Appearance: She is a tall blue skinned female with no hair, A gene fault than instead grows the identifying Zabrak horn's at a larger rate. So her Crown is fuller that usual on her species. Her orange/yellow eyes glisters in the light. Her body is fit and nimble, a tool honed by a lifetime of practice. She wears light gray Jedi garments.
Birth place: Dantooine.

Bio: Katoa To Koa comes from a family of brewers at the southern parts of Dantooine, A representative of the Jedi Enclave came when she was 4 years old. His mission was not to find new young lings but to investigate a disappearance of a local merchant. But once there her faith were sealed to become a Jedi. Katoa don't remember her family, but she barely remembers the farm. Nothing special happened to her before being adopted by the order. Her affinity with the force were strong but dormant, sometimes she would levitate in her sleep if there had been a rough day, but this was not noticed.
First 6 Years in the order:
Katoa was a curious and willing pupil, and did show a talent for ambidexterity for an early time. She had good insight on herself, but this is a Zabrak trait. Sometimes she were too sure of herself, in her mind Nothing was impossible, the impossible just took more time and resources. As Jedi's teaching of using more than one lightsaber were restricted.She managed to find a semi loophole to compensate for this, at age 8 she started to experiment with a wooden stick finding much potential in it as a quarterstaff. One could easier defend with it, parry faster. And dough a wooden stick does not have the same challenge to wield as a lightsaber, she managed to get the most basic concept out of it.
The first padawan year: (age is now 10 years old)
She was selected by a human Jedi knight Sentinel to be a padawan, his name was Oldin Quan Jim. With him she managed to increase her knowledge of the force, history and combat skills. But that is what a master is for, but She also spent much time discussing theory with other Jedi apprentices and masters. This meant she was lending of the wisdom of all around her, and learning people skills at the same time.
Building a Lightsaber (MK1)
On a field trip with master Oldin, Katoa found a beautiful Tusk in a bassar, she was able to barter for it trading away council in a dispute between two costumers. The matter was that there was only one vaporator and they each wanted it. The first costumer wanted it to add more water to his supply so that he could make a fountain in his garden.
The second costumer wanted to buy it as a wedding gift to a friend on a dessert planet.
She settled the dispute by asking them moral questions, and letting them each know the other ones need and point of view. She was either lucky or these adults were reasonable. The tusk were not actually that expensive or exotic but having impressed the bassar keeper she were allowed to ask for a boon, one can speculate that the bassar keeper also held Jedi in high regard and thus wanted to contribute. Oldin Himself were both glad that she had managed to settle the dispute,(even if it weren't a serious one) and angered that she accepted a boon for her own. A Jedi does not seek material reward.
Her first Crystal were a yellow one, that reflected her eyes. She found it during a lesson in the Jedi code in one of the many caves in Dantooine, Her master had planned her to find a Crystal, but letting it be up to the force on witch and where. It was covered by dirt and stones, but as she were using her wooden stick to draw in the sand she could see a unusual stone in the track. As she picked it up, Oldin stopped preaching and congratulated her on the find. And explained the importance of it before returning to the lesson.
Other parts were obtained in the enclave, and dough it took her 12 days to construct it properly, carving the tusk, polishing the crystal, and manufacturing the parts to fit.
Proudly displaying her creation to her master she, were both cherished and scorn, this was the way of her master. Praise were it was deserved but to balance it, a lecture too.
Year 2-4 as Padawan.
The first real mission she were take along for were to the planet of Kashyyyk, where a explorer had found a artifact down below on the dark ground. As they met with the explorer a wild beast or predator attacked them, one could feel it were inbound by the dark side. It had a long raggedy fur so dirty you couldn't tell its original color, sharp horns and metal bits pointed out from its body at seemingly random places. Its big mouth were filled with yellow rotten teeth that had broken at some point but were still sharp.
Oldin faced this as a true challenge. Not only were it twice the size of a grown man but it also managed to separate them from the Explorer, whom seemed to be the main interest of the beast. It was unnatural fast and snapped its powerful jaws, ripping at anything that came close. Before Lightsaber superiority were gained and the creature slain. It had liberated the explorer from his hands. The Item he had found were a holocron created by a exiled Jedi Master. Nor good or evil it were sent to the great Jedi council, whom decided it should be guarded in the library.
Still the Beast remained a mystery...(It was actually a tortured wookie, altered by darkside experiments.)
Being the apprentice of a Jedi Sentinel meant a lot of travel and a lot of different laws to uphold, First of all the Jedi Code but often they were restricted by the Local laws too, so to root out the truth clearly and light every angle of each case were extremely important. As whatever the conclusion were it would have wherry real consequences.
Katoa could not forget the dark side beast, and often asked about it. How could anyone make such a thing? The answers were never actually answering much.
Padawan years 5 - 20.
Becoming a teenager isn't the most easy thing to go trough, double so for a Jedi. She had several crushes on fellow students of various age. Often boosting or showing off to impress them or getting their attention, Oldin tried to tell her that these emotions were not to serve the will of the force in a Jedi way. But just hormones and instinct to mate and bring on life, how Jedi are forbidden to take mates and have interests and life beyond that of the order. This is one of the most hard time for a padawan teacher, as their students develop into who they will become. Their wherry identities re forged.
Some times she would run off with another Zabrak padawan between the lessons. They would play pretend not to be Jedi but normal folks, they would discuss theoretic pseudo happenings. This other Padawans name were Thod Zat. They became sweethearts, Living in a intrigued secrete fashion. Most other saw them as best friends, but their masters suspected.
As they both grew in power, knowledge and wisdom they would often trial their powers together, driving each other progress on wards. But also unwittingly closer to the dark side. Bit by bit, over time they started to allow passion, chaos, and selective ignorance into them. By the time Katoa got her head together, it was too late for Thod Zat.
During a lightsaber duel turned passionate on the planes of Dantooine much of the area around them where destroyed as they used more and more of the force. Ripping trees out of their roots and hurling them at each other, it was just a game to them but the damage to the area would never truly heal. But the rules of the game changed when she gave herself to him with lust, this was the strongest motion she ever lost control of making her float in the air. It was intoxicating and exiting. (but lets not get into detail.)
But Thod Zat became more dominating, in trainings he would shout commands at her, showing hints of aggression that increased. They could no longer hide their passion, His aggressiveness fueled her learning of defense, as he wanted to best her using more and more aggressive techniques. Thod meant he should own her, control her, and often things would go near out of hand throwing lighters, and using anger with the force.
Now that they had revealed themselves to the other Jedi, Oldin took her back to kayak, back to the darkness where she first had encountered the dark side. They had long arguments. Here she would have to face the dark side alone, overcome it or be expelled. Oldin knew had test her, test her dedication to the Jedi before the council found out what had been going on. Perhaps show her back to the path again.
She was lead to believe that Oldin were far above her, safe with the wookies, and that she was alone down below. But in fact he was hiding above her in the trees. Watching over her.
(Trial of the Spirit)
Sleeping her third night she had dream's of a cave, and a beast inside. when she woke up it seemed she knew exactly were it was. She found it with ease. She could feel the cold dark side inside it and hear the foul breath of the beast. Battle ready she walked into the lair to kill the thing. Inside the walls were caped with drawings, stylized markings of a Jedi and a beast, but the scenes seemed familiar some how. Suddenly a beast like the one on the drawings had cut her off from the entrance and now she could see it had a black distorted humanoid form, It was fueled by rage and passion. Slashing at her with long claws. Roaring so high she had to hold her ears, It tripped her so she lost her lightsaber. Quickly trampling over her it lifted its clawed fists to rip her a part. Katoa could see its face, and its face were her own, only darker and wherry dirty. She levitated again only on instinct using all her strength and determination in a force push blast to throw the creature away and out the cave, but as it did it disappeared into a puff of air. Then she fainted.
When she woke up she could see a campfire outside, she were lying deep within the cave, the light reflected of a silvery box of kinds. She took it out carefully walking to the outside, when she saw Oldin she ran and gave him a hug. And asked forgiveness for her recklessness. The box were holding the tools and notes of a darkside devotee, A force adept one could call it. Proving that unholy experiments had been taking place here, and that the beast they had encountered before truly were fueled by the dark side of the force. Oldin took possession of the box and its contents. Before returning to Dantooine they find a wounded wookie exile, he had once attacked with his claws with is a forbidden action. But now he had been attacked by a predator, and were helpless. Oldin used this as a training scenario learning Katoa to use Force heal.
Upon return she and Oldin was called before the council, She confessed it all before they could even start the "prosecution" or the meeting. Their love, their relations, their lack of restraint and passion. Begging them to be redeemed. It was not on this subject the Council had called her and her master forth, but it enlightened the situation, a trail would have to wait. Thod Zat had tried to kill other Padawan, and his master and later escaped by stealing a swoop, his victims were severely wounded. He would need to be tracked down and held accountable for his actions. But in this they failed, all clues to his whereabouts were dead ends. He had eluded them and hitched with a freighter in disguise as a farmer. It was foreseen that in time, he would probably come for Katoa. After all she was a catalyst of his fall.
For coming fourth and emitting ones error, willing to be taking the consequence of her affair. Katoa were redeemed, and allowed to continue her training.
With the discovery of her talent in force levitation on Kasyyyk she was encouraged to read up on theory and practice it. Oldin would trow pebbles at her during sessions and hit her with sticks, and try to distract her. This is hard way of learning control but perhaps the most efficient one.
She excelled at telekinetic due to her additional training in force levitation. Showing great understanding of the material properties of the force. The affections of the mind however were sadly lost.
Katoa pushed herself hard to learn both the way of the force and the martial arts of the Jedi. A strong willed determination to learn as much as she could between mission's. She became a great student of defense, and pro active defense. Combining styles and using the force in a preferably nonlethal way. It were clear that she would not take a life it it could be spared. Limbs could be replaced, life not.
(The trail of Flesh, and Courage)
Oldin and Katoa had been sent to Manaan to aid the transfer of a prisoner, Convicted for smuggling and is going to stand trial on the republic battle cruiser Light of Justice. The prisoner is held by restraining cuffs so he cannot escape. Things go by plan until A dark Jedi comes swooping from the sky, It is Tod Thod. This takes Katoa off guard and he uses the force to render her lightsaber, Oldin's Lightsaber comes to a saving block that spares her hand from the disruptive energies. But in doing so he sacrifices his defense and is punished with force lightning that stuns him. Oldin is paralyzed.
She realizes that she cannot harm him, but also not allow him to hurt anyone else. If she is to do right by him she must let him take her.
There is a dialog between the former lovers, Katoa asks him to step down and stand trail for his actions, He calls her a traitor. How could she do this to her? All he has done was for them! She calls him lost, while uses her telekinetic 'mastery' to dissemble it in his hands.
Tod tries to harm her helpless prisoner with a hold out blaster, but she moves herself with levitation in the path taking the punishment. Instead of putting up a force shield.
Tod becomes frustrated and is near panic, he cries and curses as he kidnaps her and moves her to his secret holdout in a abandoned ship, so that he can patch her up.
Awaking to imprisonment she tried to talk her Ex down. But His love had turned on her, his obsession on her and his misguided hopes and dreams means for her a life in slavery on a idyllic far away planet. In a odd twist of things he proposed to her, but when she turned him down for the Jedi order he tortured her. Only after letting him torture her was she able to show him the error of his ways. Asking him how can he torture the one he loves so much, even if she struggled to forgive him she does. She tells him of her feelings for him, but that her dedication is with the Jedi, she is part of a greater cause, and that he can't force her to anything. For she will die for her commitment before giving it up.
Tod is broken and hurt emotionally but sees to the error of his way, she comforted him and with her to support him she was able to bring him back to Dantooine for trial. He was excluded and bound from the force, and sent to exile on a outer rim planet. Even dough he came back he was unable to let the dark side truly go, He did not wish to be a Jedi.
Oldin later offers to train her in the dual wielding arts, and she constructs a new lightsaber for this purpose. Katoa found this styled weapon to hold take the defensive and proactive theories to the next level.

During a travel alone back to Dantooine from a political negotiation on Alderaan, escorting a fresh bunch of potential apprentices. The ship liner they are using was hit by pirates. As she hid the younglings and calmed them down. The ship was mobilized with Ion cannons, Katoa took control over the bridge and demanded a parlay with the pirate leader. Making it clear that she is a Jedi, but not her rank. And as she was identified as a Jedi she was only allowed to do so because it amused the Pirate Captain,(or perhaps he were interested in a easy pick? One can only speculate that the pirates had some level fear for a mystic Jedi popping up on one of their heist, and they had little will to battle with it.) She states that their life should be spared and life supporting supplies must not be taken, other than that she is not concerned for the material goods on the vessel, as it is insured by policies in various banks. A peaceful transaction is arranged. Pirates steals the valuables they were after, leaving them to drift. But as a little 'joke' they also set the area around the ship with space mines.
As the crew tries to call for aid and repair the ship she must use her Force sense and Kinetic abilities to move the mines into a cluster at safe distance so that she can terminate them. If not anyone coming to their aid would be blown up. It takes time bit goes well, the explosion did however send a shock wave trough the ship but no damage where caused.
After two days their plea for help is answered by a Republic military scout vessel, on the trail of said pirates.
Upon returning to Corusant she was granted the rank of Knight by the ancient ritual. And Oldin became a Master.
She didn't stop her to study, and she also acted as a open teacher for the remaining Jedi apprentices.
At age 28 she has been asked to take on a padawan learner by the council, for the need is always large.

Cylinder formed made of cromed silver cortosis alloy, Its 2 1/2 standard hilts long, each eremitter is hidden about 1 inch within the construction, each blade can be turned on without the other. A sound recorder is installed in the middle, hidden form prying eyes.
The blades are using the same configuration, triple crystals focused trough duble lenses.Glowing bright white but also pulsing rapidly in a feint yellowish hue.

Oldin were here, she could feel him faintly. This was the final test to determine if she was ready for the Tials she had been told. But this cave were dark no light allowed she were instructed. There were others here too, A raspy voice echoed in the darkness .
"We know the code you and I. Or do we?" The voice demanded an answer.
She knew it well.
"There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no chaos; there is harmony.
There is no death; there is the Force."
The voice spoke again, not too happy this time.
"Yes you know the words, But what do they mean, Padawan? Has their meaning eluded you? words mean nothing without their meaning."
She gave it some thought and replied.
"When in loss or danger, One cannot let ones feelings take control. If a Jedi next to me is slain I must not avenge him, but find a way to act for the better of all, I must be at peace and see the bigger picture. This is the truth of the first amendment.
I cannot allow myself to be ignorant, If I am asked to do an act. I must understand what the act is, only then can I understand the choses I must take. Only in knowing as much as possible about the act and its factors and possible reactions may I act with the will of the force. Ignorance comes in many forms and has many names, without knowing AND understanding them. One cannot counter them justiciable.
This is the truth if the second amendment.
I must be forever watchful of my emotion's, when I control my emotions I will not fall for the taint of the dark side, I will not act harshly or in ignorance. The one whom controls emotion is able to hear the force better. And is more able to follow its will.
This is the truth of the third amendment.
All is connected, with the force, even that witch is not. Everything that has begun as done so with the force, all that has ended has done so to become one with the force. and the force is everlasting.
Without this tenet, all other tenets of the Jedi Code would be meaningless.

In life I serve the will of the force, But fear death I don't, for in dying I return to the force and death is the natural toll to all things that live. Death is not loss, or tragedy to me morned. The end is to return to the beginning.

The cave was lit by ligthsabers on all colors as the dantooine council stood before her, their lightsaber hums unifying to a trembling tone of unity. She came fourth to the one in the middle, the rite master. He laid the lightsaber blade near her ear, and made the flick that would otherwise cut the apprentice braid. But she had no hair to braid.
"Rise a Knight, Katoa To Koa. The force is with you."
