Another dawn on Coruscant, another day locked away in the temple. Fredrick walked through the corridors as the light danced in from the high windows. The temple felt alot less like it had when he had first arrived. What was once his first true home, his first glimpse of the greatness he could achieve, was now just a prison to him.
He had grown irritant and testy in the time since the death of Master Kilgrim. He longed for adventure, excitement, anything that would break the monotony of spending another month as an unwanted padawan, left to skulk the halls of the temple while others were off exploring the galaxy.
Granted, he wasn't totally "unwanted". He could pick up the odd lesson or meditation session here and there with any of the Masters not currently away on a mission or off teaching their own padawans but it just wasn't the same. Most of his time was spent reading the vast archives in a thirst for the immense knowledge which had been unimaginable on the tiny spec of farmland on the backwater planet of Naboo that he had once called home.
But the archives and solitary meditation could only take him so far. While the padawans he had trained alongside while under Master Kilgrims watchful eye were well on their way to undertaking the trials he was going nowhere fast, learning only what he could from the limited training sessions that were run by any Master or Knight who had the time.
And there was little else to do. All offworld travel was prohibited for padawans unless accompanied by a higher ranking Jedi, as was any travel around Coruscant itself. Besides, the streets of Coruscant were too dangerous, even for a Jedi. With the ever looming threat of the Sith growing ever closer the council had taken steps to assure that as few force sensitives as possible were seduced by the darkside.
Fredrick paced down the corridor, starring at the ground, deep in thought, allowing his feet and the will of the force alone to guide his steps. Maybe today would be the day that one of the Masters would return and he would finally be free to continue his training...
((As you can guess, I'm looking for a Master to take Fredrick on. Please read his Bio if you're interested.))
