The spy, the droid, and the hunter {Invite}

Sylbia Squeezed herself down against the hill rise panting as she nervously scanned the rolling grassland. She hugged her SK-22 pistol to her chest as she saw the bounty hunter crest a rise four or five hundred meters away. She knew she ad to stop running already she was light headed from the heat and breath was ragged her lungs burning from the run. She squeezed herself even tighter to the hill as she slowly crawled away hoping that the bounty hunter wouldn't spot her as the pulled herself along the dirt and down the hill. She was just about to a reach the top of another small hill when several blaster bolts scorched the ground to her left. Sylbia screeched as the left to the side and to her feet and started sprinting again with at least two blaster bolts zipping past her. As she ran to the distant walls of the space port she tripped sending her rolling down the hill as she blacked out from exhaustion.

HK-32 had been following this particular target for some time, if anything he found this sentient to be of interest. The places he drank, where he lived, who he hung out with and his contacts. 32 had beenordered with the task to terminate this particular sentient as soon as possible.

32 followed the bounty hunter to Dantooine, rather an odd place for a bounty hunter to travel to and the odds of him leaving thew planet were slim to none, 32 had enough data on the bounty and his primary protocol had kicked in, 32 knew obviously that if the bounty hunter wanted to leave the planet he would have to return to the space port. So 32 made up camp next to a wall just outside the main entrance on top of a hill.

After a few hours he noticed an odd looking female sentient running for her life, he did enjoy watching meatbags and their strong emotion known as fear kick in. She ran up the hill, as she did so the mark he was ordered to terminatecame with in visual range. This was HK's moment, his reason detré.

The girl had tripped over and blacked out, at this precise point in time HK let out a small laugh through his vocabulator. The bounty hunter drawing closer and closer as the seconds passed. He walked up to the unconscious girl and laughed at her before aiming the blaster at her.

This is where HK decided to step in, HK's mark was feet away and HK's circuits were abuzz with this sentient girl.. HK was intrigued yet fascinated by her. He drew out his blaster and walked around the bounty hunter staying behind him so he would not see HK.

"Hah, too easy..send my regards to your maker" The bounty hunter stated.

"Surprise statement: Surprise Meatbag!" HK stated a split second before pulling the trigger, the bounty hunter flinched for a moment or two before dropping his blaster and his lifeless body falling dead to the ground. HK looked to the corpse "Addendum: Send mine to yours.."

HK-32 looked over to the girl laying unconscious on the floor, he gave her a light nudge with his foot as he scanned her vital signs. "Shock: a droid stroke meatbag.....oh the blasphemy!"

Sylbia jerked awake with the less than subtle rolling and expression of her stomach contents on the deep brown earth of dantooine. "Guah" the silver skinned woman muttered as she wiped her mouth with the back of her droid hand. She spotted the looming shadow over her as her senses started to reach out and instinctively she reached down for her pistol before simply grasping air. Hesitatingly she slid her hand up to the blaster pistol in it's shoulder holster before rolling onto her back and looking up at the foggy shape half blocking the sun as she squinted up at them before slowly licking her lips and speaking. "I..I can't run anymore and I can't fight you..Jus, just do what your going to do and get it over with."

HK-32 tilted his head slightly as hiscircuits were abuzz with this creation. He was in some what awe that some meatbags decided to go ahead and create a cybernetic organism, it was beyond comprehension.

"Confusion: What would i want to do with what can only be labeled as a half breed? " He paused for a moment. "Statement: Obviously this bounty hunter was after you.. " HK-32 stepped closer to the cyborg "Addendum: so too should i.. but .. my protocols must have been damaged..instead i have to protect..." HK-32 hit his head a few times to see if that would help "Hmm... a previous master must of altered my programming when i was on down time..." He shook his head "i shall kill him for that.."

HK-32 slipped his blaster back in its holster before moving slowly towards this girl, he bent over slightly towards her and held out his hand. "Welcoming statement: HK-32, assasin stroke protocol droid"

Sylbia Furrowed her brows as the being a droid by the voice said half-breed obviously it had deeper than normal scanners to find that out so quickly. "Um, Mr. dro.." she started before his scrambled brained speech first made her shrink back and then perk up at least a little bit has he extended his hand out. "Why are the droids always soo crazy?" she thought to herself as she tepidly grasped it's hand and levered herself staggering into him slightly. "I suppose I should thank you, um, my name is sylbia normally I wouldn't have gotten myself in that situation, but well things happen." Sylbia scanned around them "Could we continue this merry meeting back at my ship after being robbed of my lunch I'm rather hungry" she paused placing a left hand on her stomche while still holding the droid's hand with her right. "Um, could you help me find my pistol? I've seemed to have misplaced it."

HK-32 nodded as the girl spoke, not out of respect but rather condescension, it was a quirk of his that he pitted himself aboveany meatbag besides his master.

"Your pistol.." the odd notion of meatbags always losing items always confused him, better yet a half droid who lost her belongings. If he had eyebrows he surely would of raised one by now. HE scannedthe local area before finally locating the said pistol "Statement: Your pistol "Syblia" is located over there." HK pointed to a spot a few feet away just off the dusty road.

"Witty retort: Ah yes, Lunch.. the inevitable time of day between breakfast and dinner where a sentient gorges themselves.. its no wonder all the food you eat doesn't slosh around your flawed bowels and caused you to fall over....HaHa" stated with a hint of sarcasm.

Sylbia tried to block out the droids mocking tone as she picked up her pistol and slid it back in it's holster on her right hip. "My dear droid I doubt many sentients would consider the small tubes of grey sludge I am forced to eat as much to gorge themselves on, not that they could eat it." she started walking towards the "As for my falling over it is very hard to cool one's self when they lack suitable methods. Besides "she began lifting her chin. "it was a two hour chase now come on I'm sure ki is wondering where I am by now." She said turning to enter though the walls of the space port.

HK-32 immitates syblia's voice "Mockery: Oh, its very hard to run and concentrate when its sooo hot.." He shook his head for a moment "Clarification: Meatbeags... always blaming everything but themselves" HK-32 sighed for a moment before following Syblia to her ship.

Sylbia glared at the droid as it started walking forward "I can't believe I'm getting ridiculed by a walking junk heap." As they entered into the bustling spaceport she crossed her arms and hunched down as more than one person stared at the pair as the cacophony of the noise assaulted her hearing. She continued increasing her pace though the port until she was jogging by the time she reached her small freighter and started letting down the ramp. Hoping the droid would get there quickly so she could get out of view.

HK-32 proceeded to walk towards the ship before noticing a hugely overweight rodian, as he carried on walking his circuit boards started to process possible comments, the process itself only took a split second:

"Over weight rodian, calculating possible verbal dialouge:

Comfort.... Negative

Motivation.... Negative

Optimism.... Negative

Pessimism.... Negative

Terminate.... Negative

Offer food... Negative

Offer communication number to a decent Dietician... Possibly

Ridicule... Affirmative"

HK-32 tilted his head in the split second it took "Ridicule: You are what you eat and you clearly went out and devoired a fat meatbag.. have a salad and go for a ong walk!" He laughed to himself as he boarded the ship.

[Zarkan]

"Oh, will you just sit down in the corner you bolt head." She shouted at the tactless droid as she hurriedly closed the ramp. "Do you really have no concept of tact or subtlety at all. Tha..that was just hor-iee!" she broke off in a squeal as a blue flash smacked her in the chest and over a passenger seat behind her. "Ki that was horrid timing you know." Sylbia grunted to the large durasteel plated spider like droid spread out over her chest.

The droid started chattering in what for a droid would be a very angry tone."BeepbeepboopWopbeep beep!"

Sylbia couldn't help the small smile that crept onto her face. "Ok I'm sorry I'll call next time, I'll call just get off me!" She said nudging the droid back as it slowly skittered up on her shoulder as she stood up. "Comfortable?" She asked as her left shoulder slumped under the weight. The droid nodded as best as he could as he chirped.

"Good, Ki this is HK-32." she said gestruing with her right hand to HK "HK-32 this is Ki" she said as she patted the blue droid on the head area.

HK-32 hurrid up the ramp before responding to the accusations. "Description: tact - subtlty - The ability to vocally voice your oppinion or physical gesture in a sheathed manner not to rile others" HK-32 looked around the ship before looking back to Syblia "Clarification: I am an assasin droid, not a pleasure droid.. I can be subtle... i canlay on the ground from 25 kilometres away using an aratech sniper rifle and quite easily yet convincingly kill a mark with a head shot"

HK-32 looked to Syblia's companion "Sarcasm: Great! a utility droid!" He stated quite convincingly.

Sylbia mentally shuddered at the coldness about which the droid talked about killing, she hated killing. She smirked a little at the droid's last comment before speaking "Oh, Ki's much more than just a utility droid. I've used parts of my design and other designs I've stolen to improve his design. In fact ki is probably smarter than you we share the same kind of memory and skeletons and I have improved virtually every portion of his design." Sylbia hardly noticed Ki start growling as she glowingly described her dear friend. "I'm sure with a little time you'll realize just how useful of a little guy he ca-Ki, No!" she shouted as she grabbed at the droid as he lept at the assassin droid's face.

HK-32 nodded slightly as Syblia explained about Ki, he was very much acustomed to surprise attacks aswell as most forms of attacks due to his constant upgrading over the years, so it came to no surprise to HK-32 that this droid would in some way try to protect Syblia.

A handy design pro to an assasin droid is their near light speed reflex capabilities, with out a second thought HK-32 had brandishedhis ion pistol and shot the utility droid as it started to jump. The blaster was on its lowest setting so it would only stun the droid for 30 odd seconds. HK-32 lookedback to Syblia.

"Anyway, as i was going to say before i was rudely interrupted.. i am over 400 human years old.. in that time i have been upgraded more than enough times.. my knowledge base almost as big as 3 coruscant libraries put together.. after all i am also a protocol droid if the need arises." HK-32 looked down to the stunned droid "Mild warning: Don't do that.."

[Zarkan]

"KI!" Sylbia yelped as she ran to the limp droid "Ki wake up!" she said as she slowly picked up the little blue droid before glaring accusingly at HK unit "If he's not alright I swear I will have you scrapped you stumbling junk heap." her glare softened as she felt Ki move in her arms "Ki are you alright?" she asked a she lifted the droid up to eye level.

"Pypo" the droid groggly said as it nodded and wrapped its arm's around her left arm.

Sylbia smiled a little as she hugged him to her chest. "So your that archaic, I must admit I'm amazed you've managed to survive this long as blunt as you are."

[Iota]

HK-32 looked quizzically at the affection Syblia had for the droid. "Explanation: My maker was a genious in his field..albiet mentally unstable.. since his demise i have had masters ranging from senators to being a personal bodygaurd to the hutts and also the exchange.. i have so many modifications it would make your little pet miniscule in comparison." Hk-32 nodded before holstering his pistol "i have terminated near enough over a thousand targets in my existance and i highly expect many more in the future... it is what i am programmed to do."

HK-32 offered the utility droid some possible upgrades as a truce. "I have no need or desire to terminate you comrade.. there would be no point."

[Zarkan]

Sylbia scowled as Hk spoke butting in before Ki could say anything "I'm sure he doesn't want any of your upgrades." she said backing up and setting on the edge of her bed as she grasped a tube of silicon food paste. "And you certainly have nothing to be proud of by being a murderer Hk any one can kill some one to get a job done." she lowered her face before she started speaking again. "I should know I was a assassin once and though I chose to leave it behind me with the monsters that made me I still remember how it was done."

"Clarification: Murder? oh no.. Murder is an act conveiced from an emotional response.. what i do is an art form.. as an artist gracefully brushes against the canvas, i gracefully pull the trigger of my carbine across the canvas of blood and meatbag slushiness." HK-32 looked to to sylbia for a moment. "Comforting gesture: Those who believe what i do is murder are uneducated and lack the required crudentials..it is my Reason Detré..i kill, therefore i am." HK-32 seeming some what happy with himself.

HK-32 started to fiddle with hos armour for a moment. "Meatbags are like a virus anyway..they reproduce..zap the resources from their location and move on to start again.. they aren't as intelligent or as strong or quick reflexed as we assasin droids.. they are prey and i am the predator." HK-32 stood proudly for a moment before retiring to a cornerin silence.

[Zarkan]

"I am not a DROID!" Sylbia screamed at the Hk before slowly pulling back against the far wall cuddling Ki quietly for several minutes. Before finally speaking "I..I'm sorry I." she slowly stopped and looked at the Hk before sucking down some of the tube. "I'm not like you." she said quietly looking away from the HK droid.

HK stepped back for a moment as Sylbia screamed at him then some what instantly she apologised. Emotions, something HK-32 understood in theory but not in practise. it was not his mission to annoy Sylbia.

"Query: you know i am a droid ergo you know my programming chip dictates my personality.." HK-32 moved forward slightly before continueing on "Explanation: I have no desire to anger or upset you Sylbia.. i cannot help who i am...unless of course i geta new personality chip installed..but i digress.." He paused for a moment before scratching his head.

"You are a sentient stroke droid..think of it like this..yu are a sentient meatbag with all the pros of a droid and all the pros of a sentient... you are a god amongst man!" HK-32 standing in a smug manner as he starts using philosophy to cheer the girl up. "No need to be sad..some droids and meatbags alike will envy you."
