Concerning the Galactic Senate

Too long have we sat complacently by as the Galaxy crumbles around us. Too long have we ingnored the plight of the Republic, fating her people to death by starvation, disaster and war. Too long!

It is time that we, the democratically elected - at least in most cases - representatives of our respective peoples, took action and held a Grand Assembly of the Senate. Most importantly we must elect a Chancellor.

As such, I propose that every Senator interested in being elected to the post of Chancellor put their name down here. That means that when it comes to "nominating" candidates, we will not end up with anyone who really doesn't want the position - eg. me

Once this has been done, we should proceed to hold an Extraordinary Meeting of the Senate, in which we will discuss the issue of electing a Chancellor, alongside the important events plaguing the Galaxy as we speak.

Fellow Senators, it is time to speak up for your people! It is time to do the job for which you were chosen! It is time to fulfill your destinies!

Well just in case you didn't know...its been basically decided that Donald Kail will be the new Chancellor. We are actually waiting for Ardenator(who has the current chancellor) to kill off his Chancellor.

Though I think its a good idea that we RP the situation. Though not counting him...there are....You,Me,Meira....yeah only three other senators. But I would definetly like to RP the electing of chancellor

Well does it have to be just Senators, 'cause my character(Jakob Rylayus) is governor of Coruscant might be interested. Would Donald Kail win even if we rp'ed it out?

Yea, in order to keep this place running smoothly we, th staff, also choose who will take the important positions, we choose those we know we can trust. We do this because we've had past experiences where newer members have come along and made a very high-ranked character (the previous Grand Master) and then after a while they've vanished. We try and keep some sort of control over things.

Still, I agree that it might still be nice to RP the election (with perhaps, quite considerable numbers of NPC voters!)
