Grawn sat on a rock atop a cliff overlooking the vast plains of Dantooine. His yellow eyes glared sharply behind his mask as the wind picked up and swept the long grass to a swaying motion, making the seemlingly endless stretches of grass seem like a sea of green. The Dark Jedi didnt care much for the scenery however, he wasnt even paying attention for he was deep in thought. With Lady Renanta's leaving of Dantooine, he was left to his own devices, something he was pleased with. Being in the presense of power was rejuvinating but at the same time, tiring.
Standing up and hopping off the rock, Grawn closed his eyes and let the dark side fill him like a creeping warmth in his body. He was searching for the fabled crystal caverns of Dantooine, as the name depicted it held within its depths countless crystals for various things. Before the Sith invasion, the Jedi had used the crystals for their lightsabers and the Dark Jedi planned to do the same. A pair of crystals would need to be found before he could begin rebuilding his blades, he somewhat missed the grips of them in his palms.
Well, he thought, opening his eyes and looking down at his cyberarm, he would be only to feel with one now. The tips of the claws on the hand still had dried blood from the doctor that had implanted them on him. Smirking slightly, he felt the Force nudge him in a direction that would surely be the place he was seeking and with that, he used the Force to retrieve his tattered cloak from where he had laid it on the rock.
Wrapping the cloak around him, he began his trek towards the nudge in the Force.

Grawn seemed a blighted spot on what would be considered a peaceful scene. He was the black paint stain on a beautiful carpert so to speak as he walked across the grassy plains. However, the Dark Jedi wasnt even aware of his surrondings at the moment, his body was on auto-pilot as his mind was deep in thought. Though of course, if an animal such had one a while ago had attempted to harm him in this state, he could snap out of it in an instant and lash out at his opposer.
A hound beast had dared to snarl at him, threatening to attack as he passed by while in thought. The growl had brought him out of his train of thought at a intense moment so as soon as he was out of it, he was filled with intense rage and lashed out with Force lightning. All that was left of the beast was a seared black corpse left to any scavenger that happened upon it.
Through the Force he was being driven to the caverns he sought but while his body did that, his mind was else where. Questions that demanded answers seemed to arise at every second he breathed and the Dark Jedi did his best to try to quell the annoying thoughts.
How to become more powerful, a being respected as much as Lady Renanta and her Lord. All Sith craved power and he was no exception. Should he consider himself a Sith the Dark Jedi thought for a moment but dismissed the thought, he would discover his ranking in the Siths caste sooner or later. For now he needed to focus on the task at hand and he could feel that he was close to reaching his destination.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Grawn's yellow eyes saw that he stood at the bottom of a hill and not to far, was the entrance to a cavern. There, the Dark Jedi thought smugly and started to approach when a creature suddenly came out of the darkness of the cave entrance.
The "thing", the only word able to describe the creature, was of a yellow color and had the shape of a insectoid. It had four legs and what appeared to be a sort of stinger appendage coming from a rising from its body. If Grawn had to guess, this thing would be what the farmers and natives of Dantooine referred to as kinrath.
No matter, no lower life form would prevent him from his goals. He continued toward the cave entrance and as he did the kinrath perked up, its body directing itself towards him. Suddenly, without warning, the beast ran at him, its stinger aimmed at him.
Growling, the situation annoying and uncomfortable without a lightsaber at his side, Grawn conjured the Force with his hand and latched it onto the creatures body, then bringing his gloved hand up. The kinrath was stopped immediately and started to hover in the air, its legs flailing in obvious confusion and outrage. Smirking slightly, Grawn clenched his hand thus ordering the Force to crush the being he held prisoner.
As always, the distinctive noise of breaking bone arose and the kinrath went limb. Satisfied, Grawn flung the beast into the grass and began entering the cavern. His senses were open, he had no doubt there were more kinrath in the damn cavern and it would do him no good to be ambushed in such an enclosed space. His boots clicked softly as he walked the stone, his senses open and his body ready for any surprises that were in store for him.
Grawn could feel them, the crystals, in the cave even from where he was and this only steeled his resolve more as he determinedly walked more into the cave, noticing that the insides were illuminated by something. He walked for seemed like hours, until he turned a bend and stopped dead in his tracks.
Before him was a large cavern room, the walls were covered in crystals of all color. The center of it had a small pond and his discovery would've been more satisfactory IF it wasnt for the fact that it was also the lair of several kinrath.
All of them swiveling to meet the intruder.

The beasts hissed at the intruder, Grawn backing away slowly but not out of fear. He was aware of his disadvantages at the moment and if running was required he would do it, if only to gain distance so he could unleash the Force. A larger, more vibrate colored kinrath sat in the pool of the chamber, she was most likely the queen of the kinrath and as she rose the rest of the kinrath rose with her and all at once, the Queen let out a shriek.
Kinrath began to appear in large numbers in the room and Grawn growled as they all started to advance towards him. Wretches! Nothing would stop him from his goal, NOTHING! Quickly, he gathered the Force and let loose a storm of Force Lightning, the blue energy lancing outward and striking the first line of the creatures, some of it even bouncing back into the second line. While the shocked creatures fell dead, their kin leaped over their body and continued to come towards Grawn.
The Dark Jedi realizing staying still would get him no where turned to leave down the passage, however a kinrath had come from behind him when he wasn't paying attention and leaped at him as he faced it. The stinger nearly hit him but Grawn gripped the appendage in his cyber claw, the kinrath struggling to loosen his grip. With strength fueled by the Dark side, he spun around and threw the kinrath, the appendage ripping from it and the body flying at the advancing kinrath. It struck several in the front, causing them to collapse but only for a moment but that was all the time Grawn would need.
He ran down the passage he had came, kinrath dashing after him. His mind was racing, how the hell would he get out of this?! Their numbers were immense and if he used the Force to the point of exhaustion he would be left open to attack. Turning a bend, he ran into a chamber with large stalactites hanging from the ceiling high above.
Perfect, he thought and as he reached the exit of the chamber, he turned to the kinrath as they entered the room in pursuit. Gathering the dark side around him, he gripped the hanging rock with the Force and with a roar, brought them down at a high speed. The result was an explosion of rock against kinrath, some being squashed immediately, some being pierced by shattered rock made by the crash and it greatly reduced the number of creatures that were after him.
A smirk came to his face, he was such a fool for thinking such things could kill him! He had the Force and the Dark Side, while they had nothing! However, his smirk was short lived as suddenly a pain ripped through his back. A kinrath had somehow gotten behind him and its stinger was now in bedded in his left shoulder. The arm went numb immediately and Grawn roared as he grabbed the stinger with his cybernetic arm, tearing the stinger out and facing the beast.
The Queen stood before him and before Grawn could react, it kicked him backwards, the Dark Jedi losing grip on the stinger. Nearly losing his footing, he was able to regain himself and dodged a strike from the enraged mother. He had killed nearly all of her hatchlings and hive so his death was all that she sought as she continued to attack the weakened Dark Jedi.
The poison that numbed his arm wasn't lethal but it crippled one of his arms, the only one able to conjure the Force with. Grawn would have to fight the beast off with his metal arm if he was to survive and just as he had stated before, no beast would defeat him! Ducking underneath a stab, he darted toward the mothers torso and returned with a stab of his own, his metal claw fingers digging into the kinrath's soft flesh. Enraged further, Grawn had to quickly get out of under the kinrath as it attempted to kick him away. The Dark Jedi backed away slowly as he assessed the situation, looking for anything to give him an advantage, anything to finish off the Queen. Locking onto a piece of fallen stalactites he jumped for it as the kinrath leaped at him, the Dark Jedi hitting the ground rather roughly and grabbing ahold of the large point rock.
The Queen quickly ran at him, but as it did, Grawn gripped the rock in his metal hand and launched it at her, aiming at the wound he had inflicted earlier. The strength of the cybernetic didn't disappoint as the rock pierced its body like a arrow, buring itself deep. Blood spurted from the wound and the Queen crashed to the ground just a few feet before Grawn, the exhausted Dark Jedi watching the kinrath as it slowly died and he could sense he had pierced what could have possibly been the things heart. Hissing quietly, the body went limb and the Dark Jedi rose from the floor.
He viewed the bodies of the kinrath he had decimated with the hanging rocks and the blood and gore from them with dis interest. Looking down at the dead Queen, he kicked the things body and left the chamber, returning to the original chamber. There were no kinrath to hamper him this time as he sat upon a small rising of rock at the end of the chamber. The eggs that dotted the chamber was of little concern to him as he breathed deep, his body feeling exhausted.
His cloak torn further from the attack by the Queen and his left arm numb from the poison of her stinger, Grawn closed his eyes and took another deep breath. He began what all wielders of lightsabers would do and opened his mind as he began his search for the crystal that would remake his lightsabers.

In his minds eye, they all gleamed with light of various colors. The gleam seemed to pulsate, as if the crystals themselves were living hearts.
How fitting.
Grawn sat on the rock, time passed him with ease so he really didnt know if it was day or night nor did he care. He listened intently, his minds eye going from one crystal to the next, looking for the crystals that would call to him more then the others. While the stones themselves were different colors, all of them had a different beat to them. Some weak, some strong and oddly enough some not at all but as he scanned the room, he made an odd discovery.
One of the many kinrath eggs that dotted the room, results of the Queen he had slain eariler, was beating. As he examined it harder, he saw that it hummed on a quicker pace then all the others, leading him to believe he had found what he was looking for but being an egg how could it be a crystal.
Unless...
Grawn opened his eyes and jumped down from his perch, striding towards the egg. As he neared it, he raised his cybernetic hand and without hesitation, drove his sharp claws into the eggs fleshy shell. There was little resistance as his hand burst into the core of the egg and as he grabbed onto something hard, he ripped it out.
A large red crystal sat in his hand and as he picked it up with his organic hand, he felt the vibrations of power. This will do he muttered softly, looking down at the remains of the egg. A half developed kinrath could be seen through the hole, most likely to die now that its protection was broken.
Looking away in disinterest, Grawn gripped onto the crystal. The thing was about the size of his palm, so with the right tools, it could be made into two seperate crystals for two lightsabers. Odd though, the Dark Jedi had always thought red crystals had to be made, not found generally in the wild as he had just found them. He dismissed the thought, either way he now had suitable crystals and as soon as he got out of this cavern, to a more comfortable place, they would be tuned and made the right size.
With his goals clear in his mind, the Dark Jedi pocketed the crystal and began making his way out of the cavern. Soon, his blades would be remade and a new era of justice would be doled out by them.

Mist stumbled across the field, his body ached and his mind waned. Tremors of anguish coursed through him, with each step he wished to die even more. Everything had been taken from him, weither by the sith or by his actions. He couldnt return to the Temple, they would find out and he would be cast out. Taking a few more steps, he fell to his knees and let his head drop, his blank eyes, eyes that hid the torment of his soul, stared at the ground. Master , he whispered, holding back tears that he refused to come forth.
The serpent whispered within him, his negative feelings so great that it took form in his mind. It laughed at him for his weakness, it laughed at his loss. Gritting his teeth, he punched the soil out of helpless rage. What was he to do?
Robin had been his crutch, she had held him up for every failure. When he had failed at building a lightsaber, her words had encouraged him to be better. When he would lack in lightsaber training, she gentley guided him to the path of perfection. She had been everything to him. But now..
He held back a spasm, his emotions going wild and his eyes tearing. Robin was gone. As the padawan looked up to the endless blue sky, lightning cracked and rain began to fall. The sky darkened to gray slowly and soon Mist found he was being soaked by water. As if nature itself felt his anguish and reacted in turn.
Standing up and drawing his brown cloak up, Mist began to walk once more, struggling to retain himself. He was lost, mentally and physically and he had no idea what to do.
He needed guidance.

Grawn stepped out of the cave and found that the weather had changed. Rain poured at a decent rate, which would make sense. Such plains couldnt be maintained without the rain to nurture the grass. Drawing his black hood, his yellow eyes looked up to the gray sky and he sighed. Rain was uncommon for him, Korriban and Tatooine never had it, so this was a rare moment for him. But he realized he had something to do and dismissed his moment of peace, continuing out into the wet plains.
As he walked, something happened. The Force nudged him, like a faithful hound nuzzling ones leg to follow it. Grawn, his curious expression hidden by his mask, looked to the west. The Force indicated to go that way and as the Dark Jedi closed his eyes and expanded his mind, he knew why.
Something powerful was on the move, a being of some sort. Feelings of sorrow grazed Grawn, coming from the being in question that the Force had told him of. Without further ado, he began to stride that way, the rain leaving his mind and the power source becoming his focus.
As he came over a hill, Grawn saw the power and was rather surprised. A man walked across the plains, his brown cloak dampened by the rain. Cocking an eyebrow, the Dark Jedi could only wonder what was the meaning of this. Why had the Force told him to come to this boy? Anguish and sorrow oozed from the man in an aura, and from his stumbling steps it was clear he was in pain, mental more then physical.
Masking his presense, Grawn smiled slightly and walked towards the man. The Force didnt bring him to something or someone for no reason, he would investigate further. He would find who this man was and why he was here, if he was a threat to Grawn however, he would be removed.

Mist continued to walk through the rain, his emotions held barely in check. But as he walked, something didnt feel right, something was amiss.
He was being followed.
Turning around, his eyes went wide as a man stood before him. Covered in a black cloak, his face was hidden by a odd mask, small glyphs etched upon its surface all except the right side. A yellow eye looked down at him from a cracked hole made in the mask, though it didnt look like a natural hole.
Spinning around quickly, his lightsaber came to his hand and his saber was ignited. The snap hiss joined the noise of the falling rain and was joined by hissing as the rain struck the burning bar of blue plasma. Did the sith send this man to finish him off? He would be taken so easily!
Letting the serpent take hold, he hardned himself and went into a Shien stance. Giving the man little time to react, he swung to take the mans head.

(Mist has given me control of his character for this post)
He dodged the first swing easily, the boys attempt at Shien laughable. Clearly he had been trained for to long in its usuage as Grawn sidestepped another swing after the first failed to hit. He could sense the boys frustration and his fear along with everything that fueled him. Anger, rage and fury, just like Grawn himself.
It went for a few minutes, Grawn dodging, ducking and sidestepping the boys swings when the Dark Jedi got tired of it. Ducking once more underneath a swing, he grabbed the boys wrist with speed enhanced with the Force and gripped it tightly. Crying out in pain, the boy dropped his saber as Grawn applied pressure and the blade shrank away, the hilt tumbling from the his hand and onto the wet earth.
The Dark side surging into his arm, he lifted the boy and brought him face to face with his mask.
"You lack skill, boy. However, the Force has brought me to you and there must have been a reason. I sense your pain and loss, you let it shine through your shell with little restraint", his words were harsh but he wanted a reaction.
The boy's face twisted in pain, he stammered out a reply. "I'd be willing to talk if you put me down. I can feel my shoulder beginning to dislocate." Without a reply, Grawn dropped the boy, the youth able to catch himself and stand fully.
Anger welled inside him at this mans ignorance. "What do you know of pain, of loss!", he whispered harshly, glancing down at his lightsaber. The man could most likely take him out if he attempted to get the saber, so he would need to do it when the man least expected it.
Grawn's laugh echoed from his mask as the boys angered reply came to his ears. "I know MUCH of pain, young one", he chuckled, pulling back his cloak sleeve to reveal his cybernetic arm. "Loss is also known to me, however that shouldnt be your concern", he continued, pulling the sleeve back down and bringing his claw before the boy menancingly, "it is convincing me your life is worth keeping that should be your concern."
Mist's eyes went wide as he saw the mans arm and claw. This man had survived his own arm being taken and now threatened to take his own. "Take it. I have nothing to live for now, for everything is gone", Mist replied grimly, making direct eye contact with the man.
Grawn's eyebrow cocked in interest. This boy didnt fear death, even though he had fear coiled around his heart like a snake. "Bold words. What is your name, boy". It took guts to overcome ones own fear and if this boy would stare death in the face then he was a rare thing in this galaxy.
Mist continued to bravely stare at the mans face, awaiting for a strike that would sunder him from this existence. The man would be doing him a favor. "Mist", he replied, not sure why the man cared to know. Rain continued to come down as the two spoke.
The Dark Jedi nodded. "Why do you seek death, Mist. What would make you stoop to such a level. You possess a power unlike most beings in this galaxy. I can tell you have trained as a Jedi, but it is clear you have fallen from their oh so glorious path." Grawn put his hand, his natural hand, on the boys shoulder, "Your possess the Force, i can sense it plainly as day".
Mist didnt cringe when the man put his hand on his shoulder but he did cringe inside as the man spoke of the Force and the Jedi. "I did once belong to the Order but i have done things that i would never be given reentry. I would be thrown out and stripped of everything, what little is left of me that is"
Grawn laughed. "The Order is to good for you. It is corrupt and serves only to further the evils of the galaxy while the good suffer. Be glad that you have liberated yourself from them, for it is clear you do not belong with them. The Dark side is far more powerful then their teachings give credit" the Dark Jedi let go of the boy and folded his arms across his chest. "That is why you fear their retribution. They would realized you have learned the truth, something they have tried to harbor from everyone"
Mist frowned as Grawn explained his fear. It made sense, all of it did. "The dark side...is corruption", the boy replied, still unsure if he wanted to believe the man's words.
Grawn smirked behind his mask, the boys heistance was to be expected. The Jedi dogma wouldnt be shaken off easily. "Corruption? Lies. The Jedi have abandoned you here, just as they abandoned me. They claim themselves arrogantly as protectors of the galaxy but if that was so, would you feel the pain you do now? Our pain is because of them"
"Join me Mist. I will help you gain power enough to never feel fear again. We will help reshape the galaxy with the Sith", the Dark Jedi continued, feeling the boys heistance dissappear.
"The sith are the reason for my pain, i will never join them!", the boy growled, his anger spiking. How could this man expect such a thing of him? The bastards took Robin from him and thus ruining his life forever.
Grawn smirked. "I speak not of the military morons that proclaim themselves sith. I speak of the dark side users, beings that held this galaxy together in ages past. The Force users that the Jedi fear will bring truth to the galaxy that they have fooled for so long."
Mist thought deeply upon Grawn's words. He had two choices, wallow in his anguish, waiting for death to take him or he could learn power and prevent the Jedi from further ruining the galaxy, having a purpose once more...
It wasnt a hard decision.
Going to a knee, caring not that his pant leg got wet, Mist bowed to Grawn. "I will join you, if you teach me these powers you speak of". The Dark Jedi nodded. "Arise my apprentice. I will teach you all that i know. We will be the wave that washes away the Jedi filth from our galaxy. First we must get to the nearby outpost to acquire a few things then your training shall commence."
The apprentice rose and bowed once more to his master, "Then let us go...my master."
With those words spoken, the master and apprentice walked away towards the direction of the outpost, their desinties now enterwined.
(My apologizes if it was rather spacy and chaotic. Had this planned out for awhile and just wanted to get it out of the way)

Lightsaber parts werent the most common of things but surprisingly enough, Grawn had been able to acquire all the parts from local vendors, enough for two. Amusingly enough as well, when the Dark Jedi had asked where the owner had gotten them, the response was usually the same. The Jedi Enclave ruins.
It would seem even in death, the Jedi failed to do what they claimed.
Grawn glanced at Mist as the pair walked, the formers fists clenched in anticipation. Soon, soon his blades would be once again in his grasp and he could resume his mission. "Tell me, my apprentice. What was the cause of your downfall", he asked simply, noting the spike in emotion that the question generated within his newfound apprentice. The boy would become a powerful warrior, if only he could rein in his emotions.
The Dark Jedi did well to cover his cybernetic arm with his cloak sleeve as they walked about the town. He had heard rumors of a dead doctor found and his patient missing, supposedly at suspect. Grawn thought nothing of it however, only thing to do once his sabers were remade was to reconnect with Red Fury on Korriban, however getting a transport to do that first...would be difficult.
Sticking his hand inside his cloak, Grawn felt his fingers touch two smooth stones. The crystal he had gotten from the Crystal Caverns earlier before had been easily forged into two seperate crystals with a cutting laser borrowed from a vendor. Everything was in place, now all he needed to do was fine a secluded spot to begin his work. Constructing a lightsaber took several hours, at least from scratch with the basic materials. He remembered how it was done to the last detail, so all he needed was concentration for all the parts to come together as he used the Force to do so.
Soon.

"My fall..", this apprentice muttered to himself as he and his new Master walked about the Dantooine outpost. When had he fallen? On Hoth or on this planet during the Sith invasion? His thoughts drifted to his old master and as he felt tears wanting to appear, he shattered those thoughts with a iron fist of hate. No more weakness, not now, not ever. "My fall was on the planet of Hoth, me and my Jedi master were sent to disperse Dark Jedi gatherings but we were nearly cut down. I slew them in rage for what one of them had done to my master", Mist replied cooly, glancing at Grawn to see if he bought it.
All that was there was the mask and Mist silently cursed his foolishness. He hoped Grawn didnt press the matter, he didnt wish for his master to know of his late masters relationship with him. He would never regret his love of her but it would perhaps look weak to this new being whom held power that Mist wished to obtain. "Master my apologizes but i must ask", the apprentice decided to toe the line to see how far he could go.
"Why do you wear that mask and what happened to your arm?"
