{ooc comments: 1: Are Jade and Damien still going to Fistfight? 2: I need one of the Sith Troopers or the Dark Jedi to take out Some of my Squad, There's a Full list in the Plot thread, but do me a Favor and Leave Kittie Alive. 3: When am I getting Aunna? This post or next? (will leave this Post open-ended so I can edit)]
Ducking behind various forms of cover, the grounded elements of Damien's Squad were ready to go. The Civilians were Nice and out of the way, leaving several targets. Lifting his hand, Damien pointed to Oso and one of the Riflemen, directing them to establish Coverfire, which they did excellently. Between the heavy Repeater shots and the light blasterfire, someone would have to be an idiot to stick their head out now.
That accomplished, Damien made eye contact with another of his Riflemen. "Kitty" was a Deveronian female, one with whom he had seen off and on throughout training and by now they had been established as a definite couple, causing some joking among the ranks, but all in good nature. Nodding to one another, Damien and Ellemaiare ducked around the corners that their Cover had provided and started to Race down the Corridor, Followed by the rest of their Squad, laying down coverfire and moving.
He had heard Sean's call, and suicidal as it might be, this was going to be the easiest way to get her out. Above them, on the Buildings, Tails and Itch were moving to Give Sean some covering fire, their Bodies exposed way too much for their own good, but their Squadmate needing the Assist.

Omi kept her head down as a rain of blaster bolts continued to whiz past over her head occasionally lifting her PDW over the wall before her and firing bursts of tungstun tipped Armor piecing rounds towards the unseen source of the blaster fire. Sunomi looked hurriedly at jade it was strange the entire world always seemed to blur and slow in combat. In and out she could here her breath as jade spoke. "Yes," she said strangely calm despite what was going on around her as she reloaded the magazine of her rifle. "The looked like special ops to me." she said calmly before hollering to one of her squad. "Tomka, Grenades!" The woman ordered as she glanced once more at jade. "Your not planning to go out there and fight Melee with those men are you?" Omi asked incredulously as the sound of grenade explosions filled the air around them. "I.." she was about to speak before the yelling of one of the rifle men caught her attention. "Ma'am soldiers on the roof tops." She glanced at the roofs to see the shadows of two armored forms moving along them. "Byonce, Bulc take them down!" she had to yell over the din of the fire fight before finally get back to what she was telling jade as she pulled a frag grenade from her own waist. "I won't let you do something stupid jade you understand me." she said tossing the grenade over the wall and waiting the explosion.

((modified from earlier this afternoon))
Aunna:
She had crept back toward the direction of the door she had rammed open, thinking to find her way through the alley there leading to the next street and find a new way around the situation when she heard Vex's voice. It wasn't exactly...physical...hearing however. This was in her mind, around her. She staggered backward slightly at the force of it, being caught unawares at the amount of persuasion behind the words that slammed against her mind. Wavering a moment she found herself unable to move, her mind and heart ordering her to do two completely separate things. Vex's persuasion began to win out, however, and she stood, taking several steps backward. Turning her foot to bring her about and run, she faltered another moment. That was the breaking point. She couldn't leave him...if she left, he would die...she just knew it...she didn't know how, or why, but she did...she could feel it.
Instinctively and completely unintentionally, her consciousness took hold of that thought, linking herself to him. Her heart opened toward him, offering him the light within, the use of what little ability in the force that she had. That happened in an instant, faster than the blink of an eye; however, the total process, from the moment she'd hesitated to the moment she realized what was happening once again, took far too long. The dark one was there before her now, threatening her. Lifting the blaster, she fired directly at his head without another thought and darted to the side and out of his saber's range once more.
The sounds of pounding footsteps behind her mad her tense, ready to spring into action, but at the moment, there was no way out. The dark one was between her and the relative safety of Vex, but she couldn't go forward...the bald man would surely cut her to shreds if she tried...yet behind her she heard the sound of explosions and weapons fire not far away. The rest of the Republics and the other faction no doubt. Aunna had no idea that these new pursuers were her own people, simply that they were coming up behind her swiftly, and she didn't have the time to look behind her...the bigger threat was before her.
Jade
Of course I do.
He replied with a sly smile. His finger triggered the small electrical generator in the center of the spear, and as she tossed her grenade over the wall, he patted her lightly on the head.
I wouldn't expect any less of you Sunomi, but I can handle myself.
He stated simply. As the dust from the last grenade cleared, he vaulted over the low wall and directly at the heavy gunner. He would be the slowest. He had been practicing since his little fight with Sunomi, where he'd first learned how it felt to allow the force to speed his movements, and he used that now. It wasn't much but it was enough to get him through the volley as the gunner was reloading. Thrusting his spear out like a striking snake, he caught the end of the weapon and shoved it upward, causing the man to reel backward as he tried to keep hold of his weapon.
Bringing up the butt of his spear, he broke the nose of the man. With a slight smirk, he knew it was over. Twirling the weapon around once more he impaled the man through the heart before using him as a shield from the rifleman. That was when he saw her, his sister. The man he had met before...the one he assumed was Vex...was looking extremely angry, if not a bit...concerned? He swiftly connected the dots. The way the man had reacted to his information only a day or two prior, the way he looked now...did he actually CARE about his sister's welfare?
Jade didn't take the time to ruminate on the twisted implications of this new information. Dislodging his spear from the heavy gunner, he ducked behind an upturned speeder....obviously something created by the various grenades being thrown around. Seeing his sister's reactions, Jade grunted. Dammit! Those idiot special ops men were taking too long!
Aunna! Run!
He shouted, not particularly caring who heard him. That was his sister out there, and he couldn't have her dying right in front of him because he'd let loose some maniac dark jedi who didn't have the brains to put two and two together. They looked alike for Force sake! It shouldn't have been that difficult! Why then, was the bloody dark jedi threatening her!?

The man thought he understood the intricacies of the mind, of the mental powers that their kind could control and manipulate. While this man may have knowledge and the sense...he was like any other Force-wielder that Vex had come across. Most underestimated the power of mind, other than using it for mind tricks, persuasion, and defense. They had their leaps, their Force-assisted power, and their acrobatics. Vex did not. That particular realm had never been opened to him, save for the speed that he could call upon. He'd had to learn to fight, to play this deadly game of dejarik, without those advantages. He'd had to develop his own.
The man had sensed the connection between himself and the Major. He wasn't slow, so it was hardly difficult to understand that she might be point of weakness to be used to Vex's disadvantage. Indeed, the scene played out that way...the Dark Jedi using the Force to vault up and around.
Despite his size and apparent bulk, Vex stopped on a demicred, boots twisting on the permacrete as his trail foot slid back, dipping him down and to the side in a surprisingly elegant move to avoid the powerful blow that came from above. It kept him facing his opponent, that trail foot sweeping around before it was drawn back up and the masked Jedi stood. Panic crept up as the other now had a clear line to Aunna...but that was when he felt it...
There was a problem when it came to the Jedi and their ability to divine the future. The gift was capricious, unspecific, and random. Many who used it began to believe that the visions were concrete, and could not be changed. Others did everything to try and change them, not knowing that their attempted actions were setting up the chain of events that would lead to the very thing they feared. Millennia of Jedi history was ripe with such accounts...tragedies of the Order, brought on by relying too heavily on a naturally unreliable gift. Vex had seen that vision. He would die, but Aunna would live. That was a trade he was willing to make...but he was not about to let someone do something to affect that outcome and possibly change it, putting her danger. Not even a well-meaning sniper and his group of commandos.
Vex was already in motion, spinning about as he shot forward, seemingly untouched by the rain of blaster fire and slugs that had begun to fill the street, until he was just out of range of the other Jedi. Those blades came up, intersecting the trajectory of that lethal sniper shot as he snarled and deflected the bolt back, gouging out a chunk of the building barely to the shooter's left. Black eyes stared directly at the spot the sniper lay...the droid wasn't the only one capable of discerning those that wished to remain hidden. The meaning of that stare was clear. MINE.
Distantly, he felt Aunna reaching out, trying to open up and offer some of that Light, groping for him through the Force with her unrefined talent, but he shut it off and forced her presence away. The Light Side would not win the day today. No...he needed to be the monster...to be as cruel and calculating as he could if he hoped to save her.
"Stand up", aka Pvt. Hadis Jorketch of the Republic squad, came out of an alley immediately to the side of Vex. He'd gotten the request for reinforcements and the command to assist and had responded eagerly. His repeater was already up, ready to fire. His finger was pressing on the trigger...and then he stopped. That leonine attention was turned to face this new threat, but it was an afterthought. The Dark Jedi had sensed the man's mind and his intent before he'd ever come into the open. His will had shattered the soldiers, imprisoning him, cutting off his mind from its ability to control the body...leaving him helpless. Black eyes stared into the soldier's, seeing that recognition...that flash of terror, as the man realized that he was helpless and about to die. That crimson blade flickered then, barely waving as it sent the man's head from his shoulders, leaving the rest of the body to drop to the ground boneless as Vex turned his attention back to the stray bolts whizzing by and the Dark Jedi stalking Aunna.
He was no fool. This one wanted him to make a mistake, to use her to keep him weak. He didn't know that Vex had already resigned himself to his fate, for her. "You want concentration then? Be careful what you wish for."
What he had sent against the man before had simply been a wakeup call...designed to get his attention, to piss him off, to make him come after Vex. It was a club at the door. He still wanted to test Praetor, however, so now he would learn. That club became a scalpel.
The Dark Jedi's mind was strong...all Force-wielders were, naturally so once they began to train. Not many spent as much time learning how to shatter that strength, to lay siege to it and bring it crumbling down. This one wanted to test Vex? Let him reap what he'd sown. His concentration focused on the bald one again, finding his mind and the seemingly impenetrable tower there. Snarling, Vex let his rage snap forth with all the power and lethal precision of the sniper shot that he' just deflected. That will focused, finding a weakness and stabbing into that mental armor, wrenching it open, violating him a he forced his way in. He pushed, attempting to burrow deep and use the mind to lock up the muscles, to spread agony through the nerves and overpower him. Even through the din of the firefight and the explosions from grenades, Vex paced closer, his mental words stabbing into Ramseye's thoughts. Do I have your attention now, coward? Am I focused enough for your tastes?

Ramseye had been walking towards Aunna when the sniper round from above had clicked away, and Vex had zoomed past him. At the time, The foolish girl in front of him had the audacity and actually must have thought there to be a chance of success to fire a blaster bolt into him. This of course was simply swatted away quickly and made Ramseye sort of grin. However, Ramseye had not expected the dark jedi to block the sniper shot for him, but regardless now that it had been done Ramseye was aware of the sniper and would now need to maneuver to a safer position or get closer to vex.
"Hmm... I suppose i should thank yo---" Ramseye fell to one knee, his hands flew to his head. His cerebrum was pounding, and his skull fealt like it was about to implode. His saber clicked off and rolled between his legs. he almost fell completely to the ground. He was in utter agony. He began to yell and curse aloud as his eyes tightened up and shrunk into the narrow slits as the pain grew larger and larger. Then Ramseye heard the words.... he heard vex in his head. "Son of a B--" he slammed his head into the ground trying to cease the pain that now doubled. Ramseye tried to calm down but his heart rate was racing at triple speed... he could pass out at any moment..
Then Ramseye decided to counter. He slammed his palms off his head and into the ground all around his knees. The force set loose like a wave of energy. The flood gates that Ramseye was trying to hold back were now completely open, and his power was now a full strength. He only did this when he was close to dieing or things had gone too far and he was no longer enjoying the fight. Force waves erupted all around him, and the place where he slapped his palms down now kicked up debris as if being smashed by an extremely heavy boulder. As if on command the wave of pressure that he was feeling on his head slowed and turned into nothingness. He'd pushed out Vex, and was deeply considering Projecting a force insanity delusion in Vex's mind and driving him utterly mad to the point of death, but now...... oh no. Now Ramseye was ready to send searing pain of burning light through Vex. Now Ramseye wanted one thing, and that was to completely kill this man. There was no more room for games. Fun time was over.... Death was upon Vex, and it would come fast and hard. Ramseye stood back up slowly, glaring into Aunna's eyes with a look that would send a shot of death into the mind of the person it was aimed at. When he felt he'd tortured her long enough he turned on his heal, pulled his saber into his hand, ignited it and be to step in the direction of Vex. "You are no longer a play toy, and it is very unfortunate that I am going to have to take this seriously." Ramseye took two more steps before stopping approximately a meter away from the other dark jedi. He bowed his head and in the new found respect he found for his opponent he said one final thing.
"I will not fall for that again, and I would suggest you try something new, and do it soon, or I will turn around and make you watch me kill her. The only reason for which i have stopped is because for now, you are far more interesting then you were a few minutes ago...Upon that I congratulate you. But now our conversation must come to a close, because, as Im sure you can now feel, I cannot seem to find a reason for which not to kill you... Farewell."
With that being said Ramseye walked forwards the last few steps closing the distance between the two of them and coming closer to an area that would be more difficult for the sniper to continue accurately firing upon them. Then as he neared a half meter, he lunged, bringing about his dual sided saber rotating it over his head, spinning behind his back and then making a complex, but very advanced sweeping technique at Vex's throat once again, but this time backed up with the force, and ready to make a fast counter sweep.

Watching his men fall around him and Before him seemed to change Damien, his body Stiffening as he watched a Spear impaling through Oso's heart, ending the man's life. He had only been 24. Raising his Rifle in one hand and Unholstering his Pistol with the other, Damien stood, Using the Rifle to Send fire over Jade's shoulder, Into where some of the Sith Soldiers had been hiding. With his Pistol, he put a shot right into the Ground between Jade's feet. Behind him, Kitty had Raised up, using what cover there was to take potshots at the Troopers across the way, and impressing him by detonating a Grenade that had been tossed...mid-air. When Damien Ran out of ammunition for his Rifle, he tossed it to the side, triggering his Comm to The remaining members of his Squad.
Remember Priorities, We need to Get the Major back he commanded to them, causing his men to nod. Just afterwards, the squad lost communications as the Gotal near the back lost his face to a pair of bolts. The men he'd trained with, had talked through home issues and discussed Re-enlisting. Tails was fine still, but the other rooftop scout had been felled earlier. This was too much.
Casting his gaze to Kitty, no, to Ellemaiare...Damien swallowed the saliva that had collected. His Suit was stuffy, he was sweating badly. His ears hurt from the blasts and the scents of battle, of Ozone, burned his nose. Shifting his pistol to another hand, he reached down and Unsheathed a long knife before running toward Jade, Pistol Firing at the Advanced Elements of the Sith force, his blade raised. He may be the Major's brother, but he had been a father to his Squad, and his last straw was snapped, burnt and Crushed into the ground.

Sunomi registered the sound of a body hitting the duracrete walkway as one of the republic soldier fell from their roof top perch and jade patted her head lightly before leaping over the low wall. "Sith's Blood!" She cursed as he ran. "Tomka give the admiral cover!" she ordered the massive mustafarian to lend his machine gun to put the troopers down as she pressed herself against the behind her as Rifle man just behind her position too a bolt in his visor melting the better part of his head and helmet.
Gripping the top of the wall she prepared to go over her vision and hearing shrinking dimmer and more narrow. "Byonce!" She called twisting to find her squad sharpshooter on the ground clutching her neck. "Bulc, see to byonce, Rifle men suppress the roof tops!" she ordered taking another breath and leaping out over the wall and sprinting after Jade's back. In her current focused state Omi didn't even notice the bolts zipping past her. She looked out almost upon him when a blast of red light brought the situation to her attention as her own visor vaporized under a near hit from a blast bolt and she dove behind a over turned table.
She turned around the end of the table to see jade spear one of the republic soldiers through the heart and declare himself to everyone within three or for miles at that level. "Jade!" she hissed to herself more than any thing else before standing up and firing her whole clip at one of the Republic Spec ops standing up before lowering again and reloading again.
((due to Tal's incredible stupidity, she deleted her post below this one, so it'll be added here...sorry for any confusion))
Aunna:
It all happened to swiftly, she had barely had time to process everything. Her single round had been blocked, this she expected. She felt an unmistakable ‘shut down’ that had to have been Vex…she just didn’t know WHY she had felt it, she hadn’t reached out to him that she knew of. Either way it had happened, but she wasn’t concerned. There was movement: Vex moved blocking a potentially lethal shot from the sniper and defending the dark one before her, a member of what she recognized as the Republic squad moved and was cut down by Vex, the heavy gunner appeared in her sight and a flash of blue and silver appeared before vanishing over a wall once more. Dismayed at Vex’s actions, she backed away further, preparing to make a dash down the alley that was to the side of her and just behind. Predatorily, Vex came closer, his black eyes flaming with anger as he focused on the dark one who came ever closer to her.
The dark one staggered then, slightly at first, then dropped to his knees clutching his head. Now she understood. Somewhere to the side of her, past Vex and the dark one, in the street, she heard her name called. Blinking she saw Jade there, much to her surprise and chagrin, ducking from the blaster fire behind a tipped speeder. Her best bet was with either her brother or the Republic soldiers right now. If she stayed, she would only cause problems, be used against Vex in this battle. Just as she was about to turn, the ground beneath her shook, startling her unbelievably and raising bits of the ground and rubble from what had been the wall of the cantina. The dark one was there on the ground, his palms down flat on the ground. He stood and Aunna could almost see it coming, she tensed her muscles, ready to flee, but it was too late. Time seemed to slow around her as he turned his head and stared directly into her eyes.
What he did was like nothing she had ever experienced before. At first it was pain, he tore her mental barriers down with that glare, she held little resistance to him despite her efforts, and he was not kind. She was left bare, with no defense, after this first assault, but he didn’t end there. Blue eyes widened as his dark presence invaded her mind, pricking at the most sensitive areas of her memories and instincts. For a moment she saw nothing, everything went black as her pupils constricted and her body froze completely. When she finally did see again, it wasn’t her surroundings that she saw.
A tall man with sandy blond hair stood over her, his hand at her neck, his green eyes boring holes into hers. He’d become more and more aggressive the past month, but those had only been verbal arguments. The previous night they had…made up…not that it was a first for the young woman, but she wasn’t exactly...experienced with such things either. Today had been another day, another fight, but it had escalated dramatically. Now, he stood over her, cursing, his hand at her throat, a blade in his hand, looking…for all intensive purposes…like a devil in human skin. She wasn’t able to breath and her vision was blackening. For once, the young Lieutenant thought she would die. She was alone with this madman and completely vulnerable. Shaking, she begged him to stop, tears streaming down her face as he continued to hold her against the bed. “…please…don’t do this!” she choked out. Snarling at her angrily, the man, Andrew, reached back with the hand that held the cruel looking blade. She saw it coming, the strike that he had in mind, but she wouldn’t allow it. No, she wouldn’t die this way, not yet, and not by him! Just as the blow came down, she shoved him off of her, the blade digging deeply into her shoulder.
During this torture, she had not only started to shake, but to plead like she had done with Andrew that night years ago. Finally, as the envisioned dagger sliced through her shoulder, she cried out, her voice echoing slightly in the alley. In mental pain, and through that physical, Aunna’s cry was nearly heart wrenching. As the dark one let her out of his grip, she crumpled, falling to her knees on the ground, tears streaming down her face as she curled in upon herself and shaking as she tried desperately to pull herself back together.
Jade:
His vision tunneled red as he watched what Ramseye did to his sister, watched as she pleaded unseeingly, shaking with some unknown fear, then collapsing to the ground. He was furious now. Red eyes flashed dangerously as he glanced coolly around the area. There had to be a way over to her before more harm came to her, she couldn’t defend herself like she was now. A grenade exploded mid-air several bolts flew over his shoulder, and one hit directly at his feet; Jade traced the source to the man he’d spoke to before, Damien, and a woman behind him. Cursing silently, Jade realized just what he’d done…he’d killed one of the sergeant’s men out of pure instinct. Feeling an odd twisting of remorse in his gut, Jade shut the feeling down immediately. Feeling sorry for what he’d done wouldn’t help anything, and it wouldn’t bring the soldier back to life. This needed to be stopped, the whole thing…the longer the two factions were here, the worse things would get. Glancing around for Sunomi, he spotted her not far away, her visor gone, ducked behind a table from the cantina that had somehow managed to get outside.
A bolt whizzed past Jade’s head and he was brought back to the reality of the situation once more, he couldn’t stay here much longer without risking his own life…and obviously Sunomi’s since she seemed bound and determined to follow him. Huffing at the insufferable woman, Jade noticed movement to the side of him. Damien was…attacking? Well, here was as good a time to relay information as possible….he just needed to lure the man toward Aunna if he could. Neither of them would allow harm to come to her, so the closer they were to her the better.
Sunomi! Regroup, we’re leaving soon…we’re not here for bloodshed. Go!
By the tone of his voice made it quite clear that he wished to be obeyed…and wouldn’t tolerate being second guessed well. Darting out of the ‘cover’ that was the speeder just as a blaster shot burned through the area he had previously occupied, Jade brought his spear to bare. Another of the republic troops entered his line of movement but Jade didn’t bother with him, bringing the butt of his spear up and down at a diagonal on the man’s shoulder, shoving him to the side and down out of the blaster fire. Just as the two men were about to clash, Jade darted to the side and around Damien, headed in the direction of Aunna.
The Major takes priority, Sergeant, and we need to talk. Now.
The words would only be heard by the furious man he had just darted around, but that was fine…they were meant only for him anyway. With that, time seemed to slow around him once more as Jade darted in the direction of his sister, skidding to a stop beside her and crouching down. With one arm he dragged her to her feet and pulled her further away from the battling dark jedi. She was obviously trying to pull herself together from what ever that bald monstrosity had done to her, but she wouldn’t have been able to do so swiftly enough to get away on her own. By the time Jade had stood again, after settling her on the cold ground at the edge of a building, Damien would most likely be there. Bringing his spear up to the ready, the red eyed man paid little attention to the red bolts that sizzled past him. There he stood, like some guard dog, ready to attack anything that came to close to his sister.

Vex knew what the manwas doing, barely containing himself from rushing the man as he turned that mental torment on Aunna. Vex couldn't defend her against that attack. He knew it all too well, but he had never worked to extend out his own will to protect another. Besides...he knew she would survive it. He had seen it.
That anger burst into icy fury that flash froze in his veins, fully cementing his will and resolve for what was to come. Those black eyes narrowed and, like his opponent, he opened himself fully to the Force, withholding nothing now. To do less would threaten her well-being.
As the man neared and spoke, Vex greeted him with smile, hidden behind the mask, but the leonine expression was reflected in those cold, reptilian eyes. "You are wrong, my friend, you will not have a chance to do so."
He squeezed his fists, testing his grip, tilting his head to the side slightly, seemingly unperturbed by the man closing in so near. There was a cold, amused certainty in his tone as he spoke again, "She is not the one fated to die this day."
He would let the man take it as he would, sensing the moment that the man would begin his attack. As the bald marauder spun his weapon around his body and launched forward with that sweeping, enhanced blow, Vex was already in motion.
Those blade flickered up to intercept the blow, but he wasn't about to test strength against strength. The man could augment himself with the Force in a way Vex could not match and he knew it. Cater to his strengths and Vex knew he would fail. He would fight his way...all the way to the end that he had already foreseen.
He was moving as he blocked, walking the blade along one and then the other to redirect the powerful blow over his head as he pivoted out of reach. Planting his trail foot, he pushed forward, leading with a blade to bat at the man's weapon and open up a hole for him to thrust his second blade forward.
The man had bolstered his mental defenses, but Vex let his own thoughts echo and taunt against those mental walls. I'm still here, my friend...but rest assured, one of us will not be very, very soon...

(( just so everyone knows... im just doing this illustrate an actual battle... make things flow more... If Anyone, especially vex wishes me to change /alter anything i will do so ASAP))
Ramseye foresaw the outcome of his opponents attack and so he whirled to the right. His saber came up and around his left side knocking into the two sabers vex had attempted to pierce through his defense with. Ramseye jumped back in a short hop, bringing his saber about into a jab ready position. He launched forwards once more jabbing his saber into the direction of Vex's gut, going for the kill shot which he knew would fail, which was the reason he held back.
Vex was undoubtedly a skilled opponent, and furthermore he was attempting to channel the force at the same level as Ramseye. Pathetic The saber jabbed forwards launching into vex's chest region, but vex spun aside and parried the blow into the ground, exactly what Ramseye had been waiting for. As the saber bore into the ground creating smoke and spark, and glowing hot permacrete, Ramseye smiled for a split second as if he'd just won.
Ramseye rushed forwards now that their saber were both magnetized to the ground by each others force, no one letting the other bring up their saber. He made a swift movement and enhanced his strength for a brief second then bashed his shoulder into the being that was Vex with the force of a freight train.
With the hit smashing into him, Ramseye was momentarily open, but that was not a problem for him for as the two of them moved away from each other after the impact of the last hit, Ramseye brought about his palm and sent forth a massive force wave hoping to knock vex into the building behind him, the one with the sniper above it.
The result mattered not for Ramseye suddenly felt a similar presence.. and it was close. He chanced a glance behind him as vex soared away from him, only to spot Rear-Admiral Borgonia. "What the hel---" Vex was up.. and coming.
Ramseye quickly returned his mental consciousness to the fight as a sweeping blow came right for his face, barely any time to block or parry, Ramseye had no choice but to fall away into a backwards roll, coming up quickly to parry yet another attack from vex. now they were in the range of the sniper.
Ramseye vaulted upwards and over Vex as a saber came up to meet him mid-flight only to be blocked and batted aside as Ramseye felt the force pulling his swings in the right direction. Without that, he would be unable to even slightly predict incoming attacks. Ramseye brought his saber out from around his back and spun it around in a defensive manner to cause vex to pace backwards a bit. Then, Ramseye ran forwards and brought his saber up to catch a swing from Vex, and hold it, now in a saber lock. There was no telling how this lock would resolve, but it needed to soon, for Vex's sake, and for the sake of Ramseye should that sniper try anything again.

((Sean)) Sean could only stare dumbfounded as Vex deflected the shot that would have finished his opponent into the clear skies above. This was just plain peculiar. Under normal circumstances, the sniper would have simply recalibrated and fired again but there was a reason the last one had been blocked. Sean knew there was more to this whole thing, and this proved it. No, he would wait, wait until more of this conflict revealed itself. Though above all reasons of exploration, there was one factor which prevented the sniper from taking a second shot. One that struck Sean deep and hard: the one who had been following him looked right at him. He knew Sean was there without a doubt. Thus, was he deigned to observe the slaughter around him. Helpless to assist as he watched his comrades fall to the enemy. He couldn't stand it anymore, there had to be something he could do. Below him, the duelists had once again moved into range. This was a battle between two factions, ONE of them had to be the enemy. But which one? Ayer, I want you to cross-reference those two with the Republic Databanks. Just give tell me which one to shoot and I'll handle the rest. ((Ayer)) The devastation was 10X as horrendous from the sky than down below. From his position, Ayer could see every bit of the carnage and destruction that tore apart the men he had fought with in countless battles. His comrades. It was just too much to comprehend for a living mind. Thankfully Ayer's was simply wiring and processors. It still hurt, but the droid didn't falter. Sean's voice crackled into his head. What he asked would be difficult, but was possible. Ayer swooped down a bit lower and zoomed in his optical sensors as far as they would go. This needed to go quickly so he focused upon whom he was fairly sure was the antagonist was: the Bald One. ACCESSING REPUBLIC ARCHIVES Ayer centered the bald one's face in his optics and snapped a picture. Immediately his processors whirred to match the image with that of a file in the archives. 011010010010010 10010010001010 10010001001101 10100100010010
SUBJECT UNKNOWN [/center] Ayer blinked in disbelief. Never before had the records shown someone as "unknown". However, this fact troubled the recon droid for only a moment while he focused upon the other duelist. SUBJECT IDENTIFIED: VEX PRAETOR
DARK JEDI, ENEMY TO THE REPUBLIC- CLASS I, ALL OTHER INFORMATION CLASSIFIED SECURITY LEVEL RED It wasn't much, but it was enough. Vex Praetor was indeed an enemy to the republic and needed to be removed. ((Sean and Ayer)) Sean, I have the numbers. We have an unknown on the bald one and a classified enemy of the Republic for the other, Vex Praetor. Then Vex Praetor is going down. Sean raised his rifle and squared in the sights on Vex's head. Wait, before you fire, I think you may be making a mistake. I spoke to Vex, he told me he intended to cause the major no harm.Sean hesitated for a moment. Ayer had a point, had not Vex made a move to protect the major? Perhaps there was more behind who was on what side.... Sean shook the thoughts from his head. Threat or not, Vex Praetor was listed as an enemy to the Republic. He must be removed. Sorry Ayer, but an enemy is an enemy. We cannot base our actions on the word of a Dark Jedi. We have our data and our orders. Sean raised his rifle once more and took aim. Sean, WAIT! I don't think- Ayer, enough. Give me the projection coordinates so I can finish this. But- You have your orders, fulfill them There was nothing to be done. Sean was correct, in the military an order is an order. ...roger that. Ayer locked onto the infra red beam and sent in the position adjustments to Sean. He only hoped this was the right thing to do. Sean adjusted accordingly to the recon droid's coordinates. Vex was perfectly centered in his sights. He just had to wait for the perfect oppurtunity- THERE! The two Dark Jedi had their sabers locked, each immobilized by one another. He had to act now, there would be no chance that the shot could be blocked. The sniper took a deep breath and pulled the trigger. The ozone burned as the thin beam tore through the sky. A split second later, the sickening sound of searing flesh met Sean's ears. No chance...

Damien
Skidding to a stop, Damien only took a moment to fire a series of shots, then Throw the Exhausted Blaster pistol at the Sith Unit's obvious leader in frustration before turning and Chasing the Enemy Admiral, his knife still in his hand. Damien didn't know what Jade did in the Sith Navy, but that was no excuse. Whereas he would likely be used to commanding a ship, to commanding others to do his work for him, Damien was an Elite Trooper. Trained to Hump hills with over a hundred pounds of gear, to Live off the Wilderness, to Get in Quick and Get out Quicker, he was at the Pinnacle of Physical Fitness.
Legs Pumping furiously, Damien Was soon No more then a Few feet behind Jade, and Dropping the Knife, he let animal Instincts take over, ones that had been suppressed by years of social conditioning. No, now he was an Animal, an Alpha male, and Jade was too. But Jade was a threat to his Pack, to his Unit, and Damien couldn't let that Fly.
Leaping off of the earth below his feet, Damien flew through the air, tackling Jade and taking him to the Ground with a oofing noise escaping Damien's lips as they Impacted. Jade wanted his attention? Fine, he had it now. Bouncing up, back onto his feet, Damien raised his fists into an Aggressive stance, one that someone with any training would recognize as a Wookie wrestling stance.
You want to talk? Fine. he muttered, waiting until Jade stood again to Charge, his right fist swinging out in a forceful hook. The blow missed, and it seemed to Damien that Jade might not be as inexperienced as he thought as he came back with an uppercut to the Soldier's gut. Fighting for Only a minute, Damien didn't speak, only listened, and once the minute was up, he smirked at Jade.
This is for my Squad he said, pulling his fist back and sending it right into the Sith Admiral's Chin, Sending the other Commander reeling.
Moving to some nearby crates, Damien took cover before turning the Volume on his earpiece back up. He regretted it. Shaking his head, he turned over the Crates and began to fire once more, picking up one of the Fallen Sith's Rifles.

"Bulc!" Sunomi practically screamed trough the comm unit of her helmet. "Pull the wounded back now. Everyone else bounce back, Tomka Cover fire." She ordered as rounds ripped trough her cover she cursed and rolled onto her stomach. "Jade!" she yelled hopping he would her her over the crack of rifle rounds. "Disengage!"
Omi sprinted as fast as she could across the ground towards tomka not even paying attention to if jade was fallowing at first rather praying that nothing hit her on the way. It wasn't until she rolled head first over the low wall next to Tomka that she realized Jade wasn't behind her. "Tomka." she started nudging the hulking mustafarian in the side with her elbow. "Get back to the Gunship I'll cover you."Placing her PDW against her shoulder she stood up and fired at the remaining republicans as he ran back finally dashing behind cover as Omi's magazine ran dry. She quietly pulled out her pistol and took several deep breaths while waiting to see if jade would come before squeezing her eyes shut, muttering a little prayer and sprinting off back across the small plaza heading for where she last thought she saw jade.

Jade:
No sooner had he turned than Jade was blind sided by the far more muscular man, Damien. The Borgonia brother never had been one for muscle, it has always been his cunning, speed, and agility that had kept him alive during a melee battle or sparring session. This wasn’t to say that the red eyed man couldn’t pack a punch, he could…especially once he knew where to hit a pressure point…but being hit by the human version of a battering ram, even if expected, was never conducive to gaining the upper hand in a fight of any kind.
The impact struck Jade hard in the gut, causing him to lose grip on his spear as both men were sent sprawling on the ground, a rush of air and a distinct groan came from the wiry man, his glasses sent flying off his face. Cursing inwardly, Jade felt the other spring off him. Picking himself up of the ground swiftly, Jade growled angrily. So this man was an animal after all it seemed. Snorting slightly at the words Damien spoke, Jade dodged the right hook, allowing it to sail past him by inches as he sent a boot flying toward the other’s side. It connected, but at the cost of receiving a powerful uppercut to the stomach. Grunting, the rear admiral leapt back for a moment before retaliating with a strike as swift as a snake’s to a spot just below the ribs, using his fingers as one would a knife, aiming to bring pain as it hit the liver.
Listen well….a month from now….there will be a sith fleet headed for Mon Calamari…
Jade barely dodged another blow, this time to the face. His eyes were starting to sting badly from the smoke and particles the wind was blowing into them, allowing Damien to land a solid strike to his already injured shoulder. As it was wrenched backward once again, he felt some of the muscle rip slightly and a bit of his rotator cuff seemed to crack…he couldn’t be sure. Hissing, Jade ducked another punch.
It’ll be headed by Admiral Barj…I don’t know how many, but they’ll be there to occupy. Mygeeto will be a distraction for the larger armada headed for Mon Cal…remember that.
Jade held his shoulder for a moment and glared at the man, making it obvious that the talk was over. No sooner had this been done than Damien had sent a strike straight for his face. Lifting his head to allow the blow to land on the bottom of his jaw as opposed to his nose, Jade reeled backward, dropping to a knee. For a moment he thought he felt something beside him, and a new weight in his pocket, but being slightly dazed, the red eyed brother couldn’t be sure, so he ignored it. Gaining his bearings again, he stood and darted toward his spear, grabbing it on his way past and heading toward where he’d last seen Sunomi.
As he sprinted down the alley, his eyes caught on the woman, and he thrust out the butt of his spear to halt her progress.
Sunomi…with me. We’re leaving.
He ordered, only slowing long enough for her to catch his words as he passed by, then headed toward the gunship, his injured arm held tight to his body to keep it from jostling about too much. As he ran Jade couldn’t help but think that it was a shame they couldn’t take Aunna with them…he had a feeling she’d have been better off with him than the Republic, but…that was where her allegiance lay…she had to be left for them to care for now.
Aunna:
She had been grabbed, hoisted to her feet and nearly dragged to a new place where she had once again been set on the ground. This served to help rouse the woman from her overwhelming fear, the arm that had wrapped around her had been oddly familiar, and she could almost tell it was her brother. This had further helped to shake her free of that soul gripping terror that she felt. This was stupid! Andrew wasn’t here! It was all in her head! She had to snap out of this, if only to survive…she couldn’t die yet, there were still things she needed to do in her life! Unbidden, the thought of Vex came to her mind. He was here as well, he had been fighting to save her, hadn’t he? She hadn’t left for a reason…what had it been?! That fear had clouded every thought, making her mind slow and confused. That was when her spirit stepped in, wild and unbridled, making her bristle like the thorns on a rose.
No!....I refuse to be afraid!
Her mind cleared with that thought, as she shoved that horrible memory to the back of her mind once more, and she began to move. Clearing her eyes of the tears that blinded her, she swiftly took stock of her surroundings. Jade and someone who seemed to be from the Republic were…fist fighting?...near her. That was her first move. All of this was going to end badly, she could just tell…something didn’t settle right, something was horribly WRONG. Pulling out her necklace, she swiftly unclipped it and pulled off the badge resting on it. Gripping the badge in one hand, she replaced the necklace back around her neck. Jade was sent staggering backward and dropped to his knees dazed just before her. She came up into a crouch and dropped the badge into one of his pockets silently. Aunna had been about to say something to her brother when the unmistakable crack of a sniper rifle was heard.
Blue eyes snapped toward the sound as her head shot up, her entire body going ridged. The red line streaked toward the battling force users and she was on her feet and moving, grabbing the knife Damien had tossed aside and the blaster she had dropped along the way. Aunna was shocked out of her movement as she watched the bolt pass through Vex, a cry of emotional pain tore from her throat, her heart seeming to stop in a painful lurching motion inside her chest. Time seemed to stop around her for a moment, her eyes full of a deep pain that even she couldn’t yet explain or admit to herself, those blue orbs glittering slightly with fresh tears that threatened to overwhelm her.
No. He could still live through the shot…he just needed a chance to get out of here alive! He needed to be able to get away from that monster before it cut him down. Anger and pain boiling up in her, she turned and ran down the alley and around the building, keeping to the shadows and as out of sight as possible. Dodging what blaster fire there still was, and keeping low, the Major managed to make it around the building until she ran into ‘Kitty’. The woman tried to stop her, but Aunna was single minded in her endeavor and wouldn’t be stopped…not now.
Out of my way, I need to find that sniper, and your commander, where is he?
Her voice was stern and cold, leaving no room to be questioned or second guessed…Aunna didn’t have time to talk, and she couldn’t risk harming a Republic soldier…things were already bad enough. If she was seen aiding Vex, and she knew she would be, she would most likely be in VERY big trouble. The devaronian woman shook her head and shrugged, then stepped out of Aunna’s way as she pushed by. It was good to hold authority sometimes…now was one of them. Ducking another few lingering rounds of blaster fire from the Republic soldiers that were still firing on the retreating Sith, Aunna finally made it to the opposite side of the building and into a position where she could see how the fight between Vex and the bald one was progressing….it wasn’t looking good. She had to bide her time, watch, wait for the right moment, then time her attack perfectly for this to work at all….she just hoped it would….

Vex ebbed and flowed like the tide as the battle raged on between himself and the other Dark Jedi. They flowed against each other, that strength versus speed, but neither seemed to gain the upper hand, then Ramseye locked both of their blades to the ground and Vex found himself slammed back by a shoulder and then thrust further back by that blow in the Force. He tumbled back across the ground, barely keeping enough sense of mind to flip his legs back, guided by the Force. His boot heel slapped solidly against that wall, a far preferable thing to having it be his head.
Rolling onto his hands and knees, he flipped his head back, throwing that dark mane out of the way behind his head to look for the next blow coming his way. It was without reason, however, for the man wasn't looking back at him...he was looking in the direction Aunna had been. Fresh anger made his blood molten and seared away the discomforts from being battered around. Snarling, he was on his feet again, a blur of motion coming towards the bald man again with renewed fury. He would not touch her again!
His original intent was just to do all he could until that moment came...the death that he had seen predicted for himself. As he fought, however, it became more. He didn't want to just die...he wanted to drag this one down into the black of the Unknown with him. He wanted blood, wanted an ounce of pain for every nuance that he'd seen the man exert upon Aunna. His focus and drive narrowed until his entire world and existence was focused on this Jedi and bringing him to an end.
He swept his blade around, already knowing it was going to be blocked and he pushed forward anyway as the man tried to roll back defensively, keeping up the battering maelstrom of blows against him. Every bit of that connection with the Force was channeled into predicting this man and finding the weakness that would bring about his death.
As the man swung, Vex arched back, the humming tip of that blade millimeters from the machinery at his chest as it passed by, his thoughts of defense gone. He knew he would die and thus, his only resolution was to drag this one down with him, vision be damned. He launched forward as soon as that sweep was clear to take advantage of the opening.
It was a credit to Ramseye's skill that he kept parrying that continued assault and brought them to a standstill, muscles straining in that lock. Black eyes stared pitilessly into the his opponents before he extinguished his blades.
Ducking low beneath swing of the man's weapon as it no longer had anything forcing back against it, he drove in with all speed his connection could draw from the Force, slamming his shoulder into the man's solar plexus. Spinning away from the man's blades, he'd throw out his elbow to crack against the man's temple.
The snap hiss of those blades would be heard again as they battered against that dual-bladed saber, no rest or quarter given to this man...and then he saw it, his body flowing into the perfect sequence of moves.
As that blade came towards him, his own flipped around, the crimson blade held backward in a reversed grip. His other blade flickered out as he dropped the weapon and took the remaining saber in a double grip. He caught Ramseye's attack as he bent his knees and thrust with both hands up and twisted, guiding that strike up and over him, forcing the Marauder to extend himself forward with them both side by side, facing the same way.
Vex dropped low, forcing Ramseye's blade to the ground and pinning it, his one hand already moving from the hilt of his blade to reach, fingers scraping along the permacrete, already knowing that discarded lightsaber would be there, and it was.
It flared to live, violently purple.
Ramseye's blade was pinned, his whole form off-balanced and his back to his enemy. There was no sweeter or more perfect time to strike...all he had to do was thrust. He didn't have to die!
The surprising elation of that thought broke him out of his perfect concentration and allowed his connection to branch out...feeling for the first time the other threat that vibrated much more strongly through the threads of the Force.
"No!"
He tried to move...but he knew it was already too late. He tried to maneuver that violet blade, so ready to strike, to instead defend him, but it was too late. As he moved, he felt it and staggered forward.
The bolt had slammed into him with the force of a maglift train, sending him spinning and stumbling forward. How he remained on his feet, he didn't know. He'd lost his grip on the lightsaber that had pinned Ramseye's. He felt numb...the damage too great, his senses overloaded and unable to process it.
Still holding his violet blade, he stared at it mutely for a moment before looking down at his chest. The bolt had punched a hole through his side and out the front. Sparks were crackling from his life support system and smoke crackled from the cooked circuitry. It was almost surreal as he looked at his side, seeing the seared wound that passed through him. Distant memories of his last nearly fatal experience flickered in his mind.
He couldn't feel his arms or his legs any more...He saw the saber in his hand, but couldn't feel it. He watched as the blade died out, his hand losing grip on it. Then the ground got closer as he dropped to his knees. He wanted to stay up...to deny this all, but his body wasn't cooperating fully. He managed to turn enough, looking up to where that sniper had been, black eyes reaching out as if to ask why.
He fell onto his side, rolling back a bit. Now he could see the street where the gunfight was taking place...and he could see Ramseye, the man he'd almost been able to kill.
Aunna...

Ramseye was batted back and stopped to bring a hand to his mouth, wiping away the blood that was now filling his mouth and washing over his teeth. The battle seemed to have progressed in the wrong direction.. and Ramseye couldn't understand how he could possibly be losing.
he skidded to a halt after being slammed back by a shoulder and dodging a saber attack to his head. he jumped back and evaded another swipe. then he force jumped over the dark jedi and made a swipe for the head, and missed. "Damn..." He dropped quickly in an attempt to make a cleaving kick at the mans legs, and knock him to the ground... it was no good. Vex's saber came down to meet his leg and attempt to make it part ways with the main body. "No.." Ramseye's eyes open wide as he saw himself about to lose a limb, but then he force pushed himself into the wall, flying with great speed backwards slamming his back and neck into the wall. A loud grunt followed.
Ramseye got back up to his feet slowly, but Vex was on him again... his rage had to be the answer. There was no sound way this man could best Ramseye in single combat... he was being fueled by a greater source then Ramseye. That had to be it. Rage, power fueled by emotions.... emotions which Ramseye couldn't truly feel right now, for there was no reason to be truly as angry as vex was.
Rsmeye sent a volt of lightning out of his palms as vex neared catching him off guard. But Vex already had his saber up and and was able to counter briefly before Ramseye sprung on him like an animal. Ramseye brought his saber to bear and swatted away Vex's. Now Vex was on the defense.... and Ramseye was batting him back into the open.
Ramseye briefly stretched his awareness to encompass the possibility of that sniper firing again, but when he did he underestimated his opponent... and that would cost Ramseye his life. Vex sortied forth and locked sabers with Ramseye again.. but he dropped one of his own sabers. He was holding off Ramseye temporarily with one saber, but then he dropped and picked up the saber and launched it forth into Ramseye's gut. Everything faded to white in Ramseye's vision.... was he about to die... he was really going to die. "im..poss...ible.."
But then.... as Ramseye was about to lose hope, and as the saber was about to part flesh, a snap hiss popped through the air and a crimson beam past straight Through Vex.
the red beam was thinner and at this angle seemed deadlier then his saber. Vex teetered back a few steps..turned his head slightly and gazed up at the sniper. It seemed that vex was finished... for he then plopped downwards and careened into the floor. His face smashing into the permacrete. Ramseye fell to his knee next to vex.. groping the ground for his saber which he'd dropped when he thought he'd died.
He found the handle and drew it back into his hands, activating it. He exhaled very heavily, then slowly... as if taking in every nerve impulse as it occurred, he rose to a stand, now fully erect. He walked forwards, once more wiping the blood from his face. he made a slight smile as his eyes locked with those of Vex. He used the force to pick up his opponent in he air, gently. there was no reason to do any more damage, only to kill him. He had provided Ramseye with a good fight, and now Ramseye earned some respect for his soon to be vanquished foe.
He teetered forth dragging Vex along behind him in the force until he reach the wall, allowing Ramseye to take a small break. he inhaled softly then exhaled the same. He leaned vex up against the wall, then moved forwards. He knelt down and looked into vex's eyes. He almost felt sorry for the man. "Its quite unfortunate we had to cross blades, you are a most skilled fighter, and relinquishing you of this pain is the most i can do for such a worthy opponent. Perhaps in a another life, we would have been friends, allies even. But your time upon this planet has expired. Farewell Vex Praetor, the only man who has made me actually believe that I was capable of dieing. You have reminded me that I'm human, thank you and farewell."
Ramseye brought his blade about, still holding Vex in place with the force. He brought the blade up to Vex's neck so close to the face, he was certain Vex could smell it. the carbon gas pluming into the air around the saber. Ramseye brought the saber back ready to swing it at the neck. Once Ramseye had reconciled with the need to take this man's life, he swung forward, swung with all he could muster after a fight where he almost lost his life.

…Vex.
Aunna watched, horrified, as the man lifted Vex off the ground with the force like some grotesque puppet. It was surreal to her the way the monster was being almost gentle with her dark angel now…it brought the righteous anger bubbling up in her, and it was all she could do not to go rushing into the scene and attempt to kill the bald force user. The Major knew very well that she should be afraid, terrified even, of the man who, by luck, was left standing, but she wasn’t. She was angry, furious, and above all else, she was afraid for Vex’s life. Even as she crouched there, behind that wall, Aunna had to root herself to the ground.
Hold on Vex…
just a bit longer…
It was almost time to spring, she could feel it echoing through her. Watching as that bald demon placed Vex against the wall she felt something else echoing through her mind…something long since forgotten. It was soft, so quiet she could barely hear it, but she could hear it….there was music. Aunna didn’t bother to try to stop it…she didn’t need to, she didn’t want to…it was strengthening her somehow. The dark tone, the words, the beat...it pulsed through her veins and coursed along her muscles.
Just a bit longer…
There wasn’t much time left. He was talking…the idiot was talking to Vex. Aunna snorted slightly, her blue eyes glinting like daggers and narrowed to near slits. That light flared within her again as she watched the saber blaze to life. Her muscles bunched like a cat ready to spring on its prey, and she leaned forward slightly, gripping the blaster and dagger. He wouldn’t die today…and certainly not if SHE had anything to say about it, Republic be damned.
Another reason Another cause for me to fight Another fuse uncovered Now, for me to light My dedication To all that I've sworn to protect I carry out my orders With out a regret A declaration Embedded deep under my skin A permanent reminder Of how it began No hesitation When I am commanding the strike You need to know That you're in for the fight of your life…
The words echoed through her, and her body coursed with power and strength. There was little doubt that the reverberations of the song, however silent it was, could be felt through the force...but by then it would be too late for anyone to do anything about it. Too long she’d been idle while things had been happening around her, but no more. She wouldn’t be denied now…she was still a factor in this fight.
The time to strike was now.
As that saber was brought up to strike, to sever Vex’s ties to this plane, Aunna was up and over the wall, time slowing around her as she spun the dagger into a back handed grip, ready to slice and rend.
You will be shown How I've become...
Indestructible Determination that is incorruptible From the other side A terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible Take a last look around while you're alive I'm an indestructible Master of War!
The words taunted her, just out of reach of her power. She was hardly indestructible, but Aunna didn’t let a little matter like that stop her…Vex wasn’t going to be murdered in front of her eyes when he’d been trying to save her! The force had connected to her through that song that taunted her at the back of her mind, just out of reach, but it was enough.
Blue eyes glinted, steely, deadly...determined.
If looks could kill Ramseye would have been dead ten-fold by the time she was over the wall. The blaster hadn’t even been consciously aimed, but she fired it rapidly and accurately at his arm and torso. This was the distraction. She wasn’t a long range fighter, she was a melee fighter, and Aunna was going in for the kill. Planting a foot, she pivoted under his blade as it would come up to block the blaster fire, sliding slightly and allowing her weight to settle on her tailing leg. This brought her into position.
She snarled at him in a feral manner, her golden brown hair glinting in the evening sun, blue eyes flashing dangerously, every inch of her like the deadly, protective, predator she had shown herself to be...something to be feared when her wrath was incurred. Lean muscles had already been tensed, the huntress ready to face down her larger foe to protect what she cared about. There was no sign, now, of the kind woman that the Major could be, and often was...this was someone who, once pushed too far, could prove to be anyone's worst nightmare. Despite this, there was no darkness about her, but instead a brilliantly flaring light. The lean wildcat that was now before the marauder wasn't simply striking out of anger, but to protect, to aid...to save a life she had deemed worthy of saving.
The dagger flickered outward with lightning swifness and she lashed out at Ramseye’s ribs, his liver was there and she intended to have at it. The blade sunk deeply into the skin between his ribs, nearly to the grip of the dagger. She was between the dark jedi and Vex now, but she wasn’t done…oh no…the muscles of her arm went taught and the sickening rip of flesh was heard as she dragged the dagger through his ribs and out again. That blaster was useless at this range for shooting, so she improvised. Flipping the weapon around, she brought the back of it toward the man’s head. It wouldn’t hit most likely, so she instead went with another knife strike to the gut, her body twisting just enough to allow her arm to position the blade for an upward jab to the diaphragm. If it hit, the monster would be downed…most likely for good…because if he fell, he would have little chance against her.
Vex….go. Now.
Her thought most likely wouldn’t make it to him, his barriers were too strong, but she had to try…she couldn’t fight this monster for long…already she could feel the speed and strength the echo of that song had given her ebbing away.

Lying there in the rubble and dirt of the ground, the visions of the future and his present coincided. He saw her face there, the pain in her eyes and along her features. He almost imagined that he could hear her cry of despair, but that was most likely just his desperate imagination trying to put some meaning into his life. He saw her turn then and dash into an alley and, despite the pain, the agonizing feeling of his own death creeping up, he felt at peace.
Then the monster rose up from his crouched position, saber back in hand and lit. Black eyes glared impotently at the man as he gave Vex that slight smile while wiping the blood from his features.
He felt the weightlessness, his limbs almost boneless from the shock of the wound. His weapons clattered to the ground from numb fingers. He was lifted by the Force, it seemed, for he felt no hands holding him. There were times he envied other Force users and their ability to use it for such measures. It wasn't long before he found himself pressed against the wall, pinned like an arthropod on a board.
Moved in such a manner, his life support system already damaged, it didn't take much for that mask to come off, dangling against his chest. Vex's pale features were spattered with flecks of blood that had surfaced from the further damage done to his lungs. It had speckled the interior of that rebreather and some of that crimson had come back to paint his features. Despite his predicament, it gave his sharp, angular features an even more feral, predatory cast.
As the man spoke, Vex allowed himself a smile. It was both mocking and self-deprecating all at the same time. He gave Ramseye the chance to speak his piece before shaking his head. He was cognizant of the proximity of that blade...could feel the air cooked and burnt around it, but it did not frighten him. He had already been resigned to death before they had ever crossed blades. His voice remained strong, even if his breathing was strained by the failing life support sytem. "You do not....understand the true concept of pain... Dark One. I mastered the physical long ago...it is a fleeting, ephemeral creature. I....told you...one of us would not...remain here. We all...pass on to the Force."
It was then, as he watched the man prepare to strike, that he felt it. There was another disturbance in the Force...in his minds eye he could see the threads of it leading to them...leading to a change in the eventualities. He found himself surprised and buoyed by, of all things, hope. It was then that he found the most surprising realization of all.
He did not want to die.
He did not know that it was Aunna that was changing the balance. If he had, it may have changed his actions. As it was, all he felt is that there was a chance that he might live and he took it. All that he had left, he mustered and as Aunna struck, so did he. "Do you even know how to kill me?" He would taunt the man with a forced, imperious tone.
His hand flexed and he poured everything left of him into it, the black Force Lightning arcing out to crackle against the man with all that was vicious and hateful, striking at the same moment as his unknown savior. It did not have the insidious lethality that most such attacks would have. such projections were difficult for him, but desperation could prove a powerful motivator.
Released, his Speed would sing in his veins as he threw himself away, reflexively scooping up his fallen weapons as he went. He had strength, but it was already waning...his broken body failing despite his newfound will. He'd make it to the next alley before collapsing near a sewage grating.
Dragging it open, he was about to tumble inside when he looked up, glancing out the alley from where he'd come. Surprise filled those black eyes as he saw Aunna and the realization hit him that she'd been the one to intercede on his behalf and stop that blow.
Aunna, idiot woman...
He tried to get up, to go back after her, but his body rebelled and he crumpled again, hissing as that pain enveloped him. He was helpless to help her...

Ramseye inhaled softly for the last time before he pushed himself to swing, swing away and vanquish the man known as Vex, but in a foolish move, Ramseye had closed himself off the force an therefore could not sense the threat screaming towards him as he arced his blade.
It came so quickly, in all honesty Ramseye had no outs... no means to escape the attack that was about to slam right into him. In the fraction of a second it took for him to realize what had transpired it had already occurred.
A blast of breath left Ramseye's mouth along with more spit up of blood. his eyes tilted downwards and he saw the woman, the girl he'd connected with Vex, and then saw with jade. It was strange seeing her in this position, behind a blade piercing his gut. Out of reflex and anger He moved his free palm to slam her with all his might, to break her in pieces and snatch away her life with his bare hands. Not even then was he uninterrupted. First, he was taken aback even more by the wretching pain that was sent through his body as this woman jerked the knife out of his chest, with enough force to cause him to reel backwards and and curse in agony, strewn across the floor. Second, as he went to once more smite her, he felt the heat of the blood begin to trickle out of the wound.. and then he was sent flying backwards by a crack of force lightning.
Vex had still been conscious.... of course he had. When Ramseye had spoken to him before achieving his killing resolve, The man had shot back at him with snotty comments and just Ramseye want this to end even more.... But now, Vex had taken his opening, and fired lightning into Ramseye when he'd least expected it..
All of the prior events stacked and Ramseye felt the climax of the pain as he was rocked by the force the wall he crashed into fired back at him. He slowly stood up,but then winced for a second. His vision blurry, his eyes blood shot, He knew he couldn't keep going. Something internally had been punctured... and if he didn't leave and soon, medical treatment wouldn't even matter.
Ramseye took one fell step towards Aunna, and brought about his palm, using the force to send a crashing wave of force towards aunna. As it would reach her it would pick her up from where she stood, and it would crash her into a jagged pile of debris and wall. with this, and the speed at which he flung her he was going to kill her, but as he spotted vex fleeing, his attention momentarily broke and he was sure when aunna had finished her trip in the air he'd her something crack. That was enough for him... enough for him to go on for now. He was not done with either of the two... the girl or the dark jedi. He had committed both to memory, and now.. should he ever find them, he'd finish what he'd left undone here.
Ramseye turned and limped away from the battle, away from the troopers with rifles, and away from that crazy woman. He limped off into darkness to find medical attention, for he was not yet finished, and he would not let this be the end of him.

...direct hit...sir... Ayer circled above the fray watching forlornly at the slaughter below. The shot had struck Vex straight through the side just as he was about to finish off his opponent. Congratulations, you've successfully prevented the death of what was obviously a pure evil Dark Jedi by killing one who wanted nothing more than to protect the major. The droid's voice seemed even colder than usual.
Sean winced at the remark. Enough Ayer, as soldiers of the Republic Army we do not base our decisions on moral right and wrong. We do what we are told based on confirmed information. The other man may have had just as malicious intentions as Vex Praetor, but we had no intel on him whereas the other was a confirmed enemy of the Republic. We did what was required of us. Sean knew that Ayer didn't believe a word he was telling him. He had programmed the little droid himself to be able to question authority in the name of morality. There are times when there is no data at all to reference and as a marksman you are still required to choose your targets wisely. That's why Ayer had been programmed to be able to think in such abstract ways, and why he didn't agree with him.
The truth was that Sean didn't believe this himself. He was required to follow protocol, but had both of the Jedi had no files he would have taken out the bald one, no second thought about it. Still, protocols were protocols and an order was an order. He had carried out his duty as a Republic Marksman. Our job is done Ayer. Return to my position immediately and lets see if we can't get the Major back into our hands.
In that case Ayer almost spat back through the comlink, You may want to do something about the OTHER Dark Jedi who is now in the process of finishing off your target. No doubt he'll move on to Borgonia next. Face it Mu'haro, we've done nothing. In fact we've put the major in greater danger than she was before!
Normally Sean respected what his recon droid had to say, but Ayer was starting to get on his nerves. Nonsense, there is one less threat than before. The man we elimated was dangerous, the Major is better off with him dead-
That's not true and you know it! I talked to that man, I've been watching his actions, he wants to protect the major. He cares for her! Loves her-
ENOUGH AYER! What do YOU know of love?! NOTHING! You're a droid! A lifeless automaton! Love is something YOU cannot ever comprehend!
....... Nothing but silence over the air.
Ayer...I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to take it so far. Lets go, lets get away from this awful place. Our mission is complete. Sean lowered his rifle and began to slowly pack everything back up. He had been watching the conflict below through the scope of his rifle. The ferocity the Major showed against the other Dark Jedi was astounding. She moved as if possessed by some feral spirit, her strength fueled by rage, fear, and.......that recon droid never ceased to amaze Sean.
The droid hesitated a moment before speaking. He was still shaken up from being yelled at, but he'd been through worse. Still, it had been enough to distract him from the happenings below. What do you mean? The Major is still in danger, she must be assisted.
Don't be so naive and think for a moment- no, better idea, look down. Below, Aunna had just drew the blade from the Dark Jedi's chest, the latter being simultaneously thrown back by a blast of Force lightning. Vex and Borgonia were not enemies, they were working together to defeat a common enemy. But there was more... There is now undeniable evidence suggesting that Aunna Borgonia is in league with a Dark Jedi and known enemy to the Republic, the sentence for which....is death.
Sean waited a moment for the meaning of his words to be processed by the droid. Ayer only remained silent but the sniper felt he had put it together as well. Come Ayer, if we're lucky, there were no other witnesses and she may yet live- Sean was interupted by an audible crack as Aunna was smashed into a wall by a large shockwave of the force. He cringed and turned away. There was nothing to be done, he couldn't risk being caught assisting a traitor to the Republic, even if the traitor had been the very person he had been tasked to save not 6 hours earlier. There's nothing to be done Ayer, lets go home.
....understood Mu'haro..... Ayer circled in low and landed alongside the sniper. The droid switched off his internal comlink and spoke to him directly, I don't believe there were any witnesses who could testify Borgonia's treachery. She may still have a chance....if she survives the encounter with the Dark Jedi...
Sean nodded, I also saw nobody. She'll be alright, I think I saw the Dark Jedi flee the fight, he was badly injured. As for Vex, it would seem the shot may not have been lethal. After all, he seems to have enough strength to blow a grown man off his feet with a bolt of lightning and crawl into some gutter for safety. Whatever the case, neither are in sight now. As long as we stay quiet, Major Borgonia can still be protected. Sean climbed from his vantage point feeling slightly heartened that things may have turned out better than he had expected. Though the team had lost many brave members, the Major was safe and there was no proof showing her as a traitor....
...except the hidden recording device in Sean's helmet.

Hidden Recorders hear a lot of things on the Field of battle. They can be used to gather data on how, or why a battle went bad...or good. They can be used to record the Republic's Soldier's Actions and Speech...and in this case, to Record a Case of Treason. Helmet Recorders are Always patched through a Commanding officer, and in this squad, that leader was Damien.
Upon hearing Sean's argument with his Droid, he sighed. These things could never go simply, could they? Now The Major was a Traitor, The Dark Jedi they knew was a Good Guy, the one they didn't was the Bad guy. This was Just too much for him to tolerate anymore. He could see through Cameras on the Sides of What was left of his Squad's helmets that the Major was...alone, for the most part. Squad he said, Swallowing back a gasping breath as Ellemaiare and Tails were the only ones to Report back, Approaching him through the smoke. Sean was somewhere out there too, But he could stay hidden, that was fine.
On me, we have something to do yet Damien said, straightening his body as the two females fell in behind him. An entire squad, Gone in the span of a Few moments really, Leaving four out of the Original ten behind to mourn their passing...and for what? For who? Moving towards the Alley, Damien Tossed his Rifle to the side, Pulling out another Blaster Pistol and checking the setting...it was on Kill.
Approaching the Major, Damien hardened his heart before speaking to her. Major, are you alright? he asked, his voice digitized by the helmet that he pulled off now and Handed back to one of his Squad. Offering a hand to her, the Sergeant waited for her to rise before continuing.
Major, under the UCRMJ, Article 106A Sections One and Two, you're Under Arrest for Treason, Espionage and Attempted Espionage and Providing Care or Console to an Enemy Combatant. You have the Right to Remain silent, Anything that you Say can and Will be used against you During Court-Marshal. You will be assigned a Defensive Lawyer. As he spoke, Damien took Aunna's Arm and Turned her, as Gently as possible, Using binders to Restrain her. Medical Care will be provided on Ship. Major...I'm Saddened and Disappointed... Tails, Call for Pick-up on these Coordinates... Sean, Regroup, you're falling out with us.
