Bio: Generally considered the most inept padawan in his class. Despite his lack of lightsaber skills or control over the force, he tends to be incredibly lucky. After barely passing his rites of initiation by a fluke involving an accidental force push, a Jedi counselor, and a large distraction, Trent was promoted to knighthood. For a short while he accompanied his master on council appointed missions. When his master was vaporized in a horrible engine wash accident, he fell out of contact with the council due to his lack of skill and experience. Feeling that he was without a purpose he took up the task of protecting the streets of Corellia. After many months and many close calls he met up with René Aventine and joined her on her smuggling ship.

It was late in the evening when Trent Garrick found himself in a small Corellian slum bar sharing a table with his new friend. The fact that she was a smuggler disturbed him less than the fact that he was helping her out. He rocked back in his seat and let out a sigh.

“Well Rene, If you had told me when I was a Padawan that this is where I would be, I would laugh at you (although I may not have been surprised). I was pretty much at the bottom of my class. It still amazes me that I made it through my trials.”

Trent reached out instinctively for his Corellian noale, feeling the presence of the waiter droid approaching. This time, however, his instincts were wrong and he only succeeded in toppling over several glasses of various drinks onto a twi'lek woman that was walking by at the moment. Not staying to listen to Trent's barrage of apologies, the woman gave a look of disgust and stomped off.

“So I was given this assignment to fulfill the requirements for my Trials. I was supposed to retrieve a valuable artifact that had been stolen by a Rodian street gang in the lower city. Well I assumed since I had to be courageous and direct, that I would have to just run right in without much of a plan. So after finding out that the gang liked to hang out in a certain bar I went for it. I charged into the bar with my lightsaber in one hand and a blaster in the other and kicked over a table. It is at this time I realized that it may not be a good idea to wing it, but my knighthood was dependent on it, and the force would guide me through. Someone came in the door behind me but I didn't have time to look back. I shouted 'I am a fearsome Jedi knight! If you value your lives you will drop your weapons and listen to me!' As I rushed over to the leader I was amazed that the entire bar indeed dropped their weapons and froze. I jumped over a table and demanded the leader to hand me the artifact, then made it back to the academy unscathed!”

Trent leaned back and took a drink of the new Corellian noale that had been dropped off by the waiter droid. “I found out later who the person was that came in behind me.” He chuckled “Apparently it was a famous bounty hunter in the area, accompanied by his team and covered in weapons.”
