Age: 19
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 160 lbs.
Appearance:
Jayden has a youthful face, with brown, wavy hair that extends slightly past his ears, bright blue eyes, and a tall, strong demeanor. He is well-build - not too skinny, but not overweight or freakishly muscular in the least. His training keeps him in fine shape. Birth place: Alderaan
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Jedi Padawan
Bio:
Birth - Early Life on Alderaan - Birth to Age 4
Jayden was born and raised on the planet of beautiful planet of Alderaan 19 years ago. He was the product of a romance between a traveler named Gregor and a local woman called Anna Storm. The two met at a cantina, both of them drunk and out-of-sorts. Gregor, who was only passing through town on "business", left the next morning, leaving Anna distraught and pregnant. She was left to raise her child alone, her only help being her mother, whom she still lived with.
Jayden Len Storm was born in their little house in the valleys of Alderaan, with only his mother and grandmother there to witness his birth. It was very difficult for Anna to support her son; she managed to knab a job at the nearby cantina, and it paid moderate wages, but she just coudn't manage it alone. Her baby boy was growing and learning, though, and he was happy; that gave his young mother hope, and she wouldn't give up without a fight.
In an act of desperation, she married herself to a local man named Liam, an Alderaan farmer who lived only a few miles away. He was happy to have her as his wife, even though the two hardly knew each other. Anna was so beautiful, he had agreed to the marriage immediately. Her having a son didn't truly bother him; he had three children of his own - two boys, both in their late teens, and a younger girl. Liam supported his wife and his new son, making enough money to get by.
Jayden Storm grew into a young toddler, an adventurous lad who spent most of his time outdoors, running about in the valley, or helping his step-father with the farm work. Liam treated the boy like his own, teaching him the tricks of the trade just as he'd taught his older sons. Because there were no children his own age living in the vicinity, Jayden was never around kids his own age; he became quite the loner, preferring to talk to the animals and himself rather than anyone else.
His mother began to realise that her son wasn't like other children - not in the least. Strange things were going on. The boy had incredibly fast reflexes, skills she had never seen before, and it was almost as if he could read her mind at times, seeing things before they happened. It frightened the young mother to no end, and she even took it to Liam, discussing it with him. The two decided that the boy was indeed a special lad, but they did nothing further about it, choosing to pretend that he was normal.
Childhood on Alderaan - Age 4 to 6
Jayden's childhood wasn't a bad one. His family wasn't poor, so he usually got what he wanted in exchange for doing his chores on the farm. He blossomed into quite the sweet lad, quickly bonding to both of his parents, and his older sister, who still lived with the family. Spending most of his time outdoors, running about all by himself, he became somewhat shy and reserved, relying mostly on himself - finding it hard to put his faith in others. Even though he knew he had "special powers", he never took advantage of them, and hardly ever used them.
When he was 6 years old, his step-father took him on his first trip away from his hometown, to go hunting in the outskirts of the main hub-ub of Alderaan. The boy proved an excellent shot, because of his quick reflexes, and he managed to slay his first opponent - a large buck.
On their way through town, however, Jayden and his step-father were approached by a heavily cloaked man, saying that his name was Jerren Hawke, and the stranger claimed that he had come to speak to Jayden Storm and his family. Liam and his step-son led the man to their home near the main town. There, Jerren Hawke explained the Jedi had sensed a force-sensitive presence on Alderaan, and Jerren had been sent to ask him to join the order.
Although Anna didn't agree with Liam, the man sent his step-son off with the Jedi, making the boy promise to sent letters and the like. Part of Jayden thought that Liam wanted to see him gone for some apparent reason, even though he had been a big help on the farm, and a great son. The two arrived on Coruscant the next day.
Early Apprenticeship - Age 6 to 13
Jayden took to his studies well. He learned to read and write in less than a year of tutoring at the temple, some of his favorite books being about the history of the Jedi Order itself. He didn't fit in well with the other children, however, for he wasn't used to being around people his own age. Jayden was shunned as an outcast, and he would often spend most of his days walking around the temple, gazing in awe at any Jedi Knight who happened to walk his way. He took advice well, using it to better himself, which is one of the reasons for his swift progress.
Like all other younglings, Jayden was taught the basics of Shii-Cho; he was advanced, learning it in only a year's time after its introduction, but still nowhere near to mastering it. He was also taught the ways of the Force - only the basics. Being more advanced in lightsaber techniques than the use of the Force, the young boy spent most of his free time practicing his techniques and sparring the other younglings. He was on his way to being a formidable Jedi Guardian.
Although he spent most of his time in the temple, Jayden did learn a lot in his youngling years. Each year he took on another technique or Force power, and each year he grew in power, knowledge, and attunement to the light.
At 12 years of age, Jayden moved on to other lightsaber techniques, beginning the practice of both Makashi and Soresu, and also fine-toning his skills in Shii-Cho. He began making daily visits to the Jedi Knight Jerren Hawke, who aided him in his lessons, having taken an interest in the youngling. They quickly took to each other, forming a bond of friendship, and Jayden advanced quickly in his studies with help from the Jedi Knight.
When Jayden reached his 13th year, like most of the other younglings, he participated in a tournament to prove his worth among the Jedi Order, and also to possibly attract the much-wanted attention of a future master. Jayden wasn't outmatched in the least; he competed well, earning the title of the victor of the tournament. That won him the admiration of several young Knights, but Jerren laid his claim first, offering to become Jayden's Jedi Master.
The Beginning - Apprenticeship to Jerren Hawke
Jayden quickly formed a bond with his master, taking nearly everything he said into consideration, doing anything he could to gain the man's respect. Jerren instructed him further in the three lightsaber forms that Jayden already knew, also introducing Ataru to the boy, a more aggressive form that suited Jayden's style of lightsaber combat. Dropping his practice of the other forms for a year or two, Jayden focused only on Ataru, working himself day and night to learn the form. His skill in it now matched his skill in the other two, less aggressive forms.
Jayden also excelled in Telepathy, practicing by contacting his master through the force when they were not together. The boy was also sometimes seen building his body, which helped in the sparring ring. His first year of training with his master went considerable well. Jerren Hawke helped Jayden become one of the most talented Padawans at the temple, but the boy still had much to learn. He was impatient, often too aggressive, striking out in anger and hate, something that he would have to learn to control.
Settling a Dispute - Age 14
When Jayden was 14 years of age, he and his master were sent on a mission to settle a dispute on Alderaan, Jayden's home-planet. A farmer had gotten into a fight with the senators of Alderaan, saying that too much of his money was being taken away from him and given to the government. Apparently all of the farmers felt this way, and they were preparing a raid on the government building. Jayden and Jerren's job was to calm the farmers down, come up with a solution, and take it to the government. It wouldn't be easy.
They did manage to persuade the farmers to halt in their attack, but the difficult part to be to work out an agreement between the agricultural workers the government. It was Jayden and Jerren together who came up with a solution. They would prevent the government from receiving any extra profits from the farmers, and have the farmers produce more food for the people of Alderaan in return. That way, the farmers got what they wanted - money. And the government got what they wanted - food for the people.
Jayden was praised for his fair judgement on this mission, and he was rewarded the right to craft his first lightsaber. Young Jayden was sent to a cave near on Dantooine, one of the best known places to craft a first lightsaber. There, with his master waiting outside, he spent 2 weeks building his lightsaber, taking special care to fit each piece into its correct spot, perfectly. The boy managed to craft a magnificent saber, very similar to his master's, with a blue color crystal, and two power crystals, the Adegan and the Kaiburr, which would both help to make the blade more powerful.
Upon returning to the Jedi temple on Coruscant, Jayden learned that he had done a remarkable job in constructing his first lightsaber, having fit each piece perfectly, which was very rare for a young Padawan to do.
The First Dark Jedi Encounter - Age 15
Shortly after his 15th birthday, Jayden, along with his master, Jerren Hawke, was sent on his second mission, a trip to an asteroid field near Korriban, where a few Dark Jedi had been spotted fleeing from Coruscant. Because of the suspicion that had been aroused because of their trip to Coruscant, the Sith were to be hunted down and brought to the Jedi as prisoners. That was Jayden and Jerren's assignment.
Taking two Jedi fighters, the two tracked down the Dark Jedi and chased them through the asteroid field, growing ever closer to Korriban; however, the Sith saw them and landed on a fairly large asteroid to hide. Master Jerren managed to locate them by reaching out through the Force, and the two landed on the asteroid to face them. This would be Jayden's first battle against a Dark Jedi.
Two Dark Jedi Apprentice's waited for them, both new to the Order, but still dangerous. Both Master and Padawan drew their lightsabers, and the Jedi and the Dark Jedi engaged in a battle. Jayden had a difficult time fighting against the Dark Jedi, for he was used to sparring fellow Jedi, who relied mostly on defensive maneuvers. This Dark Jedi was extremely aggressive, and Jayden would have to rely on dodges, ducks, and side-steps to beat him, thinking that if he tired the Dark Jedi out, he could win the fight.
He sucessfully managed to wear his opponent down and dealt a killing blow to the chest, winning the fight with only a few gashes. He then aided his master in taking down the other, more experienced, Dark Jedi, and once the deed was done, the two returned to the Jedi temple. They hadn't managed to capture the two, but at least they had killed two possible spies.
The First True Test - Age 16
Master Jerren decided it was time to begin testing his Padawan. He felt as if Jayden would be ready to become a Jedi Knight in only a few year's time, and he might as well begin testing him now. The boy had fought past his weaknesses; because of his battle against the Dark Jedi, he had learned to rely less on aggression and hate, and more on defense and patience. He had become a greater Jedi than Jerren had ever hoped he could be, and it made him proud.
A fellow Jedi had turned to the Dark Side, and Jayden's assignment was to locate him and do whatever he must to destroy the Dark Side within him, whether it be by killing the Dark Jedi or turning him. Of course, Jerren would aide his apprentice. It was no job for a 16 year old boy alone.
By reaching out through the Force, Jayden located a dark taint on Coruscant, very near to the Jedi temple. He and Jerren made their way to the outskirts, discovering that the Dark Jedi was hiding out in a cave, unnoticed, building in power. It was outside of the cave that Jerren told his young Padawan that Jayden would be going in alone. It was his first true test.
Afraid, Jayden reluctantly agreed, entering the cave without a word, making his way towards the darkness that dwelled within. Deep within the cave, he found the Dark Jedi waiting for him. Filled with anger, the Dark Jedi struck out at Jayden, and the two dueled, Jayden using a defensive technique in order to tire out his opponent.
Finally, the Dark Jedi gave up, putting away his lightsaber. Gently, Jayden urged him to give up, to come back with him to Coruscant, to denounce his dark ways. It took a while to persuade him, but finally the previous Jedi gave in, giving up on the Dark Side. He refused to return with Jayden to the temple, however, saying that he was not worthy of being welcomed back to the order. Jayden understand, and he left the cave, giving his master the details. The two then returned to the temple, and Jayden was rewarded for his bravery, gaining reputation as a Padawan, and gaining the masters' trust.
The Second True Test - Age 18
The council was very interested in Jayden Storm, that much was certain. He was extremely talented; he had progressed very quickly in his studies, and he had passed every test they had thrown at him. It was time for him to be pushed to the limits, for very soon he was to be made into a Jedi Knight. His master had to be certain the boy was ready.
Jerren decided to go on a mission to the surface of Korriban itself, to act as a spy. His Padawan went along with him, only because his master requested it. Such a dangerous request was not normal for Jerren. The master and apprentice left immediately, flying to Korriban. They would stay on the planet's surface for only a few days, picking up on any new information they could find. It seemed like a simple mission - they couldn't get caught. But it was much more than that.
After a day on Korriban, Jayden and Jerren were discovered by the Dark Jedi. They were now the hunted. Their hiding place was located, and a band of Dark Jedi were sent to deal with the intruders. It was then that Jayden's strength as a Jedi was put to the test. The two were out-numbered; he would have to rely wholy on the Force to win the battle. Together, the two Jedi fought the Dark Jedi, taking out two opponents in only a few minutes of battle. The other two proved more talented; they were more than mere Dark Jedi Apprentices.
Jayden was in trouble; his shoulder was injured, and he could hardly move his arm, least of all fight. Jerren spent most of his effort protecting his Padawan, trying to keep him alive, but he only suceeded in receiving a blow to the leg. Jayden, for fear of losing his master, delved into the Force, using it as a guide. He managed to finished off another Dark Jedi alone while his master lay nearby, in danger. Finally, with much difficulty, Jayden slew the remaining Dark Jedi, helping his master escape the center of Korriban. They would have to leave the planet quickly if Jerren was to make it.
When the two Jedi arrived on Coruscant, it was too late for Jerren Hawke. He was near death; it would take a miracle to save his life. The Jedi Knight did live for another day before he passed away, transforming into the Force. Jayden did not take out his anger on his master, even though it was obvious that his death was his own fault. He should have never went on such an important mission without back-up. But, even though Jayden had lost his master and nearly lost himself because of it, he did pass master's last test. The council's faith in him only grew.
A Servant of the Light - Current Time
After the death of his master, Jayden worked even harder in mastering his lightsaber forms and Force powers. Although he had no master to guide him, he was getting better, stronger in the Force and in the side of the light. His future is still clouded, however, but the council senses great things to come. He hopes to receive a new master soon, for he still has much to learn if he wishes to become a Jedi Knight. Only his first test of a Jedi Knight has been completed.

"Beta to Crusader . . . Crusader, come in. What are your coordinates?" a voice, covered in static, called over the com-link - a familiar voice that he recognized.
Sighing in relief, Jayden Storm jerked the stick-shift to the left, bringing his Jedi Fighter into a spiral to avoid the missle that flew at him from behind. Good. His Jedi senses had become aware of its presence in time. That was a close one. "Crusader to Beta, I read you," he began, pressing the button to his com-link, and thus contacting his fellow Jedi Fighter. "My coordinates are unknown. I just lost my navigation computer . . ." he paused to avoid yet another missle. "They're coming at me from both sides. I'm going to need your assistance."
There was a pause before Beta's response. " . . . I see you. I'm bringing my squadron up behind you."
Much to Jayden's relief, he caught sight of three Jedi Fighters out the rear window, coming in to deal with the two Sith ships that had him surrounded. In a flash of brilliant, neon lights, on of the enemy ships went down. "You got him. Good work, Beta." Jayden grinned, steering to the right and diving downwards a few feet. "Now we have a clear shot to Korriban. Turn on your cloaking device . . . now!" Jayden pushed yet another button, signalling the cloaking devices. They couldn't let the Sith know that they were coming. Cloaking devices were extremely rare in small ships like Jedi Fighters, but they had been installed specifically for spy missions such as this one.
Jayden heard his fellow Jedi's voice as he repeated the order to all other Jedi Fighters, and soon they were an invisible group of unknown fighters, slowly making their way towards Korriban's surface. "We'll have to land outside of Sith Territory."
"Roger," said Beta, drifting into a position behind Jayden's fighter, The Galactic Crusader. "The mission is going as planned. This is my first spy mission. You'll have to lead the way, Storm."
Jayden frowned at this. It wasn't his first spy mission. His first mission to Korriban had been a disaster. His master had been killed, and he had nearly lost his life as well. "Roger," he replied, ending the discussion as he drifted down, closer to the planet's surface. He would do what he had to for the Jedi Order, no matter the costs.
