Appearance: Renji stands five feet and seven inches tall and weighs one hundred thirty pounds. His build is well-toned, but not overly muscular. He has long limbs, and therefore a great wingspan. Renji has a fare skin tone and bright, fire-red hair. Long black tribal tattoos stretch from his brow, back to his hairline. These tattoos also appear on his back stretching upwards. Renji always wears lightweight clothing similar to that of the Jedi, but generally darker.
Personality: Renji is a quick-witted, ill-tempered individual. He loves a challenge, especially a good fight, and his confidence suggests arrogance. He can be very cynical at times and finds it hard to trust others.
Abilities: Renji has been formally trained by a Dark Jedi, thus his knowledge of the Force is extensive. Renji is proficient in many dark arts and has learned certain Force abilities, such as Force-choke, Life-drain, and Force-whilrwind. Renji is a very skilled fighter, and wields his lightsaber with deadly accuracy. Renji is also a good pilot and a fair mechanic.

Bio: Renji had a fairly average upbringing in a normal middle-class family of Dantooine. He had a mother and a father who both cared for him. Renji never had a brother or sister, but his friends Baato and Saito were like his brothers. They grew up together and were always with one another. And eventually they all joined the Republic Army.
While in the Army, Renji often butted heads with his peers and this was sometimes at the dismay of his superiors. Renji's friends advanced through the ranks much more speedily and were content with their roles, however Renji was not content. And this discontent grew day by day until one fateful day he was introduced to his future-mentor.
While on a routine voyage through neutral airspace, Renji's ship was attacked by a small force, eventually identified as Sith. The ship sustained massive damage and many soldiers escaped the ship via escape pods. Renji was one of those soldiers, but his close friend Baato sadly was not. He was killed by a Sith bombardment just before the spaceship capsized. Renji escaped to a small nearby planet along with a few others within the escape pod. Among the others was a Jedi, who was accompanying the ship in its trek to another Republic world.
While in refuge with this Jedi, Renji discovers his own force-sensitivity which opened his eyes to a much larger world. The Jedi had intentions to train Renji to be a force-user, but Renji was still very angry about the loss of his friend Baato. The Jedi introduced himself as Alavaya, and wielded a purple lightsaber and told Renji that their meeting was influenced by the Force. Renji was told that he did not have the right to refuse the will of the Force. It was destiny that Renji be stranded on the small planet in contested space, because he was meant to be a Force-user, meant to be Alavaya's apprentice. There was something comforting to Renji in this line of thinking, as if somehow his friends death was also justified as the 'will of the Force'.
Alavaya trained Renji relentlessly, often past his breaking points. This sparked many spats between the Master and the Apprentice. These angry outbursts became more frequent until one day Renji actually struck his Jedi Master with the blade of his saber. Alavaya was injured and retaliated with the dark arts. He used Force-lightning to tame Renji's emotions, and once he did, he revealed more knowledge to Renji.
The fateful meeting between Alavaya and Renji was not merely the 'will of the Force'. Alavaya revealed that the attack on the ship was planned for the sole purpose of 'acquiring' Renji. This enraged Renji beyond sanity. All he could do was think of the death of his friend and how the dark figure Alavaya had been the cause of it ... NO ... he was the cause of it. It was all for him.
Renji lashed out at his mentor with every ounce of strength. He attacked relentlessly while heaving Alavaya around using the Force. In this battle of wits and strength, Renji's Force powers were taken to the next level. He graduated to a higher-level dark force user. He could even feel the Force bubbling up within his body just before he unleashed his Force Lightning for the first time. It's hue was purple and it arced out at Alavaya, striking him and electricuting him. When the smoke cleared, both men lay on the ground unconscious, but both still alive.
Renji's body shut-down and focused all its energy toward rejuvination. His wounds healed rapidly, while his mentor lie on the ground near death. Before Renji revived, the mysterious Dark Jedi, known to Renji only as Alavaya was gone. There were tracks suggesting a rescue group had recovered Renji's wounded tutor. Renji was left with his new knowledge and abilities and weapon (orange lightsaber), but with no real direction.

Sample Post: He just sits and recollects his thoughts. Relives the fight, step by step, blow by blow. His mentor ... holding back, underestimating, toying ... even as Renji used the force to throw his master to the ground ... still Alavaya laughed, showing that his arrogance exceedes Renji's. He begins to mutter to himself under his breath as he paces around the room, face bent to the ground where he studies the many footprints.
"... bet you didn't think that lightning was funny ... You stopped laughing then didn't you? How did I do that? I can't remember that part ... Here ... here is where the others came in and dragged him away ... That's definitely a large boot-print ... Not like our prints that patter the whole floor ... We trained here for weeks ..."
After he gathered his wits he stopped pacing, dead in his tracks, and suddenly realized that he didn't know where to go from where he was. He knew he had to get off this planet, but he didn't even know which planet he was on. Since he arrived here his focus was turned to the Force. All he really knew was the planet was a lush one, full of forests and hills and river valleys and towering blue mountains.
He had traveled to a nearby town only a few times before ... average enough looking inhabitants ... only he never remembers seeing a male. Maybe he could go there and find help and maybe escape this planet ... But what then
