Coruscant. The Center of the Galaxy. The entire planet is one big city. It may be the most important planet in the galaxy. It is the political, religious, and economic center of all galactic affairs. Here is where the Republic Army is organized, where the Galactic Senate meets, and where the Jedi High Temple resides.
As with everything, Coruscant is also the center of corruption and greed in the galaxy. The Senate is in disarray. Since the end of the Jedi Civil War and the Mandalorian Crusade, there is no trust whatsoever among senators. Even the Core Faction, once resolute in its decisiveness, has become fragmented. With the arrival of the Sith Empire, the Senators have grown even more suspicious. Lies abound, and each bill that comes into open discussion is usually cast aside by filibustering or outright refusal to vote. Nothing can be trusted.
This has come to affect the Jedi also. They have found themselves at odds with the Senate, their charge. Even they are not trusted, and so decisions are made without their input and Jedi affairs have fallen under great scrutiny.
With the election of a new Supreme Chancellor, though, all the mistrust may come to an end.
Military Difficulty: 10
Targets:
1. Jedi High Temple
2. Galactic Senate (Conquer or Neutralize)
3. Republic Military Headquarters
4. Republic Naval Shipyards North
5. Republic Naval Shipyards South
6. Republic Military Academy
7. Republic Stationing A
8. Republic Stationing B
9. Republic Stationing C
10. Republic Stationing D
Please Note Also that Coruscant Coruscant has a four tier defense system. The first and "uppermost" tier is a series of atmospheric mines.
The second tier is a series of Golan Defense Platforms, mostly Golan II types. The command platform is dubbed "Orbital Defense One" and is larger than its cousins.
The third tier is a massive planetary shield, controlled by a series of relays on the surface of Coruscant. The shield seems to work by some kind of dispersion of energy released onto the shield.
The fourth and last tier is an array of rooftop turbolasers, akin to the point-defense systems on some capital ships. Some were operated automatically, others by Human gunners and astromech droids. Also counted was the proton bomb in the Chief of State's office.
Miltary Advice: Don't even try it :b
