Trace sat in the med bay of his starship "Eclipse". His medical droid finished patching up his arm and reported the status to Trace.
"The wound has been sealed shut sir. Chance of infection, 3.68 percent.
"Thank you," replied Trace as he stood up. He walked through his ship to the cockpit where he peered out over the desert landscape. Tatooine was the worst planet he had ever visited, but somehow, Trace loved it. The Mos Eisley spaceport was always bustling with crowds of smugglers and bounty hunters, and made Trace feel more at home. He wasn't that far away from his second home of Nar Shaddaa but it seemed further than he was happy with.
Stepping off the end of the landing ramp, Trace closed his ship tight to ensure that no thieves could break in and steal it. He knew his way around the port of Mos Eisley fairly well and headed to the cantina for a drink. Being off duty allowed him greater freedom and he had saved enough credits to blow a few on cheap cantina drinks. He sat at the bar and got the bartender's attention.
"Let me get a drink," he said. The bartender poured a glass and went on with his menial tasks. Trace looked around at the people surrounding him. There were hundreds of different races of aliens in Mos Eisley and it seemed that most of them had decided that the cantina was a good place to be this particular day. Rodians, Twi'leks, Humans, and many other races were at the cantina and in the general area. Trace finished his drink and decided to head out and have a little fun in the desert with his blaster. He walked to the Hunter's Lodge and stepped inside the door. Trophy heads lined the walls. Desert wraids, Dewbacks, Banthas, etc. lined the walls, stuffed and priced. This is where Trace planned on making some extra credits and having fun. The Hunter's Lodge was like a bounty office except the bounties were on the heads of creatures that roamed the desert. There were the usual bounties on wraids and the gaffi sticks of the Sand People but Trace wanted a challenge. He wanted something that would test him but that would also reap him the rewards of credits. As he looked through the postings he came across one such bounty. There was a collector looking for the pearl of a Krayt Dragon. Trace had heard about Krayt Dragons but had never actually seen one in person. They were the most dangerous creatures in the desert. The collector, however, was willing to pay handsomely for this pearl and Trace couldn't resist the credits. Now he just needed a few extra hands to help out because there was no chance he could take down the dragon alone, assuming there was only one dragon that is.....
He put his transmission code and hunting license number up on the posting and decided to head back to his ship to await any transmissions from potential help.
