Yeah, but just assuming they would be able to escape without Ean even trying anything, it seems awful close to godmodding to me, or just secret planning without letting me in on it. *shrug*


What happened to the plan of having Ryn joining up with Sam and Ean? Or the pirate attack by Arheim and his gang?


I just wish you guys would let me know when things changed.

no, we weren't planning on Ean NOT trying anything, we're waiting on your post to see what he does. I was thinkin Ean was gonna give us a bit of a fight, so i'm not thinking this thread is done quite yet.

As for Arh, I don't even know if his pirate is active any more, not to mention his crew has all but vanished. I don't think even he knows what's going on with that, so I've about as much of a clue on pirates as you do...

Ryn, however, was gonna be pulled from the plot either way (only found this out recently myself) so that he could rescue a slave and get a student...so Sam's logical idea is "get away from the guy who kidnapped me in the first place" I'm just kinda flowing with that idea. *shrug* all of this has been real recent, like....last two, three, days recent.

And, well, what Ean's thinking of doing, well, it probably would make it near impossible for you guys to escape. *shrug* But I'm still working out the kinks.

Well, I originally intended just to pull Ryn out of the plot for the ^ reasons, but it was only after talking with Tal for a bit that I realized that there was no way that Ryn would leave Sam (Ryn being all noble and all that jazz) alone to the man that kidnapped her. Especially after that little tussel that Ryn had with everyone's favorite meathead (xD jk). So, he did the Ryn-like white knighting
and asked Sam to join him.

Naturally, after thinking about it, Sam took the path that wouldn't get her possibly hurt or killed :/

And no, I didn't think that thread was over either. The only reason that I started the thread on Tatooine was simply because Meira and Bunny have literally been waiting months to RP with their characters. Otherwise I would have waited for Gundarks to be over before proceeding.

yeah, this is why I prefer to wait for a thread to be over before starting the next thread in a plot xD but yeah, as I said... Meira and Katie have been waiting way too long (for the symphony plot, which has for all intents and purposes died) and I wanted to let them RP with their shiny new characters.

He won't be. I thought that Sam taught him how to fly... and even if he can't fly then I'm sure that he could hire someone (NPC?) to either teach him or ferry him from place to place.

And, also... I just realized something that might help out.. Since you guys seem to be going after Greegar, right? Well, Greegar and Ean are kind of friends, so.. yeah. Whoo.

Aye, even though he quit working for him, Ean left on good terms, and Greegar will sometimes provide information for Ean as a favor.

I think it would be funny if when they arrived, Ean stepped out of the shadows and went, "boo!"

Anyways, while that would be quite comical, we do need to save Keilara's character via a very Qui-Gon Jin style (think with the dice and how he frees Anakin). Now, (Like that idea, Mara) I wonder if maybe, after we collect the bounty (it will take a few threads, trust meh) Ean is there when we get back? Should prove interesting.

Well, I'm just not sure how long Sam is gonna hang out with Ryn before getting back with Ean.


Anyway, I think before he leaves Mygeeto, while upgrading his ship and finding a temp. pilot, Ean will probably put out feelers to a lot of his contacts, one of them being Greegar. And then when he is ready to leave--a day or two later, how ever long it takes for Greegar to know Ryn is coming--he then contacts Ean about it.

After that, I'm not sure. Just get Ean to Tatooine, I suppose.

Okay, I was gonna PM ya Tal but after talking yesterday in the C'box, I thought it would be better to just discuss in here. Especially since Sparrow is now in the mix, sort of.

Anyway, I'd like to somehow get Ean to meet up with Sam while still on Zeltros. He needs to tie up some loose ends and focus back on his mission.

My thoughts are that somehow Ean and Felze (sparrow) stumble upon Sam and the pirates after they land on Zeltros. I mean, they did follow the homing beacon Ean put on the Sundared Star and are landing nearby.

So I see three choices--
--Ean and Felze enter your Salesman thread
--Sam and Pirates enter the Loose Ends thread
--Or we create a third thread for Ean and Felze to find Sam and pirates.

I'd like to wrap this Ean/Sam thing up on Zeltros, one, so he's not chasing them around the galaxy any longer, planet to planet. And probably will get super angry when he figures out the ship he's chasing is no longer being used. And, two, so I can move ahead and get Ean focused on finding Aunna, which is the main point of this whole thing anyway.

problem with the pirates idea:

it's unlikely anyone other than Ryn and Vesta will know Sam has been taken since she was taken in front of them and there was no one else around. I suggest you read the Salesman thread to see just what's going on if you haven't already. Also, there's a plot behind her being taken by the pirates that involves Ryn/Vesta/Sam so my suggestion would be to have us meet in a separate thread at the end of Salesman after Sam's rescue and after you two get done whatever you want to get done in your other thread. It won't be difficult to find a bombed house if he's figured out that the Star is being sold

1) if they're selling one ship, they'll need another...so where are they getting a ship? Does sam have a contact on that planet (yes...hence salesman)
2) where is said contact?
3) after finding the bombed house of her friends where might sam go next? (if ean does his homework it shouldn't be difficult to find out that her friends owned a ship selling business, where is it?
4) did they catch sight of Ryn/Vesta leaving the dock to track down sam and the pirates? (it would likely make things easier to explain if they did) or do they wait with the Exodus for Ryn/Sam/Vesta to return for their new ship? (also plausible if they see Ryn/Vesta take off running and see no Sam around)
5) whichever one they decide to do, don't expect a very coherent Samantha, and do expect a rather stand-offish Ryn (this would be the new thread where whatever happens happens)

I wasn't suggesting Ean/Felze would know about the pirates. I was just saying that maybe they accidentally happened upon them. And I've been reading the Salesman thread, except for maybe the last 2-3 posts or so.

But, anyway, yes, I agree that it would be better to for the meet-up to happen in a new, third thread.
In the meantime, I think Ean will be just investigating. Once he finds no one in the Star, that is. And maybe Felze can help a bit, with some slicing. Maybe sparrow can think of something.

Where exactly the split happens, I'm not sure yet. Depending on whether they're acting on information about the new ship/contact/shipyard or acting on a sighting of the rest of Sam's group. The latter might be easier to transition to a new thread, but I dunno.


Hopefully I'll have a better idea later when not so tired.

y'all gotta realize that I am running short on time. There are things that I would like to get done with the (seemingly) ever changing and fluid Ryn and friends plot. There are also people waiting to be involved with this (namely jackal). So, if you want to start a third thread or whatever thats cool... but please either: A) Don't take long, or B) Leave me out of it.

I would, personally, prefer to have everything gone according to plan. Well, the plan that Tal and I worked out... again. As I was, personally, looking forward to actually being able to describe Aphithiri blood rage, and Ryn as some kind of cute fuzzy wuzzy guy or whatever. And having the thread that I'd like to get done before boot being pushed back further and further is NOT something I want. ya know?
