Star Trek
My dad was a HUGE Star Trek fan. While growing up I watched it all the time with him and we kids teased him about his name, Cleon, calling him a Klingon. Well the new movie actually looks decent. I just thought you might enjoy this report on it.

If there is no Spock, there is no Star Trek.
Spock pwns.
And that is how my thought process operates. X)

I've literally never seen a Star Trek episode...but the movie looks fantastic and J.J. is a decent director so I'm gonna be there for sure. Oh and since I'm not a Trekkie I won't be so pissed.

Haha... maybe.
It helps that I didn't watch them for fun; they were shown in a couple of my classes in college.

Well that's a good excuse to watch Star Trek I guess.
I'll just tell everyone it was the only movie playing at the time...

You know that clip, in the vid, where they show Kirk fighting with the guy in the lizard suit? Yeah, I've seen that episode. X) There's this off-the-wall network that showed the original series a while back... we'd DVR it and watch it last summer. X) It was entertaining. Did you know that when they filmed, there weren't automatic doors, so they actually had people in the walls operating the set pieces? X) roffle. History, 101. lawlz. I do so love modern special effects...

If there is no Spock, there is no Star Trek. Spock pwns. And that is how my thought process operates. X) SPOILER! Well, yer in luck...cuz there's two...so double the pwn, depending on how you look at it. I just dislike the idea of having the movie be about "the beginning" when the original crew gets together...and then having it in a parallel dimension so you don't really get to see the origins of the crew that people came to know and love via the show and the original movies. Kinda seems like a cop out to me when you want to make money off of a franchise but can't figure out how to do it better. But the movie, for a movie's sake, was still good. I like the fact that they brought back the fate of the Red Shirts. I found that hilarious.
