Bio: The Tionese were the Human descendants of an ancient Coruscant "sleeper ship" that reached the Tion Cluster in circa. 27,000 BBY. The Tionese established a proud ancient civilization within the Tion Cluster in opposition to the Galactic Republic established by other Human colonists in the Core Worlds.
The Tionese developed beam tubes in 27,000 BBY. They also developed their own version of the hyperdrive by fusing bits of ancient Rakatan technology with fixed-position hyperspace beacons, which allowed travel within a defined area but was dangerous when venturing outside the "lighthouse" network. This kept the Tionese isolated from the rest of the galaxy for millennia, though they occasionaly encountered the growing Hutt Empire.
From 25,130 BBY to 25,100 BBY, Xim the Despot (the son of a pirate whom in the Cronese Sweeps had carved for himself his own domain: the Kingdom of Cron.) attempted to vanquish the rival Hutts and become the master of the entire Si'Klaata Cluster. This campaign included the devastation of the once-lush Hutt world of Ko Vari in 25,105 BBY. However, at the Third Battle of Vontor, the Hutts unleashed their newly-found army of Klatooinian, Vodran and Nikto mercenaries on Xim's War-Robots.
According to Tionese lore, Xim was killed in combat though he had actually been captured by the Hutts and would die as a slave at the palace of Kossak the Hutt on Evocar. However, his treasure ship - the Queen of Ranroon -escaped to the planet Dellalt, where it would remain hidden for millennia. Following the battle, the Treaty of Vontor was signed by the Hutts, Klatooinians, Vodrans, and Nikto. This treaty set the Hutts up as eternal overlords of the three other species and of the Si'Klaata Cluster.
Following that, Xim's empire collapsed into several feuding states including Honorable Union of Desevro & Tion. Later, the Tionese states came into contact with the Galactic Republic and attempted to conquer it by travelling on the Perlemian Trade Route though the Tionese were halted by the establishment of the outpost world of Ossus. During the Tionese War in 24,000 BBY, the Galactic Republic came into conflict with the Honorable Union of Desevro and Tion which resulted in the capitals of both governments - Coruscant and Desevro - being bombed by pressure bombs. However, the Republic won the war by using its agents to stir up trouble in Hutt space, thus worsening the divide between the Hutts and Tionese.
Within a century, most of the Tion Cluster had joined the Republic, with the exception of Desevro which chose to remain independently proud and bitter. As a result, the once proud Tion Cluster became a backwater. However, the planet Lianna became the headquarters on Santhe/Sienar Technologies sometime during the Galactic Republic era. {Credit to Wookiepiedia.com}
Jahn was born to the House of Tion, one of the well respected families on Tion. After the battle with the Republic, Tion once more excelled. The Tioneese began to re-forge bonds with the Galactic Republic, though never joining officially. In an attempt to make peace between the two, Jahn’s mother offered him to the Jedi Order. Though the Jedi usually picked their own candidates for entering the Order, they made an exception for Jahn. He was strong in the Force and if they could train the teenage boy, it was possible that he could act as a representative of the Tion people to the Republic. When the council made contact with the boy’s mother, they found the boy to be nine years of age, over the normal acceptance level for the Order. The Council wanted to take the Boy’s younger brother, Vistule, in his stead, but his mother would hear nothing of that. It was her first born or no other.
So he began his training. Because of his setback in age, the Jedi watched over him very carefully. They followed his every move and pushed his body and spirit to make up for lost years. Because of the ever brewing wars among the Republic and outlying systems, his masters vigorously trained him in the Art of the Saber. If he were to act as a unifying Force to the Tion people, then he would have to play the Jedi part of the swashbuckler very well. Having set in his mind that the safely of his people was solely up to him, he would train himself when the Masters were not training him. At the age of 15 he made a friendly rival in the form of Traverse Belter. Traverse saw the boy as a potentially powerful Jedi but he noted Jahan’s tendency to do things his way. With Traverse he discovered his real talent for the Lightsaber. His style of choice was the duel-phase blade. With this unique style, in a moment’s glance he could effectively defend himself against one attacker, or, with his extended blade, he could hold back many. In payment for training, Traverse would make him meditate on the Force to promote balance and the ‘True Jedi Way.’
It was in one of these meditative trances that he came upon the discovery of the Unifying Force. This discovery changed his pelting path towards the Dark Side. He was 17 years of age when he came upon this ideal that few Jedi had followed. He believed that the Force was neither inherently Light or Dark and that the same followed for the powers and abilities that some related to a certain ‘side of the Force.‘ He believed that if one's intentions were pure, then the full power and presence of the Force was open to them. With his mind fully opened to the Force he could delve deep into its raw power and access its depths. He was enabled do the kind of ‘Jedi business’ that was not fit for other’s who dwell in the Living Force.
Upon acquiring a Master he found himself tossed into the chaos of the Universe. It seemed strange to him that his master chose high risk missions where Jahn often found himself to fend for own. It was during these missions that Jahn began to understand the need for real Jedi. Not just charismatic warriors who showed off for the Holo-Net, but individuals who were willing to get dirty for the overall wellbeing of the Republic.
Master Uthorn, unfortunately was a Holo-Net Jedi. He felt it necessary to take high profile cases that would win the Order renown. His master, undercover as a slaver, sold Jahn into a mining camp that exploited children and the elderly in order to gain favor in the organization's eyes. For six months Jahn was pushed to his limits in the labor camps. Deprived of food and rest, he spurred a revolt that resulted in the bloody collapse of that slave syndicate. In the end he learned two very important lessons. Because he had lost many of the friends and brothers he had gained in the camps, he now understood the Jedi value of detachment and the importances of living flesh. Also, he discovered that with the Force as his ally, he had the courage to overcome impossible odds. Tired, weak and beaten workers brought a criminal slave ring to justice. His master, of course, took the consequences.
In his last year with his over competent master, the team was chosen to disrupt a meeting of Dark Jedi and Sith diplomats. It was their mission to put off the meeting and prevent another sect of Dark Knights from joining the Sith ranks. A few well placed thermal charges later and the pair was thrust into battle. With surprise on their side, Jahn maneuvered the Sith representatives from the chamber and back to the hangar. There he was overwhelmed by battle droids and forced to cut off the hangar from the rest of the establishment. He had longed to finish off his adversary but knew if he had pressed he would be putting himself and the mission in danger.
With the Sith diplomats locked in the hangar Jahn made his way back to the meeting chamber where he left his Master with the two Dark Jedi. Upon entering the room, he noticed a stream of blood trickling from under a table. His Master was good at putting on a show. He lifted his eyes to where Uthorn was dueling the remaining Dark Knight. In one amazing and horrifying show, his master's step faltered and the Dark one took the advantage. Sweeping with an attack that took off Uthorn's leg and following with a thrust that sent the Jedi Master's beaten body to the ground.
Fearing the wost, Jahn griped his anger and terror and shot through the air, saber lifted in a swift arc. He proceeded to harass the Dark Jedi with blinding rage. He dipped himself into the Dark Side of the Force allowing its power to pulse through his numb mind. Though, with his enemy beaten, he did not release himself to the darkness within him. At the last moment he released his anger and let the passion fall from him. Enough damage had been done that day. Jahn let the Dark Jedi retreat nursing fresh wounds. Instantly he was at his master's side. Sweat streaming from his face he lifted the Jedi's body and carried him from the base. His spirit tested and free, Jahn was able to present the council with his Master's remains for an honorable burial.
His final mission as a Padawan was to infiltrate a mercenary organization without a master and bring its leader to justice where he could be tried for war crimes in Republic court. The leader of this cell was a man who had sparked wars between the people of Tion and the Hutts. If it were not for him, things would be different. Jahn would be living the luxurious life on Tion as nobility. But now it would be Jahn’s turn to cause a little chaos in his life. He successfully removed the cell boss but his report on how he had done so was unclear. The Council did not press the matter as they were sure if he had fallen to Dark emotions they would sense it. Further more the mercenary clan was not causing uprisings nor were they blaming the Jedi for the obtrusion. He had done the job the Council wanted, if not directly requested. Their enemy would bother them no more. Upon completion of this final trial of skill, he was ranked Jedi Knight of the Order.
Over the past six years he has often found himself on Aldaraan where he has taken the challenge of battling his demons. The sins of his past still haunt him and he seeks peace with the Force. It has become clear that if he does not find unity with the Force, his current method of tapping into the Dark Side for power, and Light Side for wisdom will tear him in two and forsake his Jedi Path. Jahn now sets his sights on taking a student but not before he is one with his Unifying Force.
