy or wish to rule the galaxy..xavier just craves power through knowledge as apposed to power through territory =) Xavier will only show respect to people as powerful as he is and or more powerful force wielders.. but they are rare hehe

... Why on earth would you wan't power just so you can destroy? It is my understanding that most who are corrupted by the dark side craves one thing. Power. No matter how powerfull you become, a factor as strong as the reoublic or the sith empire still beats your power. If you wish to be the most powerfull, you must lead one of those factors.

yes but there are many different forms of power. its not always the desire for all dark side users to be so open and destructive. Xavier does not want to rule the galaxy, he is a philosopher of sorts and wishes just to know things and live his life his own way and not in the cliché way most Dark Jedi do =)
