Name: Cassus Ordo
Species: Human
Age: 25
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 199
Birth place: Ordo (moon)
Appearance:
Biography:
Born on the moon of Ordo, the child known as Cassus was uncontrollable. Birthed out of wedlock to his mother and father, both Mandalorian officers. Cassus Ordo was often the subject of jokes and ridicule. He was very shady, and enjoyed games others didn’t. One of his favorite games was one he created himself, even though his instructors told him it was too violent. Cassus would find a shady, shrouded shrub area, and toss rocks at the other children. When they would come looking for him, he had already moved to a new location. Even the instructors had trouble finding him because he was too fast.
Growing up without friends didn’t really bother Cassus. It gave him more time to read his textbooks. Most of his spare time, except of course when he was playing Haaranovor (HA-RAHN-OH-VOR), was spent pouring over his math and science books. In fact when he would go to class he would be reprimanded for moving ahead too quickly. His instructors always told him to stop trying to be a Mir’sheb (Meer-sheb). He usually ignored them, and even corrected them whenever he saw they made a mistake. After a few years, Cassus was moved ahead of his age group in studies, approximately 4 years.
Over his school years Cassus stayed a loner, he stopped playing Haaranover, and started to study military technology. In the process, he met one of the leaders of Clan Ordo, Braden. Braden began to teach Cassus what it meant to be a Mandalorian, and that he must always strive to be the best, because Mandalorians proved their worth through action, and not just scores during instruction. When he reached the age of 16, Braden began to educate him on Spec Ops, which he had retired from around 4 years previous.. Cassus eagerly accepted, as he was greatly amazed and interested in the military.
Braden taught Cassus everything he needed to know. He was surprised that a bookworm like Cassus was so athletic. Every time he would have Cassus run he would beat the time Braden had set for him, even when he tried to lower to make him fail. Braden was also one of the best marksmen in the entire clan, and taught Cassus to be the next. In outside study, Cassus himself worked with computer sciences and technology, quickly mastering the skills.
POST CHILDHOOD/SCHOOLING
After graduation, Cassus was immediately promoted to Sergeant, and was put under the command of Captain Lucius Ordo. Not even a week after graduation Cassus was put on assignment. Himself and Lucius were to infiltrate the planet of Correlia, and eliminate Senator Rayne Tartel. The basic overview was that Rayne was causing problems for the Mandalorians, and needed to be taken care of. They headed out the next day, and within a few weeks arrived on the planet. They landed via a normal low-fee transport shuttle, so cheap it didn’t even check baggage. Cassus figured that typical of Republic regulations and standards. After leaving the spaceport, the two got a room located in the uppermost sweet of a large hotel overlooking the Senator’s residence. Once in the room, the two readied their gear for the assassination. Cassus removed the Mandalorian V-90 Ultra-Velocity Rifle from its case, and mounted it on a bipod on the window sill. He grabbed the curtains and draped them over the weapon for concealment until it was time. Lucius unloaded the sensory equipment, and set up the station near the window. Cassus took out the spotter’s viewfinder and placed it in the next window over. He turned to Lucius when they had finished preparing.
”The rifle is ready for you sir, I’m prepared to designate the target. Thirty-two minutes until kill-time.”, said Cassus in Mando’a.
”Not this time, Cassus, this one is your shot.”
”Sir, yes sir!”, said Cassus trying to hide his excitement.
He walked over to the rifle, and Lucius moved to the viewfinder. Cassus could see down the scope, the Senator’s residence was a four story mansion. Lucius signaled that the target had appeared, and verified his ID. Cassus took aim down the sights of the rifle. He checked the wind speed, then centered in on the target.
”Now, take the shot!”, ordered Lucius.
Cassus fired the rifle, and a huge bang echoed over the city. The shot slammed into Rayne’s arm, severing it from the rest of the body. A confirmed kill. If he wasn’t dead from shock, the blood loss would do the trick. As soon as the target was downed, Lucius started moving to the door, he motioned for Cassus to follow.
”No time to pack up, one of the guards spotted the flash, we’ve been compromised!”, said Lucius on the run.
They made it to the bottom of the hotel before they were spotted. Blaster bolts started streaking past them. They sprinted to some nearby swoops, and started them up and sped off. As they were racing away, Cassus heard a crash behind him, and saw Lucius and his swoop go down, hard. His bike smashed into the pavement, and then exploded in a brilliant flash. The Captain’s body was incinerated by the explosion, and the remains were taken care of by the rest of the crash.
Cassus was filled with anger, he knew he had to stay focused. He needed to make it out alive. He turned around on his bike, still racing away. He took aim with his blaster pistol, targeting his assailants. He fired three subsequent shots, and all three of his chasers went down. Cassus was relieved, seeing no one else behind him.
Suddenly, a blaster bolt flew out of a nearby ally. Taken by surprise, Cassus was completely helpless. The bolt impacted with the left side of Cassus’ helmet, knocking him off his bike. He was knocked unconscious, and lay mangled near the remains of the bike.
He awoke the next day sitting in a chair, his left arm was strapped to a table, and extended outward. His other hand was fastened to the arm of the chair. Here is where his most horrific memory, or rather past, would begin. Into the room walked a tall human. He was dressed in Republic military gear, and did not even speak. He moved to the table and picked up a small cleaver. That was when Cassus saw it. He had missed that his index finger was also extended, more specifically, his shooting finger. The man walked over to the table.
”So, where do your allegiances lie? If anywhere, assassin?”, questioned the officer.
Cassus didn’t respond.
” Very well then, your decision.”, the officer finished.
The man raised the cleaver, and brought it down on Cassus’ finger. Blinding pain overtook him, but he didn’t let it show. He was told in training never to show weakness. Shortly after, the man strolled casually to a locker, and returned bearing a blaster pistol. Without even speaking , the man moved over to Cassus, raised the blaster, and fired. That was when the lights went out, and Cassus’ memories went with them.
Cassus awoke on a small bunk. He looked around, he couldn’t remember where he was. His head was pounding. A man walked into the room and spoke.
”Ah, Sergeant, welcome back.”, said the man.
”Wha? Sergeant?”, said Cassus, noticing the Mandalorian insignia on the man’s shirt.
Cassus fell unconscious again.
It took many months for Cassus to regain functionality, but eventually he did it. He retrained himself to use his right hand as a trigger hand. When he got curious about what had happened to him he asked, but they always refused to tell him, saying it was better for him if he didn’t know. Over the next few years he performed more elimination missions, all successes. After around a year, he was promoted to Second Lieutenant. Cassus graciously accepted, and has been working as a spec ops officer ever since. One thing he still doesn’t understand is why whenever he has his helmet off he feels extremely unsafe, like something is going to hit him.
