Jarael Orlryck rode the speeder bike he had been forced to steel across the sandy landscape of some unknown planet. THe memory of his transport crash-landing burned in his mind. They were making their decent when an unexpected atmoshperic wind caught their left stabalizer engine. The wind was so pwoerful, that it tore the engine off of the transport. With quick thinking, the pilots quickly launched the two Jedi passengers from the transport. Jarael had landed some ways away from the crashed transport.
He had gone to inspect the crash site. No survivors. He went on the search for the Jedi Master he had been told to accompany on this mission. His landing wasn't as lucky as Jarael's. The Jedi suffered from a broken neck, which had killed him instantly. Jarael hated to do it, but he took the Jedi's lightsaber, not having one of his own. He walked for hours, until he found a speeder bike by some salvagers. Jarael ran for the bike, flipping over the salvagers that had attempted to subdue him, then punched the ignition switch.
He blasted away from the site. His dark brown cloak flew in behind him as he continued his ride. Jarael wasn't paying much attention, when his senses alerted him of danger. He turned the speeder swiftly to the left. It skidded to a stop above the rocky wall of a canyon. It was a deep gash in the ground. Jarael hopped off of the bike and looked down the canyon wall.
He could faintly sense another being down there. He didn't who or what it was, but he had a feeling the Force was trying to edge him torwards it for a reason. Jarael looekd down again, before he stepped over the edge. He slowed his decent some, then landed on one of the many outcroppings of the wall. This one was about ten feet down.
Jarael continued the process of lnading on outcroppings, until he reached the bottom. Now that he was closer, Jarael sensed the being was dark, twisted. He pulled the lightsaber from his belt and thumbed the ignition button. The blue blade popped up from the cylindrical handle in Jarael's hands, eminating a soft light over the dark area. He walked a few meters down the canyon, before he spotted a figure silhouted against the slight darkness.
He might have had the element of surprise, if it were not for the humming of the lightsaber clutched in his right hand. He quickly devised a plan. He gathered the Force into his legs, then leapt up onto an outcropping. Gathering the Force again, Jarael ran to the edge of the outcropping and jumped off, propelling himself forward. He flew torward the figure, doing a flipp in midair to land just to its left. He swung the lightsaber immediately for the being's left shoulder, hoping to injure it.

Altra sat peacefully on the rocky floor of what seemed to be the bottom of a canyon. Peacefully for her, that is. Whenever she was around life ceased, and those that life seeped through the cracks were destroyed with the mere hit of a red blade. However, Altra could sense no life in the perimeter, which comforted her deeply.
Hours earlier Altra had been riding on a lone ship when she sensed a task needed completion on the very unknown planet she sat on currently. She wanted to simply pass by, but her mind wouldn’t let her. She somehow felt compelled to land on the rocky planet. Paranoia set in, and before long she found herself wandering across the terrain, the seemingly larger sun beating down on her. She wasn’t use to this type of landscape. Yes, she had spent time on the sandy and hot planet of Korriban, but the majority of her life differed. She was born on Togruta, a well-populated, humid, and forest-covered planet. She later traveled to Coruscant, and lived for a time on Nar Shadda, both large cities in which you couldn’t take a step without seeing a person. However, this planet was simply dead. That word seemed to sum it all up.
So will was what brought and kept her on the planet. As time elapsed, Altra grew bored sitting in the sand. The sun was turning her crisp as her skin began to chap. She grew sleepy, and before long her eyes had closed and her thoughts went black. She fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.
A large buzz woke her. She sprang up, startled. Her heart began to beat, and she felt a lot heavier. She could recognize the sound of the buzz from a mile away. It was the sound of the ignition of a lightsaber. The surprise clouded her senses for the moment, and she could not think properly. Her normal reaction would be to ready her weapon, but somehow her thoughts began to run wild. She thought of the worse. Was a rivaling Sith coming to hunt her, or even worse: a Jedi? Only time would tell.
At the picture of her thoughts, Altra was motionless. She stood, jaw dropped, eyes wide, as if she had seen her own death. The sound of the lightsaber drew closer, but Altra could not find the strength to move. Suddenly a great pain was felt in her left shoulder. Altra fell to the ground, grasping the wound. She had been hit. Not only that, but she had been hit with a lightsaber.
Her fears worsened, and her thoughts covered the pain of her shoulder, as they were much worse. Her vision blurred as she was petrified. She made out a figure in front of her, holding a lightsaber. She recognized the advanced hilt, and knew it could only belong to that of a well trained Knight or higher rank. Her lips trembled as she made out, “Pl-please! I beg of you! I am unarmed! Do not kill me!”
