EARLY YEARS: BEFORE RIVER
River Moonflow, was the son of an exiled Jedi named Kastus Moonflow and a Dark Jedi mother named Seriana Huewt. Kastus was just an exiled Jedi when he met Seriana on the planet of Dantooine. Within a year after meeting Seriana, he was married to her and already on the path to the Dark Side.
Three years prior to meeting Seriana, Kastus was exiled from the Jedi Order for killing a theif on Coruscant. Upon exile, Kastus left Coruscant for the peaceful planet of Dantooine. Where he worked as a farmer, just outside of Khoonda. One day, while tending to his crops, his farm was raided by some Dark Jedi and a few soldiers. One of the Dark Jedi, Seriana, sensed the Force in Kastus but didn't know whether he was a Jedi or not.
Only when Kastus didn't pull a lightsaber on the invading Dark Jedi, Seriana knew he was either exiled or untrained. Sensing the oppourtunity to add another member to their ranks, Seriana informed her master of this discovery. Instead of destroying Kastus' farm, they kidnapped him and took him to their base, where Kastus eventually swore alliegence to his new masters.
He was once again training in the force, but he was also falling in love with one of his captors, Seriana Huewt. After training at the Dark Jedi base on Dantooine for one year, Kastus married Seriana.
RIVER'S EARLY YEARS: TRAINING UNDER AND DEATH OF DREFAANA
River Moonflow was born in Khoonda, and immediatly Kastus could already sense the Force flowing in River. A few days after River's birth, Kastus and Seriana returned to the Dark Jedi Base with River. River proceeded to grow up under the watchful eye of his parents and his parent's master, a Muun Dark Jedi named Zeigerst Drefaana.
When River was four, he began to train under Master Drefaana. River trained for years at the feet of Drefaana, and was progressing faster than any other before or after him. By the time he (River) was 20 he had rose to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight before any other on the base. He rose to that rank by showing cunning with his lightsaber and his intelligence over others. River was proud that he was promoted and this caused him to become very bold. He (River) knew his lightsaber ability was far past many of the Jedi and Dark Jedi alike. But he knew that only when he defeated his master would he be truly the strongest Dark Jedi in the Outer Rim.
River, while his master was meditating one day, burst into the room and challenged his master to a duel. His master was happy to give his star pupil what he wanted. The duel went on for hours. River eventually got very cocky and left a hole in his form to where his master took advantage of the situation and gave a wounding blow.
River's father saw that his son was about to be killed and stepping in, he killed Drefaana with one swift stroke of his glowing red lightsaber. Upon Drefaana's death, Kastus and Seriana knew they must flee the base. Kastus knew they would be hunted by the Dark Jedi and soldiers on the base for "Treason" because he had interrupted a duel that was between master and apprentice.
Kastus and Seriana supporting their injured son, helped him out of Drefaana's Meditation Chamber, and they headed to a supply shuttle, that was docked in Khoonda. The ship was owned by a smuggler for the Sith named Criax Rayley, who took them off of Dantooine for a hefty fee, of a rare lightsaber crystal.
The crystal came from the oceans of Manaan, and could strengthen the blade of a lightsaber ten fold. No one knows how it came to fall into the hands of Dark Jedi Marcos Burkan. Burkan was killed by Kastus, who then took the crystal. The planet of choice for the Moonflows, was Corellia. Corellia was in Republic Space and the Moonflows thought they would be safe there.
RIVER'S TIME ON CORELLIA: DEATH OF KASTUS AND SERIANA
For five years after the Moonflows abrupt departure from Dantooine, they lived in a forest base on Corellia. Where River were running a cult called the Sons of Kressh, and Kastus and Seriana were members among it. The Sons Of Kressh was made up of those strong in the force, and found on Corellia. The members were seduced to the Dark Side by River. The Sons of Kressh masked their operations with bounty hunters and smugglers, by using an ancient Dark Side technique to cast a "shadow" over their operations.
Though the cult was about to be made defunct, for rumors began to spread though out the Core Worlds, of a Dark Jedi uprising on Corellia. It was said they (The Sons Of Kressh) had their base in a forest on Corellia. The Jedi, though hesitant to believe the rumors couldn't let them go unheeded. The Jedi dispatched small teams of Jedi Knights to various areas of Corellia that was densly forrested. It wasn't too long after that one of the Jedi teams found the stronghold of River, his parents, and The Sons Of Kressh.
The team of Jedi Knights were led by Jedi Master Valek Mastruk. The Jedi team, engaged the cult members who were aided by Sith supporters on Corellia in battle. About an hour after the fighting began, two Jedi Knights cut River off from his parents, and Master Mastruk battled with Kastus and Seriana for awhile. Eventually Mastruk struck down Kastus and Seriana. Out of anger of his parents' death, River killed the two Jedi Knights that had seperated him (River) from his parents.
As the cult members started to drive back the remaining Jedi Knights, River engaged Master Mastruk in combat. Though River used fiercer attacks then Mastruk, Mastruk was more agile and fought accordingly. After a short fight with River, a Jedi shuttle landed, and among the confusion Mastruk escaped. On Mastruk's escape, he picked up Kastus' lightsaber and fled form the cult base with his few remaining Jedi Knights. Out of dissapointment of not being able to fully beat the Jedi who killed his parents, River disbanded the cult for he was preparing to leave Corellia and return to Dantooine.
River had big plans for Dantooine, which included River taking control of the remaining Dark Jedi at the base he had grown up in and was later forced to flee. Before River's departure from Corellia, he decided to take on an apprentice. River chose the strongest member of his cult, a male Zabrak named Zim Anin. Zim was strong in the force, and was already begining to learn the ways of the Dark Jedi, and he was covered with black and grey tattoos. With the cult disbanded, and River's parents dead, the newly formed apprentice and master made their way back to Dantooine.
DANTOOINE / ALDERAAN AND THE REDEMPTION
Once River was back on Dantooine, he immediatly returned to the Dark Jedi Base and challenged their new leader to a duel. The leader was a cruel man named Bevassas Hasst. Hasst quickly accepted, thinking he could easily defeat River. River told Zim not to interfere in the duel, that if Zim were to interfere, River would never gain the loyalty of the other Dark Jedi regardless of whether or not River won.
The battle went on for what seemed like hours, but was in all acuality only an hour. River, who learned from his mistake battling the Jedi Master Mastruk, was fighting both fiercly and agily. While Hasst was fighting just using his brute strength and sheer size. Eventually, River killed Hasst and then showed Hasst's body to all at the base. The Dark Jedi, seeing their old master was dead, quickly pledged their loyalty to River. A few months after River's victory at the base, one of the spies River had dispatched to locate the ever elusive Jedi Master Mastruk, returned to River. The spy told him (River) that Master Mastruk had a base on Alderaan along with a small team of Jedi Knights.
It took River a few days, but eventually he was ready to leave to Alderaan with Zim and a small team of Dark Jedi Knights. Once they had arrived above the planet of Alderaan, the spy told River the coordinates. Those coordinates took them to a place on Alderaan that was far from any major city. That spot contained the base of Jedi Master Mastruk and Mastruk's team of Jedi Knights. River was preparing to land the ship away from the Jedi base, and then sneak to the base and attack it. Somehow, almost as if they were reading River's mind, the Jedi launched two starfighters to combat River's ship. While some of River's men stayed aboard the ship to keep the fighters at bay River, Zim, and the rest of River's Dark Jedi Knights used escape pods to leave the ship.
Once the escape pods had landed, and all of River's men rounded up, they marched on the Jedi base. Mastruk's Jedi Knights began to battle River and his Dark Jedi Knights, but eventually the battle went into the base. In the base, Zim spotted Master Mastruk and hoping to prove himself to his (Zim's) master (River), Zim went to engage Mastruk in battle. River, who was busy dueling some Jedi Knights, could neither help Zim or stop him (Zim) from going to attack Mastruk. At first, Mastruk was only aiming to wound Zim. When he saw that Zim was aiming to kill, Mastruk quickly brought down Zim. River, who was angered by Zim's death, killed the Jedi Knight he was dueling, and then went to duel Mastruk.
Though because River was getting more and more frustrated with every passing moment, he began to make mistakes while he was dueling Mastruk. The biggest of these mistakes, allowed Mastruk to not kill River but to injure him. While River was on the ground, a stray laser blast from the battle in the skies above the Jedi Base, struck the building sending debris and rubble crashing down on the combatants. As a pile of debris came speeding down towards River, Mastruk used the Force to get River out of harm's way even though it cost him (Mastruk) his life.
This act of kindness by Mastruk triggered something inside River, something that had long been covered by shadow and darkness. River, though injured, picked up his lightsaber and helped the Jedi beat back the Dark Jedi, the men River had led into that battle. Betrayed by their leader and sustaining heavy casualties, the Dark Jedi fled Alderaan and returned to their base on Dantooine. Once the battle had ended, the remaining Jedi Knights were unsure of what to do with River. Eventually they decided to take him to Coruscant to talk to the Jedi Council.
CORUSCANT: THE PATH TO THE LIGHT SIDE
After aiding the Jedi Knights on Alderaan, a shuttle came to take River to Coruscant where he was to be interrigated by the Jedi Council. Once the shuttle had landed on Coruscant, River was taken before the Jedi Council, and they asked him about his past and of his actions on Alderaan.
After River was done anwsering the Council's questions, he left while they deliberated amongst each other. After a while, River was brought back before the Council. They delivered their decision, they would train him as a Jedi. Shortly after River's acceptance as a Jedi, he was given a box containing his father's lightsaber. It was the same lightsaber that was stolen by Mastruk on the day his parents died. For the next six years, River was trained by various Masters and as the dark taint in him diminished, his connection to the Force grew stronger.
When River was thirty-two, River and another Jedi visited Iridonia, strictly for diplomatic purposes. Though unlucky for River and the other Jedi, Dark Jedi were on Iridonia. The Dark Jedi were searching for Force Sensitives. The Dark Jedi found out of their (River and the other Jedi) precence on Iridonia and attempted to kidnap them. The Dark Jedi had already bound up the first Jedi and then as they turned to bind up River, he used the force to get his lightsaber out of the hands of his would be captors. Using his lightsaber, he injured one of them and forced the other to flee.
Thus saving himself and the other Jedi. Upon his return to Coruscant, River was made a Jedi Knight. It was then that River decided to take on an apprentice. River chose a human female named Tionne Sularen. Tionne trained under River for five years, until River was made a Jedi Master at the age of thirty-seven. With River's promotion to Jedi Master there came heavy responsibilities. About three months after being made a Jedi Master, skirmishes broke out between the government of Onderon and the Beast Riders. River and his apprentice Tionne, were dispatched to Onderon as peace-keepers to try to end the fighting between the Beast Riders and the Onderon government.
River and Tionne had to aid the government against the Beast Riders, until River could negotiate a sit down between King Vescar of Onderon and Sivesk Bursset, the leader of the Beast Riders. After tough negotiations and agreements the Beast Riders agreed to stop fighting the Onderonian Government. River had succesfully negotiated peace, and with that victory he returned to Coruscant. It wasn't too long after River had returned to Coruscant, that he was given another mission. The daughter of a farmer named Goll Tymon had been kidnapped by a group of Mandalorian mercenaries working for the Sith on Dantooine. River decided to undertake this mission alone and leaving Tionne on Coruscant, River traveled to Dantooine.
Once on Dantooine, River followed up leads from various Khoonda citizens that eventually led him to the Mandalorian camp. The camp wasn't heavily guarded, but it wasn't going to be easy for River to rescue her. Being stopped by the perimeter guard, River used the Force to confuse the guard. This allowed River access to the camp. Once in the camp, he had to use the Force to make the Mandalorian guards believe there was a disturbance at the south end of the camp. With the guards gone, River located Jaina Tymon. Jaina was trapped in a force cage near some Mandalorian swoops. River quietly made his way to the force cage to free her. Disabling the force cage, River rescued Jaina and together they returned to Khoonda.
Once back in Khoonda, Jaina was returned to her father. After receiving many thanks from Jaina and Goll, River returned to Coruscant. Upon his return to the Jedi Temple, River undertook various tasks from training younglings to going on diplomatic missions. Whenever River wasn't traveling the galaxy or training young Jedis, he was in the Jedi Library studying the knowledge of the ancient Jedi. River was never afraid to share what he knew with any young padawan who craved such knowledge.
Four years after the rescue of the farmer's daughter on Dantooine, River was made a member of the Jedi Council on Coruscant, at the age of fourty-one. River considered this a great honor, and he knew this wasn't granted to just any Jedi. When River was made a member of the Jedi Council, Tionne got promoted to Jedi Knight. Now she travels with River not as an underling but as a friend and an equal. About one year ago, River left Coruscant but remained a member of the Jedi Council. Though River travels the galaxy and is rarely on Coruscant, he communicates with the Council through hologram. With Tionne he traveled around the galaxy trying to help the Republic in any way he can. With the increasing Sith threat, River is ready to take up arms and battle the group he was once part of.

The boarding ramp of an unmarked transport, sunk into the soft sand in Korriban's Valley Of The Dark Lords. Two people walked down the ramp, the leader of the two, was a man who had the hood of his Jedi robe pulled up to conceal his face. Behind him was a blonde haired woman who followed the man. They were River Moonflow, a Jedi Master, and Tionne Sularen, a Jedi Knight. River and Tionne came to Korriban on rumors that the remnants of The Sons Of Kressh, River's old cult, were hiding somewhere in the Valley. River, pulled down his hood and looked around, River could feel the effect of the powerful dark side presence that coved Korriban. "The dark side has a strong hold here. I can see how easy it is for someone to truly fall."said River turning his head to face Tionne, as they began to walk past the Tomb of Ajunta Pall.
"Master" began Tionne, "you shouldn't say things like that." River smiled and said "Don't worry Tionne, I was merely making a statement." looking up at the massive tomb, River frowned slightly. "We now stand before the tomb of Ajunta Pall. Pall was a powerful Jedi who fell to the Dark Side." began River"Pall greatly regretted his decision to become a Dark Jedi. He saw how the others around him fought each other for power. Eventually it destroyed them. The moral of this Tionne, is that someone may fall into darkness but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and if you truly want it, the light may replace the darkness in you." Tionne nodded, and said "I understand Master Moonflow"
River wiped the beads of sweat from his face and said "Tionne, we really shoul-" but River didn't get to finish the rest of his sentence. River looked around looking for the source of the disruption, and his eyes fell on the Tomb of Ajunta Pall as the tomb doors opened. Angry shouts from the raiders inside the tomb rang out, "Kill the Jedi! Kill the traitor! Show them no mercy!" Following the shouts, Dark Jedi and mercenaries alike began to pour out, they were the remnants of the Sons Of Kressh.
Leading the Sons Of Kressh with the emblem of Ludo Kressh tattooed on his arm was Korvas Mar, the cult's new leader. River and Tionne drew their lightsabers, as the men charged them. With the troops bombarding River and Tionne with blaster fire, River chose to attack three of the Dark Jedi, while Tionne was busy fighting a rather large Dark Jedi who was brandishing dual sabers. River didn't kill the Dark Jedi, but merely wounded them which allowed him to get away.
Tionne, forced pushed the Dark Jedi she was fighting into the tomb wall where he slowly slid down, unconsious. With Tionne's Dark Jedi subdued and the three Dark Jedi lying on the ground injured, River and Tionne started to rush back to their ship. River turned around and deflected a blaster bolt back to one of the troopers, who collapsed a burn mark in the chest of his armor. Before River could turn back around, he heard Tionne scream and then a dull thump. Quickly spinning around, River saw Tionne lying in the dirt with a Dark Jedi standing over her.
As the Dark Jedi was swinging his lightsaber about to do the killing blow on Tionne, River shoved his lightsaber in between the Dark Jedi's lightsaber and Tionne. Sparks flew, as River Force pushed the Dark Jedi away from Tionne. The Dark Jedi landed in the sand ten feet away with his lightsaber an additional five feet away.
The Dark Jedi tried to use the Force to retrieve his lightsaber, but River was quicker as the lightsaber soared into his (River's) hand. Helping Tionne up, and Force pushing the Dark Jedi away from them (River & Tionne) River headed to their ship but dropped Tionne, as he was face-to-face with Korvas Mar.
Mar looked at River with pure hate and said "You're going to wish you stayed with us, you Jedi scum!" and Mar ignited his lightsaber. River ignited his own lightsaber and lept at Mar, quickly severing his (Mar's) arm. Mar dropped in the dirt, screaming in pain and clutching where his arm used to be.
River turned off his lightsaber and picking Tionne up, helped her into the ship where he joined her moments later. Quickly raising the boarding ramp, River hurried over to the cockpit where he ignited the engines and rose up from Korriban's surface. Tionne was sitting in the co-pilot seat beside River, and looking at him she said "I'm sorry Master Moonflow."
River brushed it off and said "Don't worry about it Tionne." Tionne nodded and then looking out the viewport asked almost as an after thought "Where are we headed Master Moonflow?"
River typed in some coordinates, and looking at Tionne he said "To Coruscant. We're going to the Jedi Temple"
Tionne opened her mouth to speak, and then closed it again unsure of whether she should ask the question. River, chuckled and said "You want to know why were returning to Coruscant?" Tionne smiled apologetically and said "Yes Master Moonflow I do."
River replied "I know we agreed not to return to Coruscant until the Republic won, but things have changed. We went to Korriban to quash the rumors that the Sons Of Kressh were not there, but instead we found them. We need to inform the Jedi Council of this so they may take the appropriate actions against the Sons Of Kressh."
Tionne looked at River aghast and said "Master, do you really think the Republic and the Jedi are going to start a war to drive a cult of the world of Korriban?"
River, fidiling with the ship controls replied quietly "Not a war Tionne. Just an eradication force. The cult may be small and unimportant in times like these, but they could eventually prove to be dangerous."
