Zakel walked through the garden of the Jedi temple. He needed to reflect on his frustration at not becoming a padawan yet. He selected a large shady tree and sat on the ground with his legs folded. His robe ruffled against the grass and he pushed his left lekku back and wrapped the other around his neck. His eyes closed and he began to reflect. Zak thought of all the years he had spent cramming knowledge so that he may be found a fit padawan, all those years wasted. But were they really wasted, he thought, look at all the knowledge i have been able to obtain over the years and the experiance, it is a truly honoring experiance that very few get to have in they're lives.
He reached out with the force to the world around him, calming himself and cleansing of past troubles. Everything will work out, he thought, If i am ment to become a padawan then i shall. If not, then other things are destined for me. The young twi'lek meditated on his inner thought but was still totally aware of his surroundings.

The boy had finished off his meal, alone. He didn't want anybody to sit beside him, and therefore they didn't.
"Are you really gone?" He said to himself as he left the Cafeteria and entered the main halls. "Where are you?" He asked looking to see if his friend was finished. "Another day...I know he wouldn't just leave me here."
The youngling was calm now. He of course just needed some time. Entering the gardens, the robed boy would slow his pace admiring the beauty surrounding him. The human's close-to-white eyes scanned the area not being able to see the full beauty. The change in light caused bluriness. As he walked, he noticed another lonely boy. An interesting species; Twi'lek was a species that Kaim took a liking too. He did not know what he liked about them. Was it the color? Long strands coming out their heads? Their eyes? nose? lips? touch? Who knows. He thought of these species to be a 'cute' species.
The feminine boy approached the Twi'lek with a smallyet sweet smile. "Hope you don't mind if I join your stroll." He chuckled a bit before introducing himself. "Kaim Shepard, Human Initiate." He stated himself as they passed bushes.
"What's your name?"

The young Twi'lek's eyes opened as he heard another young voice. He looked around and noticed another youngling. Zak shook his head to clear his thoughts and faced the boy as he began to speak. "No I don't mind at all, I was just reflecting on a few things." Then the boy introduced himself as the two walked and Zak bowed slightly. "Zakel'vox, Aspiring Twi'lek Initiate. You can call me Zak." The two continued to walk down the path.
Zak took in a deep breath of the fresh garden air and adressed his new found company. "So have you been chosen as a padawan yet?" He asked, becoming a padawan was often a subject discussed amound younglings and something Zak was always intrested in.

Kaim smiled sweetly...very angelic like. "Pleased to meet you Zak." The boy replied as they continued to walk.
When the question was brought up, the thoughts came back to him. Was Arichi really chosen to become a padawan? Was it his intelligence? His looks?
"Err, well...I don't think I'm going to be chosen at all...I well believe I'm supposed to be a Jedi but I have not been chosen as a Padawan. What about you?" The youngling inquired.

"Sorry to hear that," Zak said with a slight frown on his face. "Well my thirteenth birthday is coming up soon and i haven't been chosen, I fear I'll be sent off to the JediCorps soon." His left hand absently touched the end of his lightsaber, all of his dreams of going on great adventuers with his master were about to come to an end and he'd be put into service as one of the younglings who weren't good enough to be a Jedi.
"I spent all my time here training as hard as I could to be noticed, but oh well." His hand left the hilt of his lightsaber and skimmed along a bush as he passed.

Kaim frowned at the idea his new acquaintance was giving.
"I wouldn't worry about it too much...A master could come at any given time. Maybe next time a Master comes, you should run through a training exercise to show your colors." A smile came to Kaim's face as he thought about it.
"I have faith in myself...I know I'm not being sent to that Agriculture place." A chuckle came from him.
"So tell me more about yourself...Any interesting history?"

Zak nodded as his companion spoke, "True, I suppose there really is no knowing when it could happen." He took his right Lekku and flipped it over his shoulder again. "My past is rather ordinary for a youngling. I was found when i was a baby by a Jedi Master and have been here ever since. I wouldn't have it any other way though, I've learned so much at the temple and would never have had such a peaceful life in the outside world."
As the two walked they passed the training area and Zak decided it would be a nice place to stop and chat. He sat on one of the benchs on the side of the pathway, in full view of the sparing circle. Two knights sparred, they're yellow and green lightsabers flashing as they battled. "How about you, how does your history go?"

As the other youngling flipped one of his long-amusing...ears? Was it ears? Hair? But it didn't look hairy. Poor Kaim was clueless. Either way he was rather amused by it. What did it feel like? Was it slimey? Scaley? Soft? Rough?
Continuing to listen, he sat down beside the Twi'lek and watched the Knights spar like a Tiger and Dragon. Sweetened vocals would ring, "Well almost the same as you. I worked on a very prosperous farm. Of course I went to school and all that. One day a Jedi Knight came to our house needing some tools to repair his ship...He sensed, well, I guess he sensed that I was gifted with the force...See I was born blind. The only thing now that steps inbetween complete blindness is the operation I got and the force." He cleared his throat as the Knights used force against each other. "I was brought here with my reluctant attitude but I love it here...I hope my path doesn't stop at the Agriculture place..." Kaim paused while shaking his head.
"That isn't my fate."

Zak watched the two jedi as Kaim spoke. Apparently he was much older when he was found, then Zak was. He noticed the youngling looking curiously at his lekku, it happened alot with people who weren't use to twi'leks and Zak held his left one out. "Their brains. My brain extends into them, thats why i have to be careful they're not grabbed in battle because they cause extreme pain." He answered to the unspoken question.
"How old where you when you were found?" He asked. The two jedi in the distance made a few last impresive blows before they both deactivated they're sabers and bowed, leaving the circle chatting as though they weren't locked in battle moments before. Zak's hand went to his lightsaber again. It wasn't a training saber like most younglings had because he was so advanced in his training and he thought about maybe challenging his friend to a friendly match.

[OOC: Sorry for late reply. I have fallen sick.]
The youngling blushed in embarassment. He had guessed that the Twi'lek knew his concentration was on the Lekku. Poor Kaim had only seen it in books. He strictly lived in a Human community with other species but they did not show up as often.
"I cam here at about Toddler age. Cried when I was taken away from my home, but my parents reassured me it was alright. Hopefully I can visit them." He smiled remembering his parents.
"I usually played around with our livestock. Did a bit of schooling at home." He said watching how the Jedi finished.
"Where are your parents?"

The young twi'lek's hairless brows scrunched when Kaim asked of his parent. "I never knew them. I was taken so early that i never knew them, never even saw they're faces." He then thought of his lessons and subdued his emotions. He stood and streched his arms up in the air and then grabbed his lightsaber. "What do you say we have a duel."

Sadness overwhelmed Kaim as he motioned his apology of mentioning his parents with a hand to rest on his shoulder.
When the offer of the duel came up, he chuckled a bit. "I say I won't be your best opponent...Being part blind isn't the best...I guess I could put into what I've learned." A smile came to him as he dashed over to the ring.
He pulled out his training saber, buzzing a blue light. "I'm excited!"
