Jarik parked his ship on one of the many landing pads on Coruscant. He hadn't been to the planet for years, not since his days in the military, during one of his few leaves from the army. Now he had returned, hoping to find some kind of work in the massive city planet. With such a dense population, there was bound to be someone who needed some mercenary work done.
"Ok Glitch, you just hang out here," said Jarik, as the droid ran some tests on the ship.
"Got it, boss," answered Glitch. Jarik left the ship and began to walk towards the streets of Coruscant.

Jakob had just exited the massive republic Chamber room feeling quite satisfied with how it went. He faught the massive crowds flooding the streets attempting to get to the other side of town. And then out of the Corner of his eye he saw a rough 'n tough man standing there by the docks looking quite confused as the flood of people hurrid by. ::Perfect:: He thought to himself with an evil grin on his face as he approached the man with a very prideful stride. "Sir, I just noticed you here looking quite lost. What might a mercenarie like you be doing here on the Core Worlds? Don't answer" he said. " You look like your looking for work, are you not; If you are, then I may have the perfect oppurtunity for you if you are interested?"He said to the man as he lightly tugged on his mind with the force, not making his decision exact, but just...'influencing it'.

Jarik stared at the man who had just walked up to him. There was definitely something strange about this man, and he had appeared too conveniently. Jarik had an odd feeling about him, but the mercenary was looking for work and the faster he got a job, the better.
"Ok, I'm interested," said Jarik, "so what is this opportunity?"

"See my name is Jakbo Rylayus, I'm the Governor of this very city. I own the Streets you stand on. However recently some of my fellow politicians havent agreed with me very well And this makes me quite angry. Angry enough to draw blood. However If i were to do anything they would know it was me. You however are a nobbody, in a non-offensive way of course, so if you did it. It wont ruin either of our careers understand. And if anything goes wrong, I'm the Governor for god sakes. I could get you at of jail in a heart beat. So is it a deal." Jakob said to the merc. " "If you don't accept, Well...lets just say that I've already said to much and you would have to be arrested" He said woth a remorseful look.

"You're definitely an expert negotiator, Jakob," said Jarik, as he thought over what the governor had just said, "anyway let me get this straight: you've got some politicians that don't agree with you, I'm going to have to kill them, and if something goes wrong you'll bust me out of jail." Jarik thought it over for another minute and then spoke again, "Well it looks like I don't have much of a choice, congratulations, you've got yourself an assassin. Who do I kill first?"

First of all my newfound friend, I need to confide a secret in you that at this point only you and I can know. Jakob said as he began walking with the man towards his office.
------------------------------------------------------------
Later when they had reached the Office Jakob sat down and told the man to do so otherwise. Now the Politicians of this day are corrupt and not what they used to be in the glory days of the Republic. I want to reform this republic bring back what it used to be. I want to begin what I call the Humanoid Holocaust, to get rid of the impurities of not just the alien scum but of the Jedi. The Jedi are even more corrupt than the other senators, thinking that theyre helping at all when the only thing they do is sit upon their chairs in the council room. But enough of my preaching, your target is a representative of the planet of Rodia, he wants to make the price of natural metals and herbs purchased by the republic sky rocket for his profit. Now I cant have this for it will have major reprocaussions. He is going to be aboard a republic capital ship tonight which will be stationed above this planet. Go abboard his ship and kill him leaving no witnessess.

Jarik nodded, understanding everything he had been told. Although he had no personal quarrel with the jedi or the aliens, he didn't really care. Jarik's job was to kill the Rodian representative, and as long as he got payed in some way, he was fine with it.
Later that day, Jarik flew the Eternal Spear towards the ship which the Rodian was aboard. He made his way towards the ship's hangar and established contact with it.
"TL-22 freighter, please identify yourself," said one of the capital ship's personnel.
"This is the Eternal Spear, requesting to dock."
"What is your business here?"
"That is none of your concern. I have permission from the governor of Coruscant."
"Very well, you may proceed."
Well that was easy, thought Jarik, now I just have to find this Rodian.

Jakob contacted Jarik through a comlink. "Jarik, when you've finished this mission, report back to Coruscant immidietly, I'v egot a special offer for you. However dont let this distract you from your mission, Understood?" Jakob said sternly.

"Understood," answered Jarik, as he picked up a few easily concealable weapons and left his ship, with Glitch following him. Jarik walked up to an information terminal on the capital ship and looked up the location of the Rodian representative's quarters.
"Ah, here he is, about 5 floors above us," said Jarik, "Glitch, I want you to stay here and hack into the ship's systems. Then deactivate the security cameras in that area when I give you the signal."
"What do you think I am, an astromech droid?" shouted Glitch, "Why can't I do some fighting?"
"Just get ready to deactivate the cameras," said Jarik, "and if you want a battle so badly, kill anything that sees you working on this console."
"Fine," said Glitch, as Jarik walked into the elevator and traveled up to the Rodian's room. Just before the door to the elevator opened again, Jarik shouted "Now!" into his comlink, signaling for Glitch to deactivate the cameras. Trusting that the droid had deactivated them, Jarik walked down the hallway in front of him and made it to the Rodian's room. Two Republic soldiers guarding the door suddenly stopped him.
"Halt! What's your business here?" asked one of them. Jarik smiled and thought to himself, Leave no witnesses. Jarik quickly pulled out two blaster pistols and fired into the guards' heads. Neither of them even had a chance to scream. Jarik opened the door to the Rodian's quarters and walked into the room.
Meanwhile, Glitch, having just deactivated the cameras, spun around to find himself face to face with a small astromech droid, which began beeping at him.
"Oh me? I'm not doing anything," said Glitch.
The suspicious astromech droid made a few angry beeps before being cut off by a blaster bolt fired directly at its photoreceptor. Glitch quickly put his blaster pistol back into his backpack and hid the astromech droid's remains.
"I wonder how much longer it's going to be until Jarik get's back."
Back at the Rodian ambassador's room, Jarik was busy grappling with the ambassador's two personal guards. Just as they were about to overpower him, Jarik managed to grab his combat knife and slammed the sharp blade into one of the guards' chests. As the dead guard dropped to the floor, Jarik turned his attention to the second guard and slashed his knife through the guard's neck.
"No, please, stop!" pleaded the Rodian ambassador, who was hiding behind his desk.
"Sorry, but I've got a job to do," said Jarik, as he threw a thermal detonator over the desk. As the Rodian jumped from his cover, Jarik raised his blaster pistol and blasted a hole through the ambassador's chest.
That fool, thought Jarik, as he picked up the grenade, I didn't even activate the detonator.
A few minutes later, Jarik returned to the hangar and shouted at Glitch to get into the Eternal Spear and start it up. By the time that the Rodian's ship was alerted to the ambassador's death, Jarik and Glitch were already in Coruscant's troposphere. It was not long before Jarik walked back into the Governor's office and reported his success.
