[Ross Astar]

''Well, I think you have a great truth in your words. I sometimes have an odd sense of anger towards the Jedi for not letting me experience my family's wealth. It seemed unfair'' Ross said. ''I am sorry that you had quite a poor life however, and also that you didn't know your parents very well at all. If it is any relief, I barely knew mine either. I was split up from them from a very young age. I barely remember them actually, I must admit.''

[Croaky]

'To be honest, the jedi have given me a home and fod to eat, the least i can d is go along with their ideals which, in the long term, i agree with.' Mevan said.
'Incidentally, do you remember where your old home is?' He asked.

[Ross Astar]

''Well, I guess in your case then you have a good point. However, I had pretty much everything I wanted until I went to the Jedi. Still, I shouldn't complain. I do enjoy working for the Jedi. It is most fulfilling'' Ross said. ''It is on the other side of town. Did you want some of his food or something?''

[Croaky]

'Food would be good.' Mevan said. 'I've always wondered what rich people food tasted like.' He said. 'You probably do aswell, it'll make up for having to meet your father again...' he said.

[Ross Astar]

''I should think that rich people food would just atste like a much higher quality than poor people's food. It shouldn't be anything too memorable'' Ross said, smirking a little. He chose not to comment more on his father, as he just wanted to push the topic to the back of his mind before he got there. Strolling down the street that they were in, he hoped that the meeting would go alright.

[Croaky]

'Theed's really nice.' Mevan commented. 'I like this place, it's ideal and it isn't even in the inner rim' He commented.
'It's a lot different to Nar Shaddar, that place was freaky.' He laughed. 'It's like coruscant but with more Hutts.' He said.
'But this place, Naboo, It's clean and everyones a pacifist.' He smiled and nodded his head. 'Mabey thats why people seem to leave it alone.'

[Ross Astar]

''I rather like it as well. Of course, when I was younger I used to read up on this planet being as I was interested in where I came from even if I had very few memories of it, but it is suprisingly pleasant. I guess it must be because everyone is a pacifist like you said'' Ross replied, smiling a little. ''So, did you want tell me a bit more about yourself? You've hinted that your childhood wasn't too great, but I would still like to know a little bit more.''

[Croaky]

'Well, I grew up on Ahlto city, Manaan.' Mevan began. 'I was pretty well off, not as much as you but quite well off.' He mentioned.
'My dad was in charge of what went in and out of the city, but he was bribed or or something i guess to overlook some smuggleing jobs.' He continued. He bit his lip, trying to remember details. 'Yeah, illegal weapons or ill gained kolto or something like that.'
'Anyway, he thought it would't hurt and he just did it to put some extra bread on the table but he was ratted out by one of the smugglers and jailed for conspiracy to do... something or other.' He said.
'It doesn't other me much that he broke the law or whatever but since he was what was keeping the family going, once he was jailed we lost the home and everything,'
' so me and my mother became fugitives to Nar shaddar where she worked a few jobs for the Hutts and died in a crossfire between two gangs.' He explained.
'But eventually the jedi picked me up from that moon and i joined the order to get away from it.' He finished. 'Thats pretty much the story of my life.'

[Ross Astar]

Ross listened carefully to his family, and was rather glad that he knew a bit more about Mevan. It was always an important thing, and it also meant that he wouldn't tread on any toes anytime soon. He'd hate to say something rather insensitive to him which may strike a nerve. His history did seem very sad however, and he could see why he would be a bit upset about that. He never did show an explicit sign of being upset about the whole thing though, which was nice. ''Thank you for telling me all that. It was rather interesting to know more about you. You've had a pretty eventful life. Am I to assume your father is still in prison. You never said what became of him in the end.''

[Croaky]

'I think my father may be dead.' Mevan said. 'I don't really care much though.' He added.
'I hardly knew the guy, and if his is a alive i have no reason for seeing him.' He explained. 'My father is the reason I ended up on the godless moon in the firstplace, I managed to find the guy who spilt the info on my dad though and gave him a peice of my mind.' He recounted.
'It may seem insensitive but i never developed much of a connection to my parents, so i find it hard connecting with anyone else.'

[Ross Astar]

''That seems a bit harsh. Oh well, though. I guess I shouldn't be judging you on how you get on with your family. Or got on rather. Jedi aren't meant to have families who they care for greatly anyway. It just leads to people being evil and things like that'' Ross replied, trying his very best not to judge the padawan. ''I can kind of tell that you find it hard connecting to people. I don't think you like me very much at all really.''

[Croaky]

'Don't say that!' Mevan laughed, amused by the conclusion his master had come to. 'Trust me, if the jedi had paired me up with an arsehole then I would be alot worse to you.' He said.
'But yeah, i do see how it's insensitive but i'm sure everyone has some family issues.'

[Ross Astar]

''I am pleasantly relieved then Mevan. I was worried because I know that a lot of people have hated me in the past and I was kind of expecting you to do that as well. I guess I was just being rather ridiculous'' Ross said smiling at him. ''Well, my family don't have any issues. We were rather perfect before I was sent to the Jedi Temple. It's a shame really that I never got to know them.''

[Croaky]

'Your issue is that you don't really know them then.' Mevan said. 'Besides, you can't go through life without pissing off a few people.' He continued 'It happens.'

[Ross Astar]

''Yeah, I suppose so. I'll be weird though if either of my brother's are there. I'm the youngest so it's kind of strange that I am the most capable. At least to me anyway'' Ross said. ''Yeah, I guess that you're right. A lot of people say I show off. You'll see why if you ever see me in a fight I suppose.''

[Croaky]

'I guessed that.' Mevan said. 'I noticed you had two lightsabres, techniques involving two weapons are often very elaborate.' Mevan commented before wipng his nose on his sleeve.
'Sorry, it's actually quite cold here.'

[Ross Astar]

''Well, I am sure that I can teach you some of my fighting techniques. I'm quite good at gymnastics as well, if you care to know. I would be able to teach you that as well of course'' Ross said. ''It's not that cold. You should toughen up a little'' he replied to his padawan's slight whine, grinning as eh found it rather amusing.

[Croaky]

'Gymnastics? Toughen up?' Mevan said. He sppread his arms and emphesized his scrawny physique. 'I choose to be like this!' Mevan laughed.
'I more reliant in the ways of the force.' He continued. 'Peaceful and easier on the body. Sometimes even just the presence of a lightsaber can diffuse tense situations.' Mevan finished, lecturing on the ways of minimalism.

[Ross Astar]

Ross laughed at his padawan's eagerness to sthow that he was scrawny for a reason, even if he didn't understand why. Fighting, to him, was far more elegant than just using the force. Especially if you fought as well as he did. ''Well, I wish you luck with just relying on the force. Although, I assume you were assigned to me for a reason. I figure that the council will most likely want me to teach you how to fight, so that is what I shall do. When we get back to the ship, I shall teach you some tricks.''

[Croaky]

'Yeah sure.' Mevan said. 'The force could knock you off your feet before you even ignited your blades.' He boasted.
'I don't know why i was assigned to a guardian, i was trained as a consular.' He sighed. 'It must've been some kind of administrative error.'
