Kaieri sat behind the desk of her apartment, one hand buisily writing away with a pen on a sheet of paper while the other was twisted into her hair, twisting the locks beneath her fingers. The young senator's mind traveled far from Coruscant, back home to Alderaan.
Despite how much she enjoyed the traveling she did, some part of her yearned to see Alderaan again. She missed the rolling hills and the lakes, and most of all her family. Her father was living in their old estate back on Alderaan, only with the servants around to keep him company. It made her wonder if he missed her as much as she missed him.
Sighing, she set the pen on the surface of the desk and lifed her eyes to look around her current home. Of course it was nice, but nothing like her home. She had small reminders of Alderaan, her mothers things of course and then the style of her apartment. She had taylored it to what she was acustoimed to.
A knock sounded at the door, reminding her of why she was still hanging around here. Senator Kail was coming to disuss some matters with her, some of which she wasn't entirley sure of what he wished to talk about. Mostly the secuirity of Alderaan she supposed. She had met him some years ago back on Naboo, and had come to get used to his company. Releasing hold on her hair, she cleared her throat and spoke. "You may come in."

Donald hadn't seen the senator of Alderaan in many years. He was exhausted from his trip from Corellia and was happy to be back in his old job. This was still buiness thought and he had to be focused. He knocked on her door and was called on. He found her behind a small desk. Her office definatly had a woman's touch, little trinkets from her planet littered the room. Donald wore his signature smile and greated her, "Hello Senator." He said moving his way towards her desk. They had a small agenda to cover but an important one. Alderaan was drastically behind on sequirity and Donald didn't want the Republic to have any weak links. "How are you?" Donald said with a smile he didn't want the meeting to be too uptight so he wanted to start on a lighter note. She'd probably be nerverous meeting with someone as high profile as himself so she'd more than likely appricate the informality.

She smiled, standing as Senator Kail came in. "Hello to you too Senator Kail. I expect you has a nice trip?" In some ways she felt a twinge of envy. He had went back to his home planet while she remained here. Well, it wasn't so bad on Coruscant to her, it was just something about Alderaan she liked better.
If Kaieri had to choose one thing she liked about Senator Kail, it would be the fact he wasn't based strictly on formailities. "I've been do fair enough. A little busy, but you know how that goes." Nodding, she sat back into her chair. "Please, make yourself comfortable."
She knew what he was here for, Alderaan was behind on their security, as known to all. Of course it was important, but she didn't see the need for so much defense. Alderaan was peaceful; no military bases or things like that. "Now, what was it you wished to speak to me about?"

Donald couldn't help but smile at her, "I think you know the answer to that." Donald chuckled and looked to her, "Your planet is peaceful and don't believe in war. The galaxy understands that and has respected it for many years." Donald said sitting down in a chair. Definatly from her homeworld, it was so comftrable if he was a little older he might have feel asleep. He readjusted his posture leaning forward a little bit, "But these Sith as they call themselves, They believe in power. They won't have any mercy on anyone, their terrorrists they'll sweep over your planet like a plague and burn it to the ground without a tear shed." Donald reliazed he was being fire and brimstone and tried to tone himself down a little,
"I don't want that to happen, and I know you don't either. All I'm asking is you to invest some of your money in some protection. I love your people like my own but they don't have any sense of reality in this matter. The galaxy is moving on, they need to move with it and get ready. The Republic might be at war, they will need to be on by the rest of the Republic's side."
Donald trusted her with many things but this was the one subject they could never agree on. She was too much like her father who desired peace and believed such weapons of war asked for war. He had been right Donald believed for a while, and to most enemies he was right. These Sith were a new breed without honor. He wouldn't allow Alderaan to fall, no matter what.

She grinned at his answer, her nose crinkling slighlty as it did when she was smiling her genuin smile. "I'll take that as a yes." Laughing softly to herself, she quickly brushed a stray lock of hair from her eyes. Her gaze shifted back to him when he began to speak.
It was true, Alderaan was probably too peaceful for its own good. She smirked a little as he seemed to lean back in the chair slightly, then corrected his posture almost as quickly as it had slackened. Her mouth twisted down at his mention of the Sith, a major problem. Her fingers twisted back into her hair, twirling as she listened to his words. Flinching slightly at his sppech, which to her ears, seemed a speech of certain defeat.
She nodded slowly, if she could have it her way, nothing would every happen to Alderaan, and she'd see to it that nothing would happen to her beloved home planet. Sighing, her fingers moved to rub her forehead. "Senator, I realize that Alderaan is drastically behind, but I don't see that we would need Soldiers at every entrance. I mean, it'd be rediculous!"

Donald smirked at this but didn't smile, "True, but you couldn't do much against their fleet. I know their stratagy and that is total domination. They would use Alderaan as a base to get to the other Core Worlds. It's far to risky! Without Alderaan on our side they'd have a base set up. Your planet has more military potential then you'd think. Just because the Republic doesn't use it doesn't mean the Sith has no use of it. I'm not asking for a guard at every door, but I'd like more than you have. You have little military and your fleet is less supplied than some refugee convoy's I've seen." Donald smiled and looked at his friend. She was so young and unscarred by the horrors of the galaxy. She wasn't Naive but she had much to learn of the evils of some people. He just wish she didn't have to learn the hard way. He hadn't had to his father hadn't been a postive man about that galaxy's shape. Donald hoped he didn't sound like he thought Alderaan was about to be attacked so he added, "This is just a good time to advance your military. You have a surplus of money and supplies. You would have little in the way of supporting such a move. Your people may say your being foolish but it's for their own good. In the long run they'll thank you I believe." Donald gave her a reassureing smile, he felt good talking to a young face. Everyone he talked to was consumed by greed and their own fears. She only cared for her planet. That was all a senator could be asked to do and she did it well.
