Katar's Corner [/b][/size] Hmm. I don't know how much I'll use this spot for an actual blog, I think I'd rather just have some space to jot down some notes and such. Do people actually read these things anyways? xD If you do happen to read this, you're welcome to leave comments or just chat a little if you'd like. Because of major computer error, I lost most of my stuff, including all the *ahem* "research" I did for my Shistavanen Wolfman character. I had even started making up some history for his home planet. But alas, 'tis no more. I think I'll post my notes here in this 'lil corner. I'd prefer not to have to re-write everything a third time - as if this wasn't taking me long enough.

So, let's begin.
Shistavanen History[/u]
Uvenan Expansion: -Exploration of the planet (Uvena Prime) -Development of language and cultures -Gathering of the Uvenan Tribe -Creation of civilization
Vassal Period: -Organizing a civilization -Establishment of a governing body -Rewarding those loyal to Uvena Prime, the Chieftain of The Tribe -Appointing vassals -Establishing clan properties -Creation of a caste society
Feudal Wars: -Uvena Prime takes the title of Emperor -Conspiracies unfold -Loyalty vs Rebellion -Vassal Lords expanding their personal territories -Entangling alliances -Vassals vying for rulership vs Vassals defending the Emperor
Modernization: -End of the Feudal Wars -Ushering in a new and civilized society -Intellectual discoveries -Creation of new technology
Colonization: -Exploration of the Uvena System of planets -Securing control of and colonizing neighboring planets
The Role of the Vonn[/u]
Uvenan Expansion: The Vonn clan served the first Chieftain Uvena Prime loyally as scouts, spies, and even bodyguards.
Vassal Period: Thanks to their generations of loyal service, Drak Vonn was named a Vassal Lord and given authority to rule over a certain region on behalf of the Emperor.
Feudal Wars: Drak is forced into battle when a fellow Vassal Lord makes a daring move against the Emperor's regime. Drak's son Nyu joins the fight and develops Nyu Xaiku.
Modernization: The Vassal Lords still loyal to the Emperor (and the original Tribe conglomeration) finally "negotiate" and end to the Feudal Wars. The Vonn retreat from the public eye to carry on their traditions and pass on their family history in relative seclusion.
Colonization: The small Vonn clan decides against pursuing involvement in the colonization of the Uvena System, deciding instead to remain on Uvena Prime where they can focus on maintaining their clan's highly individualized nature.

Notes on Vrill
Birth to Eight Years of Age
Vrill was a robust infant, larger and move active than his his siblings Talvi and Roark. He also learned how to pull himself up and walk earlier than most pups. As was custom, his mother Sylrasi was the primary caregiver during this phase.
As toddlers, Vrill and his siblings were inseperable little terrors, always romping around and trying to sneak up on people. Khryyn and Sylrasi used this playful enthusiam to begin teaching them the baseline feats all Vonn must learn.
As expected, Vrill, Roark, and Talvi were competent in hiding, taking falls, and climbing nearby trees by the time they became five years old. This was also the year they started their official schooling. Their government-approved educational system utilized computers and holograms as well as comlinks for grading. Vrill was a good student and a fairly quick learner. As he aged though, Vrill would come to find most required subjects to fall on the boring side.
Vrill couldn't wait to begin training in Nyu Xaiku. In fact, Khryyn let his son start a lilttle early (at 7 and three quarters years old) because it was distracting him from his school studies and affecting his grades. His instruction began with learning how to use acrobatics and the ability to take falls to his advantage. Vrill's training went well, and he had the basics of evasion down by the time he turned eight. That was when his full-on training in both Shukai and Ka'takku began.
