Mission Name: Take No Prisoners Mission Participants: Elsie Therin [sparrow] + padawan Eaite Nayrus [Midnight], Val Adeera [Valadin] + padawan Rein Akai [Anackis], Xierra Zalq [Mara] Planet: Metellos Mission Briefing: Weequay Jedi Knight Tas Bey and his padawan have disappeared on Metellos. The two were sent to gain intelligence on Templar Forge,a local crime lord who may have possibly had ties to a larger galaxy wide syndicate. All evidence from their last communication suggests they have been captured. Your mission is to rescue Tas Bey and his padawan, avoid bloodshed if at all possible. NPC Players: Templar Forge [DireWolf], Tas Bey [Jace] Link to thread in Jedi Temple --> Estrogen OverloadLink to thread in Metellos --> An Offer He Can't Refuse Thread to discuss plot ideas and details for the mission, including but not limited to: How do the Jedi find Forge? What traps does he have in store for them? What really happened to Tas Bey? Does Forge have his own rancor pit? If so, what color is the rancor? Does anyone have a better name to collectively refer to the three jedi that isn't Jace's Angels? Yeah, important stuff like that.

Or, what is the rancor's gender?
Anyway.... Do we want to start this right on Metellos, then? Or have the three Jedi meet up on Coruscant/Jedi Temple first?
I'm all for getting this under way, but I think it might be nice for them to have a brief thread at the Temple before leaving off.

Do you think it's best for the Jedi to find Forge fairly quickly, or should they have to do a good amount of searching. The searching stage might include having to win some competition (swoop race, martial arts tourney, etc) in order to get his attention, or having one of their own taken prisoner so that they can track Forge by tracking their companion.
Also, given that Forge is a crimelord and he'll be facing down three Jedi, what kinds of cards should he use to even the field? Poisoned drinks? Hostage situation? Hidden Ysalamir?

Well Metellos has apparently got a huge urban population, which would make finding one man very difficult. I think searching and researching is going to need to be in order. My Jedi is very persuasive with the Force though, so she might be helpful with that. As for getting to him - game tournaments are usually the way to go with getting noticed in the underworld, though I suppose infiltration or getting on his staff are both viable alternatives.
I doubt he'd have a rancor on Metellos, unless he's insanely rich and over-the-top. Poisonous gas and droids would probably be the minimum. A rancor could be fun though as long as we don't end up re-enacting Episode 6 ^^.

So perhaps Val uses her persuasion/people skills to find the contact who...
a) is hiring new personnel for Forge. Could be anything from mercs to dancers. b) gets our heroes signed up for whichever competition that would allow them to get Forge's attention c) direct them to the bounty office where they can try using a fake prisoner d) something else
What do y'all think?

Maybe a combination of a couple of those.... Maybe one goes undercover and the other two get into a competition? I dunno. My Jedi will be the newest and probably just go along with what her "superiors" say.

I know this thread is probably for you people with your fancy player characters... but I might as well throw in my two cents, seeing as I am NPCing the Antagonist for this plot *Mwhahahahahahaha!*
Forge definitely would be one for seeing Elsie as a dancer ; D
Joking aside... this is probably the best option, it was the one that struck a cord with me anyways. You may also need to do something to convince the contact that you are infact, worth his time. The Jedi mind trick is always good...
anyways... there is my two cents... have fun

So shall we start this in the temple? My character has some piloting experience so we could just take a small transport out if it's convenient.

Also:
Maybe we should figure out our Jedi strengths? Maybe it could use decide positions.
Xierra is trained in Ataru (besides Shii-Cho), good at hand-to-hand combat. Not sure if she is super proficient in any Force abilities. I would have to look.

Elsie also needs to meet Midnight's Padawan character Eaite, and the Temple's a good place for that. Maybe we should figure out our Jedi strengths? Maybe it could use decide positions. Elsie is proficient in Niman with a touch of Makashi, as well as Echani hand-to-hand fighting. She is strong is Force body techniques (jumps, speed, endurance, etc), while being weaker in the telepathy department (no mind tricks for her).

Shii Cho mastery with a bit of Niman and starting Sorensu. Average Force skills, but as I said very good with words and persuasion. Piloting and repair knowledge, so can fly and fix a ship in some cases. She's smart and quick. Doesn't like showing off her scar though (embarrassment reasons, partly) so keeps it covered 90% of the time.

Im basicly the same as Sparrow. I have alittle bit of training in Echani Hand to Hand, and am barely touch in Soresu, Niman, and Jar-kai.

And are we going with Mara's suggested title?

Hahaha, cool. Looked around at Xierra's profile again. Her Force skills are pretty general, but she has a bit of talent for telepathy/telekinetics .... Plus, she's Falleen, so mind tricks don't work on her. Sounds like we got a healthy balance of skills here.
