Potential Supership?

I figure, this is the Republic. Shouldn't there be some huge, top-secret supership in production to combat the sith menace? Some secret weapon? I am suggesting a plotline, with potential for Sith and Mando interruption, based around this Supership being in production. There would be corporate influence, such as the XARC playing a part in designing it, as well as other factions. The Republic would obviously play a major role.

Anyway, whaddya think?

It's a bit early days as of yet. Technically there isn't a war going on (Republic have not declared it as such, though that will change with the battle at Mon Cal) and so there's very little reason for them to be researching such a thing. Also, I personally would have thought it would be the Sith who came up with a superweapon, they have a great deal of funding whereas the Republic is in somewhat of a decline.

And at the moment there's still a fair amount going on in terms of faction movement, perhaps it would be best to save the superweapon idea for a later time, when the war is in full flow and so we can mix things up a little bit.

There as already been a attempt to create "super ships" already at one point but I agree that it's likely too early to consider it.

I would see this maybe, big emphasis on "maybe" happening later on in the war... but honestly the closest thing to a super ship that the GR has is the Praetor >_> pretty beastly, but its not crazy. Anyways, what Zark said.
