Appearance:
Kaia is definitely not what comes to mind when one hears the words, "Mandalorian Bounty Hunter". A civilian or some petty criminal might imagine a burly, broad shouldered man clad in Mandalorian Armor, with several nasty scars across his hardened face.
Kaia is a human female of average height and weight, for members of her race, gender and age group. Her straight dark brown hair almost reaches the middle of her back and is worn in a bun when she dons her helm. Her eyes are a shade of chocolate brown.
On the hunt, she wears black Mandalorian armor over a dark gray flight suit. The color was not chosen to symbolize justice, as in some cases, but rather to help it's wearer fade into the shadows. Her helm, jet pack and rifle are also black.
Personality:
Kaia is naturally calm and confident in her abilities. Those who get to know her well will learn that she has a healthy sense of humor. There are times she can be quite sarcastic, and some have even branded her as irritable, and sharp tongued.
She is a calculating and patient hunter, who may stalk her target for days or weeks before making the kill. But no matter how long it takes her, she will get you. But she won't blow up your air speeder or gun you down in the middle of the street, no that's not her style. She'll get you when you take that short cut down that dark alley, or when you're just coming through your front door, or when you're sitting on the john.
Biography:
Kaia's origins are humble, she began life on Dxun as the first born daughter to Sarli and Glenn Ram'ser, two respectable Mandalorian warriors. They were thrilled by the arrival of their first child, and did their best to raise her Mandalorian. As is the custom, she spent her early years with her mother, and her training was taken over by her father when she reached 5 years of age.
Glenn was specialist whose strengths were stealth, sabotage and sniping. He passed these skills on to Kaia. throughout the years they spent training together, they developed a very strong father-daughter bond. Kaia was often refered to as 'Daddy's Girl'.
Shortly after she celebrated her 16th birthday, Kaia's father, a bounty hunter by trade, left Dxun to pursue a lead on Coruscant. He never returned, leaving his Clan and family to wonder what had become of him. There were several rumors, some of them tales of torture and gruesome death, some thought that Glenn had deserted the Mandalorians, but no one knew the real story.
No one pondered this mystery more often than his daughter. He and Kaia had always shared a close bond, and his sudden and unexplained disappearance left her burning for answers. On the second anniversary of his disappearnce, she announced that she was bound for Coruscant, to look for answers.
Finding her way to Coruscant turned out to be the simplest leg of the journey. Born and raised on a small jungle moon, Kaia was overwhelmed by the vast urban sprawl of the planet. She spent the following year searching for leads, which often ran dry. Until...
Kaia had cornered a Toydarian thug, who was wanted on charges completely unrelated to her mission, and was about to take him in. But in order to save his own hide, he claimed to know the real reason Kaia was visiting Coruscant, and offered to trade her information for his freedom.
"You're looking for the guy that killed that Mando bounty hunter, aren't you? Well, I can tell you anything you need to know! Just...lemme go."
And the foul creature sang like a canary, as the saying goes. He claimed to have witnessed the killing, and that the murderer was a man named Bama Jaxx. After gaining knowledge of Jaxx's location, Ram'ser killed the thug and left him to rot in the street, as an example to others involved in her father's death.
Tracking Jaxx was no easy task, but once she confronted him, it was plain to her that he was the right man; he was wearing her father's armor and bragged about the deed. A firefight followed, and by the end, Jaxx lay dead. Kaia reclaimed her father's armor and returned it to Dxun, so that he might be home again and everyone would know the truth behind his disappearance.
Even after she found her father's killer and avenged his death, Kaia remained on Coruscant, though she paid the occasional visit to her family on Dxun. She made a decent living collecting bounties on the local thugs, and was occasionally contracted for professional hits. If a man wanted to make someone 'disappear', he took his business to Ram'ser.
She has recently left Coruscant behind to rejoin her Mandalorian brothers and sisters in the rebellion.
