A Big Exchange:
An Journalist's Crusade

This is the tale of a reporter's crusade to bring down one of the largest criminal empires in the Galaxy. Sil Moon, an average Kel Dor struggling to make a name for himself as a writer on the Megalopolis of Coruscant, happens upon a rumor of a small time criminal operation on Coruscant. When he goes to investigate, he finds far more than he bargained for.

Setting out to investigate this "Exchange" and bring them some good old fashioned Media Justice, he and hopefully a group of friends, allies, rivals, or associates, will try to bring down the Exchange and uncover the identity of this "Broker" who operates it.

Main Characters

• Sil Moon - Kel Dor reporter working on Coruscant trying to make it as a writer. Discovers information that leads him on a quest to bring down the Exchange
  
  
• "The Broker" - The secret criminal persona of Julius Magnus-Solo III. Under this pseudonym he rules the Exchange with an iron fist. He is mysterious and clouded by rumor. Most believe him to be only that, a rumor.
  

Associated Characters
Currently looking for Exchange Enforcers, Bosses, Mercs, Bounty Hunters (Lots of NPC potential here) & any Jedi, Reporters, anyone who is willing to help in the investigation.

Plot Arc
Sil Moon will delve deep into the criminal underworld in search of information about the Exchange. As he digs deeper, he will probably make lots of enemies, and catch the attention of The Broker somehow. Lots of missions of investigation, chasing, debate, etc.

The general idea is there, just the specifics need to get filled in.

- Sil Moon will stay on Coruscant for a while as he begins to dig into the low levels of the Exchange as the coming war between Orn and Droga erupts in the underworld.

- Droga gets promoted and moved to a new planet

Character Plans

• Sil Moon - Investigate the rumors of the criminal underworld in Corsucant. Get off Coruscant. Crack open the Exchange.
  
  
• "The Broker" - Pursue the Journalist and maintain his criminal empire and his hidden identity..

Alright for now, I think we should limit our activities to Coruscant. I have an idea for a primary antagonist who will be the recent Coruscant Planetary boss. He will be an ambitious and ruthless Crime Lord, who will after a few Coruscant adventures, will get promoted and continue to go after you. I also have an idea for a primary hunter for you, but I am hoping we can get that role filled by someone, if not then I will NPC him.

As a might have mentioned to you before, dark jedi Zarene Yin, according to her history, was in Exchange assassin before the whole Sith thing started, so if any of the events of this plot happen during that time (or if there are any flashbacks and whatnot), then perhaps she could make an appearance.

Or she could be a member even while in the Sith, my character Julius will be joining the Sith soon but he will maintain his operations of the Exchange, a fact he may or may not keep secret. I have put out calls before for Dark Jedi to be involved with the Exchange. Perhaps she could serve on the Executive board or be a top enforcer, or even the right hand to Julius.

Can I suggest that Sil is seen spying on the meeting (after hearing the relevant information), and so has to escape.

That could involve him returning home from work the next day to find his apartment trashed etc. All sorts of wonderful cliches

That is actually what I was hoping for. He goes to grab the bag full of potential evidence and wakes the Devaronian who proceeds to chase him. Then we have a pretty awesome chase and you have to be careful.

My reporter, Cai Xu, will soon be available after she finishes her current thread.

She did interview Julius before, so perhaps SIl comes seeking some for of guidance? I don't really know and am open to pretty much anything.

Julius wont be suspected for a long time, nothing from your meeting would have hinted at criminal activity. Perhaps you are both investigating the Coruscant exchange when you guys both get captured or on the run or something.

Thats my next idea. Sil gets chased and captured, but not before he reads one or two of the datapads thats gives him some clues. He then escapes captivity to find his apartment trashed and some threatening notes.

I have two ideas about how Cai could become embroiled in this whole mess.

Either she could be one of Sil's close friends from the HNN, and so in his time of crisis he comes to her for help.

Or she could come in much later when Sil discoveres Julius is involved, and knows that she once interviewed him.

Personally, I feel the first option is far more plausible, as well as allowing Starwarsgirl to get involved far earlier. In my mind, it would pan out something like this:

• Sil escapes from the Devaronian. Wild speeder chase ensues.
  
• Sil manages to get back home.
  
• The next day, when Sil returns from work, he discovers his apartment trashed.
  
• He, naturally, fears for his life, and goes straight to the home of Cai, his close friend.
  
• Together, they work on solving the mystery - travel offworld etc.
  
• Much later, Cai's knowledge of Julius comes in very handy.
