Fringe applications include a section for specialized skills. Jedi applications include a section for specialized force abilities.
I was wondering what the presumed skills and abilities were for the various classes and factions. Just like in todays schools you are expected to know certain things at certain levels, there are probably some basically understood skills that each class has. You probably wouldn't need to specify that you are skilled flying if you are playing a fighter pilot. It would probably be worth mentioning if your pilot was good at slicing code. I am guessing that the skills and abilities sections are meant to indicate the things that you know that aren't common to your class or that you are specially adept at. These are some of the things I presume are included for some of the various classes using a 3 point range. 1 - enough to help someone and not get in the way, 2 - enough to do what needs to be done as long as there are no complications, 3 - Good solid understanding though not master level. I figure these would be good for NPC's as well.
Pilot package - Flight (3 - favored ship type / 2 - other ships.), Ship diagnostics&Repair (2 - favored ship type / 1 - other ships.), Computer assisted astrogation - 2, Communication - 2, Sensors - 2, Space etiquette and regulations - 2, Zero G Movement - 2, star Ship history & identification - 2, 3D Space tactics - 3.
Bounty Hunter package - Conventional Weapon & Armor Use - 3, Code Slicing - 1, Information Gathering (low class) - 3, Stealth -3, Local Law enforcement regulations - 2, Intimidation & Bluff - 3, criminal psychology - 3
Military package - Strategy, Tactics, Logistics, Military History, Military Law, Xeno Psychology, Personal & Military grade Weapons & defense systems. (skill levels dependent on officer levels)
Jedi level power packages (I am unsure which powers would be standardly taught at which levels.)
Youngling/Neophyte - Battle Precognition
Padawan/Acolyte -
Knight/Warrior -
If anyone wants to suggest other packages or Jedi ability groups, I can add them to this post. Keep in mind that packages can be combined. For example a starship captain would include both Officer and Pilot packages.
