As they made their way to the Arks Hangar Solus'ad endured the occasional strange look, and the snappy salute. He realized alot of the odd looks were for Italia, and he was filled with a mild compassion. Poor girl is probably fidgetting inside.
"You always get so much attention?"
Solus'ad heaved a heavy sigh through his nose, it came out as a long exhale. He heard her snicker and he raised an eyebrow at her. Casting her a side long glance. "What do you think?" He said as a little smile crept onto his lips.
She teased him about his charm. That made his eyebrows raise a couple times. The images of thousands of women burrying him like he was some sort of holo star. Then the images of thousands of men grabbing his ass sobered his ego right up.
He laughed when she expressed her displeasure of haveing to get him back from the female number of the enemy. He cleared his throat as she skillfully attempted to hide her interest. He genuinely considered it a moment and spoke up."Republic women are too dull and submissive for my tastes. Honestly, how many women can I trust my back to in a fight?"
He stepped over the threshold of Arks Hangar and followed Italia to where a team of engineers was tending to Arkanos new frame. They past several strange artifacts of unusual design and age. There were assortments of blades, all made of Beskar. Strangely shaped objects whose use escaped him. Though if it sat in a Mandalorians den, it was either a papere weight, a trophy, or something used to kill people.
There were models of every republic ship he had ever seen, and a few he hadn't. He stopped a moment and looked closely at a Centurian Class Battle Cruiser. He considered his history a moment and muttered a single word. "Canderous." He tapped the plasteel hull with his finger and chased off after Italia.
He found the two of them with one engineer, likely doing diagnostics.
"Hows the new skin Arkanos? You ready to run down Iriez on Dantooine?" Solus'ad grinned at the metallic form before him.

Ark's attention had long since been stolen from the briefing room by the scurrying techs and engineer's scattered about the bay. "What i-" ark let his head hang and sighed. "Again, no Vaador the power couplings won't handle it." He spun and perked up as he heard lia. "Listen just follow the plans." he said absentmindedly before pushing the engineer aside and zipping over to lia. "Well, it'd be faster if they'd quit trying to redesign my frame." he said slightly annoyed. "I still can't believe how that armor fits you." The pod twisted as it hung from the ciling to look at mandalore. "Ah, yes well, almost still waiting on the diagnostic to come back on the reactors and comm system, after that it should be more or less ready for bare."

He sighed at her question, replying with one of his own. This produced a small snicker from her at least, and she felt a little better. He seemed about as pleased by the thought as she was. His face at her comments was priceless as well, moving from something like shock and pleasure, to shock and disturbance. He had obviously caught her little verbal blunder and chuckled at it, even as she tried to cover it up she knew it was too late and a bright pink came to her cheeks.
"Republic women are too dull and submissive for my tastes. Honestly, how many women can I trust my back to in a fight?"
She'd wanted to reply "you can trust me"...she almost did...it had been on the tip of her tongue...but she said nothing. Why...why did she say nothing?! Instead she had moved on, calling to her ba'buir...and now she was cursing herself for it. Even as she still wanted to reply to him, she knew the moment had passed, and so she kept silent. Occupied with these thoughts, she only barely registered as Ark's pod slid along it's rail toward her while he complained about the engineers trying to redesign his frame before he complimented her. Smiling and chuckling lightly she shook her head slightly.
Thank you, and thanks again for giving it to me. I needed ta make a few more adjustments to it even after the armorers smoothed out the rest of the kinks, but it's all in working order now, and it don' make a sound I don' want it to.
As for the engineers....well....that's their job ba'buir. You see somethin' you think YOU can fix an' you try ta fix it...so no complainin' 'bout them. They're just not as...wise...as you are, nor had as long ta practice an' learn much as you have.
She smiled and patted the area of the pod where his shoulder would be.
'Sides, we're all just pups ta you ba'buir...right?
Lia gave him a teasing little wink and giggled playfully. It wouldn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to see her as that playful puppy, ears perked, head tilted to the side, tail wagging, ready to go bounding around the room in sport. She hadn't moved a muscle, but the energy was there, ebbing out from her and trying to entangle any into her playful mood that it could. Even as Ark turned to address Solus'ad, she shifted slightly her suddenly playful attitude even surprising herself. The auburn had to stifle another giggle at Ark's serious reply to Sol's not so serious question.
Ach, ba'buir, you're supposed to say something like "of course, pup, and I'll beat you to 'em blind folded with my arms bound behind me!"....so serious!! Good grief...
She laughed then, bright and clear, as she poked fun at the aging cyborg.

Solus'ad chuckled along with Lia, and smiled at the pod Ark was moveing around in. "How long before we can get to working out the software kinks? I wanted you out on the range testing speed, accuracy, and endurance, yesterday." Sol's eyebrows came together in a squeeze of concentration.
One of the techs spoke up. "We're putting this thing together as fast as we can Mandalore. Welding Beskar together is a difficult and time consumeing process, assuming you want the weld to hold." Solus'ad nodded and scratched his chin.
"Hand me the modifications sheet." He said to the tech, his hand slightly extended. The tech hesitated, surprised. "Not gonna bite you boy, I just want to see some of the specs." He said. The tech handed Mandalore a pad and he began to sweep over the figures. Half listenning to Italia and Araknos.
He strolled, circleing Arkanos new body. A thoughtfull look on his face. He would stop occasionally to look at a joint system, or unattatched hydrolics. Occasionally scratching his chin in thought.

"Clearly you've never seen a iziz lia," he said sternly. "I'd need but hop on my big toe." he said chuckling to the woman some what below his line of sight in his railed cradle. "It will not be much longer once they finish welding the chest plates I can move into the hull and start running my check's while they finish, though to might great shame I will have to use out dated weaponry seeing as I lack the time to properly modify anything newer." Ark sighed before looking at mandalore walk around the frame. "But I can assure you I'll be ready to take the whole spec-ops command in a spar by midday correct Vaador?" The lead tech snap his head up in surprise. "Of course." the young tech said before looking down at the frames left arm to work more furiously. "Well, there you go pup."

"Good to hear it." Solus'ad said, chuckling softly, at the interchange between Arkanados and the lead tech. He pulled out his multi-Gaunt and jacked into Arkanados software case, and ran through checklists of his software.
"Uh, Mandalore-" one of the techs spoke up, before Sol silenced him by holding up his gloved hand. "Relax Vod, I'm just looking." He said. He quietly inspected the techs work, and looked over the body. "How long before the chest plate will be done?"
A tech, welding the breastplate's 3/10 hard point stopped and lifted his face plate up. He looked a little grizzled and dirty, but pleased. "Finishing off the 3rd one now. Majority of'em are finished, sir. Gonna take a rancor to rip it off. Ba'buir here's servos are maybe just strong enough to pull it loose." The tech said tapping the breastplate with the cool end of his fusion welder, a satisfied smile on his face.
Solus'ad nodded at him and gestured for him to continue. "Keep it up, Ad." He said, and he unplugged his Multi-Gaunt and wandered back over to Arkanados Cradle, and crossed his arms. "I'm not entirely displeased. It looks like they coated your power core with Phobium. Should raise your output and make it more stable." He stood there a moment, and looked from Arkanados Cradle to his new body and then to lia, pondering something unusual. "Buir, I don't mean to be disrespectfull, but what color were your eyes."

Lia pondered Ark’s statement about the Iriaz for a moment, auburn head tilted to the side slightly, the florescent lighting of the hangar bay glinting in the short locks and setting them ablaze.
Hmm, no actually…not that I know of anyway. I don’t recall ever going to Dantooine…but I’ve been a lot of places for even more reasons, and I can’t expect that I remember all of them clearly.
She gave a playful flick of her beads with a little wink before walking away and allowing the boys to talk tech. Leaning casually against one of the walls, she set her helmet down on one of his work benches. Glancing about the room, the young woman sighed and yawned a bit as she listened idly to what was going on. Personally, everything other than ships was fairly new territory for her as far as repairs went, and even some of the programming was still beyond her. Only when Sol had asked Ark about his eye color did her attention fully come back to them.
--Now why would he want to know that I wonder? And why look at me?--
Curiously, green eyes flickered between Solus’ad and Ark as she tried to puzzle out just what the man was thinking. Why would he want to know about Ark’s eyes all of a sudden anyway?

"If the servos are tuned correctly they should be more than able to wrench those plates off." ark said as his pod skirted along to the frame's still unarmored left arm. "That said as bad as rancor blood smells I don't plan on arm wrestling one soon." ark laughed as he said that before turning and tilting his head at sol. "They where green, like the lenses on this things photoreceptor actually." As he spoke he moved over to the frames shoulders and hefted the head to tap the lens of his photoreceptor. "If I may ask mandalore, why do you ask?"
"Sir, we need you to hook in now." ark's head turned to the head tech before lowering his head. Before bringing it up and speaking. "Ok, pull the plug and move the case." he said vaguely watching the techs around his little bed at the rear of the hanger before his vision and sensors blinked out. Ark jerked slightly in his frame as the lights flared in the optic centers of his mind. His attention darted about the HUD before noting that everything appeared to be working before attempting to cough. Well atleast it's working he thought. "Well, Hud's active and vocabulator works." he said his audio sensors peaking as his voice came out as a squeaky nasal tone. "And some one get over here and fix this voice box."

Solus'ad grinned and jacked into the manual control port on Ark's vocabulator. He had to open up his face plate to get at it, but he knew where the latch would be. Like opening up the hood of a landspeeder. "Lets adjust it to something a bit more intimidating shall we?" He chuckled for a moment, considering Ark's response, and question. He used his multi-gaunt to adjust Arks vocabulator to have a deeply pitched voice. Not anything ridiculous, but it would definitely fit him better than the squeaky holo-comedy it was previously set to.
"I ask because, I want to know what you were like Buir. As of now your just Beskar and wiring." He wrapped his knuckles on Ark's chest plate, which thunked softly. "I'd like to know what sort of person you are, and I sum up a man by looking them eye to eye." He smiled halfheartedly, hoping he hadn't offended the old warrior. "Amongst other things."
He closed up Ark's face plates and locked the latch.
"Hope thats better. We can tune it differently if you like. For now though lets move on to locomotion." Solus'ad stepped away from Ark and joined Italia a safe distance away so that if he stumbled no one would get crushed.

Italia merely watched blankly as they worked on her ba'buir's new frame. Something was itching at the back of her mind and she didn't like it. It was the same kind of feeling she'd gotten before...
The young woman shook her head, beads clattering loudly against her armor plating as she did so. No, it wasn't something bad...she'd finally found a place she could belong once again. She'd finally found a family like the one she'd had on the Star...nothing could go wrong now. Heaving a sigh, she forced a little giggle and put on a smile as she pretended to be amused at Ark's high pitched vocabulator. Vaguely she heard Sol talking about just why he'd asked...no...there was more to it than that, even SHE could tell that much. Shaking her head again, she smiled a little more genuinely. Silly man may be able to fool the techs, but Ark was nearly 400 and Lia knew the man better than she should have for only having met him a month or so ago. It was unlikely that he'd be able to fool either one of them for long.
Smiling at the older man as he came up beside her, she resisted the urge to lean up against him. Instead she pushed her shoulder against him lightly in a playful attempt to knock him sideways. Her smile immediately faded. Something WAS wrong...she didn't know what, but something had her feeling anxious suddenly....anxious, and frightened....and incredibly sad. Shocked by the emotions, green eyes flickered from Solus'ad to Ark, then around the hangar as if looking for the cause of the sudden change in her feelings. Swiftly hiding it, she let out a little, embarrassed, chuckle and settled back against the wall more securely as she pressed her back to it as flat as she could. It was almost as if she were trying to protect herself from being snuck up on from behind as she tried to puzzle out just why she had suddenly felt all of these things.
