Hey all, its necro here and I anted to set up a thread for us so that we could talk about star wars galaxies and the things involved. We will be hosting weekly or bi-weekly rp events on the game over the summer.
but first.. FAQ.
Q:What is SWG?
A: Its one of the best online games. Its an MMORPG ((massive multiplayer online role playing game))
Q: does it cost money?
A: technically yes and no. If you want to play the current version then yes you would have to subscribe to SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) however, the emulator, which we will be playing on is free.
Q: what is the emulator and why is it different?
A: well the emulator is being hosted by a company in chicagowhos goal is to restore SWG to its prime before the game developers turned it into every other mmorpg out there. The game is pre NGE and pre CU, thus it is the golden age of the SWG mmo. Trust me... the ability to be unique is infinite.
Q: why do this ?
A: well cause star wars fans around the world have been waiting years for this and this june, the company will be done and after years of work be ready to launch the free public server. (also because members from here wil be on it!)
Q: how do i join?
A: you will need a copy of the original game which you can purchase or dowload, and then install. then after installation of the core game, you just need to download the emulator, click run and your in.
If there is any other questions I'm here to help... and so are some of the mods.

Back to the main point of this. We will be doing rp events and so on in the game so we will need a crew of players if you will to join up... protagonists.. antagonists.. and so on. factions in this game go as usual.. rebel vs the empire. you can choose to be neutral but what fun is that. rp'ing in game will b much like on here but will be live action. also..... we will developing stories and such so sign up! the character classes and info for the game can be found on their main page: www.swgemu.com/
