Appearance: Broad-shouldered, buzzed black hair with a streak of silver at the temples, electric blue eyes. Muscular. Has tan colored skin and a thin beard.
Birth place: Kuat
Occupation: Weapons/ships developer
Rank: CEO
Bio: Born on Kuat to mother and father Quatra and Keldron Queyan. His father was the CEO of a average company, Galactic Shipyards, that developed civilian and minor military ship designs, giving them a way above-average income and a decent reputation for dependable craft.
Nalar was raised like most other rich children, getting whatever he wished. For his younger years, he mainly was raised as any other child, playing with other children with toys, sports, etc. Upon turning 5, he was put into a expensive boarding school, being taught alone by several separate teachers for years. During this time, his parents urged him to acquire good grades, behavior, and skills. Over the next couple of years, he requested to learn computer skills, how to work on mechanical items, and how to use a large array of tools. He learned how to do basic mechanical work and computer work. He continued working on learning computer and mechanical skills as much as he was able to do and learn for a few years. When he turned 10, his parents decided to pull him out of the school, now starting to miss him very much from the years he'd been gone. When he returned, they hired several private tutors to teach him, so they could still have him home and give him a excellant education. On weekends and other free days, Nalar requested to come along with his father to work. Once there, he watched as his father worked in his office. Though after a few trips, he finally requested to go the developing areas where new ship designs were made.
His father considered it and finally accepted, sending him along with one of the workers in that area. As he started going around, seeing what was being done and built, he started to have a huge interest and started to help where he could, helping the workmen with certain little parts and helping use the machinery (with the supervision of a worker), etc, till he had become average in working with parts, building random items, and such. At home, he requested a shipment of random parts, tools, a work station, and some lab equipment. Upon recieving it, he started building random pieces of equipment and useless hunks of metal, usually concentrating on comlinks, small computers, and even a engine. After a time, he finally built a blaster. He tested it and found it actually worked, though it's blaster pak ran out of energy within the first shot. That day, he took a sudden interest in building weapons and other items, wanting to do it for a living when he grew older.
As his 15th birthday kept coming closer and closer, he continued requesting for more parts, differant and more exotic tools and lab equipment, and even new work stations. As he gathered more of these new items, he continued building more items, finding manuals to create many arrays of equipment, tools, and even weapons. Upon his birthday, he recieved his first speeder bike. Immediately after the celebration was over, he took it to his 'lab' and started to take it apart and replacing certain parts with better ones. Upon finishing it, he took it out and took it out for a spin, finding he enjoyed it.
During the few years between 15 and 18, he did several fun things with some other teenager friends of his from nearby rich families that involved his random gadgets and gear. As they had little to no experiance with weapons and tools, they did several stupid things with Nalar, not knowing the extent of damage they could do on accident. One time he made a jet pack and decided to try it out with a couple friends. Upon activating it, he flew normally for a short time, then the pack started acting wierd and went hay-wire, causing him to spiral down into the ground 30 feet below. He recieved a couple broken bones and a minor concussion, but was up and about in no time, thanks to the medical attention he recieved. Also, he tried working with missiles, building several heat seeking ones and testing them out. Though when he was busy with something in his lab, one of his friend's accidently set one of his missiles off. It luckily didn't go for either of them but went straight for a nearby engine, outside the lab in Nalar's testing field. He never left the missiles unattended again.
Upon his 18th birthday, he requested to be put into collage. His parents accepted immediately, hoping he was going to say that. He took several classes in robotics, computer science, chemistry, and a couple other classes. He went through the first few years of collage easily, finding the classes easy and fun. Once those classes were finished, he took the much more advanced classes of those same subjects, continuing this for several years till he had several diplomas in all those subjects.
During collage, not many things happened to him except the occasional experiment going haywire. One time though, he went to a bar with his friend's and decided to have a bit of fun. Once there, he had several drinks, then as he had his 4th, he accidently activated his high-powered, custom-made comlink on a loud speaker, upon a high frequency when he bumped into someone. After a couple seconds, the bar was filled with a high pitch static sound, making everyone fall over in surprise and a bit of pain. It even cracked several of the windows or any glass items near to him. He quickly left after that and returned to his studies.
Upon finishing collage, he was 28. He decided to join his father in Galactic Shipyards as a ship designer. His father accepted, especially glad his son decided to join him in the 'family business'. Nalar started working immediately on a new civilian design, designated the SB-300 (Star Burner 300), a cheap but extremely durable freighter. He worked on it for several months till he had perfected the designs then presented it to the company. They took to it well and immediately started selling the design to the public, finding it a well-liked ship. He quickly started working on another design, this one a military ship. He worked on this one for several months, almost a year, till he finally finished it. He designated it the Krypton-class corvette, a heavy missile corvette that was designed for long range combat againest capital-class vessels or fighter craft, depending on what missile-type it was carrying (proton torpedos or concussion missiles). He presented this one to the company as well, finding they thought it worth a shot. They attempted to try and sell it to the Republic Military. The Republic considered it and finally bought a few, though not as many as the company was hoping, the Republic's excuse being that the corvettes weren't cost-affective and didn't have a heavy enough armor for combat purposes.
Over a few more years with Nalar working on random ship designs and helping to work on older models, he started going through the ranks. He continued putting in new designs, mainly freighters and corvette classes for civilian usage. Upon hitting 35, he was in charge of the Ship Designer section, and quickly rising still. Unfortunately one day, his father was in a large airspeeder accident, his speeder being slammed from the side by two other airspeeders, who's pilots were two drunken teenagers racing each other. This was a severe blow to Nalar and his mother, finding it unexpected. After the funeral, the will was presented to them. It said that Nalar was to inherit the company and become President, including a large sum of credits, within the limits of several million, while the rest went to his mother.
Nalar quickly assumed control of the company and continued it's business for a time. After several months, he decided on a new course of action for the company. He called a board meeting and officially stated that he was changing the company immensely. The name was changed to the GWL (Galactic Weapons Laboratory), and it's business now was hugely differant. Remembering from his youth when he made his first blaster, Nalar changed the company to a experimental weapons, droid, and ship designing company, designing new weapons, ships, and droids for military groups and select private buyers. Upon hearing this, the board were taken back extremely, finding it totally unexpected. They were unable to react even as the company was being changed, though eventually they adjusted and went along with the new move. The company took several months to fully change, requiring refitting of several sections of the company's labs, factories and certain shipyards.
Nalar continued working on special projects, now having access to many resources and such to design about anything. His first thing to work on was a experimental powered battle armor, designated the NHA-01 Mark I (NOVA Heavy Armor). It was a large suit designed for heavy assaults, sieges, and anti-vehicle action. It had several weapons built into it, such as some small blaster cannons, grenade launcher and mortar launcher. He finally finished it and attempted to sell it to the Republic Military. The armor was appreciated by them, though as it was expensive (approximately 1,000,000 credits per suit) they decided to buy a small shipment of the suites from GWL.
The NHA gained the GWL a large amount of notoriety and credits. Being their first design, it proved to be very successful, despite that not many more then a couple dozen were bought. Nalar decided to re-design the NHA, starting to work on a similar design. He designated it the NHA-01 Mark II, a much more scaled down version of the Mark I, based more on anti-infantry, heavy fighting, some front-line combat, and behind enemy line action.
He finished it quickly, refitting the new design with a more 'exotic' array of weapons. Instead of anti-vehicle weaponry like the Mark I, it carried arm blasters, a dart shooter, small flamethrower, a small grenade launcher, and magnetic holders to carry approximately 4 hand-held weapons. Luckily, it turned out to be more affective then the Mark I, as it was cheaper, and much more maneuverable and deadlier. He presented it to the Republic, who took to it much better, buying several shipments, approximately 300 of the suites (each suit cost approximately 700,000 credits each). This gained Nalar and his company a huge amount of credits and notoriety, making the Sith Empire and some other private buyers take much bigger notice of the GWL. After the NHA-01 Mark II, Nalar started working on several new blasters, mainly for private buyers as they were custom made.
After the NHA armors, the GWL now stands as a major company known throughout the galaxy, now having holdings on almost every planet within the Republic (whether it be a large or small), and even some in the Sith Empire. Nalar now continues to make designs himself, never having lost the touch or interest in making the designs himself. At the age of 41, Nalar continued to work on enlargening his company by working on a new project.

Nalar sighed inwardly as he listened to the individual in the chair before his desk, who droned on about worthless item after worthless item on this blaster he wanted made in bulk for his security force. He kept a rapt look outwardly but within he was almost asleep. "What do these simple minded idiots think on things like this? That a blaster can have all these things in a tiny pistol? No, if I do what they request, I'll be making them a blaster cannon meant for airspeeders!" Nalar nodded absently as the man finally finished, a grin on his face. Nalar smiled back and nodded again. "We will get right on it then sir, and we should have your designs ready within the month, possibly a week." The man nodded, a wide smile on his face as he leaned forward to shake. Nalar gripped his hand in return and shook, then released and watched as the man left. The moment the door closed, he sank back into his chair and sighed. He then said. "Zedra, put on some music, slow and calming. Also, get a cup of caf in here pronto. I need to relax after having sat there a hour." A computer female voice resonated throughout the office. "Yes sir."
A few seconds later a slow, calming song coming from Coruscant started playing over the speakers within his office. He sat back, crossing his hands behind his head and holding it up. A minute later, his secretary walked in carrying a cup of caf. She smiled at him and set the cup down on the desk in front of Nalar. "Here's your caf Mr. Queyan. Oh and that report you wanted are right here...." She then set down a small stack of papers next to the caf, then she turned around and walked out. Nalar grinned then leaned forward and took the mug in his hand, sipping the warm caf, sighing contentedly. "Now to just read that report, then I will be able to head over to the lab and start working on that new blaster...."
He finally sat up and took the report, setting it in front of him then slowly but surely started to write down several paragraphs worth of orders. He continued this till it was finished then pushed it away and stood. "Zedra, unlock Lab Doors #01 and get that report to Lab #34." The female computer voice resonated throughout the room. "Yes sir. Right away." A glass door on the right side of the wall quickly slid open as he stood up and walked to it. He quickly entered and the door closed behind him. Lights snapped on and showed a large white-walled room with several large work tables, tools, robotic arms, and a large amount of parts and items. He walked over to one of the larger tables and sat down at a large chair, pulling several parts towards him and a few tools. He took a deep breath, let it out, then quickly set to work on the parts.
