Mirian smiled as she entered the training hall of the Jedi temple. She had come here to finaly try and choose a padawan learner of her own. Though she had her reservations, about taking on a student, the council had insisted that she was more than capable of handling one at this point in her life. So with the support of the council and her peers she accepted the request to teach her own learner.
Inside the training hall Mirian could hear many students training, under the supervision of a few knights. She lowered her head as she reached out with the force so that she might properly see the students currently practicing their lightsaber forms. She could see that some students were much older than others, some even had to be close to the cutoff date, though this was of no real concern to her.
Mirian turned as an individual approached her. She could tell by his heavy stepping that he was a male, and through the force could see that he was much taller than her. "You must be Mirian" His voice was deep but pleasant and he held out his hand as he spoke to her. "I was told you would be here today to help train with us"
Mirian Smiled at him and nodded "Yes... I'm also looking for a padawan" She said quietly, so that no one else would hear, as she shook his hand. She Let out a little sigh as she slipped off her cloak and her foot guards. She folded the cloack and placed it gently on the floor next to where she stood. She stepped foreward into the training area and was immediatly confronted by many younglings stopping their training to welcome her.
She smiled and said a personal greeting to each. It was then that she noticed the older group a little better. In fact one student in peticular stood out amongst all of them. She stood slightly taller than Mirian, and seemed to have a similar build. Mirian was intrigued and watched her for a few moments while the oothers continued to train. The girl seemed impulsive, but was certainly strong, and very gifted with a lightsaber. A moment or so later Mirian started walking towards the older group of students.

It started out as a normal day. Celeste had woken earlier than her friends, but remained in bed, as she did every morning, for another ten minutes or so, silently praying that today would be the day. There was, of course, no way that the girl could have known that today really would be the day. Then she'd headed to the dining room to eat breakfast. She ate slowly, savoring the great food (another pro of her Jedi life), talking to her friends at the same time. Their breakfast conversations used to be about anything and everything, random things of life, the cute boys, whatever. As of lately, the remaining members of her group of friends at the Temple had talked solely about one thing- when would they get chosen? Celeste was particularly insistent that she would get chosen first. She couldn't have realized how right she really was.
It was to the Temple, after breakfast, that Celeste headed. She ran there, to warm up, beating her friends. When she got there, there were only a few other students, and a couple of instructors. As she'd been doing the past few weeks, she began warming up with some laps and weight lifting, without even being prompted. After all, the stronger she was, the more likely she'd be chosen, that was how the girl figured it. Fifteen minutes into her warm-ups and she felt ready to begin. With the idea that today just might be the day in mind, she headed over and grabbed a practice saber. Quickly, she fell into the familiar drill patterns, and was so comforted that she allowed her mind, and eyes, to wander.
There were more younglings in the room now. All of those her ages, a group of only 5, including Celeste, practiced in one corner of the room under the direction of a Jedi Knight. Other students of all ages, though younger than her group, were spread out all over the room, some learning the very basics of the lightsaber while others learned more complicated drills. Celeste and her group were the best, the most experienced, and the oldest. And of her group, Celeste was the best, with her lightsaber at least. Oh, there were a few students in the temple that could beat her, of course, but they were small in number. And honestly, Celeste loved being one of the best, just as much as she loved just feeling the saber in her hands swish through the air.
Lunchtime came quickly, but the girl was starved by the time. Lightsabers weren't easy work. She ate quickly, enjoying the food, still chatting, though not as much as at breakfast. It was after lunch that the day changed. At first, nothing was different. She walked back to the Temple with her best friend, and the two began a mock fight against one an other. While she couldn't match up to Celeste, the girl whom Celeste always hung out with was still quite good, and the two learned a lot from each other. But back to the afternoon. It wasn't ten minutes that they were practicing when a Jedi Knight entered the room. Jedi Knights visited a lot, and often times they looked for Padawans, often times they were the reason Celeste's group had dropped greatly in number. Celeste's heart skipped a beat the moment she realized a Knight was entering the room.
"Arianne, wait." Celeste dropped her saber slowly and took a step towards her friend. "Look!" She pointed towards the doorway where a short, female Jedi Knight stood. The girls took a look at the Jedi, then back at each other. Their expressions were mixed. They were excited, and at the same time quite anxious. They were also sad, because chances were fairly good one of them, or their yearmates, would be chosen, and they'd miss each other. But excitement won out on Celeste's face, though she tried to hide it. This really could be the day. With a start, she realized the female Jedi's head was turned in their direction. Quickly, Arianne and Celeste began again to mock fight, but Celeste put more energy into it now. They both did. Their fighting was at it's best, and the reason was obvious.
When the Jedi Knight walked towards Celeste and the older students, Celeste fought to remain calm. She concentrated on the swish of her green training lightsaber, cutting through the air. It calmed her, as she waited. Waiting. The tension in the air was thick, or so it seemed to Celeste as she silently prayed as fiercly as she had ever.

As Mirian got closer to the pair of girls that had been mock dueling with such intensity, she could feel the excitement coming from both of them. The girls were both incredibly skilled, but One was still better, the one that had first caught her notice. She stopped several feet short of the girls and watched them silently. She took the oppurtunity to See them through the force a little better, as nothing could truly be hidden through the force. She smiled again feeling the power and energy coming off of her new prospect.
Mirian continued to watch the girls for several moments. Though she could not actually see them, she was able to percieve where they were and how they moved through the force. The girl in question, was incredibly skilled in the shii cho form, despite the fact that she could only be 12 or so. This was an impressive feat that could not be overlooked.
"Excuse me ladies" Her voice was soft but still loud enough to be heard even over their training. "I was wondering if i might interupt for a moment?" She was curious to see how this girl would use the force. Mirian remained aware that she herself was no expert force user when she was picked, and even remembered being one of the least adept in the force in her age group. Regardless of the girls force talents Mirian was sure that this girl would make an excellent padawan. But she wouldnt say such things yet.

Fighting had to be the most soothing thing possible for Celeste. Whenever she got angry, which was often, she'd go fight a practice droid or work on her saber moves to cool off. If she was sad, less often, but often enough, she'd go swish the lightsaber through the air at her imaginary enemies. It worked, every time. This fight, this mock fight, wasn't nearly as intense as some fights Celeste had been in, but it felt important, so she did not let her guard down for even a second, but paid close attention to each particular blow and parry. Just as she was almost calm again, her concentration was interrupted by a female voice. Obviously the Jedi's, as all the teachers for the older students were male, save one that wasn't there that day.
Celeste and Arianne quickly stopped the fight as the Jedi Knight asked a question that really wasn't a question at all. It wasn't even a request. It was practically a command. No, it was a command. Of course, because it meant that the Jedi had some interest in them, it was a command both girls liked immensely. Their training sabers fell to their sides, and then they were withdrawn. Celeste, being the more outspoken of the two (though Arianne also had quite a reputation as a chatterbox) was the first to talk, as always. Her voice was well controlled for someone with such obvious emotions.
"Of course, Master," she said with a small bow, as custom dictated. "Is there something we may help you with?" Her voice was even, but Celeste had to force her body not to shake a little from excitement. The lightsaber lay in her hand, quite forgotten. It would remain that way, hopefully, if this Knight was really the one. Celeste couldn't really tell what to make of her yet, except that she obviously saw not with eyes, but with the force, something the girl would have a hard time managing. It didn't honestly matter, though, what Celeste thought of the Knight, because any Knight would do. Any Knight would be better than the AgroCorps.

Mirian could feel the excitement of the girls when she spoke to them, even with them fighting to keep controled she could still feel it. No doubt these girls had been waiting a long time to be approached in such a way. Immediatly upon her asking, the girls had stopped fighting and now stood waiting, while the girl Mirian was interesed in spoke up. She had bowed politly, and asked how they may be of help.
"My name is Mirian, and i have been watching you for a few moments."Mirian turned her head to face towards Celeste "And im very impressed. Would you mind coming with me for a moment." Mirians voice was sweet with a tone of excitement. She was curious to see how Celeste would react to being pulled aside from her fellow classmates.

Mirian. Watching them. As the Jedi spoke, Celeste registered it all with suppressed excitement, eyes focused on the Jedi Knight that might be her ticket out of here. Impressed? Speak to her? It was all slightly dream-like. At the same time, she felt a small pang. If everything went right, she'd be out of here in no time, but Arianne wouldn't. Still, Arianne was almost half a year younger, and she still had time. Celeste didn't. Not like she could really refuse the Jedi Knight's offer, even if she'd wanted too. As she nodded, she felt her best friend's hand come over, grasp her own, and squeeze a tiny bit. A gesture of good luck. Celeste gave her friend a small smile and stepped forward.
"Not at all, Master," she replied, still being extremely formal, aware that she was being tested at that very moment. "My name is Celeste." She almost added 'and this is Arianne', but stopped, realizing that the other girl had slipped away to practice elsewhere. Celeste smiled inwardly, wondering what she had done to deserve such a good friend. "Is there something you wish to speak of?" Celeste knew the process, and figured that Marian would now want to test her force usage, or something of the like. She crossed her fingers as she awaited a reply.

Around them the other students continued to train, though several had stopped to observe Mirian's interaction with Celeste. Even a couple of the other knights present were now watching with anticipation. Mirian however had her full attention on The girl, and for good reason, this would prove very important. "Its a pleasure to meet you Celeste." Mirian could appreciate how nervous the girl was given the situation. She remembered how she felt when she was chosen. "I wanted to kno why you were here. More specificaly why do you train so hard?"
She took a few steps away from the student and then turned to face her. Mirian held out her left hand pointing it towards a bench where a few training sabers now laid, their masters taking a much needed break from training. In a flash one of the sabers jumped off the bench and flew accross the room landidng smoothly in Mirians hand. It ignited instantly in a sleek sharp blue blade. Though not capable of killing an opponent Mirian was fully aware of the sting that they could inflict on another.
Mirian pointed the saber, that was about as long as her own shoto blade, towards Celeste hoping she would understand Mirians intentions. She had wanted the girl to duel her and anwser her questions, this way she could not fake an anwser. Mirian would know the truth whether it was spoken or not. She spun the blade lightly in her hand bringing it to rest in a reversed grip.

Out of the corner of her eye, Celeste was vaguely aware that she and the female Jedi were being watched. Of course they were. The other younglings were always interested when one of their fellow students was talking to a Jedi, even though it was none of their business. Celeste noticed her friends, a ways away, practicing, and watching her as well. There were even, she noticed, a few of the instructors watching them, probably curious to see how the Jedi reacted to Celeste. She even noticed one of her favorite instructors, a male Jedi Knight, giving her a small thumbs up before turning back to work with a smaller group of kids. All of this, of course, she noticed in the back of her head, focused on what Mirian was saying, and doing.
"Why I train so hard?" Celeste was temporarily taken aback by the question, but not for long. She regained her senses at the same time that Mirian was picking up a training saber, and she answered confidently. "I want to be Chosen, to train, and someday to become a Jedi Knight." It was a simple answer, and a simple truth. It wasn't the whole truth, of course, because it didn't include the fact that she didn't ever want to stand in someone else's shadow again, or her want to travel. If the Jedi Knight wanted those, she could ask more, Celeste figured. If not, then those answers would do.
Noting that Mirian had ignited her lightsaber, the training one she'd just picked up, Celeste did the same with hers, a little hesitantly. It wasn't like she was scared of dueling, or anything, there could be nothing further from the truth. She was just unsure or what Mirian would want next. If Celeste was lucky, it would be a duel of some sorts. Even though the girl could never hope to beat a full Jedi Knight in a duel, she could show her talent. She suspected, though, that there were more questions to come. Let her ask them, Celeste thought. I can do this, can't I? More confidently, she twirled the training saber a little in her hand and let it fall into position in her palm, waiting.

She wanted to be a jedi knight, Mirian could only smile at Celeste's words. She could tell that they were the truth, she did truly want to be a knight, but it seemed that there was something else that she chose to keep hidden. Mirian did not allow her thoughts to dwell on this hoever, as Celeste activated her own training saber. They would duel here, this would be the first test, to see if this girl really wanted to be a knight. To see if she would hold back now that the chance was there to have it.
Taking a few quick steps towards Celeste, she began her attack. Mirian would fight in the same shii cho style that the girl already knew so that they might be on more even terms. The blue blade hummed as she brought it up and swung it around her own body. "Show me that you can be a knight" Mirian said in a sharp voice. She could also sense now that most all the training in the room had stopped, and some of the younger students were even being moved to another room to continue their training in peace.
Mirian hoped that Celeste would try to use the force in this duel, whether or not she was powerful enough to effectivly use it. Mirian turned again now only a few feet from the girl, this time she brought her left arm around swinging the reversed blade towards the girls own saber. If she did not understand what to do now, then at least her saber would be struck and not her. If she did understand, and countered Mirian would need to keep on her guard to avoid being singed herself.

Celeste relaxed a tiny bit at Mirian's smile. Smiles, the girl had learned, were generally good signs. Not always, though, but most of the time. Of course, she was not able to relax much more than a tiny bit. She was still on her toes, waiting for the opportunity to really show that she wanted to become a Jedi Knight, and to prove that she should be given the chance. This was her opportunity she'd been waiting for, and she had to make the best of it. She wouldn't let her guard down, not for a second. All her training was ready to kick in. In short? Celeste was ready, readier now than she'd ever been.
With a little twirl of her training lightsaber, Celeste picked up a defensive stance, saber ready. She'd fought with it many times before, now would be no different. Her right arm, holding the saber, was tensed. She wanted to show Mirian what she could do. As the Jedi Knight swung her left arm around, toward Celeste's own saber, she was prepared. She brought her own weapon in a downwards curve toward the female Jedi's, striking the other blade with her own from the inside. She then brought her right hand up, quickly, elongated it, and slashed towards the woman's shoulder.
((OOC; i'll be learning along with Celeste, how to write fight scenes mainly. ^^ I usually RP real life genres where fighting does not really occur, so this is a bit of a challenge for me. Please, I'd love feedback on my writing in the action scenes in general. ^^ Thanks, Lea))

(OOC: Thats actually pretty good. If you ever need help with fight typing you can always ask me. Ive done alot of RP where thats mainly alll they do. But I think your already pretty good.)
The blades let off a small static crackle as they made contact. Mirian was always amazed with how a weapon that could be so light, could also be so solid. This again was demonstrated as the blades had not broken or passed through each other, they had remained locked in place as if both were steel rods. Mirian had only a second to react as Celeste had already countered with an aggressive strike at her shoulder. She stepped back and lower her body a fraction of an inch so that the blade would pass clean by her.
It would seem though that she had not payed close enough attention to Celeste, and as a result had faltered in her own defence. A slight sting could be felt in her shoulder, one that signified that the girl was better than she had originally guessed. Mirian folded back as she brought her own saber now to push aside her opponents blade. The sabers crackled again as they made contact, and as both sabers pushed to the left, her right arm came up and she directed the force through it in the form of a telekinetic push. Nothing hard, but certainly enough to catch Celeste off guard.

Celeste stared at Mirian, ever so slightly amazed. She had not expected to be able to hit the female Jedi who had years more of experience. Her hit, obviously, was credited to the fact that Mirian had not realized quite how fast and well Celeste could strike. And now she'll be ready next time, Celeste thought to herself a little grimly. The element of surprise was gone, now the Jedi Knight would be ready to defend herself better. But so would Celeste. She felt pressure on her saber and pushed back. She didn't see Mirian's hand coming up until it was just a little to late. Pushed by the Force, she stumbled back, but caught herself and set herself back into a defensive position.
It was time to at least try to use the Force as best she could, and show this Jedi. Raising her left hand, she directed the Force into her own telekinetic push, countering the one against her. Celeste had plenty of energy and strength. That had never been the problem for her. The problem was that she did not have enough patience to sharpen her skills. Still, putting her energy into it, she managed a fairly strong push. She held back only a little bit as to keep from being too tired out to fight, but not much. This was the moment-it couldn't wait until the next day or the next month, or any other time. Now or never, Celeste thought, and directed a little more energy through the Force. Her lightsaber arm remained tensed, ready to defend, as she attempted to push the Jedi over without touching her.

Finally Mirian got what she wanted from Celeste, a show of the force. The girl had anwsered her push with one of her own, and despite lacking a certain degree of focus, it certainly held alot of power and potential. Mirian could feel herself sliding backwards, from Celeste's push, and had to straighten out her legs and lean into it to keep from falling over. In a flash she recovered from the attack and spun to the right to get out of the way of the rest of the push.
She smiled and straightened herself up to a standing position again. With a quiet hum the blade she held deactivated. "You are very skilled and could go a long way in the Jedi order, I would like to help you become a jedi knight. If you truly want this than i will take you as a padawan." Mirian took a few steps towards Celeste as she spoke. These words had felt almost foreign to her, as she had never pictured herself taking a padawan yet. Still she felt confident in this decision, now more than ever. She stood now waiting in silence to see how the girl would react to the news of being chosen.

Celeste was into it. Normally her pushes were less strong. It was her total focus on getting what she wanted now, right at that very instant, that put more power into her telekenetic push. It still wasn't anything like what a Jedi Knight could do, but she allowed herself the tiniest of smiles as she saw that when Mirian did not do anything to counter it, it did affect her a little, until the Jedi slid out of the way of the rest of her push. It was a personal victory, and Celeste inwardly cheered. The cheer didn't last long, though, before the nervousness came back. The Jedi Knight was sheathing her saber, which could be either good or bad new. Good, prayed Celeste. Let it be good. She sheathed her saber as well and let it fall comfortably into her hand, hanging by her side.
Hearing what Mirian said, Celeste was shocked. In a good way. In a very good way. She wanted to scream, to shout, to cry tears of joy. Of course, she did none. Rather, she took a moment to settle her emotions as much as possible, replied in the most calm voice she could manage. "Thank you very much, Master," she said, masking the excitement and joy she felt inside. "Your words mean a lot to me." A lot was an understatement. Finally, she was being recognized. "I accept the offer to train as your Padawan." She bowed her head, out of both respect and thankfulness. Once her head was hidden, bent so that Mirian could not see her face, she grinned. A huge, silly grin. It remained for only a second before Celeste reigned in her emotions to the point where she could slowly bring her head back up, no more smile, finishing the miniature bow and waiting for the Jedi to say something else and finalize the procedures.

Mirian could feel the strong emotions coming from Celeste, excitement, joy, pride among other of the same nature. As her new padawan bowed Mirian couldnt help but feel her own sense of pride, in choosing such a talented padawan. After Celeste had finished her bow, Mirian responded in kind, tilting her head down, and bowing slightly. All she had to do now was let the council know of her choice, and hey would officially transfer Celestes care to her. As mirian stood up again her thoughts began to dwell on how she would teach a student. How she would design lessons, and even what those lessons would consist of. She quickly dismissed this thought, allowing herself to feel comforted by the fact that the force would guide her in this undertaking.
[colro=purple]"Come with me Celeste, we have much to do and prepare for now"[/color] She spoke softer now, almost whispering. She turned now to leave the training hall. She walked at a brisk pace, knowing that her cloak and foot covers near the entrance. As she passed the bench she placed the training saber down where it had come from. SHe turned now to face Celeste "You should say goodbye to your friend as we may not be back in these halls for many months." Mirian was aware that these connections and bonds were dangerous, but as her padawan was still so young, and had grown up with this other girl, that it would be wrong to sever such a friendship completly.
Mirian turned again and walked swiftly to her items. Stopping at them she turned to watch Celeste through the force as she bent down to pick up the dark cloak. In one fluid motion she spun it around and over her shoulders, buckling it at the neck. She then slipped on her foor covers one at a time still observing her padawans reactions. She waited now leaning against a collumn by the door.

Along with all the emotions she felt, Celeste also felt a new sense of curiosity as her new Master bowed her head slightly in return. Though life at the Temple was exciting, there weren't that many new things to learn and do, and Celeste liked to learn. Even the Force, she was willing to learn better. Her adventure was just starting, and she was very excited. The only sad thing was saying goodbye, now, to her friends. Mostly Arianne-she'd miss the others too, but not nearly as much. Love would not be part of Celeste's Jedi life, but she was young, and not having friends was out of the question. Missing them would be natural. She nodded at Mirian's words, and headed off in the opposite direction of her new master, to where Arianne trained at the other end of the room. Trained would be the wrong word- stared at Celeste in excitement as well would be more correct.
"Ari!" Celeste squealed, hugging her friend. "She chose me. I'm leaving!" Finally, the with-held excitement was out, shared with Celeste's best friend. The words were happy, but at the same time a little sad. It was a real goodbye, and the first in Celeste's life that would really affect her at all. She'd not minded saying goodbye to her parents, they had never loved her as much as her sister anyway. The friends of hers who'd been chosen weren't great friends either. It was Arianne that she'd miss.
"That's amazing, Celeste!" Ari shared her friend's enthusiasm and returned the hug. "I'll miss you, but hopefully we'll see each other again. Go get 'em." The girls' many years of friendship made more words unnecessary. With the smallest of smiles, and just a couple of tears, the two girls hugged goodbye one last time. Celeste said a quick goodbye to her other friends, then she was off. Only one of her instructors was in the room at the time, but he was one of her favorites. She spoke a few words goodbye to him as well, and he gave her advice, and then the girl headed back to where her new Jedi Master waited near the door.
"I am ready," she said. "What do we need to do now?"

((OOC: I am so sorry bout the delay...my internet line was cut... it will be fixed tomorrow mornin, and right now im at my moms usin hers comp..so ill post quick and we can resume as normal again tomorrow.))
Mirian turned as Celeste approached her again. SHe had already retrieved her garments and was ready to leave. As the girl spoke, asking what was to be done now Mirian smiled. ""Patience...before we would do anything else i would better like to know you. I have had no knowledge of you or any of the other students. In turn I would also like for you to know me." SHe spoke in a sweet small voice, almost sing songy. She continued walking now, with her padawan following.
""You know i have never actually been to tis temple before, in all my years i have never walked these halls. I must even admit i have met only a handful of the jedi that call this home" She spoke now in an admiring tone. ""It really is a beautiful place. I can feel the force so differently here, its so buzzing and alive." Mirian fell into silence now thinking of her home back on dantooine, or atleast the enclave that had become her home. Suddenly it now daned on her as to where she would train her student. Did she go back to her place of training, or find a new place to fit this student. Again these questions did not last as she smiled again and stopped. "Maybe you could give me a little tour of your home?"

Celeste, chided, nodded her head slightly as her new Master requested her to be patient. Patience had never been one of Celeste's strength, but now she was so happy she didn't mind being patient, for once in her life. With a last nod to Arianne, the girl followed Mirian, listening to her talk. Only half of her head was actually processing what was being said, the other was still trying to process the events of the last few minutes. So quickly, her life had taken a turn from the better. She had been deathly afraid her name would end up carved into the tree with the others who had left to use their gift of Force on crops. Not anymore- that worry was replaced by a new found confidence and happiness.
"Oh," Celeste said, slightly surprised by the request. Then again though, it was only a natural request, really. Master and Padawan always had to know each other well, and though some of it would come in time, talking about it was normal. "Yes, of course Master." She might have said more, but she stopped as her Master continued to talk. As she listened, Celeste was again a little surprised. Someone not knowing this place was a foreign idea to her, even though she knew it was very possible. It was true, the Force was very alive in these halls, something Celeste had always taken for granted, just like the safety of this home on Coruscant.
"Certainly," Celeste replied, a small smile lingering on her lips. Conveniently, Mirian had stopped right in front of one of the training rooms. She turned right, and motioned slightly. "This is the room where the youngest initiates begin training, Training Room I. As the rooms go up in number, the children get older. The room where we met is a general training room-many different ages of younglings train there." This was easy. It was like a well rehearsed speech- a speech Celeste had been waiting for years to give now.
"This is the cafeteria," she said, motioning to their right, after they had walked a little further. "All the initiates eat here. The Masters often eat elsewhere, but occasionally they eat with us. The female initiate quarters are a ways that way." Celeste pointed in the direction in front of, slightly to the left. "The washing areas are right next to them, separating our area from that of the boys. The Masters sleep somewhere over there, though I'm not certain where. It's close to where the meeting room for the Council is. I've never been there." Celeste added the last part unnecessarily- why an initiate like her would be in the meeting chambers of the Council was beyond her anyway. She pointed in a general right direction for the last part, then dropped her arm. "Yeah. That's pretty much it." She gave her new mentor a little smile, and waited for what she would bring up next.
(( It's no problem at all!!! I'm so sorry for my own late reply. Minor muse loss, if you know what I mean. ^^ But it's back now and I'm uber excited to roleplay Miri and Celeste's roleplay. Polite for now, but I'm thinking they'll start to butt heads as soon as they're off Coruscant and Celeste realizes that this is a permanent situation. :] Again, sorry about that. RPing time now, no? XD ))

Mirian followed quietly has her new padawan took the lead to show her around. Celeste now seemed more confident than she had moments earlier, perhaps the fear of not being picked weighed heavily on her indeed. Needless to say that was of no concern and the girl was showing a much more relaxed attitude now. They had stopped in front of one of the rooms, a training room, and Celeste had now informed her that it was for the younger initiates. Though she could not truly see it she could feel the energy coming from it, so many youths with dreams of being Jedi Knights had trained here. Their impressions, and excitement lingering for years to come. Mirian smiled now remembering her own younger years. Though she wasent fond of her early training, she could not deny the valuable lessons she had learned.
A moment later and the pair were off again. Mirian lingered a few steps behind Celeste now as they walked. She remained easily within ear shot, but far enough back to observe the force flowing through her padawan. The next stop was now the cafeteria, inside several younger students sat, eating what appeared to be a snack to tide them over till supper. Mirian had passed this room on her way too the training hall, but had not actually been aware of its purpose. Though now that she was able to slow down, she was able to better "see" the room. It was indeed cavernous, easily able to house many, if not all, of the students and their masters. No doubt this room would be used when everyone needed to be addressed together.
Celeste had now pointed down a nearby corridor saying that the female initiate quarters were down that way. She also spoke of the washing area, that was seperating the boys and girls sides. When she spoke of the masters quarters Mirian suddenly found herself speaking up. "The masters quarters are not close to the students? That is different. When i was being trained, on Dantooine, The masters were not a stones throw away. Then again the Enclave there is smaller that this temple." There was disapproval in her voice, despite her attempts to hide it. In Mirians oppinion the masters should be close, should any of the students need assistance. She made a mental note to ask the council here why they would have such a layout.
Mirian smiled back at Celeste, pushing the disapproval of the layout from her mind. "I can only imagine what it would have been like to grow up here..." She was interupted by a gargling noise coming from her stomach. Her smile widened as she realised that she hadent actually eatin since her ship landed on Coruscant. "I wonder if we might temporarily interupt our tour, for a brief snack." She gestured for Celeste to follow her as she started walking into the cafeteria. Aside from the younger students having their own snack, there were a few older students. From the looks of things they were studying for one of their classes as they had several large books proped up around them. They stared now as Mirian entered the room with Celeste following behind.
Mirian ignored them as she walked swiftly, yet almost silently to the far side of the room, where a counter held several bowls of fruit, and other food. It took her several moments to before she gently picked up a pear. Some items similar to the fruit she had chosen were slightly harder to see through the force, though still visible, they were nearly invisible. She had made the mistake only once, when she was younger, of grabbing for something she could not properly see, and had been rewarded with a long time stale biscuit that was rock hard. With her choice of fruit picked she turned again, and sat at the nearest table before taking a bite of the fruit. "So you have to be either 11 or 12? Almost at the cutoff date no? She asked after she had finished chewing.

Celeste was a little surprised at her new mentor's words. Celeste had grown up in a world where the masters lived far away. It had always been like that for her. They cared, of course, but adults and children lived in separate worlds, both of which the adults controlled. Even at home, before she'd been brought to the Temple, Celeste and her sister both had rooms on the opposite side of their large house from her parents. There were servants, at home, and here droids that could provide any immediate help, and honestly, Celeste liked it this way best, not having the masters constantly intruding on her privacy. She supposed that was something she'd have to get used to now that she had a Jedi Master.
In all her life, Celeste had never been off of Coruscant, and she longed to see the world. As her new master spoke, Dantooine sounded like the most exciting place to her, for she had lived most of her life in the Jedi Temple. To her master's next comment, Celeste nodded a little and followed Mirian into the cafeteria. She wasn't very hungry, but she wasn't about to say no. A snack at this time of day was not part of her usual schedule, so the girl had been trained, basically, not to be hungry around this time of day. Still, she wouldn't mind getting a bite to eat. There was, after all, very good food at the Temple. Trying her best to ignore the stares of some of her yearmates, and those a little younger, she followed Mirian to where the food was at the opposite end of the room. She grabbed an apple before following Mirian once again to a table. She sat gracefully.
"12, Master" Celeste replied. "My birthday comes in a couple of months, actually. Yes, very close to the cutoff date." She hoped to be able to somehow convey how close and how scared she had been. A couple of months could seem like a long time, but the girl felt like everyday without any Jedi coming to the temple had flown by so quickly. She took a bite of the apple, chewing and swallowing quickly as to ask what was on her mind. "I hope you don't mind if I ask this," she began. "But I have never been off of Coruscant, and I'm curious. What is Dantooine like?" Celeste had no probably asking exactly what she felt, and now that her passage off of Coruscant was pretty much sealed, she had no problem opening up either.
