I was just wondering if Geonosis was allied towards any particular cause at the moment, or if it is considered more of a fringe planet? I'm more curious about the Arkonis Sector in general, which encompases Tatooine, Ryloth and Geonosis among a few others, but the allegiance of Geonosis in particular may effect where my character is born.

there is next to no info on the planet prior to the trade federation. As there is only one species of creature only really there ( 99% of the species were killed by flash floods or rogue commets) who live underground, i guess it won't "belong" to anyone, instead most likely just be a rock, with no real decent resources at this time.
Most of the Arkonis sector would be under the thumb of the hutts anyway.
