As Naboo is quite a well-known planet, I thought I would compile some era-appropriate information on her government, people, locations etc. As you can see, it was quite a different place at this time! I have also included some names from my bios, so that certain details do not clash (I hope you won't think me arrogant!).
Government: Hereditary Princely States (Dee’ja Peak, Theed, Keren), one lifelong High King or Queen, elected from the princes and princesses of the Princely States. The Princely States are not united as such, but they do acknowledge the High King or Queen as their leader.
Current Capital: Dee’ja Peak – Situated atop the Gallo Mountains, Dee’ja Peak was one of the first – if not the first – human settlement on the watery world of Naboo. It is in Dee’ja Peak that the Nabooan Parliament Building rests, and so it is here that Nabooan political power is centred.
Other Towns: Theed – a small farming community along the banks of the River Solleu. The eponymous capital of Theed state.
Keren – another small farming community. Again, the eponymous capital of Keren state.
Gungan towns – Otoh Sancture, Otoh Langua, Otoh Jahai, Otoh Raban, Otoh Urs (each led by its own Boss)
Inhabitants: The Gungans – divided into two genetically distinct subspecies, Otolla Gungans (a slimmer, more agile subspecies, whose eyes are mounted on the end of flexible eyestalks) and Ankura Gungans (a larger, heavier race of Gungans with green skin and hooded eyes set in their heads).
It is still a thousand years before the Otolla and the Ankura Gungans will unite as one – and therefore a thousand years before the construction of Otah Gunga. As such, they live in their own separate tribes and towns (although open hostility is rare).
The Naboo – recently (about two-hundred-and-fity years prior to this period) migrated from the Core World monarchy of Grizmallt, the Naboo are a largely nomadic people. Most of the Naboo wander the vast expanses of Naboo’s grasslands and mountains, caring for their animals. However, a small number have gathered in rudimentary – if beautifully crafted – towns and have begun to set up the beginnings of a modern government.
Each of the new Nabooan towns has a hereditary Prince or Princess, who is eligible for election to the lifelong post of High King or Queen. This High King or Queen resides in the political centre of Dee’ja Peak, from where he or she leads and rules the Nabooan townsfolk, as well as trying to keep the peace between his or her people, the nomadic Naboo and the indigenous Gungan tribes.
Current Influential Nabooan Figures:
High Monarch – High King Benadu of Naboo
Senator – Prince Sarala of Naboo
Prince(ss) of Dee’ja Peak –
Prince(ss) of Theed –
Prince(ss) of Keren – Prince Sarala of Naboo
Boss of Otoh Sancture –
Boss of Otoh Langua –
Boss of Otoh Jahai –
Boss of Otoh Raban –
Boss of Otoh Urs –
Religion - The Naboo, like their ancestors the Grizmallt, worship a whole pantheon of gods. These gods - or rather goddesses - include Mother Vima, the Mother of the Gods; the Goddess of Safety; and Shiraya, the Moon Goddess.
The Naboo also believe in a hell-like realm they call "Chaos". Chaos is kept separate from this world by seven gates - making seven a lucky number for the Naboo.
