This Site Is In Serious Need Of An Activity Check, Im thinking, a person jus makes a simple post of their characters in a thread and anyone who doesnt post in the activity thread in a month gets their account deleted. Because I've seen tonnes of abandaned accounts someone from even 2007!

Yeah...that's crazy....I mean...things happen man.....You can't just up and delete some one over not being here for a sit amount of time.
I mean...What if some one lost their internet and they are trying to get it back. (Been there...do that)
Or even more hectic....what if their house caught fire and they can't help it?
No need to really worry about inactivity, Plus...if they come back they may be excited to see their stuff is still there and that might be the motivation they need to get back on and RP.

We generally delete accounts that have had 0 posts for six months or more. We don't delete accounts of members who have posted. Their characters are merely sent to inactive. And we already have an activity check--it's called the Roll Call thread in the Announcements board.  |

The reason we don't delete the accounts of those who have been on the board for a while?
Well, for one, they could quite easily come back and it has happened on a number of occasions.
And secondly, if we delete all of those users, their posts remain and it just looks like we have been spammed by people who are not even members of this board, it just looks messy.
So yea, the only ones I go through and delete are those on 0 posts who haven't logged on in over a month. And whilst it's on my to do list, it's not really the top priority.

As someone has probably said, we have an Active Character List for each section. That way, people can leave the site for a while, but can bring their characters back into action later, with a Profile update probably. Like, I'm not sure if I'll be able to be active this fall, on account of college, but may wish to come back later.
