Destini Xist was not happy. Though Naboo was a beautiful place any time of the year, she would have rather be staying on Coruscant. Though it would be nice to see her friend again, Coruscant was where she belonged. That was where the spotlight was. The fame and fortune. The paparazzi. The agents and holofilm offers. But here she was, waiting for a couple of lousy Jedi to escort her. Why she had ever agreed to it, was beyond her mind.
It seemed that ever since she had become famous, rising through the ranks of stardom on Coruscant, more and more "cousins" had been appearing, asking for money or other favors. At first she had thought it fun and just laughed if off. But now her personal comm numbers were unlisted and only a few very important important people had them: Her parents, her brother, her agent, her publicist, her bodyguards, her hairstylist. Otherwise, no one should have been able to get in touch with her without first going through the proper channels.
Like through sending fanmail. Like all holodrama stars, she got her share of letters from lovesick male beings and the starstruck kids asking for autographs. It was all so very sweet, but with her busy schedule, she just had her publicist or a bodyguard scribble in the corner of her headshots before sending the holos out to her fans.
Most of the flimsi sheets she got were pretty harmless as well, besides the ones asking for favors or just telling her how awesome she was. A few of them did turn a bit creepy, but that was what she paid her bodyguards for. Besides, none of those crazies ever followed through on their threats to her fame.
Not until now. And even now, Destini refused to believe that they were to be taken seriously. But apparently her agent did, along with her head bodyguard. They were seriously worried about her welfare, considering the nature of the threats. To them, it didn't just sound like some crazy jealous fan who was angry over something in the holotabloids or a holodrama she had done or whomever she had appeared in public with to a premiere. No, they had surmised, these threats were real, and someone out there really did want to cause her harm.
With her Zeltron pheromones, she began to take them a little more serious. She could fee that their concern for her was genuine, and Destini was pleased. Her emotions swelled when she knew that people cared for her.
But after about a couple weeks of getting these threatening notes every day, things escalated when a bomb went off in her dressing room before she was to appear on a late night holoshow. Fortunately for Destini, she always arrived late, so she completely missed being blown up. However, the incident still scared her, and she upped her bodyguard detail, including a couple undercover ones.
Though these threats continued to try to disrupt her life, she wouldn't let them. If Destini Xist couldn't handle a little trouble, how would the galaxy ever believe her characters in her holos? Especially the ones that were thrillers. No, she had to put up a brave front for her fans to show them that she could not be pushed or pulled in any direction. She would be Destini forever. No one could ever change that.
While she continued to live her life of luxury in the spotlight, going to lots of parties and nightclubs, pampering herself and her friends with spa treatments and massages, attending awards ceremonies (she was never nominated but still enjoyed a good time with other stars), her security team had gotten the Coruscant police force involved with their investigation. They gave them every single ounce of evidence against the attacker: flimsi notes, flowers, everything that was ever sent to her or found at the scene of a crime. They jointly scoured through everything looking for clues to whoever was threatening the star's life.
When another attempt was made on her life, her agent, bodyguards and closest friends begged her to leave Coruscant. Or to at least leave her penthouse suite in her skyhook to somewhere more protected that they could watch 24/7. Because as long as the attackers knew where she was, they would never cease to stop until they followed through on their listed threats. Destini just blew it off, still partially thinking it was just some crazy fan who wanted attention. After all, she hadn't been harmed yet and was still perfectly fine. They continued to wage their warnings against her, pleading that she could somewhere more safe, somewhere they could secure against threats.
She wouldn't hear of it. Destini Xist wouldn't be one to hide away in some dark hole somewhere. She needed to be in the spotlight. And so against her wishes, when a friend invited her to come spend a week in Naboo's lake country, the Zeltron jumped at the invitation. After all, they wanted her to leave Coruscant, didn't they? As she packed for her vacation, her head bodyguard continued to plead, asking that she go somewhere safe. Or at least take security with her. Destini waved it all off, saying it was only a vacation. She only needed a few things. Even her hair stylist was staying behind. Her friend would have security at her estate.
Finally, after showing her all the evidence they had from the attackers and explaining to her the seriousness of the situation, she agreed that the Jedi Temple could send a couple of their best Jedi to protect her. Her argument was that if these people were so dangerous to her, wouldn't they easily kill her bodyguards? Even so, the fact that she would have Jedi babysitters was not exciting her in the least.
So here she sat, one of the biggest stars in the galaxy, waiting for a couple of Jedi to arrive and join her on her personal yacht, the Pink Kiss, before she could leave for Naboo and see her friend again. Hopefully after just a few days there, her friends and family and business associates would realize that the danger wasn't really there. That they were being overprotective.

Yes, it could be dangerous sitting here alone, but she wasn't alone, having thought at the last minute to take along her personal chef. Stardom often brought along picky eating, and for Destini, she was no exception. He also looked bored but tried not to show it, standing nearby on the other side of her gathered luggage.
In her head, she checked off a list, hoping she remembered everything. She had, after all, eight luggage cases filled to the brim for her week-long trip to Naboo. Not thinking of anything she missed, she leaned back on her bench and recrossed her legs the other way, showing off her supple pink skin. Skin that was a lot more prevalent than the actual attire she had on: a deep violet halter-top dress that showed off her cleavage and only came down midway to her thighs. Destini leaned down, fiddling with a strap on her shoe, waiting.
