The Headquarters of the GAR, the Grand Army of the Republic. This monolith of a building, geometrically perfect as a cube, is seen by many in the Republic as a symbol of their safety. Here is where all major meetings between branches of the Miitary meet to discuss the galaxy's security. These meetings were usually few and very very far between.
However, it seemed as if one such meeting might just have to be called.
A man by the name of Gott came barreling through the front doors, he raced up to the receptionist desk and demanded to speak to a member of the Defense Council. The receptioist declined.
"You don't understand what I'm telling you! I have information of the utmost importance. It is a matter of GALACTIC security. They must know!"
The receptionist sighed.
"You can fill it out in your report..."
Gott swore. And then he swore again, pushing past the recpetionist and towards the lift.
"Sir! Major! You can't go through there!"
The Receptionist called after, her hand over the alarm button.
Gott just swore again.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Gott made his way up towards the third floor, the meeting rooms when he was lucky enough to have run into a general by the name of Varona. The Major raced towards the aged Twi'lek and handed him a datacard, panting.
The General's eyes flickered over the information on the card.
"Can you verify this information?"
"Yes, sir."
"On both Worlds?" "Saw the first with my own eyes, sir. And I got a message from a ship leaving the second, sir. They've been jammed, sir."
Varona quickly turned around and raced to his office, where he took hold of the red comm link. Straight to the Chancellor. He shouted into it.
"Chancellor Vilmar. This is General Varona. There have been some attacks, sir. The sith just took over Subterrel. And the Mandalorians just broke every line of that damned treaty. Intelligence has them in orbit around Mandalore, sir. As head of Outer Rim affairs, I advise you to call an extraordinary session. For all our sakes."
(Heckuva 600th post, huh?)

Supreme Chancellor Vilmar was just about to sit down to a nice quite meal and listen to his favorite Alderaani Composer when the red emergency commlink flashed. He sighed and told his protocol droid to save his meal for later.
He lumbered over to the desk, piled high with datapads and petitions, and flipped a red switch. General Verona shouted almost hysterically into it.
For all our sakes.", he shouted. Vilmar instantly became alert.
"How soon can you be there?".
^^^^^^^
Moments later the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic was racing towards the Senate Building in an Airspeeder reserved for him. And even though he tried to shake them off, all of his personal guard and acompanied him. They insisted that it was necsessary.
Growing on the horizon as a gigantic mushroom the Senate building saw many others going at breakneck speeds to get to the extroidinary session.

Nathan Hale was relaxing. Which was a rare treat.
The Senate had been a major pain in the rear, leaving him with little energy to do anything else at home. Then, to change it all...
His wife had come to visit.
Rebecca had been on Corellia, where she had been taking care of the kids and running the family buisness. It didn't require much, just an occasional speach, but it did require a person to be around to manage it. She had brought both kids too.
The reunion had been short but sweet. Nathan treated them all to dinner. Then all hell broke loose.
The Four CorSec officers normally faded into the background, wearing clothing appropriate for their jobs. Instead of Senate Guards, Nathan had insisted that he have guards from his own planet. Two were his, and two were Rebecca's. All four were men he would trust with his life. Which he did constantly.
As Nathan was trying to convince Jason that his lap was not a correct spot to place food, a CorSec officer stepped up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Sir, you might need to see this."
Nathan looked up at Rebecca, who had instantly turned serious. She nodded for Nathan to go, before the Senator stood up and followed the CorSec Officer.
They walked outside onto the balcony, where only a select few were brave enough to dine, in the wind and cold weather. The sunset cast shadows across the platform as Nate turned and looked at William.
"Ok Will, you've interupted my dinner all of twice in my life, once to save me from an assassination attempt. What's going on?"
The man wordlessly held out a datapad. It held the latest transcripts of what had gone on in the GAR Headquarters. Nathan tabbed down, looking at the message sent to the Chancellor.
"Damn."
Will looked at Nathan expectantly.
"Well. So much for that."
Nathan deleted the information on the datapad and clicked a button on the side. He tossed it over the ledge, as it fell, there was a faint pop as it's small internal charge exploded. Unless a motorist was looking directly at it, it would look like a diving hawkbat.
Each Senator normally had access to their world's intel network through the local embassy. In Corellia's case, it went straight to Nathan before going to the embassy. Having friends in the Royal Court back home was a definate aid.
"The Chancellor will be calling a session extremely soon..." William offered helpfully. The man was fairly bright, not enough so to make a Senator, but he doubled as a good aide on occasion.
"Yeah. Send out a call to the Loyalists...and any other group that's affiliated with us in a good way. We may need all the votes we can get if we get some pacifists in there today."
Nathan walked back into the resturant as William rushed off to get a speeder. The Senator kissed his wife goodbye before rushing out. He had a meeting to get to.
[[OOC: Hope you don't mind, just a little filler. It's now...offically sunset! dramatic senate votes are always better when it's sunset.]]

"Are the headquarters always this tense?" Daxun asked himself under his breath as he regarded a young officer running swiftly by him with mild interest. The massive Devaronian shouldered his pack, shrugged and continued walking forward. It was his first day out of the academy and the young pilot hadn't even been assigned a commander yet. He grinned, tucking his head into his collar as he did so. It was an old habit he had developed to help him hide his double row of sharp teeth. It looked like he wouldn't have to wait long before he was deployed.
Dax stepped forward towards a tired-looking Ithorian officer. The Ithorian barely looked up before sifting through what he assumed was his profile. "Republic Assault Cruiser, the Valiant. Make your way to the military docks, the ship leaves for military excercises in two standard hours."
Dax was taken aback by the speed at which his assignment was delivered. However he could only take the identification card and silently keep moving. "It's all a bit rush-rush here." He rumbled throatily under his breath.
"That's because it's the military, laserbrain." shouted a young woman as she ran by. In another second she was gone.
Dax looked after her, then looked forward, laughed and started ambling towards the front of the building.

((In the Comms Center))It was fairly quiet that night. The usual securtiy traffic over the comms systems. Current monitor systems were listenning to a pair of Hammerhead captains taking bets on weather or not Titania of Tatooine was real or just holodrama. In the comms center of GAR, a holonet screen was beeping. <<Incoming message>> \/ \/ \/ <<Incoming message>> ((Yes I am just waiting for anyone there to pick up the message))

After a few minutes the Transmission ended. Either the signal had been cut off, or the sender had given up.
