The Temple archives were quiet which was a boon to Erfies at the moment as he browsed through several documents and holobooks. The aged Guardian's blue eyes scanned titles of vast amounts of information, not really sure he was looking for anything in particular. It had been only a day since he had been allowed back fully into the fold, only previously been under the watchful eye of the Council. Such was the actions taken for one whom had come back to the Order after so many years.
But he had proven himself, the lightsaber on his belt evident of this. What to do now was a mystery to the Jedi however but this morning had been different then most. He awoke from a dream, perhaps a vision, that told him to come to the Jedi Archives. The purpose was unknown but the Force was without a doubt involved along with the fact that Erfies FELT he should be here.
What for was still eluding him but there was plenty of material to read here, so he could wait. Hopefully this would be solved before he went for his daily routine of physical training. While the Force was a gift to enhance the body in time of need, it was good to keep the body in top condition for whatever the future may hold.
Scratching his beard and smoothing out a crease in his robes that he saw as he looked, Erfies eyed a Makashi lightsaber manual. His hand grasped the book and flipped through a few pages, feeling that this would do for the time being. A refresher on his chosen lightsaber style never hurt. Taking the book, his boots soft clunks echoing slightly around as he made his way to the reading area.
He chose a chair close to a window, the warm light coming from it being a welcomed addition to the scene as he sat at the table and opened the book.

((sorry man, but as you may have guessed my muse for Ryn is at an all time low. Seriously, though, sorry for the craptackular post))
Ryn sighed. He was a Jedi Guardian, meant to go out and defend the innocent and helpless... not be forced to anchor himself to the temple. To say that the man was frustrated would be an understatement. It felt as if the Force was calling him towards the Archives... strange. With a slight huff he headed into the library, grabbed a book, and sat down next to an aged guardian.

(OCC: for shame Mr. Wolf >_>)
Reading was a pleasure, specially when it pertained to something of interest. Erfies however did smile when he recalled his first coming to the temple, as a padawan he didnt care for studying from old "dusty" tomes as he had always said. Asodek had always reminded him that knowledge can sometimes be more deadly then even the strongest weapon, even a lightsaber.
As he continued to read, a nudge came to his mind along with another presence. The presence of another Jedi. Looking up from his book he saw a man whos mind seemed more then a little flustered look through some books. The name of this individual escaped him, he hadnt been around long enough to recognize and name each and every Jedi that walked by but something seemed different about this person.
He went back to his book but watched from the corner of his vision as the man grabbed a book and found a seat next to Erfies himself. A smirk came to the old Guardian.
"You seemed troubled lad" Erfies said, still looking upon his book but not really getting anything from it. There was something about this knight, the Force had made that clear and he was going to find out what. For not even Erfies could ignore the blemish on the Knights spirit. A weakened part, oh so small yet that wasnt what bothered Erfies.
It was the fact that the blemish had a sense of familiority to it.

Under normal circumstances Ryn probably never would have bothered with books; while they were great sources of knowledge, wisdom, and learning he just prefered to learn by doing rather than by reading. But, what choice did he have? It seemed that a few of the people that he used to spar with began to treat him as a pariah the instant that they heard about what happened on Korriban.
He moved out to cover Lon, but could not really throw himself into the fray for fear of killing the bothan Jedi. Then for some odd reason he felt the need to call out to the Dark Jedi that he met before, Grawn, and "finish the fight." It must have been Korriban effecting him... that was the only explanation.
The voice of the aged Jedi Guardian that sat next to him reminded him of reality and thrust him out of his musings. Was something troubling him? Hell yes something was troubling him, the young Knight wanted nothing more than to stretch his proverbial legs and go out somewhere, preferably on a mission. It wasn't that he was looking for adventure and excitement so much as he hated staying in one place for so long doing absolutely nothing of value.
Ryn sighed, he realized that he couldn't read a book with his Force sight. "Wow, Ryn... just... wow.... you are an idiot my friend," The young Jedi couldn't help but think as he looked up at the Jedi who was still reading his book. He was at somewhat of a loss to say; the boy didn't want to whine about his current position... but he didn't want to ignore the man either.
"To be honest, yes, there is... though I am not entirely sure how to give you a straight answer without sounding like I am whining."

The Jedi Guardian could only chuckle. Ah youth, never wanting to sound like the whiners. Sometime whiners are the ones who get things done.
"Dont worry my friend, im just an old Knight with nothing to do but read from even older books. Or at least i like to think anyways" Then realizing he hadnt even introduced himself, he looked over at the boy. "The name is Erfies Ianie, a returning Jedi. One who realized his true role in the schemes of the Force and returned to make amends"
Closing his book he placed it on the small table next to his chair and realized something odd. Nearly missing it, he turned to look upon the man before him and realized that his eyes were white. The white of a blind man, unable to see the world as so many took granted for. He didnt fail to notice the slightly scarred flesh around the rim of the sockets and realized that this man had lost his vision of no natural cause.
"We all carry our burdens my young friend and i dont mean your lack of vision. One should not close their mind off from others because there afraid of consequences. If you believe what is to be said is just, then it has meaning", Erfies tried to act like an old wise man like he should at his age. If it worked he didnt know but all he could do was wait for the lad to speak. Many questions rose but Erfies was patient, the Force brought him here for a reason and it wouldnt let him down. It never had.
