Traveling inside the ship, Ross was constantly contemplating just what it would be like to return home. Of course, he had no memories of the place being as he had been taken to the Order at such a young age, but there was a sense in him that he would feel at home there. Despite not growing up anywhere near the planet, or maturing on it, he always felt a kind of loyalty to it being as that was where he came from and where his only family lived. That was another thing would excited him, but made him anxious as well. He supposed he would have to avoid contact with his family, even if it would make them very happy to see him again, so that he would not feel tempted at all to protect their well being in the future. Strong emotions like that only lead to the dark side, he believed.
Upon he arrival, Ross stepped out onto the streets of theed and the magnificence amazed him completely. He'd heard that it was a beautiful city, but he did not expect it to be on such a grand scale of beauty. It was truly one of the best sights he had seen in a very long while. ''What do you think then?'' he asked his padawan.

Mevan looked around himself, adjusting to the new light. 'It's pretty cool.' He understated, walking out in front of his master and scanning further. 'It's alot airier then Corouscant or Nar Shaddar, and definatly cleaner.' He said. 'No doubt we'll find the more exiting areas, just by luck i'd guess.' Mevan breathed in, the air was much cleaner here. it felt good. 'It must be good to be home then, eh?'

''It is actually remarkably clean, and a lot more spacious than most planets. I figure that we will be very interested in this place. The history of it alone is something to be marveled at. I guess I must have some links to it as well'' Ross commented, pleased that his padawan seemed to like the plant. He knew that he was very much looking forward to it, and so it was an added burden in his mind that he would be disappointed should it not meet his expectations. ''I think Naboo is the type of place where it is more pretty, than interesting. I doubt we'll find anything really action packed around these streets'' he added, smiling a little.
''It's...weird I suppose. I don't have any memories of Naboo, so I guess I won't be much more use in finding our way round than you will be. Sorry about that'' he replied.

'Aha.' Mevan said. Beingly the scholarly fellow that he was he'd read much on the planet. He even stored a few data logs in his room in the jedi temple, and was hoping to set up a small library on the ship. 'I've read much on the planet, We aren't going anywhere near the swaps are we?' He asked. 'It's odd that we get called to sort out a disturbance on a pacifist planeet, that in itself is interesting, is it not, master?' He smiled, signifying his little plot of lateral thinking.

''It's a good thing that you have read up on it then, even if it will be a bit strange to know that my Padawan knows more than me, and about my own home planet to top it all off'' Ross commented. He had always been more brawn than brains however, and struggled comprehending things which required much intelligence. He was getting better in that respect though. ''We shouldn't be going near the swamps. The disturbance is supposed to be around the city. I don't have a clue what it may be, but I'm sure we will find out soon enough.'' He then thought on Mevan's next statement, and nodded in agreement. ''It is indeed interesting. I am hoping that this disturbance will not be too serious, and it should be easy to settle. That was what I was told at any rate.''

'Great, so no swamps an an easy job.' Mevan sai, with a small hint of cheer in his voice. 'Oh, so if it's nothing huge what do you expect it could be?' Mevan aske. 'I suggest we consult a few civilians, then we can probablymanage to figure it out.' He huffed, reay to get moving. 'After all, you probaly don't need to be a jei to sense a dark presence on this planet.' He concluded.

''Well, the town could still prove to be difficult. More difficult than a swamp in fact. At least we won't get dirty though I suppose'' Ross said. ''I would have thought it was just something exceedingly simple like a disturbance in a beast of some kind. My Master used to send me little tasks like these and it feels kind of similar to one of those. I could be wrong however.'' The young Jedi thought back fondly of his training and very early knighthood, and in some ways wished he could go back to that. Now he was responsible for his own padawan though, and so had to be authoritative. ''It sounds like a good plan to me. Did you have anyone you wanted to see in particular? I could probably get us to see some very high status people considering my background.''

'Mmm, hmm...' Mevan said, half listening while still admireing the rich atmosphere around him. 'Well, whatever it is i'm sure it's enough to keeps us busy.' He announced, with a slightly rraised voice, to emphasize the fact he was absolutly sure it isn't a waste of time. 'Still, no bogs to wade through.' He heard what his master said about high status meetings. 'Hmm, i find the rich very... boring. Their wealth of material compensates for their lack of social wealth.' Mevan explained. 'You can never have to much money. money is good, it represents a factor in civilisation where men are able to make fair and compramisable transactons in the form of varying tokens.' He continued, very dully. 'Still, why do you think the rich buy interesting stuff? Because they have very uninteresting lives.' Mevan said. 'But yes, if we can 'borrow' some money from them then a meeting will be brilliant.'

''Yes, I am sure that it will be very beneficial to your training, and perhaps I'll be able to teach you a few things before we face whatever it is we have to look out for'' Ross said, hoping that he would like to do that. He'd been wanting to show him a lot of ways to fight well for a while, so it was something that had to be done in his mind. ''I disagree and it will do you well to not speak about the rich like that again. I am sure that they are all very interesting indeed, and I doubt they buy interesting things to make their lives more interesting as a result. That is just a stupid stereotype and I can't believe I'm having to listen to it'' he snapped, insulted by his padawan's opinion on the wealthy. He was descended from rich parents after all.

Mevans stilled as his master snapped at him. Mevans oppinions on those better off then him were low, it came naturally to him. 'Of course master, what would I know.' Mevan said. 'If we must, a meeting can be arranged. At least make sure they know sothing to help us withour mission.' Mevan said. 'From what i know the details are sketchy.'

''Well, I appreciate that you are nto going to push the matter then. You must understand however, that I would get a bit defensive over wealthier people'' Ross said, a bit embarrassed that he had just snapped at his padawan like that. ''I will do my best then to ensure I get good people to talk to. I can't promise anything though I'm afraid.''

'Right, whatever...' Said Mevan, using a phrase he had never said before. reflecting apathy and discontent. He smiled, this was going to be a fun chapter in his life. 'So, we can't just call a bunch of richies, they'll think we're wierd.' Mevan suggested. 'I guess we'll just have to...' Mevan stopped. 'You said you received a ship for your birth ceremony or somthing.' Mevan said, clicking his fingers (inginuity time!). 'That's pretty much your strongest link to this planet, it's bound to be in the hands of someone who knows you or your reletives.' He said, expressing his exitement using smiles and waving his hands a little. Hopefully he wasn't treading on any sanctity by suggesting that we exploit his gift for the mission. 'After that we may even find your parents. They'll have sociel connections and that'll help us find the source of the disturbance.' Mevan prayed that he didn't touch a sensitive subject.

''Excuse me?'' Ross said in response to the whatever phrase, being surprisingly confident. He was actually pretty confident around his Padawan however, and that was probably because he felt the need to be. He couldn't be his usual shy and reserved sense around him, because all padawans needed authority to ensure that they learned all that they needed. ''The ship is with my father at the moment. He has a small house in Theed last time I heard, but I was hoping we would avoid him. It'd be rather strange for him to see me after twenty two years after all'' he said. ''Still, you are right that it is our best bet. If we must go, then I will happily contact him for the sake of what we must achieve. I am not overly pleased about it however.''

'Sure, if theres one thing in the 'Verse scarier then the dark side it's meeting your parents after not calling them in ages.' Mevan sighed satirically. 'Still, what was it? Fear is a path to the dark side?' Mevan said, a hint of sarcasm still lacing his voice. Mevan checked a device he had in his pocket. 'i've sent out the word we need a pilot.' He said. He replaced it and turned to look at the horizon. 'Since when was human emotion a path to the dark side anyway?' Mevan said this without negativity in his voice, simpley as if he were pointing out a cheeky flaw.

Ross wasn't really sure how to respond to that, and was rather embarrassed by it all. He didn't feel right with his padawan's sarcasm, and it was a new fear for him that perhaps he didn't like him. He didn't really know what he would do if that was the case. ''I guess...'' he replied hesitantly, gazing down at his boots. ''I am not sure how long it had been a path to the dark side. Forever I should imagine. I was told that by my Master, as was she. It's just a Jedi thing'' he answered, still looking down shyly. ''And good about the pilot. We could do with an astromech droid as well I suppose.''

'I wasn't being entirely seriousyou know.' Mevan said. 'Some times i just don't like the jedi's attitude.' He explained. He sighed. He'd obviously gone and embarressed his master somewhat, it ws best to change the subject. 'Either way, no pilot has contacted us yet and i suggest we go and see your father.' He asked.

''Well, perhaps you should just keep your opinions to yourself'' Ross said, sighing. ''Well, maybe that was a bit harsh. There are some things I hate as well. I don't like the fact you can't have material objects around'' he admitted, but that was the only thing he disliked. ''Yes, that would be a good cause fo action. It is rather a long walk as well, so it should take us a lot of time to do that. Then, of course, talking to him will take a while. I'd like to do that on my own though.''

'Hmm.' Mevan resounded with interest. 'Personally, i don't agree with the fact that we aren't allowed attachments to other sentients.' He said. 'Material objects are good to.' He agreed. 'I can see why we aren't allowed them, but it's only the personality of the owner that determines whether they do harm or not.' He said. 'Look at it this way, many dark jedi are people who have always been seduced by material objects or a lust for power. Those are personality traits that led them to the dark side.' He explained. 'Those who stay as jedi aren't seduced by the need for these objects so they won't bring us to the dark side of the force. In fact, denying us the contact with them is more likely to make us become obsessed with them.' Mevan argued. 'You see my point?'

''Yes, i agree with that as well. I see your point entirely. My master was like a second mother to me, and so I guess I got attached to her. I'd do anything for her without question. She means more to me than anyone does, apart from maybe you know'' Ross said, honestly. Despite not knowing Mevan for very long, he felt a lot of protectiveness over him. He was like his little brother, albeit one he hardly knew. However, being his master sparked a strange sense of trust and a need for him to look after the padawan. It was quite odd. ''I agree as well that only evil people will respond evilly to those benefits. I always did think the council and Jedi in general were trying to be too careful about it all. I know that if I had more wealth, I wouldn't turn evil over it as I doubt you would as well.''

'Yeah, it's almost hypocritical how they pair jedi up but speak against personal relationships.' Mevan responded. 'My master was like a second parent to me, just like your master was.' He said. 'I should explain, I never knew my father, and my mother died when i was young and i spent my life as an orphan on nar shaddar.' He summed up his life in few words. 'So i knew my master more then my parents. I kind of replaced them with him.' Mevan explained. He laughed a bit. 'I don't blame the jedi though, they are trying to make the 'Verse a better place. I just think they have the wrong way of doing it.' He shrugged and summed everything up. 'My point is reinforced by my need for adventure pent up by being kept on Nar Shaddar and your money by being kept from your rich home.' He said.
